Though I'll admit right now meidos probably spoiled me greatly, and with my limited experience with Honey Select's modding it'll probably be a long time before Illusion takes notes from KISS and applies the same formula to their games. Then there's the inevitable clothes clipping, but you're a playing a 3d porn game, so that shouldn't come as a surprise.

Then there's the issue of card sharing and incompatible mods, that'd lead to inevitably suffering the same fate as CM3D2/HS did. I can't even say there could be a attempt at trying to regulate them into packs like with HEXA. It could work with hair and maybe eyes/facial accesories maybe, but probably not outfits at all.

Because you didn't change the list file to say that it has a flip slot. The hair is there, you can set it with AAFace or ReiEdit, but you can't use that checkbox without editing the list and changing the "enable flip box" 0 to a 1.

Then you cut the file using ctrl+x and paste it with ctrl+v in the place where you see a file with its same name in your AA2 folders.

So, I recently downloaded this because I see it always gets talked about so much, but I didn't really have any idea of what it was other than a porn game in a school.

So, am I getting this wrong or is the content VERY lacking? Are there any giant mods or something? Because you've seen everything the game has to offer in a matter of a couple hours. No, I don't count different models or prettier effects and shit as content. Is this really all there is to the game?

Almost all of the content in this game is generated as a consequence of your created characters interacting with eachother. If you rely on PC > NPC interactions for content, you're going to be disappointed. Even though realistically you have not seen all of it in a matter of hours. It's simply impossible.

It's still popular because creating characters and modding this game is fun. As is watching your characters do their thing. Most hentai games have no emergent gameplay whatsoever, this has it.
Original AA had it too and it was popular for quite a while, but the problem with that one was horrendously limited character customization which killed it off eventually. A problem AA2 does not share to the same extent.

There is tons of depth which you're probably not even aware of because the game is not intuitive. And I say that by hentai game standards, there are obviously non-hentai games that blow this out of the water in terms of depth. Not so much hentai games, though. Specially not 3D ones.

Robot, Apricot, and Wise are all as good as the official personalities. The two custom ones from Envy also seem official-tier, seeing as he got someone to do the voicework. The limitation of personality modding is the voice files. Getting every file and making them fit the game is a long process.

Yeah the two clannad personalities are the only ones I consider any good. Definitely not as good as the default ones though, but I still use them and like them a lot. AA1 ports don't work so I assume the best way to make a great personality is have a source material with hours of voice content.
