IX is the game in the series in which the art style really went up. Like SR wasn't nothing special for its time. There were tons of games that looked better at the time. Same for VI and V. Quest was an improvement but IX is on a different level, at least in my opinion it's one of the best looking vns at the moment. And Rance is one of the things that look a lot better than before. It's a huge hassle and if Kaybliss spends considerable efforts on Maginot line Hornet faction gets to play offensive.

Also only Demon Lords / fiends are immune to damage; and they're still effected by things like inertia. When 6 WDB's hit you at the same time you have exert enough force to cancel the 6 beams, even if it doesn't hurt. It's exhausting and time consuming. Possibly only Redeye could do it, or maybe Kay-chan. The former has to watch his blood pact family and the latter is hated by just about everyone except Medusa.

If the Demon army was united they'd just murder Helman then go south but thanks to civil war Maginot line is super useful.

The chances of them being translated in near future are really low. For next game mg and as can choose between Sengoku, Quest, 01 and the other remakes or different series than Rance. MG is based in Japan and IP blocks Japan, and won't ship physical in nation due to it being illegal. Any Japanese man who wanted it would have to have reverse shipped overseas then back, and just digital requires a proxy. I'm not 100 percent sure but I think MG also blocks Japanese bank cards, since I used an American visa. Most otakus I know who would "reverse-import" are still going to buy the original copies like 3-4 times over.

5D and VI were released first because any longer and you couldn't release them at all. They've only just started releasing internationally. Not entirely where you are getting this notion otherwise.
