Soooo, why aren't there Persona users in the mainline games? We know that Devil Summoners and Persona users exist in the same universes, thanks to Persona 2's inclusion of Kyouji Kuzunoha and Tamaki Uchida. There shouldn't be anything stopping Persona users from existing in say, SMTIV, right?

Fuck, the differences between Demons and Personas is confusing. Demons are created by observation, groups of people believing them into existence, and Personas come from the Sea of Souls, or collective unconsciousness. In Persona Q, it was said that being like Chronos were formed by humanity's ideas about higher beings controlling the workings of the world.

I'm confusing myself more. Shadows are also essentially the same thing as Personas, except they're wild and untamed. Guess that explains why Demons come out of Shadows in Persona 5 and turn into Personas. Huh, I guess that explains why you can negotiate with Demons in P1/2 and summon Personas with their cards.

Wait. Didn't Eternal Punishment say something about it? Something to do with the Magnetite rock in Seven Sisters High School.

Not often are you always going to have a passives vs multiple flavors of spells fusion choice, and some passives are better than others, and lower tier damage spells are almost useless once you've tiered away from them even if you get a free turn out of them.

Yeah, that's not a thing. Demons think not being able to fuck over other people and amass infinite personal wealth may as well be that, but there's no actual indication that that's what the people are actually like. Even angels look diverse and clearly have different personalities and personal aesthetics, much less the humans who are never made as much into a group mind as angels are. Of course they enjoy it, since them enjoying it -is- the purpose. Their world is structured to focus on benefiting people happiness wise and preventing suffering as opposed to focusing on "muh license to be an asshole."

In fact, once experiencing a law world it would probably be considered intense suffering or disappointment to go back to anything else. Not just because there is no longer an assurance of being taken care of that frees up worry for your own interests, but because spite is reintriduced to people in a way that will make opening up to eachother less common, and people will go back to being closed off and distant from eachother. So if anything many people are missing out on experiences of being closer with eachother that are simply not as common when you're not in a law world that makes it more intuitive to not close yourself off. Its the people in neutral worlds who aren't really experiencing the best life has to offer.

It wasn't during YHVH dungeon, but once I had to do something so I closed my 3DS in the middle of a battle for a while. When I opened it, the battle music stopped playing, and when I pressed attack the menu went away and nothing was happening. Then I pressed the home button and it crashed.

From what I've played so far, the only thing IV does better than Apoc is Characters and Plot/General Writing. It does them a LOT better though.

It's very good, in my opinion. The dungeons are great, the gameplay pace is pretty quick (Start-to-dungeon time is almost faster than fucking SMT4), bosses are clever, combat is fun and the game is adding new options to it every chapter.

The chain combos never got old for me but I can imagine they might for some.

It is pretty much an SMT game with the demon negotiations and fusing replaced with a "learn skills from weapon use" system

Voice Ripper anon here: I checked my files, And while the Rom gave me two files ("exefs. bin" and "romfs. bin").
"Romfs. bin" contained all the voice lines (minus the partners in battle) and the other, "exefs .bin" contains the game's 3DS menu's boot screen jingle.

i like the snes version more as far as english options go, but give the ios one a go. all of my reasons for liking the snes version more are subjective (ios/gba's faux-3d hits me hard with motion sickness, the brightened colors look horrible to me, and i think atlus's script is extremely dry uninteresting). the ios version has a few extras due to being based on the snes version. nothing life-altering, but it's worth mentioning. big thing are the vision items which let you view little cutscenes that further expand on some plot points that would be out of the narrative scope of the game.

if you do go snes, get orden's patch and the patch that lets you press a shoulder button to open the map.

if you know some nip and are okay with the game being marginally slower than the snes version, ps1 is best imo

It is rather favored by skills, as Divine Shot (magatama Nirvana) and Deadly Fury (magatama Satan) have absurd critical hit rates. In the endgame you get a magatama that teaches Freikugel (magatama Kailash) that is almighty physical damage that can still crit and deal absurd damage. The bigger reason why you should go phys, however, is that the secret final boss, Lucifer, naturally resists every single element including almighty. The only way to bypass it is with the Pierce skill that you get when you go TDE, and it only works on physical skills (and Freikugel).

In my first run I got bored of the second Kalpa and didn't went TDE.

With the corrupted bcwav files being uncorrupted and now readable, they were mainly sound effects of moves in battle like when you use Zio or Makarakarn. They were not the partner's support lines.

So while I did find the Smirk sfx and three of Navarre's lines when he uses the sword in field, there is nothing in the rip I did that has the partners sound effects. Sorry anons.
