If you're willing to drop cash, you have two options:
Buy a rerolled account. If you're ever planning to spend cash this is by far the most efficient way to do it.
Buy the SSR ticket promo. In your first two(?) weeks, you can buy a special promo ticket and a special 10-roll ticket for 2500 paid jewels. You can then trade-in the the promo ticket for a non-limited SSR of your choice.

If you're not planning to spend money, I recommend you try to at least get both idols in events. It's not that hard, ranking idols are always among the strongest SRs in the game, and you get a lot of jewels. Save those jewels for Cinfes. Just aim to at least S-score everything. If you can consistently S-score master, you're at max efficiency, but even playing on pro is enough.

I started mid October during the Jet to the future event and it's the only event I'm missing the ranking SR for. Gotten atleast one copy, mostly two, ever since. I only rolled twice before this cinfest but I rerolled for a SSR when I started. If you're good you can easily get atleast one ranking SR with a budget team that still has rares. For reference it took me roughly a month to move on to Master difficulty and about half a month from that till my first Master FC.

Now my journey of saving jewels begins. To the day I get Ranko on her limited SSR return.

The events are way easier than Love Live. At your low level, you level extremely fast, so you have a ton of stamina. You can reach T5 or 20k (which nabs you both idols) without spending jewels easily. That said, up to what difficulty to you play and what score rank? Pro is very close in efficiency to Master and is actually more exp/stam efficient.

Normally, you could even push for T3 or even T2 if you use stamina drinks, but since the last event's and the next event's ranking idols are damn popular, that probably won't be easy.

As for cash, I got a 3 SSR starter for $40 and 2650 paid jewels cost ~27 EUR right now. Spend the extra 150 on daily rolls (60 paid jewels for one roll per day)

You mean the CinFes center skill? If you have an idol of each type on the unit (The type of the CinFes card counts), the skill will activate.

If you have a solid unit built around the CinFes SSR, then yes, you can technically brute force your way with a TriColor team and do a better job than a monotype unit.

If you don't have that many SSRs, chances are the tricolour setup will be stronger, since it will boost all your SSRs whereas the usual SSR skills will only work on same type SSRs. SSR skills are also much stronger than SR skills.
