EO3 is the only one worth playing of the DS titles. It hasn't aged as terribly as the first two, and it's the only one without a remake. It has good difficulty but nothing impossible either.

I got my first Streetpass book in EOIV today. Was pretty excite until I realized they were way behind me and had the same exact treasure chart that I did.

What exactly are you supposed to do with those things? Is there a way for me to change/update my own book's treasure map? I've only now started being conscious of all this Streetpass stuff.

Because you haven't gotten good yet. My biggest concern in most of them is TP management more than anything else, it's easy to keep the party alive if you know what you're doing, the problem with bosses acting as HP sponges you need to get a good offensive rhythm going or your defensive measures will be depleted of resources before you're even close to done.

A lot of bosses get dangerous when they're in the red, but Force Breaks tend to make that phase in most battles go by quickly enough that it's a non-issue.

Rather than TP depletion I'm running into the issue of barely ever being able to place binds or ailments. Feels like it's a much higher uphill battle than the other games.
My hexer is struggling with these bosses only having one or two ail/bind weakness, which is especially painful when I know some of these resistances are what I need to overcome in order to lock down the boss.

Nightseeker is literally an assassin, one of their signature moves is Assassinate, and Toxic Throw is an advanced skill that does crippling amounts of poison damage, often enough to 1 shot things. Also EO doesn't have a lot of things for rogues to do, like pick locks, disarm traps or negotiate with terrorists.
