Possibly the best long range main battery in the game for cruisers (along with the Moskva).
Surprisingly good armor.
Giant invisifire range.
The fact that everyone just assumes it fires nothing but HE seems to lul people into giving broadside, and you can devastating strike the shit out of people with the AP because it has stupidly good AP too.
For me it's by far the easiest ship in the game to farm damage on, between setting everything on fire, the solid HE damage, the deceptively good AP, and the fact that it's a stupidly hard ship to kill if you know how to sail it, it really is worth it if you enjoy the other IJN CAs.

Incorrect. The previous benchmark for a decently trained captain was 15 points, and it takes consistently more time to acquire a new skillpoint between 0 and 14. Or to put it in your mildly confusing wording, each new skillpoint requires a non-insignificantly greater amount of xp to earn.
Unless of course you were referring to the gradient of the graph in which case you're still talking to the wrong audience.
