LMFAO what? No one is ever going to pick Zarya over a Reinhardt. She is an off-tank and will never, ever replace him in a line up. To buff him in response to her, or vice versa, is fucking mind numbing. Both teams will have a Rein. Both teams will have Earthshatter always, and and the incredibly powerful ultimate will be spammed at every engagement. Nerfing that ludicrous charge rate has nothing to do with Zarya, or any one else.

Yeah,even ignoring that cherrypicking, the point isn't to make Zarya's faster, the point is to make Rein's slower. Ultimates are ruining this, Blizzard has shown time and time again they don't want Q's to own the meta, and right now Earthshatter does exactly that.

Blizzard doesn't use normal matchmaking. They actively try to force you as close to 50% winrate as they can, and your rating is based on your performance per hero compared to other players.

This isn't MMR in the logical sense you are used to.

Think of Dota. Picture the algorithms tried to force you to have as many losses as wins as you can. And your rating granted post game based on your performance with the hero you choose.

It's the same range as hog's hook.
As a Rein main I dont give a fuck if they nerf earthshatter's range as long as they compensate with a wider sector or something.
I've had quite a few occasions when I missed targets that were barely 5 feet away because they were standing slightly to the side and not directly in front of me.

The better your team, the less healing you need to do, and to a much lesser but still present effect, the less time you spend blocking.

This is the reason people constantly bitch about the system seeming unfair. Because the best games they have were they finish the match quickly, are rewarded with drastically less rating.

The top players are overwhelmingly damage only. If you want to play competitive Overwatch, go damage or just quit because the game is going to fuck you over.

Also inb4 Blizzard will fix this. It's season 3 and these problems are still there. They aren't going away any time soon.

Everyone I play with is so far away from Diamond rank skill level yet they're ranked GrandMaster.

Should the way healing affects armor be changed?

Technically, 1 armor is worth more than 1 hp but they both take the same effort to fill in. I think this leads to this very precarious balance between making armored heroes survivable as intended vs. too tanky to beat
