So when trying to determine which class to play, I guess gameplay doesn't matter that much since gameplay feels kinda "same-y" besides the difference between melee and ranged.

Most people agree IA has the best class story but what would you say, which class has the best or most interesting companions/companion storylines?

Can I play swtor by just doing the class missions? The story missions are the only ones I enjoyed when I played it years ago. The sub quests were always extremely boring and repetitive. Pretty much I'm asking is it possible to play this like a solo RPG or do i have to play the MMO elements to level up? Thanks

It's annoying that the first people Inquisitors are forced to kill in cold blood for their quests are slaves.

Warriors can avoid killing in that section on Dromund Kass, but for Inquisitors who would actually give a damn 'collect 3 drops' is a mandatory stage.

You have to do some extra stuff but not a huge amount. Like less than 50% of your time would need to be spent on ancillary bullshit.

During the DvL event last year doing just the class missions got you from 1-50 no problem, but that was a temp thing to keep subs up till KOTET dropped.

Think FOC, but with huge differences in the factions. Rebels would control only a few planets and the Imperials would need to do certain things or have events happen to find hidden rebel bases n shit. do what I did. Just do the "vanilla" TOR. Level to 70 doing heroics and flashpoints and pvp.

That way you still have your entire crew. If you WANT you can do Makeb. You will still have your crew in your ship.

Even do Revan if you want. You will still have your crew on your ship.

But don't go past that. An empty ship sucks ass. I used to spend all my spare time on my ship just hanging out with my waifu. Waiting for PvP to pop or LFG. Send them out to do crew missions while I would watch some youtube videos or something. But I stayed in my ship.

Now that my ship is empty I go to fleet. I can't stand my empty ship. It makes me sad.

I know it has a lot of singleplayer content, and it's good for "MMO", but how does it actually compare to real singleplayer RPGs? If I do get it, should I sub for a month or whatever to have all the good "quality of life" stuff for questing?

I'm craving for Star War games, but there's really nothing to fill the void.
