It seems like SQUARE ENIX is either cheaping out on CDNs or obviously the game is dying because they don't want "new players" to play. Yeah, I think the Raise mechanic is even implemented in IV. The only time I think the cloak could ever have been forcefully opened was when they first made him an Ultimate and you could use a Thief attack to open the cloak like in IV DS. It was a really well-designed fight imo.

Trash waves aren't really a problem; I can spend a bit of meter on a BSB and just by using the commands have enough to re-use it in the next wave or two. In the D200 fight I spent a lot of the time auto-attacking to preserve hones since they did jack shit with wall up.

Pecil's 2 is also roughly on par with Saints Cross once you hit 3ish targets I believe.

I just spammed attack while trash hit my backrow lurer with an Ace Striker BSB user to clear early waves. You can easily build 2 bars just doing that without ability usesge although Hydras can just fuck your shit up with AoE. This strategy relies on a healer burst though.

I already posted this team here a couple dayd ago, but here it is again. It was a mage setup with OK cleaning out trash. Terra was able to build two bars doing nothing but auto attacking while Tyro lured everything. Extra Wall RW allowed me to utilize the shared Faithga late in the triplet fight.

Hydras were the worst trash for me to face thanks to their 80k HP to go through.
