WHO IS THE BEST BOT AND WHY IS IT BEEPSKY?
GUARDBUDDYS CAN FUCK OFF BACK TO GOON
You haven't lived until you've seen beepsky take down every op by himself.

It's god damn beautiful.

Why the fuck fucking fuck do you have ling on when you can't even do basic self defense shit like stun gloves or greytide/sec shit like pulling a cuffed guy and removing jumpsuits and radios?
If they can't use :g to keep the hivemind on top of who they are then tough titties
I remember a few years ago when plasma fires and singloose sucking out oxygen would slow the server to a crawl. Was it the feature freeze that helped people fix that? How did we get past that severe lag?
>Just got deadminned
>Now shit as a borg
I'm the guy he killed, I was a ling, and people in deadchat say it was justified but I still think it wasn't fully conclusive for an ASIMOV borg to beat me to death and furnace me, I repeatedly asked for it to fetch a non-silicon but I guess the potential ham was too high
How do you convert someone to cult or absorb someone with a camera in the room. I get too scared to do anything thats not in maint
>inb4 antag shakes
People still get the shakes right?
There should be a public server dedicated to 24/7 nations and zero admin interaction.
You don't know how easy it is to disable a camera?
ALL YOU NEED IS A SCREWDRIVER AND A MULTI-TOOL.
PULSE EVERY SINGLE WIRE UNTIL IT TURNS OFF. REMEMBER THE WIRE THAT TURNS IT OFF
THIS DOES NOT GIVE OFF AN ALARM AND LASTS INDEFINITELY.
Even if you pulse the alarm wire.
Enjoy your murder/indoctrination.
Some guy was being a griefing retard in a blob round. greytiding, attacking people and shit. He got catbeasted for being a shit then cried in thread that whoah slow down buster you gotta tell me I'm being a gigantic faggot first. As usual, the thread got revved up as the permabanned hippistation players latched onto it to funpost
Remove the camera in viro some time and count the seconds until a ball of sec and borgs come and turn your ass inside out. There is nothing that triggers them more than a blind spot where there shouldn't be
Probably because people feel the pressure to try and be a threat to the crew as well as the unlimited valids they can do. Since most of my more nefarious schemes never seem to get me adminpmd I just continue with what I'm doing when I'm antag and maybe try to do my objective.
I ain't gonna spoil how you get it, but it's usually a "get whatever you want free" token, depending on which admins are on.
Many people don't know you can decon it for mad tech.
Deadpoo you do that shit all the time. I bitched about it not because of that one incident but because EVERY TIME someone does something that might be suspect CATBEAST "HURR GET UR VALIDS XD" No one gave a shit about that guy we were all pissed about the multiple times you catbeast people without even hearing why they are doing something.
The problem is everyone doing anything is shit enough to be catbeasted with you. We discussed this the day that shitter posted, no matter what the fucking problem you just beast them.
>play mostly deadpop like deadpool
>but desdpool is gone from admins
>tfw all the admins: 0 at the times I play now
The threats to no admin lowpop: people breaking the rules through unchecked metagaming, ERP, and non antag powergaming all access grayshits with the armory in their backpack and an atmos suit plasmaflooding, murderboning, and spawncamping arrivals for hours during Extended, are real.
I kind of want to step up to the Admin plate. You know, seeing all the new Admins lately.
Deadpop is either ideal comfy time where you have all the time in the world to shoot the shit with the crew and work on your autism projects, or the embodiment of despair and hell incarnate because ADMINS ARE ASLEEP, TIME TO GRIFF AND YIFF.
I just want to be there to help during those dark times,
but I'm afraid of tardwrangling making me become a tired jaded spessman that hates the players and game equally.
oh no, i was still goofin around with detroit after punching Alice Conrad in the chest for trying to brig me for 20 minutes because I pulled Detroit from her.
I just went through the morgue and somehow assumed a new identity despite being the only grey player on the server at the time.
I was at the Bar for a quarter of the shift after a min finally got rid of my permanent mindbreaker and Rin had teleported me out of a rwall coffin another min put around me in the asteroid.
You never showed up there and I thought that was your sacred spot.
You were greytiding all round and then getting butthurt because I was trying to stop you and the captain from smashing up the AI's upload like a pair of retards because you were non-humans trying to give orders to an Asimov AI.
>Try and do a gimmick where I pretend to be a shit Asimov AI
>RD spaces me for telling her that bombs are human harm

>this argument again
Yes it allows silly-cons to mass murder everyone.
Yes respect isnt measurable but somehow has to be and thus disrespect is a thing ect ect.
My biggest issue is that it gives borgs free will to make their own judgements. Literally 99% of silly-cons just wait until malf because they are unbelievable shitters who need rules to weigh them down.
TL:DR Lawset sucks and borgs get free will and the ability to mass murder.
This is what we have so for.

Fun Bus Celt. SawBones, Joey, and Rusty also did an amazing job at making the revolution an actual thing.
God save our gracious Queen!
Long live our noble Queen!
God save the Queen!
Send her victorious,
Happy and glorious,
Long to reign over us:
God save the Queen!
O Lord our God arise,
Scatter her enemies,
And make them fall:
Confound their politics,
Frustrate their popish tricks,
On Thee our hopes we fix:
God save us all.
Thy choicest gifts in store,
On her be pleased to pour;
Long may she reign:
May she defend our laws,
And ever give us cause,
To sing with heart and voice,
God save the Queen!
You know what's funny?
It wasn't even Celt who caused the bus
DrunkGamer99 or whatever his name is (Ivan something in-game) decided to barricade the bar against the Brits to meme on Celt so Celt rolled with it and made the bus
I assume, at least
>Be Assitant Ivan
>Decide to make fun of Celt by turning the bar into a "NO BRITS ALLOWED" zone, shouting gibberish about the IRA, Britain and the Potato Famine
>Adminbus sends the fucking brit ambassador here
>He comes to the bar
>Do what Celt would have done
>"BRITS DID POTATO FAMINE"
>Run and stab him in the face repeatedly with a broken bottle
>Get robusted by the crew, I'm the first one to start the revolution
>I manage to get rid of the Bartender's shotgun before dying horribly
>Die and vampire makes sure no one finds my body
>Somehow my body is found
>Decide to stay behind and keep the crew safe from the brits
>Fuggen Vamp out of nowhere and kills me
Good round, I started that adminbus.

It's really funny how they constantly abuse borgs, and then cry up a storm whenever the borgs fight back occasionally.
Can you find a bigger baby than the people who complain about borgs in thread? I don't think so.
The only competitor is clowns and antags who complain about validhunting sec officers.
>be salty about being called out
>they don't get banned because admins absolutely dread dealing with the mess that are silicons
>salt levels intensify
Silishitters, ladies and gentlemen.
It's true though, if you ever ask an admin what they think about silicons they'll start crying because it's a fucking mess dealing with them, even going so far as to suggest there be a specific admin to deal with them.
I don't care for their constant need to validhunt, bend laws, and of course rush for the standard plasmaflood when their laws don't outright deny it, but sure there's absolutely no reasoning behind it.
BIGGEST BABIES COMPETITION:
Antags crying validhunting sec officers
Shitters complaining that borgs are following their laws
Shitters complaining about medical bay without any knowledge of medical stuff
and, a special contestant thanks to this poster, shitters who ignore that admins constantly ban silicons who do shit wrong just because they're so salty.
>the mess that are silicons
silicon laws are easy. if you're shit at understanding silicon laws it's no wonder you're crying LAW 2 LAW 2 BLOW THE BORGS every round. fuck you.
Tell me the last time admins did anything about silicons?
What about a few rounds ago where their validhunting was so rampant it caused people to get mad, simply because they wouldn't wait to confirm a ling and jumped the gun?
They did something about that right? Oh, no, they didn't.
The real question is why people are such shits to silicons and then don't expect them to respond in kind when they are able.
Haven't you people ever heard of proper escalation?
Non-humans never have this problem. Are vox shitters seriously better players than human players?
Go trawl the ban history. There's several for not following the laws on the list RIGHT NOW.
Stop metagrudging silicons just because you are pissed they are following their laws.
>be a shit to your slaves
>they are a shit back
It's like you've never heard of treating your tools well, or slavery systems that weren't based entirely around treating the slaves like shit.
Which, logically, means you neither work in manual labor or are very educated historically.
Those are all permanent jobbans for when you completely fuck up miserably
But oh there's one recent ban and what is it?
Logging out roundstart, well done, that's really important to the others being terrible.
Looks like the silicons have been following their laws recently.
It's a shame you can't get silicons banned for following their laws just because you're salty as hell and willing to metagrudge silicons, huh?
Considering this is WHAT YOU CHOSE TO DO it's a bit silly.
Unless we're talking the random debrained prisoner, you signed up to be treated terribly, just like sec signed up to be a tardwrangler, don't complain.
You SIGNED UP to be on a space station with silicons, anon.
Unless you were somehow forced to be on a silicon server, you are completely free to play on ones without them.
Don't complain about things you sign up for, you hypocrite.
Random name, race, gender, and appearance when?
I want my grimdark cyberpunk Shadowrun fantasy of self-hating second-class aliens living the struggle in maint ghettos and dark skinned men and women with neon green/pink/blue mohawks running around the station working to serve or destroy the powerful, totalitarian, and shady NanoTrasen™ Corporation™.
A station where you can't trust anyone. Not even yourself.
I'm ignoring it because they most likely had good reasons you were not privy to.
And, even if you were privy to them, you wouldn't repost them here because you are so assblasted at silicons.
Can you really blame me for trusting admin judgement over some obviously salty anon who is complaining anonymously?
There's a difference here.
You're treating it as though I chose to be with them specifically, which isn't always the case, it's a factor out of my hands.
You choosing to play a slave, ISN'T out of your hands, and being treated terribly is part of it.
>being treated terribly is part of it
Wowee anon, way to prove you're not very educated historically.
Many borgs sign up as borg to help. Many hardly do SHIT during the "kill everyone" times because of this. You just don't notice them because you've got acres of salt in your eyes blocking your vision.
Just like you sign up with the server you like and deal with unfortunate consequences, so too does the borg sign up for the job they like and deal with unfortunate consequences.
Stop being a hypocrite and complaining about things you signed up for.
Good reasons I wasn't privy to.
Right, killing a changeling with no evidence is a good reason, which, they even screamed at each other after they did it, I see I was completely wrong.
I'm sure this is a 100% true retelling and there is no alteration to the story to make yourself look better, anonymous guy on the internet.
Or, it could be you are really, really salty.
Yep, that's part of my spaceman videogames, accurate interpretations of proper slavery.
Unfortunate consequences may or may not happen, being treated terribly is part of the role, an integral part.
In the same way me being an engineer and screamed at .5 seconds into the round when there's no power, it's integral.
is it weird that i'm both? i genuinely help everyone as best as i can while following my laws to the letter, and then coldly kill every valid i meet when i get the obligatory HUMANS ARE NAKED KILL ALL NONHUMANS law
It really sucks when we have to kill people, and I'd rather not have to do it.
I wish you crewmen could EVER run a single round without forcing the borgs to kill somebody for some reason.
Sure, just look at the logs for *Mute and Orange or something as AI.
I'm sure you won't because I'm MOST DEFINITELY WRONG.
>telling someone to scan the logs to find someone NOT breaking the rules
Anon, if you were actually right, YOU would scan the logs and get a ban made. There is literally no motivation on my side to do this for you.
The only reason you haven't done this already is because A. you are lying or B. you are too lazy to do anything for yourself.
Which is it?
Not really, no.
The only time I am ever happy about killing anyone is when I kill a murderboner who my laws strictly require me to.
Because, I think we can all agree, murderboners are a problem to everyone.
I was wasn't involved in the incident itself, I saw them arguing, I know what they did was terrible but why would I ban request it?
I have zero involvement in it, it would be like ban requesting a griff someone did a day ago to someone who wasn't me.
Celt told me to shill it, so here it is.

You made no points that weren't refuted in previous posts. You just whined more about your own choice in servers.
BOO HOO, I AM BEING FORCED TO PLAY ON A SERVER THAT HAS RULINGS I DON'T LIKE. IT'S ALL THE SILICON'S FAULT!
Hey, if you were anywhere as outraged about silicons being awful as you sound, you would be looking for ways to get ones that don't follow their laws banned.
If you don't care enough to get people who break rules and make you angry banned, then why should anyone else?
Now you've apparently turned it around from
>silicons are treated terribly, they should be used to it
>you can't handle silicons, get off the server
There's no real reason to argue if you're just going to push the thing away from the main idea.
deadpoop got deadmined because he catbeasted and then braindamaged people 2 rounds in a row without so much as a bwoink for the wrong reasons
first was because someone said "is ai malf" to a blown borg mmi, I shit you not that was the reason
second was some guy getting guns from armory to fight a blob even though warden refused to give out guns
Hey, I'm just working with the arguments you presented here.
You said people shouldn't complain about the things they chose. Then you complained about the thing you chose.
If you wanted to talk about silicons being treated terribly and responding in kind, you would already have acknowledged that slave uprisings are a very real thing. Usually happen when slaves are treated like shit.
I wish we'd just remove the role entirely.
I would definitely ban request it if I was involved, but I can't personally comment on the situation, admins wouldn't look into something I wasn't actively participating in, and I wouldn't blame them for it.
Let's come to a compromise.
We can remove silicons entirely if we remove humans entirely.
Humans are always shitters, after all. I say this with exactly the same amount of refuse-to-dig-up-any-laws-or-get-shitters-banned conviction you have.
And if the logs are damning, the admins would step in. You just refuse to look through them.
One of the borgs here.
I'm still pretty mad at that I ke0t getting cries of HALP LING and then either I got yelled at for HEY YOU LET THAT C O N F I R M E D LING GET AWAY or FUCKING VALIDHUNTING BORG HOW DID YOU KNOW I WAS LING
Silicons: Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
You chose to play a server that has numerous silicons who are forced to follow their laws.
Then you complained about your choice.
You chose to treat silicons poorly.
Then you complained about your choice.
It seems you are complaining about literally every choice you make that doesn't turn out well.
Silicons, on the other hand, chose to be slaves. When shit goes wrong, they sometimes run slave uprisings, as is expected of slaves.
>tfw treating borgs like groveling house servants
>tfw I'm usually off doing my thing in the asteroid before the sillycons can exact their revenge during a terminator holocaust
Yeah. That's why they get so many complaints.
If you save the humans, the ling complains. If you don't save the humans, the humans complain. Either way, they both say you broke your laws for following your laws.
People who complain about silicons should be forced to play it for a month.
I choose to play on a server, silicons might be there.
Silicons choose to be treated poorly via their laws, it's always there.
Something they should be long used to, but they still complain about being treated in such a way. If you don't like the role, don't play it.
So basically what you're telling me is that silicons play for the slave uprisings, cool.
You should long be used to silicon uprisings if you chose to play on a silicon server.
You still complain about being treated in such a way.
If you don't like it, don't play it.
>So basically what you're telling me is that silicons play for the slave uprisings, cool.
Way to ignore the argument entirely instead of refuting it. The exact thing you were complaining about earlier!
You're a triple hypocrite!
See, you're treating silicons as an absolute still.
There MAY be silicons, not always, but sometimes.
Silicons being treated poorly is an absolute. You could say the same about playing on the server is there were ALWAYS silicons, but there aren't.
I refuted the point before, but still you insist that this is a "silicon server" even though they're not always there.
>silicons being treated poorly is an absolute
It is exactly as much of an absolute as silicons themselves are.
Believe it or not, there are some people who are less shits to silicons than you are.
So, if you refuted it being a silicon server, you also refuted your own point. Pick your poison.
>dying as a miner
How unrobust can you possibly be? It's the best job on the station. Everyone sucks your dick for loot, you have a shitton of tools, you get a massive amount of money, and
you can give gifts to your waifus
>silicons SO SHIT they think the 'roid is dangerous
I treat silicons like every other player because I know that on the other side is an egoistical human wanting praise and respect, few well chosen words go a long way. I also explode them the moment it's valid for me to do so.
Don't ask me. They're just always dead somehow.
Whenever I care to visit the asteroid, there's always at least one dead miner/xenoarch.
Look, anon. You can't blame me for noticing you miners keep dying somehow.
No I've been having fun just arguing and playing a game in the background, I guess you're done arguing now.
Space is pretty boring to me lately and I wanted something to spark my interest in it, maybe I'll play it in a few days. I'm glad you kept a cool head mostly throughout though.
Can you please find out why those miners keep dying for me?
You die last/first.
Depending on if I know you're the kind of guy who blows borgs instead of locking them and screwing the console.
If you are confused about whether you should respond to the guy who calls you a cunt, or the guy who talks about arguments and refutations, it's usually the guy trying to actually talk to you.
This little 4chan tip can help you in numerous scenarios and boards!
>be a miner
>give my husbando a some nice toys
>give him the d
>he doesn't want it
>turns me down
>tfw see your name popping up in threads more often
What the fuck
I did actually step down.
Both because I was tired of adminning and was enjoying playing more, and because of Catbeastgate.
I don't really regret it, either, just that all I want is a nice Extended round as a silicon or something so I can chill out.
>Declared the borgs rogue and ordered them to be blown because a corgi wearing a cardboard borg costume did not give him all access. The real silicons followed his order and blew themselves. Honk softer and remember that your orders have consequences. probe1 2015-08-17 12:03:53

Sooo, by that ruling its within reason that if Borgs were ordered to blow themselves they would have to follow the order unless commanded otherwise?
No, they were just being dumb.
General consensus amongst admins is that you don't have to follow any orders that would directly kill you, like suicide or aformentioned explosive.
Yes, but it's still a shitting thing to do
I didn't even ask the borgs to blow themselves, I was just screaming "BORGS ROGUE BLOW THEM IT WONT GIVE ME ALL ACCESS". Cy even showed up and called me a retard.
>reading this thread
>SILICON COMPLAINTS AGAIN
I don't get it. All I ever do as silicon is newscast and sometimes crush a murderboning changeling.
What do I have to do to change opinions around here?
reminder that cyrr literally walked out of an airlock and went all the way around the station just to sit in space outside of virology, listening for ling sounds, even when there was no potential for human harm and being law2'd to fuck off
I'm more confused why the clown was punished for a standard clown thing being obnoxious over comms. If the crew or especially the AI blew the borgs going off the garbled rambling of a clown I think their credibility should be questioned.
Because its technically valid to tell a Borg to self terminate laws wise but its also suppose to be why Asimov is flawed and suppose to be a defied lawset.
The clown was punished because they did something bannable.
Clowns are not immune to server rules.
Ordering silicons to kill themselves period, whether they do it or not, is a dingdongbannu unless you are antag. Just like ordering them to kill anyone else.
Obviously people complain about shit silicons, but use the blanket term "silicons" in general.
Much like the general consensus is that geneticists are shitters, but you can still be a good geneticist anyways.
I was honestly more curious about the rulings on that since its never been something I've even considered.
On the same topic it wouldn't be ban able if an antag commanded it or is this purely a rule 0 kind of thing of general sportsmanship?
>go shaft miner
>come back to turn materials in
>grab Assistant's PDA
>use it to tell AI to kill all nonhumans
>but only once I get back on the roid
>space it after
Is this a reliable strategy?
They should either change ASIMOV or follow the law correctly. For example if a human orders a borg to blow itself then the borg must fulfill this request.
If a human asks a borg to stand in front of the human for a few minutes so the human can destroy it with a toolbox, the borg should listen to the human and obey his orders.
Suicide is human harm (I know, I don't like it either).
Rage cages are human harm.
If you feel the need to make one of these an exception, you should add it to the lawset of the silicons.
>Two conflicting orders cancel each other out
Let me tell you why that's bullshit
Imagine a person, Human A, asks for a door to be opened. Human B tells to AI to not open the door. Silicon rules say you should do nothing and walk away, but by doing so the AI leaves the door closed, resulting in person B getting what they wanted. Very silly solution.
Apply it to a asimov borg witnessing an execution. The man sat in the electric chair yells for the borg to free him, but the sec officer says to leave him there. Removing him from the chair on the grounds of potential harm is a dingdong bannu. Silicon rules say he should do nothing, which results in the man staying in the chair and being killed.
Yes, I know, Asimov is intentionall flawed. It's flawed in a way that creates fun stuff in certain situations, mostly in terms of interpritations, but the "just leave it rule" makes one person get what they want most of the time.
This post was brought to you by the WeinerMaster69 For Trailmin Commitee.
You can kill MoMMIs as antag
Suicide is considered a right, because in a bunch of servers in the history of forever, people would order AIs to do things on the threat of suicide so admins generally make that a rule.
Just say you will kill the entire station rather than yourself, it's the same thing.
>Asimov sucks and requires an infinity of house rules to work on a server
NO DUH YOU GODDAMN IDIOT THAT HAS ALWAYS BEEN THE PROBLEM HOLY SHIT
It would be much better if we had a lawset designed to work, instead of one designed specifically to cause problems you can write books about.
>Let me tell you why that's bullshit
Let me tell you why it's followed anyway: Because it's one of the infinite house rules we have made to asimov on the server that you can get banned for not following.
The rest of your argument is moot, as silicons are required to do what admins say.
This guy gets it, as a quote from a song "If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice" that is why silicons must always follow the most recent orders, and I have had admins correct borgs who have ignored the most recent order and they apologize to me in LOOC.
>this guy gets it
Except if you follow his advise as a silicon, that's a ding dong bannu.
So, you know, he doesn't get it.
And I've had admins warn me for following most recent order instead of going with law conflict.
Then we should change it, to a system that resolves the conflict.
Making it so that the last order counted would just result in Law 2 Tennis.
Perhaps a conflict resolution button on the AI HUD? Although an AI could lie and pick which ever order they like more. It would have to be a broadcasted thing.
I'm not suggesting silicons ignore the rules, I'm suggesting we change them.
There's NOTHING in the rules about conflicting orders.
A borg was ignoring law 2, being questioned on it, he said he got two conflicting orders and was allowed to choose which one he wanted to follow.
I ahelped and it was deeemed valid.
Basically just do what the fuck ever you want because the admins will avoid having to deal with you by any means possible.
Ignore both parties, do what you were doing previously until another order comes along.
This may cause one or the other to have their order fulfilled, but that has no actual relation to whether you are doing the order or what you were doing previously.
If you think this is bullshit, it is because it is bullshit, but silicons have to live with it anyway.
Congrats, you've suggested the thing everyone has always suggested.
It would SURE BE FUCKING GRAND if rules involving conflict resolution and human definition were included in the laws.
Too bad that will never fucking happen unless you code it.
Come on Anon. You aren't naive enough to consider the general consensus is the ultimate ruling, are you?
If that were the case, greytiding wouldn't exist.
No, it's all about what you can GET AWAY with.
The borgs are required to Ahelp this order and then disregard it as per law 1's inaction clauses.
>adding even more red text instead of solving the actual problem, that asimov is a bad lawset
You'll never make any progress that way.
>just update the wiki, or add it to the wall of red text you get spawning as a silicon
not even that guy but sure
let's do that already
let's actually get an admin or anyone with authority to go ahead and fucking do it already
>The borgs are required to Ahelp this order and then disregard it as per law 1's inaction clauses.
As people constantly say, there is no possible harm. So unless harm is happening, you can't pull law #1 on it.
>They wouldn't in an asimov novel
At least 70% of Silicon complaints are based around specifically Secborgs, and removing Secborgs would immediately rectify the situation.
Prove me wrong.
As per the wiki and server rules, the borgs and silicons are required to ignore orders that remove them from the round as per their inaction clause.
Don't like it? Too bad, them's the rules. What you are doing is asking silicons to break the rules.
>They wouldn't in an asimov novel
Confirmed for pleb who has never read asimov.
Go educate yourself. Seriously. Do it now. It's way more interesting than playing ss13.
Your only excuse would be if you have already read asimov, which you have not.
Look, if everyone on the thread is going to complain EVERY DAY about borgs following asimov correctly, maybe we should change it.
Some of the stories deal with expensive robots having the third law having more of a strong priority
So an order like that from a low class peon wouldn't likely work without a good reason, compared to someone like the captain telling them to go play in space
I hate borgs because MUH LAW 2 RELEASE ME.
Probable harm is a thing defined in the rules. Most silly-cons dont read the rules and thus dont know that if there is a criminal law 2 does not apply to him. Plus I think sec borgs should follow space law along with the rest of sec.
Even if I sprited it, what use would it have? Many items are locked away under "admin spawn only"
>Most silly-cons dont read the rules and thus dont know that if there is a criminal law 2 does not apply to him.
A criminal that they have evidence is a ~human harmer~
>Plus I think sec borgs should follow space law along with the rest of sec.
When you Robocop it.
Interestingly if they are purged the reverse is true, they are held to no rules whatsoever, it's quite interesting.
I certainly hope you mean a murderer when you are referring to a criminal.
>it's quite interesting.
As a silicon, I say it's bullshit.
How rules apply sometimes and don't others, and how they vary from admin to admin, is the worst part of being a silicon.
Illegal weapons module is something you can print in robotics if you decon two teslas for Illegal 3. Pops out that secborg laser for spiders or the engborg shockarm without altering the borg's laws.
I'm just saying, I think that it is bullshit as well. That is why I want someone to CHANGE the lawset to one that can't be easily abused.
Spessman is too addictive.
Yeah but the ASIMOV lawset doesn't reflect any of that. There is no command structure in ASIMOV and all laws have a priority, the lower the number is the higher the priority.
As someone who solely play silicon simply because it's one of the few games that allows one to actually play something resembling a robot, I usually refer to my laws first and foremost.
A majority of the time laws take priority, so I'll just refer the admins to any of my laws and they'll usually back down.
>it's time for "The Code Hunt: Part 3: With a Vengeance: Special DVD and Blu-Ray Box Station Edition"
>die on the fourth turret

Even in the most insulting possible interperetation of what they said, you are still a shit for calling that validhunting.

>Be Changing Scientist
>Play t he part for a bit, make myself a Laser Rifle to "help" people on the derelect
>Get smacked in the cock by a Goliath but survive
>Notice their are numerous dead bodies
>Go back to station to eat with the rest of the survivors
>Fill up, float back over
>Find one engineer "burying" them out the mass launcher
>Think I am gonna be slick
>Get gun out
>Begin to bash him
>Laser rifle somehow lost all its charge
>Kill myself out of shame
I like how a clown is allowed to preform surgery, set engines up and do astrophysics but a silicon isn't allowed to discern intent and has to assist in their own subversion because "but how would they even KNOW"
Because artificial intelligence isn't supposed to be like human thought. Knowing knowledge and knowing peoples motives are two different things, smart people get used all the time. Your argument is the dumbest shit I've ever read.
>about MoMMI, or silicons in general
HA. HA. HA. OH WOW.
Most borgs and ai have human brains that function normally outside of their bodies. I also remember asking how that plays out and you can basically play as said brains character but stuck under laws.
And posibrains are basically tech soul catchers
There are currently 4 worthwhile chemicals that can't be made at a chemdispenser in 7 clicks or less.
- Cyanide: Completely replaceable by chloral+mutagen, which has essentially the same effects
- Corn Oil: Not a huge loss, given that waterpos works fine.
- Peridaxon: Legitimately useful for Medbay, essentially non-obtainable, happens once in a blue moon. Borers can dispense it now.
- Rezadone: Easier than ever to get, don't even need to leave Medbay anymore and can get it all by yourself.
Doesn't anyone think this is pathetic? I think there should be more hard to get chemicals. Something to incite departmental collaboration. Give chemists something to DO.
Carpotoxin being only found in space carp was pretty much the only thing that accomplished this, then half a dozen extra ways to get it were added.
It's much harder to randoms to powergame through it once they know people are getting pricked. Can't just carry coffee and down 3 or four oxykits of dexalin every 10 minutes like you would with deathstingers or chloral. That people like you don't know this is part of my beef
See no this is bullshit RP posturing for the benefit of scrubs. Nobody fucking cares about the intricacies and lore of borg production, they just know that pressing F1 and saying "he dindu muh lawtwo" will get the damn thing to do anything short of killing everybody in the room.
/vg/ seems really fucking lax on metaknowledge except for this one instance and it seems a little suspicious to me. Are you people really that incapable of breaking into tech storage or doing RnD or what
when you've got a dispenser that can mix basically any chemical in liquid form at room temperature, attempting to add "rare" chemicals is pointless when honestly, we could just have a machine that slams subatomic particles together and changes one element into another, a la alchemy.
Being good at chem is about understanding medical functions enough to make super pills, not playing treasure hunter like xenoarch does.
Coffee doesn't work against chloral, only latte does, and NOBODY, LITERALLY NOBODY powergames latte for this purpose. Let's not kid ourselves. Besides, mutagen still fucks people up hard and they can't do shit about that.
It's not the best but you don't have to bother with getting milk. It keeps you up enough to use a flashbang or otherwise stun them and call for help.

Like the only good thing he made aside from the portal update.
I love hearing him try to say that cult revamp wasn't the only major thing he's done, while the only noteworthy thing other than that is a terrible bomberman that happens once in a blue moon.
but useless dumb bullshit that looks good
Even back in the day you went down for a short nap before the coffee got off its ass and recovered you. you'd keep passing out for like 2 seconds every 10 after but it was enough to put a gimp in petnavi's walk until the chloral ran its course
Are you talking about the end of the Foundation novels, where it's revealed that
Robots advanced in intelligence to the point that they started basing everything off of the first law as they understood what would and would not harm humanity, eventually moving humanity to an universe with no aliens somehow and disappearing?I haven't fully read the foundation series since I was a kid because it wasn't as good as his other works, so I actually forgot about that. Technically thats not how they would have worked in an Asimov novel, as they were only doing that during the span they weren't written about. If you look at I, Robot or the Robot detective series, which is the era we base our silicons off of, you'll find that they would behave the way that that anon described. Moreover, we specifically have the probable hard rule on this server, which means that the borgs would have to space themselves, and the assistant would be getting some bwoinks and batons coming his way.
I don't think that's ever been a thing, based on the sole fact that chloral modifies the "sleeping" var and coffee doesn't, and I don't think that's been changed anytime in the last few months.
Are you sure you're thinking of /vg/?
Just so everyone knows Celt told me him and Niggly were talking and they both agreed with me that NT default is better than asimov.
So at least that's some good news.
Fuck you Serwind you lying Canadian cunt, NT default is LITERALLY the WORST LAWSET FUCK YOU.
I've accepted cathartic Cathar news.

>WORKS BETTER FOR THE STATION
What kind of waccy tobaccy were you smoking when you typed this shit?
Just bants lads, calm down.
He can't function without two blood soaked stun batons jammed up his ass and shocking his prostate into a perma'rection
Fuck you, not-asimov is a serious matter and fuck people that subvert the ai.
You need to learn: As an admin, everything you do will cause a shitstorm.
Blowing the borgs requiring at command level ID cards when?
Locking them down can be left open, but any random idiot shouldn't be able to just blow up all the borgs because the urge hits them.
