It used to see wide use as an extreme range sniper ship but when Tengu's came out they became the best thing to use purely because they were incredibly difficult to scan down at those ranges.

Eagles then became the next best thing, they were less expensive than Tengu's with as much range for half the cost

Guys I need help I'm getting addicted to cancerous RLML ships.
It started out pretty innocuous with home defense caracals for our wolf rayet wormhole, but it's been steadily escalating.

I got an orthrus next and I've been bringing it to ganks. I figured it wouldn't be too bad and "if I take it out just this once" it would be ok. But it keeps happening and the temptations grow steadily.
Now my orthrus is up to 9 killmarks there are no signs of it slowing down. Someone even brought point range links recently, it was a new kind of rush.

To make things worse, I recently skilled into a cerberus and bought 4 of them, but it shits on people way too hard and oh god what was CCP thinking when they made this thing holy shit.

I'm talking about for fleet concepts. Many alliances don't want to adopt doctrines that get poor performance per isk. They'd rather their users spend more to the upper 400-500 million isk range to get a faction battleship like a machariel or a rattlesnake that ACTUALLY has good performance. Even if its only T2 fit Its a way better and more formidable ship than going the cheap end.

Hopefully when CCP rebalances T1 battleships they get something worth using because now they're largely underwhelming in fleets.

Hardly, when Shadow Cartel attempted to do rattlesnakes they were instantly countered by firewalls, then sniped by artillery and tachyon beam laser platformed ships. Firewalls and Nightmares are just one of the ways to counter rattlesnakes from beyond rattlesnake ranges. Drones even with their 300% HP buff easily wiped out. Sentries aren't worth shit anymore. Thats when SC changed to their hyper tanked Machariels that, with links, boasted 400k EHP

None of these ships are blatantly overpowered when they can be stopped by one of the many direct hard counters to their gimmick. Nightmares are extremely susceptible to webs because they rely on AB's for their speed. Rattlesnakes can be defanged so easily with firewalls. Machariels suck ass outside of 40km because of the way AC's fall off sucks ass.

Bhaalgorns aren't good for anything really and no one has formed an ENTIRE doctrine around them at all. All they can do is neut for excessive amounts, kind of web out to like 25km and they have an OK drone bay. No one runs lasers on them because they only get 8 effective guns.

This isn't an issue and no one has had some massive raw dominance other than simply bringing more numbers.

And yes, Bhaalgorns being like 250m isk is totally fine because thats the way the free market works. Bhaalgorns aren't wickedly popular when they were 400m before goons moved to delve and they aren't particularly good at anything beyond being an armageddon with steroid neuts

They rely on AB's Unlike a MWD that gives you 625% speed bonus and can power through webs easily. The AB on a nightmare doesn't compare, Its why things like scrams obviously don't affect nightmares so if you have a nightmare fleet you better bring a huginn or two to stop their kiting in their tracks. If it was a MWD based battleship fleet you were fighting, bringing HIC points, lachesis or arazu's are the primary way to stop their kite. You missed the point entirely.

Orca gets another +100% so it's 880m3 on it.

Even if command bursts work on drones, Orca has same boost strength as Rorqual.

I've been playing a few months now and I have all race's spaceship command skills up to battleships, gunnery skills up to large guns, missile skills, and support skills up to at least 3, and 4 or 5 for many. I haven't trained into any t2 ships yet as I have no idea which type of ships or weapon systems to focus on so I don't want to waste a month training for a t2 ship I'll not use.
