its important that you dont gain levels in stats you dont want because reverting such mistakes requires either effort or being a good goy

Yes. Do you not remember it from the original?

Anyway, feeding your mag is a major component of building your stats, and it's very hard to fix big mistakes. (either you pay cash for a fresh mag or you pay 50 excubes to drop a single stat one level.)

The common choice is to max out the appropriate atk stat for your class.

yes i remember the mag from the old days. it has been a while so i am not too sure on what it used to do 100%. I am only level 4 so I do not think I have a mag yet? Not sure. They are godly at mobbing and run and loot EQs. On the other hand your single target boss damage is a lot lower than what other classes can do with similar gear.
Play Katana BR if you want to kill loads of normal mobs very quickly while zooming around big maps at sanic speeds. For EQ Bosses you are better off using a bow or going a different main class entirely.

Class level 80 unlock req (at least one portion of it) is to have completed all the sp co's for that class. Unknown if it's per char or per account, probably the former.

Just checked back on this, they're re-adding a PD collection so that you can obtain rays for union upgrades (don't know if it's the same one or not) but making it easier to finish this time around. I believe I heard kimura state for weapons things that the ray has will be transferred to the union (affixes, grind level), but I can't guarantee he said the same for units (though I think he did, even mentioning timed installs). don't quote me on this.

The key is that they didn't though, and if it helped them do demonstrably higher dps than the guy who took no damage that proves that their build is superior. A guy taking no damage and doing more dps on the other hand can be used as prove that automate is just a crutch for shitters.
Important to note here is that DPS isn't always comparable either, since a lot of factors like how many phases were repeated, how long stuns lasted, buffs, drinks, wb and so on have a huge impact, but it's a useful tool for comparing organized MPAs where most of these factors should be similar.

I love to play magic knights in any game that allows me to do so. I'm also what you'd call a "Timmy" in MTG -I'd rather suck playing something I like than be 1337 with something I don't-. I've been pretty chill playing with a FO/HU since beta, and I don't care much about being too social so I don't usually have to deal with other people's complaints.

Of course that doesn't mean I don't strive to improve within my own terms. Lately I've been maxing other classes for the title bonuses, and while getting awesome DPS with more recommended builds didn't manage to give me the same warm fuzzies as slicin' an' dicin' at the heart of a Nagrants, having other classes maxed makes it easier to try things out.

So, let's say I simply must use swords and offensive techs, or else I die a little inside irl. Let's also say that I don't intend to quit the game nor seek psychological help. What would be the least sucky option?

First of all, you do suck undoubtedly if you're running a build like that and I hope I never run into you ingame.

If you just want striking in general, you could do TeBr or something and skin your wand as a sword of some kind while wand smacking things into oblivion and simultaneously doing okayish tech damage.

But if you must play that way, at least play something that makes some sense like Bo something or other? Bouncer is meant to use swords and techs, although I won't argue that the techs would be very powerful.
