So two weeks ago we either needed 2 things to downgrade. Soldering experience, or another DS. Most people didn't really have the 2, so they were stuck. But, when CC3C hit we were given new knowledge. We were able to downgrade without a separate system or a DsiWare game. Now we have arm9 features on 11.2 and shit. Which means, no downgrading to 9.2 only to downgrade again. We can simply read a boot file and downgrade straight to 2.1 and grab our OTP.bin file. This and the news about downgrading without a DSiWare game on any firmware made this scene shit it's pants.

You'll need to dump the NOR flash, patch it, flash it back and then install your Rebug PUP

Follow a decent guide and as the other anon said, make a bunch of backups. I'd recommend making at least 3, if not 5 to be 100% certain you're getting a good dump.

Once you've got a dump, you just patch it, flash it to your PS3 with the E3, and then downgrade away.
