So the rundown of Eliwood's story is that he is stuck grieving over his mother's death, which has been worrying his wife (in this case, I chose Fiora) since he hasn't really been getting out much or eating a whole lot. This has also caused some problems outside, as the Bolm Mountain Bandits have taken advantage of the situation to lay siege to Eliwood's kingdom. In this part of his story, you are to clear the map of all bandits to end the chapter. You will receive the following units to do so:

This is the starting position of your units. I made sure to play the map beforehand so that I new what I was getting into. For the confused, that Great Knight is Lowen (the class has been named Cataphract for whatever reason). Eliwood is a "new" class, the Peer class. It's essentially the lord class but his stats are just way better (he gains about as much experience as an advanced unit).

yeah on on single character but the setup still doesn't promote its use. There are ninja's with 3 attack range in each room that can hit units in the one hallway you must use. Even if they move forward and tank those shurikens by dodging them, they still die instantly to the melee units that charge you head on.

Here's what I did:
First have a freeze and entrap staff. Entrap and kill the closest master of arms.

Then, bait the right-most ninja that has a spy shuriken, making sure he's in the bottom left of his little room.

Then, use someone with lunge + range to switch with the ninja, and kill him (someone with 2 range can do so without being in range of any enemies). At the same time, use freeze on the right-most ninja that has a silver shuriken. This will allow whoever lunged into the room to fight the master of arms in there without getting fucked up. From there should be a lot easier to clear the right side.

I'm not letting an FE run I was legitimately enjoying come to an end 25 chapters in because of a chapter that was literally designed to be impossible bullshit anti-fun. I don't feel like I really "earned" the win on that chapter, even changing to casual mode I just did because I was tired of dumb RNG and resetting after 40+ minutes because of one crit or dumb fuck up. I was really enjoying this run until about 20 chapters in, whenever that dumb fox village stage showed up. Ever since then every chapter has just felt stupid and gimmicky. I was really hopeful when I hit chapter 10 and it was just a genuine fair but difficult challenge and now they just piss it away with dumb skill combinations and uncounterable weapon setups. At this point I just want to see how the story ends because the gameplay died when they thought making invulnerable units with pass that double almost everything was genuine challenge.Even with that chapter I managed to play well enough to do it without deaths but since then its just been an uphill battle of gimmicks and bullshit. What a fucking letdown, conquest showed such promise for the first 15-20 chapters.

They're fine, you just need a way to counter their bullshit like an ability/item/staff that makes you immune to or reduces the effects of stat reductions, and significantly nerfing poison strike. That actually seems like a cool strategy. I didn't actually see the wall was breakable from the inside, either I'm just blind or in the nip version its not. Send Effie to the left path with a javelin instead, as long as she has wary fighter she can tank everything and soften everyone up. That way you'll only need maybe one freeze staff to prevent her from getting sent up into the hallway next to Saizo (since there's a swordsmaster with life-or-death up there that can fuck your shit up).

Man I recall that to route Chapter 25 in Lunatic I had to recruit Flora until that very chapter to get her with B rank in staves plus fuckloads of Skill and have all three: Felicia, Elise and Flora on Freeze Staff duty. Plus rallying the shit out of Xander with Arthur and Camilla to compensate for the debuffs.

I used Visit rewards, so having a Dual Katana on Xander meant Ninjas had low hit rate, which helped mitigate the debuffs on the beggining. Still Kagero's corridor of pain was horrible.

Seriously, look at Elise's growths and she's literally Nyx but better in every single stat. Look at their bases and Elise has 11 mag at level 5 while Nyx has 12 mag at level 9. Nyx does has C rank in tomes, though.

You can literally park her on the Westmost Gate and leave her there, she will pretty much be fine for the entire chapter and kill everything that crosses her due to the Avoid boost

She's decent if trained lategame too, since she ORKOs in a lot of chapters (and gets 1-2RKO'd in return but I digress)

Alright, let's continue from where we left off.

I have Dorcas wait for a turn on the staircase tile to take advantage of the level's gimmick (it you have a character wait on a staircase, they will exit upon enemy phase and reappear from the staircase opposite to theirs on the player phase). He pops out after a turn on the other end of the map, and I have him move over to this pillar. While this is happening, I move my units away from the starting point in two groups, taking care of the enemies and healing any wounds taken. Dorcas holds his own here against the unpromoted fodder, but he Berserker poses a bit of a problem. He wields a Quick Axe, which works like a Brave Axe only with weaker stats. Thankfully he only had about a 40% chance of hitting when you equip Dorcas with the Swordreaver, making his onslaught a little less threatening. That and he gets 2RKO'd by Dorcas, which is nice. Killing him will get you the Quick Axe he's holding, and it's always good to have more weapons.
