Today I learned about soundhax. Does it mean that I can install a9lh now on this console? Should I do soundhax, enter HBL and proceed with a9lh installation? From what I gather Sighax is still month away and I want to unlock my console.

I've copied all the correct files to my SD card and whenever I try to load 2xrsa from the browser the console just freezes. I don't know how Soundhax works but anyway, you need some method of downgrading the NFIRM (DSiWares are ideal because they can write anywhere on NAND). Then on 10.4 NFIRM you use OoT3DHax to downgrade to 9.2

The only downside of OoT3DHax is that for every version, you need to change the payload (that is, load on it a specific version of the exploit for that firmware). The boring way is doing it with a save editor hardware (I can't remember the name of that cheating dongle), the easy way is to pop it in another 3DS that already has HBL working, and launching the Oot3D Sploit thing (I think it comes there by default) and selecting the model (N/O) and firmware you want to use it on.

When downgrading from 11.2, had to load the 11.2 payload on it, then the 10.4 payload, then the 9.2 payload (or in 9.2 you could alternatively use browser thing to load HBL).

Can someone explain where I keep fucking up for installing vpks onto my Vita? If I try to install just the full vpk, nothing shows up in Molecular Shell after I bring it over via qcma and if I try install it via Skeleton.vpk via qcma (How I normally installed .vpks onto Vita just a few months ago) I can now see the game.vpk file and content folder but I get an error 0xFFFFFFF when trying to install from the eboot.bin and Sys_folder turned Game.vpk file. I am on 3.60, latest Henkaku installed, Molecular Shell 1.43 and am at a loss for why none of the transfer methods are working I am trying to install MGS 2 HD vpk if that helps at all. I know I have plenty of space I have 5gb left and am trying to install a 1.6gb game. Please help me /hbg/ wizards.

I read the OP, but didn't find much about PS3 information, so call me retarded if I skipped over something.

How do I go about downgrading my PS3? I know only certain models can do it and that it requires a hardmod to do it, but I'm not afraid to open my PS3 since I know how to solder. Is there some all-in-one guide that will tell me everything and help me determine if it is downgradable? I got it as a graduation gift back in 2009 and it was the MGS4 + Killzone 2 80gb bundle.

Anybody tested Retroarch much on n3DS? I mostly just wanna see what systems are worth loading up roms for and if any of the Retroarch cores are better than the other emulators available.

What capabilities will I be losing by transferring my NNID from my hacked 2DS to my New3DS? I looked at the guide and it states I won't be able to move it back to the 2DS afterwards so it'll permanently be without.

As far as I can tell from googling, NNID is only necessary to download shit from eshop so i'll be without that (boo hoo), but i've been wrong before.

true custom firmware installed to the NAND and not on the fly patches at boot. we can write firmware with passable signatures onto the NAND when this comes out. no more luma or a9lh. the whole NAND firmware will be completely custom and pass all signatures. this will probably mean things that are patched on the fly like region free and firmware write protection will be part of the NAND firmware directly. a few exploits will allow a9lh exploit and then a signature hacking bootrom exploit to install permanent custom firmware. no more requiring files on the SD card for a lot of patches since it will be built in to the firmware directly. think a complete package but now built in to the true custom firmware on the NAND of the 3DS. the only files on the SD card would be games, saves, save backups, roms for emulators, NDS roms for TWLoader, and a complete NAND backup.
