The only thing priest and cleric really have until C4-C5 is their auto attack. They have the best auto attacks in the game, but it falls off when compared to spells

When you actually manage to OoB they can be pretty fun, but the real deal starts once you get possession.
Like people stated before, it gets cancelled if you get hit, but once it lands it's amazing. Hits a ton of times, stuns enemies (back there they would still be able to attack you, which could break the channel). Overall a great skill.

I'm loving it because I can solo very well (90 dungeon is balls easy with one) and parties still love me because Cleric skills.

Of course, since the hidden buff got deleted, my OoB autos aren't comparable to an Archer's, but they still hit quite well.

They're a pretty tough class to use well, but still tons of fun. I love them!

All skills are great to use while OoB. If you're fighting normal mobs, you can just put Heal/Zaibas on the floor and let monsters run to you while you autoattack them with the spirit, but if it's for bossing it's better to just go point blank.

For the record, my rotation for bosses is Safety Zone - OoB - Divine Might - Cure - Zaibas - Zaibas - Heal - Heal - Possession.

Possession doesn't let you attack with the spirit while OoB'd by the way, but the damage is still outstanding to just not use it.

OoB is definitely worth maxing, not only because more range means you're safer during fights and you have more mobility with Prakiti, but also because if you don't level OoB that means you're kind of putting your points on Vashta.
And let's face it,Vashta is sadly one of the shittiest skills in the game.

Almost any other class at the level you can use Arde at walks all over your DPS output. You're comparing Arde-level Priest to sub-100 classes.

Again, best auto attack in the game, but a single Pyro or Quarrel will just nuke everything and leave you standing around in the dust with their superior skills. So good luck finding a place where everyone will leave you alone.

I say 'good luck' because it's clear you've never leveled one past that point.

Possession is the biggest reason why I went Sadhu 2, and it's the best skill of the class imo. OoB is great for DPS while your cooldowns are on, but Poss is just, wow.

It deals a total of ~30 hits, lasts 10 seconds, stuns enemies that are inside and hurts a lot. If I get safe and cast possession on a dungeon, no common monster can survive it for the full duration, not even the tanky elite ones.

It's really great. The only downside is, of course, anything that hits you will cancel it. But to be quite frank that's an okay tradeoff for a skill with insane damage, amazing cc, super low manacost and 20 second cooldown.

Sadhu 1 is alright, but it does feel lackluster on its own. The autoattacks do okay damage but I think you'd find more damage if you went priest. Explosion damage is alright but unless you invest a bit on it, it will eventually stop instakilling mobs.

Currently I use it mostly for the knockback it gives.

Restoration, Zalciai, Aukuras, Cure, all of these skills used to increase OoB damage. It was the "Sadhu hidden buff" as people called, and it made Sadhus deal almost four times as much damage with their OoB autos. Sadly, this was patched on release and it doesn't work anymore.

Yeap Anon, I'm answering questions for people because it seems there's plenty of things everyone wants to know about 'em.

Overall they're a satisfying class! They've a slightly higher skill ceiling than your average cleric class, but their damage is consistant and can be reliable if you know how to position/protect yourself.

I'm happy I've chosen that as a main. I really like INT clerics, but Sadly the other options weren't much appealing to me (Bokors feel a bit messy with zombies and mana management, Krivis relies on Zaibas cooldowns, Diev statues hurt a lot but have high CD as well).

yeah I'm interested in Sadhu because I'm playing a pally right now, but i realized I end up being shoehorned into the healer role all the time, and going into melee to whack the bosses just gets me killed, and standing back and just dropping heal tiles every 20 or so seconds feels lazy.

So I was thinking cleric3+sadhu would be nice so I can still hit the boss while not being on his face all the time risking myself, but the thing is I've come to love the restoration buff so much, it boosts your heals by quite a lot, but I'm not sure if 1 rank in sadhu would be enough, since 6/7 would be druid for sure.

Surviving boss battles relies more on dodging rather than just whacking them. Even as a Sadhu you gotta know when to dodge, and use prakriti at the right time.

Also Pallies are more of a STR class, and Sadhus are a magic class. I think that you've gone a bit too far with your build, but don't give up on your guy just because you die! Put in some CON and it may make things smoother.

Most of the Sadhu spells don't use much mana, other than Vashta and nobody should use that anyway.

I only buy SP potions and my mana only runs out when I'm spamming heals on every cooldown, in dungeons. Gearwise, it's a matter of preference. Some people go plate, some others go leather for higher evasion.

I went leather but I've yet to invest big money on equips. I'm still wearing a mix of lv. 40, 70 and 120 gear and doing just fine. No huge need for buying big items now, or even socketing my equipment. I'd rather save for when that's needed.

Tough call, linker even after the nerfs makes dungeons super easy and their abilities literally never ever get outdated. But I'm always uncomfortable with picking up lower rank classes at higher brackets, so I'd go with thauma personally. Unless you have an organized party that can exploit the shit out of spiritual link.

Just get the wiz 3 to rank upgrade and see how you feel about the character, and ask yourself if you want to hit harder or have easier mobbing. Quickcast+thauma buffs+necro cannon thing is really good for pvp, but in pve remember your shit is taking even more buff slots and they might be needed for cleric shit.

Ever since Sadhu lost meme status people have been talking shit and I can't get any reliable information on it. I'm trying to theorycraft a Monk build before jumping into Cleric, but it's so lacking in utility that I'm looking at other builds and Sadhu was a mystery to me on that front.

I'm not sure if you can use Double Punch while OoB, but that's just because I'm not a monk. I presume you can, so admittedly the idea of spirit-double-teaming on a monster sounds quite funny.
