Made a new character yesterday, Zenidal the Supposed Bosmer Illusionist, but at this point the Mask of Zenithar might have taken the wheel at this point. I'm not sure whether or not to make it a Daedric Artifact designed to trick others into thinking its divine, or having the helmet just be a magical personality that injects itself onto those that wear it. With him, I started doing College of Winterhold quests and tried out Spell Researching. Passed 100 Enchanting in fucking no time. The mod is fun, but god damn the EXP output on the artifacts (which give free enchanting levels on use) is broke. I also killed 3 goddamn dragons at the college so far.

Install OBSE and all the OBSE plugins first, then the unofficial patch, and if you've got a full version of the game you need the shrouded isles and DLC unofficial patches as well.

HGEC, Roberts, OCO, OCO patches, body textures, orsimer overhaul, OOO, then other stuff.

Don't use Alternative Start Arive by Ship, use Alternative Beginnings, you don't need Roberts Female Body replacer texture compatibility add-on since you aren't using that body. Sort your load order with BOSS.

As for TR, I like to start at Helnim and work my way north, then follow the east coast all the way down to Necrom. There's no real procedure. Just treat it like vanilla Morrowind and rp/explore. You're gonna wanna be around level 10 for most dungeons.

First, I can not for the life of me to get DarnifiedUI to work with fucking Wryebash. Second, apparently realistic leveling's .ini file isn't found whenever I launch up the game.

I'm using MO with Oblivion so I haven't tried installing Darn with Wryebash but if I had to guess the problem is probably somewhere to have to do with the .ini edits required to get the fonts working.

Honestly you're best off getting the OMOD and installing it with OBMM, from there if you want you could take the files it installs after you choose your options in the wizard and zip those back up and install them with Wrye and do a manual ini edit if you really want everything managed by Wrye but I would just manage that mod under OBMM. No need to go to that much trouble since they both install to your data folder.

Oblivion XP is closer to a traditional RPG system, you gain experience points for certain actions and when you reach the next level you choose your skill and attribute increases. So you get XP for killing, exploring, stealing, earning fame/infamy and a whole bunch of other shit. Realistic Leveling is similar in basic concept to Vanilla leveling, you use skills a certain amount and they increase and skill increases contribute to stat increases. It differs in a much improved execution, the most important of which is that endurance gains affect your HP retroactively. Skills also have secondary and tertiary stats tied to them that they'll contribute to, along with a bunch of other shit. A lot of it is configurable in an ini file that comes with it, but it's very usable even with the default settings.

Of the moddable Bethesda games Oblivion's modding community was probably the least focused on lore friendliness and producing mods that fit in with a vanilla or vanilla-like experience.
