>Tips for new players
You can change vocations at level 10 at the Gran Soren inn or BBI.
Character appearance can be changed later on.
You don't need pawns, but they help.

after buying the items from Reynad for the trial is there a point in keeping him around? should i finish up his Search Party quest without missing anything. I checked out his inventory and it seems meh.
>Have literally killed this Wyrm in Chamber of Distress over 20 times and not one of my 5 Two Star enhanced items have been Dragonforged.
No one told me this game was more of an RNG shitfest than Monster Hunter
>literally 1 digit for non 3 stars forged equipment
>18% for three stars
>farming drakes for forge instead of ur dragon or BBI
you deserves it
Wait till you try Stone Jungle or Forest. All MKs should use Jungle/Forest as part of their sword skills, man.
you'll get multiple dragonforces every cursed dragon kill and you can spawn 2-3 by dropping a rancid bait meat in the moonbeam gem area and rezoning every time you kill it
i honestly find them easier then standard dragonkin too
>blurred goblin literally looks like a sprite
And speaking of, is it possible to go melee MK only?
I find Sorcerer really dull with the long cast times. I don't mind Warrior really.
As far as my shield spells go, I'm leaning towards using Blessed Trance, Holy Fortress, and Abyssal Anguish.
Don't really care too much for Grand Cannon. I like Burst Strike and Full Moon Slash, and I'm thinking about getting either Vortex Sigil or Stone Forest depending (or are they very dependent on Magic?)
>That last second
Looking for a 4th to go through BBI 2.0. Preferably a ranged vocation, but it doesn't really matter in the long run.
I'm still searching for the ring, too. It's been a real bitch to find.
How long does it usually take to beat BBI? Is 90 a good level to try and face it?
Yes, it is advised to get physical damage for MK. But it would be better to do so as a Warrior or a Fighter instead since they give decent physical stat growth but much better health.
>Is it possible to go melee only MK?
Absolutely, but I would recommend going for a balanced build so that your buffs will actually be good for something.
Now to go through NG+ playing the same class as my pawn for educational reasons.
>go to replace pawn mage cause she doesnt do shit
>summon 5 different mage pawns with good skills
>1 male 4 female
>all females were lolis
i swear to god, im going to have to hire one of these fuckers BECAUSE THEY'RE ALL FUCKING LOLIS, and when i do, its getting 1* across the board and given a rotten egg when its done
How do I transfer my save from the pirated copy to my legit copy? I preordered the game but got the pirated copy and have like 30 hours played on it. I found the ddda.sav file in the Steam/CODEX folder but now I have no idea where the fuck to put it, or if transferring that will transfer my pawn etc.
>be new to the game and make short char to offset my tall one because i heard you can send pawns in to the small places
>mfw pawn wont fucking go in to small place and stuck with loli instead of tall goddess
pretty frustrating senpai desu
I just cheesed Death as a level 60 with this tactic, it really isn't that hard. Even if you're not leveled for physical damage, a tonne of Conqueror's Periapts and Blast Arrows does all the work for you.
Does my pawn look like a vampire? I think it looks nice but Vampie wasnt my intention desu
>almost every NPC is the game has a escort quest
>guards and bandits included
Anyone have the asalam romance ms paint type comic?
I swear I've seen one couple years back.
I have Reynard in front of me, ready to complete the ''Search Party'' quest. I know he will dissappear forever after this, so I have some questions:
Does he sell something useful later in the game worth keeping him here?
Will doing this quest raise his affinity enough to make him my beloved? I want
Aelinoreas my beloved.
Dude someone gave my pawnfu straight 5s, gave her a cute outfit and left the "often an aid to the party" message. I felt like a damn proud parent
just disable vocation and skill restriction
Does it benefit me at all to neutralize inclinations I don't want my pawn to make use of? Even if I haven't made any efforts to raise them?
>gives the most random shit as rewards
He's the easiest dragon there is. But yeah his chances are abysmally low.
The low level dragons(wyrms, drakes and wyverns) have a 0%, 2%, 6% and 18% chance depending on the items stars.
Grigori and online ur dragon is 100% period
offline ur dragon is 0/2/10/30
Cursed is 40/55/65/75
elemental dragons are 5/15/25/40
fucking thanks m8, been looking for it everywhere.
bit dark but I threw my dwarf through this hole and he picked up the loot on the other side
>escort is a bandit and starts beating the shit out of it
80% of escorts just go to bloodwater beach
Fuck yes, thank you Olra!
>tfw blue is now better geared than I am
>release was one week ago
>still no guts armor
Post your swag, /ddg/. Arisen or Pawn, I care not which.
>please escort me through all of these bandits, wolves and ogres so I can stand by this waterfall for no particular reason
Haven't done much fashion yet on PC.
I thought it was hilarious trying to get down there legit with an escort quest running instead of just making it there solo and placing a crystal. It's almost impossible once they start firing explosives.
>tfw you can't cast stone forest/sigil as mystic warrior
Go to Jonathan at the encampment, he sells an item that lets you change the look of your pawn and arisen. Costs rift crystals though. One is a one time use, and the other is infinite.
The only real debate: stick with Sorc to nuke the Forgotten Hall, run past Death and have a long winded fight with Daimon or go to Ranger and run past Forgotten Hall, cheese Death and Daimon?
>tfw no bearsuit pawn
>feels good letting the royal slut get kill
i know what you were gonna do bitch
To whoever made this good looking character, forget the haters. You have one fan here. Got sliders for her? She looks like an asskicker.
>Escort Reynard to the Great Wall of China
>On cliff path toward cyclops
>By the end of the cyclops fight, all of my pawns were knocked off the cliff
>Where a chimera is roaming
>Big bandit camp still there
>Reynard at half health
give me a reason why i shouldn't throw him the fuck off the cliff and walk back to Gran Soren (Don't have any ferrystones/ eternal ferrystone)
So do people just not like Isidro, striders, or do they think I just rolled a shota or some shit? I know the hiring system is working for me because I've had him come back with stuff twice, but those were the only times he's been hired since. He's level 56 now in BBI, but he was 25-35 when the hiring system was fixed
So the efficacy of enchantment buffs are dependent on Mag? I mean it makes sense, but I guess I was under the impression that it just adding that descriptor holy/dark/fire/ice/lightning to your weapon, but if it increases the magnitude of those that's cool.
I'm ultimately looking to have a Sorcerer, Mage, and Ranger in my party
First time going through BBI and I can already say fuck this room. All the AI goes stupid in here, enemies and pawns.
played this since first release.
first char was MA, fun as fuark along with my Sorc pawn.
second char i made when i got Dark Arisen was MK and Sorc.
finally got around to downloading on PC and im doing a full Sorc party with a mage.
forgot just how much fun it is to fight your first run in with a chimera (besides the starting one)
>played Strider+Strider for until i got to Gran Soren
>switch both myself and my pawn to Sorc
>change pawns to Sorc and mage
>leave Gran Soren sometime during night and make my way to the abbey
>get sidetracked by undead for a time
>get to the abbey and morning sets upon us
>keep going past, see some wildlife
>ah, this is peaceful, cherish these moments
>Chimera spotted in the distance
>fuck yes, its time, this will test if i will enjoy a full Sorc/mage party
>sure enough, my pawns get 1-2 shot, no biggie
>use a huge boulder to distance myself and just spam Ingle like mad
>good 10 mins go by, all thats left is the Goat head
>watch as all my pawns leap onto it and shoot at it pointblank
>lose my shit at this and join the fun
>entire party climbing all over this cocksucker slapping him with balls of flame
>dies a min later
>feel accomplished, this will be setup for the entire run, no matter how tough it gets
>that feel when, been here since 08 and i still can't greentext for shit
there might be a few, but probably lost between the waifu shitfest.
I still haven't found another Boss Pawn, and that saddens my heart.
So I made some changes based on your feedback guys, I removed the DLC robes she was wearing, and switched out holy affinity and grapnel for frazil and frigor.
Am I doing it right?
Gonna put some hours in tonight and level her some more.
Would you hire the Queen of the Reef?
I believe in you to make her Anon.
Well, I have had about 12 hires and half were from friends I made on console.
This Steam version is kind of strange as far as activity so far, something feels off about it. Like active players are not meeting each other. On PS3 you almost always got hired in certain level ranges. Add to the fact that you cannot search by user ID and things are pretty slow.
So wait if red = delicious brown amazon and yellow = elves.........
Should an Assassin be a delicious brown elven amazon?
Also the mere thought of that is fucking godly
Feel free to hire my ranger pawn if you're around level 40, I'm getting off for the night, but if I see that you've hired my pawn, I'll return the favor. Need those delicious rift crystals, yo.
Yes. Yes they should.
This also means that Magick Archers are loli elves, and Mystic Knights are loli amazons.
This is the world we live in.
She is a graceful and elegant Awoken cutie.
You did well Junas... You did well :')
Whoever did this, I thank you kind stranger.
Who else is dressing up male pawns in Mercedes armour?
Brown Amazon Elves you say?
You can stack them up to 4 times, the same can be done to every other Periapt. Although I'm not sure if they work with each other when you pop x4 Conqueror and Demon Periapts but I feel as though they should.
Anyone willing to take my pawn for a walk? I ran out of RC a minute ago.
i didnt know it was dlc gear, im a pc peasant, just checked my storage at gran soren and it was full of random items that im pretty sure i didnt deposit + some of those sets, whats wrong with them?
it doesnt matter if you upgrade them or not, you can choose to stop the cast once it hits the first tier and it will cast that tier. all you wasted was DcP and that becomes abundant later on.
Is it possible for me to do Daimon 2.0 if I have about 1600 strength as a strider? I don't have thousand kisses or an advanced skull splitter ring yet. Dunno if i should try farming the few chests that have low level 3 rates around bbi or just bumrush his chamber over and over for gear.
Trying this again now that things have slowed down/I changed things up. Can I get some feedback on skills/augments and what not? Changed the scar up as well because it did sort of look like ass. And yeah I know dlc armour but everything else i have atm would make a clown suit. Was debating between launch board and divine defense.
it's shitty capcrap dlc items. they're basically pre-order items.
their stats are mostly nothing special but you shouldn't use them anyway. Also don't sell them because you will get a shit ton of money
ruins progression. also no one will ever hire your pawn if it wears dlc crap
No I don't. The only thing I know is that the game tells me that the spell will be more powerful.
It didn't tell me that pawns won't be able to use it without casting it at full.
She looks the same as pic related but is now dressed differently.
Normally I have her as a ranger, and she's pretty damn good. I switched her to sorcerer for the hell of it a minute ago. Let me know if you want me to change her back.
Oh, I'm not too bothered by what vocation they are, to be honest. I'm just looking for some kind of ranged pawn to balance out my party. I like to run with 2 ranged 2 melee for the most part.
Anyway, I'll grab Lenneth for my next run. Anything you want me to look out for?
as far as personal fun?
As far as potential power?
Ranger - S+
Mystic Knight - S
Magick Archer - A
Assassin - A
Strider - A
Sorcerer - B
Fighter - B
Warrior - C
Mage - D
I mostly want RC at this point, but if you find a nice longbow I'd love you long time.
Same reason you keep switching your pawn around? For fun.
I don't even know what I'm doing with mine.
Sometimes pawns are too strong and they trivialize some fights. You could put shitty gear on it to balance it out though.
Well, I can't guarantee a Longbow unless she's a ranger, and even then it might be worse than what she's got. I'll send her back with a cursed weapon of some kind, so I'll make sure she gets plenty of riftbux.
Assassin is alright, I guess i should have put arrows there.
Tons of fun:
Fun but not all the time:
Get stale fast:
I'm still in the midst of beating BBI 2.0 at level 72. I do 0 damage to daimon 2nd form without conqeror's periapts so I really have to make my 12 count. I almost got him down to less than a half bar left, and then the periapts wore off and then I accidentally got bolided/seism'd to death because he just started going on a spellcasting rampage and all I could do was mighty bend to maybe do 5 damage.
>heard that you can one shot death if you hit him with the light arrow thingy
>try it out and it actually works
>go up 13 levels
>He fell for the "people prefer lolis" meme
So my mage pawn is level 57 at the moment and he's coming back with just a few too many triple 3 ratings so I'm assuming he's dying to stupid things.
Should I change him to fighter til about 100 to give him some extra durability? He's already picked up about 30 levels of sorc to help what few damage spells he has.
Witch Hunt just activated but I was rushing to get the wyrmkings ring, does it fail after time or am I good for a while?
>find out about MA
>realize elf ears are a thing when I use secret of metamorphisis
>warrior pawns that jump on monsters and try to stab them
convince me to not restart and make Evangeline and Iop-brain.
This is the most fun I've had in a long ass time.
Probably the best soundtrack in the game too.
>tfw your male warrior pawn actually gets hired
Guys where do I get the third bit of Wakestone?
I'm afraid that quest is going to disappear and the guy will think I'm a cock.
He's coming back with too much RC for it to be him getting brined. But I guess he's fine without the warrior levels then? Just a little retarded I guess with ledges(and likely petrification)
>hellhounds are still a pain in the ass because of the grab and the lightning fast fireballs that always stun
fuck those god damn dogs seriously
Same thing is happening to my ranger, first time I've seen so many 3s in one day, got hit with like 10 of them and lost my perfect 5 stars on everything.
Lots of RC though, one of them was even 90k.
Any r9 390 users here getting dips to 70fps ? I'm usually n 120-150 fps but it dips pretty bad in the fields sometimes even 50fps. I have everything maxed out, should I lower something or is this normal?
Is getting a fucking Longbow bugged or some shit?
I'm on about 18 to 20 of these fucking weapons and not a single longbow.
>fight a cursed dragon for the first time
>all my armor was already dragon forged
>make pawn modele after misuzu gundou
>mfw /ddg/ constantly elaborates that they give poor ratings to short girls that seem like lolis
if we make it after a character that's already been made, it's not as grave a sin, is it?
What level is yours? Mine is 47.
Most of my BBI stuff is at rank 2 now as well.
Kind of annoyed at this happening so much. Is 1.8k health too low at 47? Maybe I'll grind a few fighter levels on her.
There are people IN THIS THREAD who don't give at least a 4 star rating in appearance to the Pawns they hire.
Why would you hire a Pawn if you don't think it looks good? Surely among the other 100 available there is one that looks good to you and has the skills you want at the moment.
currently 44, he yells good and hits things hard
>Salty 3 star loli shitter
You get what you deserve
There are people IN THIS THREAD who don't GET at least a 4 star rating in appearance for their pawn.
>Why would you hire a Pawn if you don't think it looks good?
I was hiring some Suasion pawns the other day to get dat phat sale gold, and I found this short little disgusting troll woman, she looked like a female Danny Devito, full acquisitor so she sprinted for every treasure chest. Was a badass sorceress though and got me the gold I needed so I 5/5ed the shit out of her.
As for your generic loli shit who I'm sure is undoubtedly using the basic bitch hairstyle, into the trash it goes.
So I just picked up the game and beat the Hydra. I've been messing with skills on my Strider or whatever the Dagger/Bowman is called and can't get the "dashing" dagger attack you can train early on to show up in my skill list. I've tried setting it as my left mouse, right mouse, and E hotkeys all and no matter what the skill doesn't show up for use. Pressing alt just pulls up the bow. I learned the two bow skills available and they both work fine when hotkeyed. Anyone know what's up?
Neither my Arisen nor my Pawn are like that friends, I'm just pointing out that it's kinda silly to hire a Pawn that you would think looks so bad it deserves a 1 star rating.
I've never gotten a 1 star rating, I'm just saying.
that means you dont have to equip them moron, hit O to show explanation and it'll tell you they're attack skills, you use them by hitting lmb, pausing, then hitting lmb repeatedly and holding rmb, respectively
>just picked up a strider with sapfires
>fighting on the bridge
>syncro cast 3x bolide with pawn
>3 poisoned undead go flying off the bridge, along with all the pawns clinging to them
uh, sorry guys
>tfw can't share my pawn because I'm low level and not at end game yet
feels bad man
go into settings
there's primary skills and secondary skills
alt is for secondary skills so it brings up you. I forgot what the default hotkey is for primary
>did you equip them
>no I'm pretty sure I can't equip them and don't have to
>you don't have to, moron
Golly gee I figured that much out for myself, baka. Already read the explanation. I'm gonna try other anon's advice and fight an enemy and try it out.
>I've never gotten a 1 star rating, I'm just saying.
Hardly anyone does unless they're being hired trolls. Stop whining about something that literally doesn't happen.
I rate pawns 3 stars in appearance all the time because sometimes they deserve it.
>>tfw can't share my pawn because I'm low level and not at end game yet
>feels bad man
Plenty of us are not even close to endgame either.
Like other people have said, I'd rather give Riftbucks to someone from /ddg/ than a random stranger.
>first time in chamber of confusion
>takes out 2 of my guys by petrification
>end up dying at about 3 health bars
>rapidly pressing A, expecting to retry at last save
>forgot about the complimentary wakestone
>accidently hit revive
>oh well, another shot
>manage to kill it dead in about 6 seconds
>2 wakestones as a drop
well the game was made for ps3/360 what'd you expect
>some Anons point out that Exodus Slash has invincibility frames
>try it out
>you are untouchable during the whole first attack
Holy shit man, I've been playing Warrior wrong for so long...
This changes everything.
like i said, hit lmb, pause for about a second, then hit lmb repeatedly for the first one. hold rmb for the second one, that goes for fighter and striders combos too
they arent skills like savage lash, you dont hold the skill key and hit a button, theyre just combos that use the left or right mouse button
>griffin doesn't fly away to the Bluemoon Tower
>keeps flying off and then coming back
I feel a little cheated, I really love that quest
Thanks. That's awkward for me to press but it doesn't seem like there's much nearby to rebind for the same roll. Maybe C.
So auto attacks are default, ctrl is specials for your primary weapon and alt is specials for your secondary?
GUYS I FUCKED UP!!!!
Before I entered the Dragon's Lair, all my pawns got downed, and I entered.. THEY AREN'T FUCKING HERE
THERE IS NO POSSIBLE WAY I CAN SOLO THIS FUCKER
BEST PART IS MY SAVE KEEPS ME STUCK IN HERE
I REFUSE TO MAKE A NEW GAME.
Good pawn, I don't need a Warrior but I'm hiring her anyways.
>ezmoding the Gazer when you can climb to it's eye and kiss it to death, even without perries
Man there's so many ways to tackle the Gazer that it's not even funny. My favourites are either baiting the tentacle stab so that it pokes itself in the eye, or using the Great Cannon it creates on itself.
I do that all the time with my mage. Except my Arisen is a small scantily clad elven fighter and my pawn is a taller considerably more modest looking cleric healbot.
Pretty pathetic display having to drop what I was doing to pick her and her deathwish up like a sack of potatoes, desperately trying to keep her from running into attacks and getting mauled to death constantly.
If there's a thing this game desperately needs is a way to put markers down to direct pawns. The come command is fucking worthless.
You can probably solo him, may as well give it a go since you fucked yourself anyway, there might be a chance that you resummon your personal pawn at least when you get to the final part where you actually fight.
Question. I changed up my hired pawns, sent the old ones off with gifts and hired new ones. Now I reloaded a checkpoint by mistake, the old pawns are back. Does that mean my gifts didn't go through and I need to resend, or wil lthat mean double gifts?
So, is Tenfold spam the sole reason Ranger is considered good?
As in, if that sounds boring as shit to me, should I even bother with Ranger? Does it have other, more engaging approaches to combat?
Hey is there anyway I can equip stuff to other classes?
I want put my dragon forged armor shit on my mage
It does, but then you get shit like enchanting everyone's weapon, magick balls, fucking knock that shit out aoe attack and you get to use swords
Without the satisfying animations
See >>129394054 for an example. MK also gets access to Fighter's gap closer as well as an airborne version for itself, and other neato tools. MK is only slightly slower than Fighter because MK combat also involves buffing yourself from time to time.
>almost level 50
>started out as assassin for attack and stamina, been planning on switching to mystic knight
>not sure now because I'd rather have fun melee shit in my sword skill slots than cannon or sigils
>can't decide if the buffs and ripostes are worth giving up windmill, gouge, and intimate gambit
You have the daggerskills of strider and assassin, obviously broken tenfold, also got Great Gamble (which is great as fuck), Deathly Arrow is even more OP than Great Gamble on Arisen if you can time it right (at level 3) and can be used to throw enemies off bridges, you also have AoE stun, AND a body-pin to the wall that is actually very useful against certain annoying enemies in BBL.
Sometimes shit happens. Like death popping up and ohkoing them, or daimon sending them back, or them jumping over a treasure chest near a cliff and clearing right over, or getting kicked off a ledge by an elder ogre.
Just some shit I've had happen to my guys.
How would you guys suggest building a fighter pawn? Right now the only skills that seem worthwhile are heavenward lash for flying enemies, and dragon's maw for everything else.
As for inclinations, I'm running Scather/Pioneer right now and it seems to be working well, though there are times when my pawn will just sort of run around during a fight and not actually fucking do anything. This seems to mainly happen with caster enemies strangely enough.
Hey pals make sure you hold onto your badge of vows for NG+. You can just take all the quests and autocomplete them again.
>He doesn't have three Warrior pawns in his party
MK works perfectly fine without Cannon, but Sigil is nice to have for a quick burst of AoE damage. Riposte skills are 10/10 though, especially the Light/Dark ones. Dark is amazing because it torpors shit and Light is great because at tier 3 it surrounds you with holy orbs when you PB.
I min-maxed my way to 200 for MK and I don't regret it whatsoever. MK is fun as fuck, dude.
Don't forget to carry a staff on you as well to mix things up. Sometimes an Ingle or a Levin will get the job done better than your sword or shield.
I heard sword assassin was pretty good so i tried it out.
that gouge move is pretty sweet but other than that, i seem to be doing shit. what other skills should i be using? intimate gambit doesnt seem like it really does much. stunning/damaging enemies with it seems pretty cool though
was it all a ruse and sword assassin is really a waste? or am i doing something wrong?
Anyone wanna rent a strider pawn? I've been teaching her to jump Brainsplitter. Sorry her stats aren't that great yet, I have no level 3 weapons yet. I want to replace her cloak as well to something more ascetically pleasing such as the Beast or Sovereign Cloak but for now I need this for 100% possession immunity. Let me know how she does if you do rent her or any suggestions.
Blink Strike/Dragon's Maw/preference
if your pawn is smart and you trained it properly, then change to Scather/Util is superior
Pioneer is a waste.
This is a strange thing to say. Games will always use speedtree, there's nothing wrong with it.
Has anyone done any testing of Inflection? Is it still fucked?
I don't use cannons or sigils on my MK (unless I feel like mixing it up). Ripostes, Abyssal Anguish, Stone Jungle, Blink Strike and Full Moon Slash are all you'll ever need. Try it out. If you've never stun-locked a Cursed Dragon with Stone Forest before, you're definitely missing out.
Gouge isn't the only sword skill for assassins. Clairvoyance is stylish as hell and Powder Blast/Barrage are good for when you really need to bring some ordnance to a fight. Don't forget, Sword Assassin still has access to shit like Full Moon Slash, Burst Strike, Tusk Toss, etc etc.
>friend buys game
>make new save and hire his pawn
why did I expect anything else
Apparently as of Dark Arisen's original release on the PS3 and 360, Inflection doubled the amount of damage you took, instead of halving it. It was a pretty well-known bug, I thought.
If you need help to cheat you really are a lost cause.
>finally reach post-game
>farm UR for an hour
>progress not visible
so we real UR now?
Not that guy, but maybe he just wants to ease some of the mix-maxing? I have hundreds of hours on this game, and I don't really want to do it all over again, so I understand if that's the case.
I always found it too easy though, so now I'm just playing MK and going "fuck it" to stats.
You can put yourself on FUCKING FIRE in order to kill enemies. Do you really need more convincing than that?
After 70 levels of Warrior is it worthwhile going MK or will the damage drop off be out of control? What about Assassin or Strider for climbing and stabbing faces Surely that crossover is ok
>I don't need help to cheat
>I just need help on how to use the cheat tool in order to cheat
Step it up.
Minmaxing doesn't matter because of how much your stats are going to lean on gear.
Is shield summons really worth it? Feels like most the time I see a pawn use it, they'd be better off doing something to actually make shit dead. Also how do you actually "train" a pawn? Do you have to just play the same vocation as them and fight how you want them to?
THEY'RE MASTERWORKS ALL, YOU CAN'T GO WRONG. THEY'RE MASTERWORKS ALL, YOU CAN'T GO WRONG. THEY'RE MASTERWORKS ALL, YOU CAN'T GO WRONG. THEY'RE MASTERWORKS ALL, YOU CAN'T GO WRONG. THEY'RE MASTERWORKS ALL, YOU CAN'T GO WRONG. THEY'RE MASTERWORKS ALL, YOU CAN'T GO WRONG. THEY'RE MASTERWORKS ALL, YOU CAN'T GO WRONG. THEY'RE MASTERWORKS ALL, YOU CAN'T GO WRONG. THEY'RE MASTERWORKS ALL, YOU CAN'T GO WRONG. THEY'RE MASTERWORKS ALL, YOU CAN'T GO WRONG. THEY'RE MASTERWORKS ALL, YOU CAN'T GO WRONG. THEY'RE MASTERWORKS ALL, YOU CAN'T GO WRONG.
>pawn gets like four rents today
>one comes back as a 5/5 "Was our greatest fighter."
>the others come back as 3/5s with no items, but my pawn gained knowledge of BBI and Death
>a few hours later, I get another rent
>think to myself that the person just hired me in the rift by accident and sent him back
>read the report
>5/5, "Was our best fighter", and gives me a wakestone
>realize he came back and rented me because he was sad that my pawn died
The path I took was pretty wonky, to be honest. It was kinda un-optimized but in the end it worked out well. Pre-100 I did some levels of Fighter and Sorcerer before dumping the rest into Assassin, then post-100 I did 7 Ranger (just to pad out my Stamina a tiny bit more and further equalize my ST/MA) then the rest Sorcerer.
You can safely ignore Bastion/Awareness if you're not on Hard mode, but since I am, they're pretty important.
Articulacy+Wyrmking's Ring makes casting your spells a fair bit quicker and makes combat feel faster in general, but still not quite as fast as say, Strider or Fighter.
101-200 2 levels in Fighter, 12 levels in Ranger, 60 levels in M.Archer, 26 levels in Assassin
Mag Def 300
Give you some great stat growth for Warrior. It also makes it so you don't get one shot by every magic thing out there.
>Stumble upon some bandits at mid 20s
>Start cleaning them up, Chimera decides to join the fight
>Now things are getting interesting.jpeg
>10 minutes in real time later a Skeleton Lord spawns in late evening in-game not really night
>Whatever, I can dance around him
>Kill the bandits and get the Chimera to a single bar of health
>ANOTHER Skeleton Lord spawns in
>Proceed to die because no one could do anything without getting gangbanged
Fuck this game
>Taking some anons ranger or Strider through BBI
>Lose them to death after ages
>Go back to rift to get a replacement
>They're there at a higher level with better gear.
>Rehire them and continue the journey
If only there was a wealth of information online to guide you through the process.
>"I was an apothecary before becoming an Arisen. Made my coin mixing potions. Fusing reagents into new compounds. New elements. Alchemy, in a word. This place is a trove of herb and ores found nowhere else. Nowhere natural. I've seen gold and jewels enough to rot my eyes, but the treasures this place hides ought to keep me entertained for years to come."
So the new DDO class is Barroch?
>after 30 hours someone FINALLY hires my pawn
How do I deal with this
I backed up my old save and made a new one. What happens to people that were currently using the pawn from my old save?
>play through a bunch of classes just for stats
>have to reach level 200 to finally play the class you want
i swear, min/max fags are the worst. by the time youre level 200. youre practically done with the game.
If they make a loli pawn you should throw them into the sea IRL
>Grizzled male veterans
>waifus in dlc gear
ye here's ur guide
stop being a min maxin cunt. none of this shit matters. do 1-10 fighter 10-200 mystic knight. enjoy killing everything in the fucking game with ease cause you're playing the most OP class their is. You can literally play a fucking mage of all things to 200 and then switch to Mystic Knight and wreck absolutely everything with ease just because of how broken the class is.
>keep getting gifts and a 5 star rating from a person, but the RC is 0 so they aren't actually using my pawn
So what do Pike's options do?
I'm afraid he'll be killed if I send him back, but telling him to run far away is a terrible fate, too. I wish I could just let him stay. If the bandits come for him, then I'll fight them. I'm the Arisen, aren't I?
I dunno it doesn't seem to work apparently, keeps trying to bite my head off every time I stick out
Tell me you don't want that?
Yeah, it's a bit silly. The only min/maxing I do now is leveling certain vocations for augments early on. So I did Fighter until I could use Sorcerer, maxed it out, then Warrior, and when I maxed that out, MK. And that'll be all the mix-maxing I do. Haven't even gotten to Grigori yet.
>Is shield summons really worth it?
>Also how do you actually "train" a pawn? Do you have to just play the same vocation as them and fight how you want them to?
To an extent. Also the more bestiary knowledge they have, the better they know how to fight monsters
