Yes. OSRS is, for all its content, feature-bare compared to the behemoth of a game that Runescape 3 is. But RS3 is so topheavy with endgame, high level content that had to be put in to accomodate powercreep and an aging playerbase that it was forced to make levelling incredibly easy through increased xp gains from new content. This renders old content irrelevant, leading to a game where everyone practically lives in the 'Elf City', and anyone who isn't maxed and just wants to have fun replaying the content they enjoyed a decade ago is considered a shitter.

Add in all the obnoxious MTX ads and an unstable ingame economy and you've got a bad game.

OSRS has less to do but is one of the most balanced MMO's available. It's a chance for Jagex to try again after learning from 10 years worth of mistakes.

Hardly a perfect game but it's a star pupil compared to its older sister.
