I'm a fan of moves that make monsters seem unpredictable at first glance, but are actually another strict pattern. So you have to actually LOOK at the monster and be attentive.

So give it a counter-clockwise spin that immediately follows into a charge, and make it so that if it charges the stomp with the left claw, it will immediately follow with a roar.

Exhaust oil is worth using at the beginning to get early staggers before tolerance builds up and so that monsters get exhausted.

As-is, they're alright picks overall with 200 raw, 10% affinity, and natural white. The problem is that Hellblade weapons just shit all over most of them since they're only 5% affinity short and have slightly shorter white for Blast but then again you have to worry about Hellblade powder. Base Tigrex weapons have 20 more raw and a slot for only -15% affinity as well while being all the easier to create, so there's competition there too.

Diablos is one of the better monsters for your core gud. Deep down, Capcom still cares about teaching the player how to play, that's why bloses are in practically every game and I hazard to guess why she got a deviant.

It's not the tremor lock into tackle that's a guessing game, its every time they burrow. At least, I can't find any consistent pattern to what they do underground. Also having to remove and add a separate skill for something like 1/10th of a moveset is dumb, having to do the same thing because that one move is near unavoidable without that one skill is bad design.

Hey man, I hunted for a Hardhorn on ...3U? Before people realized the Sand Barioth + Blos quest handed them out like candy. I got it through the Blos + Black Blos quest, with 70 Blos and 70 Black Blos in my log before seeing the first one.

Diablos gives me PTSD. She's easy as fuck when you know what you're doing and come prepared, but she's still an annoying piece of shit. I've never had issues fighting her without Tremor Res. just sheathe when she goes under, and super man as she comes up... works 100% of the time

'been playing since I made a post an hour or two ago. I don't think hunter styles are in, but artes appear to be. The weapon system is definitely its own though. Hunting Horn can move while singing, and hitting a button during your performance triggers a quad swing that lets you queue up notes, immediately into another performance. The drawback is you don't move as fast as the other games, even with white+white up. But with the super dash while performing and the new performance attacks it feels quite fun.

Had my ping shoot up from ~250 to 50,000. Apparently if you disconnect/crash you can reconnect into the hunt you were on.

Any GL vets in here? Ive got a pretty basic question about the weapon, but its something that I cant really figure out. How am I supposed to use shelling? I mean I guess I know, mixed in with lance hits, used to hit armored parts, fixed damage, I get all that. But when Im actually using the weapon in game shells feel super awkward to use. They push me back, which makes positioning weird, they eat up sharpness, Its a bit hard to tell how big their hitbox is, I never know when to reload them, I never know when to use them at all. So I end up just poking everything to death and occasionally using wyvern fire, but at that point I might as well use a regular lance and bombs.

Im not just trying to shit on GL, I really just dont get it. How do you personally use shelling? Do you shell as part of your bread n butter combo, or do you use them more sparingly, or what? Just looking for some insight from players who are less shit than I am.
