Now here's the biggest problem with the game. There's not a single fucking interesting environment in the entire game. The first game starts out by throwing you into a haunted prison before you even know what's going on, and just get your ass handed to you by everything as you try and scrape together experience points and gold. It was atmospheric, it was creative, it was interesting. As for VK3, after the hour or so of asinine dialogue and unnecessary tutorials, you finally get let outside so you can grind rabbits and collect 10 pelts for a quest, just in a regular field. And the game never got better from there.

The story was pretty standard in DT2 to be perfectly honest. Good thing the characteres are likable and the gameplay is great. But yeah, the story was pretty predictable.

Man, I want to see what changes they've made to DT2-2, the expectations with that one are high at least for me. The bad thing is that it comes so late in Vitas life so localized versin is uncertain. Gust OPs have usually been great. I always watched Ar Tonelico OPs when I booted up PS2/3 to play them. These days sleep function is so good that I rarely see the OPs anymore. Dusk had one of the best OPs in Atelier series too. Love those OPs.
