Potd will give you a 235 and then 255 weapon. Depending on when you quit, if you have ilvl enough for Sophia EX you could do that too, drops 255 as well.

Could someone please list a few fishes with an ilvl of 70? I'm stuck at cul desynth lvl 70 and every stupid guide says just do ilvl 70 fish there's "a bunch of them" but I've been on the MB and gamerescape for about 30 minutes now and haven't found a single one

New to WHM and trying it through POTD. How often do you use Medica instead of Medica II in dungeons and raids? I like Medica II and Assize together.

You don't need ps+ to play XIV. You only need PSN to be up to access the login. After that PSN could get fucked to next Saturday and you'd be unaffected until you exit the game.

Whm heals so much more than necessary so for ez content I just pop divine seal + medica II and regen, then switch to cleric to dps until those run off. Pop medica II and regen again to keep hp up. Next time divine seal will be up again (more potent heals, means more time in cleric stance).

Medica is only necessary when there's aoe damage going out that medica II WON'T deal with or if the whole party needs topping up a little.

It's really simple and fun.

In regards to the leveling boost, am I the only one who sees new players as a bunch of babies? It takes only a few days to get through the MSQ and hit level 60. What is all this talk about how its daunting and impossible for a new or returning player to catch up? Back in my day it took months, not days to reach max level in an MMO and those werent even neet hours.

Im not saying the MSQ was riveting by any means. I just don't see it as a big new player deterrent as people claim it to be. Compared to most MMOs XIV is one of the fastest to get to max level and thats including the first character that does the MSQ. Any logical person would conclude that the leveling process of an MMO like XIV isn't indicative of how the endgame is. If someone gets bored of an MMO in 1-2 days chances are its not the game's fault, that person just isn't into MMOs and should play a moba.

Lets be real here. The first half of this game is not the best and its boring as fuck.

The level boost is going to happen as it does every game. I personally look forward to it though because it could breathe some new life into the game if they didn't have trudge through the awfulness that is the start.

Besides what difference does it make? Leveling doesn't teach you shit in this and you don't even really learn anything anyway until post 50.

So, I'm really starting to get into this game, just got my arcanist to level 20. I'm struggling to decide between going Scholar or Black Mage. On the one hand, Scholar just seems aesthetically pleasing, plus healing times are down and I like feeling needed, as a healer. On the other hand, Black Mage just looks so stupidly over the top it's great. What would you guys recommend I do?

Get to like level 3. honestly just level to like 8 or something, it takes only a few minutes if you craft the stuff in your log. After that, it starts taking a bit longer and you can do ixali quests.
If you're super lazy like me just do the quests on a higher lvl craft class and turn it in as your low level class.

Shroud lighting will always be top tier because the darker shades of green and brown from the surrounding vegetation make your character stand out a little more. The dappled shadows are also a nice effect if you're able to position yourself right. Moonlight is a bit trickier to wrestle with tho, so you gotta place the gpose lighting a ways away to give the softest yellow tint in order to balance it out or else you'll probably look washed-out.
