It has a ton of horizontal recoil and it's especially apparent if you try and use the gauss saw at its appropriate ranges instead of an ineffective CQC weapon.

I also kind of want to add, I've noticed through accidentally memorizing names that VS has more and more organized squads than other factions (especially late at night) filled with mlg quake pros or some times just straight up cheaters. This is what I hate, I'd say I could beat these guys but they always click on my head instantly and kill me in their weapons theoretical ttk. VS pub guys are only slightly better than NC and in fact tend to suck which is why I prefer to fight them in prime time. TR seems to have a lot of pub unity overall with mic chat being used left and right to coordinate and inviting and dropping people to squads and platoons for as long as you're working for the same goal. Other pubs don't seem to have that kind of pick up game cohesion I see on TR at all.

Everyone seems to think NC teamkill unintentionally, or because they're idiots. No, you don't understand. NC teamkills are 100% done on purpose. You see, many people on NC have played MOBA's, and they've learned that one of the most effective ways to hurt the enemy is to deny them kills.

That's really the genius of the NC. They aren't teamkilling out of hatred or ineptitude, but out of extreme practice and honed skill. The enemy leaves the fight if he doesn't get any kills.

Okay, to the anon I disagreed with over the Gauss Saw being better than the Godsaw, I realized the mistake I was making was adding the compensator+advanced foregrip benefits to the Godsaw's base stats without realizing that those benefits are already baked in.

I just re-looked at the Gauss Saw and Godsaw:

NC6 Gauss Saw - Default
Vertical Recoil: 0.55
Horizontal Recoil: 0.175
Horizontal Tolerance: 0.525

Godsaw - Advanced Foregrip + Compensator
Vertical Recoil: 0.444125
Horizontal Recoil: 0.14
Horizontal Tolerance: 0.49875

NC6 Gauss Saw - Advanced Foregrip + Compensator
Vertical Recoil: 0.4675
Horizontal Recoil: 0.11725
Horizontal Tolerance: 0.35175

The Godsaw has slightly better vertical recoil, but SIGNIFICANTLY worse horizontal.

Furthermore, doing some quick math on the CoF bloom, I've determined that the area of your CoF more than doubles every 4 bullets.

In conclusion: The Gauss Saw is flat out better than the Godsaw in almost every way, and you shouldn't fire more than 4 bullets without letting your CoF reset. (Not sure how long that takes, probably like 180ms?)

It's inconsistent because directives were half assed and made in a hurry to give salty vets something to grind other than kills.

When it got pushed to live it wasn't ready at all and I had several occasions where my directives were reset and like 3 months later they did a non retroactive fix.

Auraxium weapons and armors look like shit in high settings and like vomit in low settings, they clearly didn't put a lot of effort into it.

First the original air bulldog nerf because of how we were using it on the liberator and people cried it was a mini dalton. Then people cried that the a30 walker was too good and too accurate on the Galaxy so they nerfed only the aircraft version of it. Then noobs cried that they got one shot leaving the spawn room because they have no idea how the game works, so they were all given FREE flak armor 5. And even more recent they introduced a weapon that does HALF of the galaxys Hp and STILL people are complaining and crying for nerfs? So now they gut the AI potential, remove its effectiveness at fighting vehicles, AND remove thermals from ALL a2g weapons? What a joke. Maybe learn how to play the game that you enjoy instead of literally turning all of our guns into happy fun time super soakers.
Especially embarrassing since the "dev" in charge of "balance" is someone that's never spent more than a few minutes in a vehicle and just wants to make his own life easier. Shame we had to kill him so much, but he never ONCE pulled an aircraft to deal with us. Just like all the other people I see that come here to cry about a2g, not a single one has ever gotten remotely decent at piloting aircraft.

really hits the mark. Werl is literally just screwing with balance to make his life easier, whether through buffing things he uses, nerfing things that kill him, or by appeasing reddit's most vocal whiners.
Don't get me wrong, gal bulldog and gal as a whole are broken and need to be nerfed, but he is only nerfing them now as a consequence of being shat on big time. Its OP state actually has a very low impact on the game: there are a handful of people abusing it, and only N is doing that to a significant extent. Compare that with how much libs and HE, or banshee, or PPA, and so on, were being spammed, to see what I mean.

The only reasonable approach to the bulldog nerf is "meh, it was OP, about time". Being actually happy about these changes and "airnigger tears" means you are a bad player who still, in four years, hasn't learned how not to get constantly killed by air.

What they've done now will just turn infantry farmers into sunderer farmers. If sundies are all that render on thermals (and from significantly further range), they'll be a prime target to spam a2g at. Sure it might hurt their kph, but probably not as heavily as halved thermal range. It also doesn't incentivise a2g to get close to the target for decimemeing, like halved thermal range would. It's going to give libs an even easier time dispatching sundies too.
