50 ARC, 18 STR and 12 SKL is the requirements to use a huge variety of weapons with elemental gems slotted. Where you go after that depends on what else you want to use.

If you want the HMS as a primary weapon then 25/25 is perfect.

If you want to use Wheel, Tonitrus and Boom Hammer as well, then leaving SKL at 12 and leveling STR would be the better option. Slightly less HMS damage, but you'd open up a bunch of new options for yourself.

With the milkweed rune it's fun as fuck. You got basic tentacle attacks with good reach, an AOE attack the hits multiple times if you're close enough, and one of the attacks shoots noodles all over the place.

You also get some funny animations like your dodges looking like your dick is pulling you firward and, of course, a cauliflower head.

Gemmed up and without the rune you can get viable enough damage for a fist only run on pve, but don't expect it to carry you through the deeper chalices or pvp.

What I do (and it might sound retarded) is have two stake drivers. One optimized specially for OP charged r2's and the other one gemmed up regurlarly.

Or just have the stake driver as a back up weapon when you think you can land the R2's.

It really is fun learning to time the transformed charged r2's. You can land them on 90% of all enemies with a good eniugh strategy and timing.

Shit, anybody got tips for a shitter trying to have fun in invasions? I'm not talking duels like in Frontier or Mensis, just good old invasions.
How do I deal with groups well? Had some guy tossing poison knives and stunning me while I got wailed on by the other two. I managed to lure one away and kill him, but is it a patience game? I spent the next 10 minutes chasing the host and the last cooperator around till the host pulled the plug.
So, blunderbuss any good for groups? It fires multiple shots, right, and stuns?
I'm guessing this next one is really just a connection issue, but the lag is insane sometimes. Hits not registering despite the blood, and then everybody taking lag damage an eon later, with a touch of teleportation on top of that.

Depends on your weapons. When farming on my skill build I simply parried them (shoot when his arm is open and it starts to bend forward), and on my blood build I'd use the bloodletter and L2 to reduce frenzy damage to 50% to save sedatives.

I just got into a depth 2 hintertomb, and the beckoner had executioner gloves and he was doing 350 with the pizza cutter R1 on enemies I did 430 with the BoM R1 with 50 skill and 23% gems, so I guess lvl 80 with worse gems wouldn't be weird. And he summoned two cooperators, and a third when one died.

People get bored in dungeons so they summon to try make it more exciting. Also since its procedural generated, people feel less bad about "ruining" the experience by having coop partners.

I have a Blt/Arc Twink with 18 Blt, a +10 Repeating Pistol with a 31.5% gem and BMA usually one-shots player summons. Flat Wheel is probably the most efficient Twink though.

Sadly it's not as simple as that, nor does it make much sense.

The trigger for friendly Djura is bizarrely encountering Paarl, not killing him just getting the insight from seeing him. After that you just need to approach him from behind (so either Paarls or BSB's lamp) and he'll be friendly.

The only other prerequisite is that Djura is alive. You can kill as many beasts on your first run through old Yharnam as you like. You can even fight Djura (but obviously not kill him) and kill his friend.

It's really poorly done, and I think they hadn't decided to make BSB the snatcher trigger when they made the "quest", because you can be a dick in old Yharnam, then Immidetly go to Yharhagul and befriend him.

Here's why I dislike the Cane so far
untricked form is basically a tiny toothpick that deals about as much damage as you'd expect.
Good range on trick form but really slow startup and surpringly small hitbox, making it hard to use on bigger monsters.
Very effectively in specific situations but none in that I feel like I couldn't do just as fine with most other weapons.

I'm dealing with Paarl and the first Watchdog of Old Lords you get in the chalice from BSB.
It's kind of cool with how far away I can bop the nose of the watchdog with the ticked R2. Against Paarl, the weapon just keeps attacking just under his body and missing because it takes to long to attack. it feels like I'm gimping myself using this dumb thing, I kind of wish I had jsut picked the Saw Cleaver like a huge casual.
