What happened to the stats in this fucking game? Looking at my old character, my weapons had 300~ life on hit. Now I get more than that at level 40, and at level 70, 9000 life on hit is as easy as picking up that shit on the floor. Why can't blizzard design anything without fucking massive number bloat anymore?
This new loot and changes to the game have given me a need to have multiple characters of the same class. With dif builds. (fire wiz. cold wiz, arcane and so on) and it would be nice to be able to buy with cash money extra character slots and stash tabs.
what's the best place to browse all the items and search stuff? the official blizz guide?
Whenever someone mentions an item I don't know I go there, but there's some stupid shit like needing to know what kind of equipment it is before you can filter by name. I can't search all items, I need to search just all helms, or all gloves.
where were you when you found out that kormac is a team killing heretic traitor to his own brethren who were just trying to protect humans and also turned out to be correct once angels tried to genocide them?
so with the heart of iron effect is it better to gem vit or str
does the thorn damage from main stat make up for having less thorns?
>another season of farming Starmetal Kukri
Why does it have to be so good
We all suffer together, in the light of the SMK.
Anyone playing monk on season?
I've been running sunwuko with the kyoshiro belt and vengeful wind, but just got a full set of Uliana's, Lion, and AZ.
Are they still viable in 2.4?
Since I'm stuck around Torment 8 with the Monkey, thinking of switching to UL
farm your first set with them together, have them clear GR and you go down only for the loot, at least until you have a set or can survive even if you don't do much. That's what friends are for, that's why you play with them, to play together, right?
Not played Barb since near launch. Can they actually do damage now or are they still meatshields that have to cope with just outliving everything else rather than capitalising on RAWR SMASH?
Just got S5 free set on DH already though.
Bonus question: Is 2h Barb viable now or is dual-wielding still king because crit gems?
I dont usually follow a build since its more fun to mess around but I must ask, what mix of skills work well for a hammerdin? Never done that before.
Kind if like the lightning version atm.
>haven't seen a single litany of the undaunted
>extra stash tab
>this will solve all my problems
>filled to the brim with trash
>mfw alkaizer only uses 3 tabs
don't think so
akkhan bombard is decent and runs with a 4.5x multiplier so you need to beat that with ancients
i watched alkaizer swap to it on stream with almost full setup and the damage boost was insane like near triple so with less ancients it will still be better
and then for crusader at least many of the slots don't have a good item, nemesis bracer, ice climbers, skeleton king shoulders, weapon, shield, even hexing pants don't make or break the build, they just add nice things. it will run fine with random ancients in those slots and the power gain will be worth it
So how actually good is paragon 630 on a Female Babarian?
Everyone is enticed by the 40,000% impale damage.
That seems kind of lame though. I want to blow shit up with EB, not juggle 1000 different elements to drop meteors while dotting everything that the group will kill before the dot does.
>12/13 items are ancient, only the rings are Set items
>there is no damage increase, only at 850k damage when this should be increased with each ancient
>tried to see if it's just an unseen boost, and that things will just die fast anwyay
>critting for ~40M instead of 1000+M
What the hell?
I'm an idiot, and I want to be completely sure before I do something stupid. roll elite damage until I get a socket, right?
look at the pages of recipes
1x of every act material and 5x death's breath allows to to destroy a legendary item to extract the power, indicated by a hollow diamond next to the power description on the item
that's probably what you want most out of this, so there's that
then you click the little icon and select one of the powers you've collected
Haven't played since RoS dropped, what is the best way to keep gearing up to climb Torments? Just do adventures and rifts? Hit 70 early this evening and only a few levels of Paragon. I plan on finishing Act V at some point this week, but was going to grind a little tonight.
>didn't pay enough attention
>didn't realize I had to kill EVERYTHING for mastery objective
phew that was close
I leveled with lightning hammers, running around chaining massacre things.
fields of misery, level 3 in front of butcher were both good. might be better places though, look it up if you really care to be DA BEST EFFICIENT.
>want to experiment with a frost build
>cannot bring myself to ruin this amulet because it might suck
Do we fun or no fun?
Blood shards for armor, greater rifts are best for blood shard farming. Priority of offhand>hands>helm>chest>legs>shoulders>feet. Once you get a set item, start rolling for another item slot.
Cube for weapons. Normal rifts for best DB farming, although its going to be pretty slow unless you team up with a speedrunning barb/WD.
For now just jump to T4-5 and party up with a barb with a Chinese name and a paragon level of 900. He won't even notice the difficulty increase as you pick up after him.
>Can they actually do damage now or are they still meatshields that have to cope with just outliving everything else rather than capitalising on RAWR SMASH?
Set bonuses means everyone does damage, although not only are Barbs consistently the highest DPS, they also have the fastest clear time.
>Is 2h Barb viable now or is dual-wielding still king because crit gems?
Depends on the set, but more often than not dual wielding is best.
They kinda made stuff too easy with the power creep. 3 days in and I have all wizard sets completed along with ancient variants of deathwish, unstable scepter and aether walker. What do I do now? Grind for very minor upgrades / ancients / level gems?
>not enjoying the experience of gearing up with your friends
I've put over 20K shards and 1K DBs into finding an Akarat's shield without success. Haven't even started on Blood Brother. It's not hard but it isn't instant for everyone like it was for you.
Why is the firebird set so shitty? Dmo gets 2000% bonus dmg in the bubble and tal rasha gets x4 500% = 2000% dmg. Firebird only gets 25% for every enemy burning and a single 600% bonus. for elite enemies and the bonus disappears immediately when the enemy dies so the bonus for trash is fucking worthless and for elites you have a long wind up time while doing a lot less dmg than the other sets even with fhe elite bonus
>farmed 20 hours for hack
>thought it was gonna do tons of damage
>1mil max with my 2 piece stacked up
>using a puzzle ring in the cube summons greeds domain
>mfw 3 puzzle rings
is the game running like shit for anyone else this season? previous seasons i'd get a client like this maybe once a week but now everytime i launch it it runs terribly. freezes on opening the game, freezes joining a group, 10fps in rifts etc.
>watching banshee chapter while doing rifts
We spookycomfy now.
I just fucking love horror movies while I play games like this. Anything that doesn't have an active storyline I have to pay attention to, really.
Is Crusader any good this season? I'm legitimately bored with DH because 9 billion impales are amusing for a while, but then feel overpowered.
Do you ever get used to Raekors?
Im constantly running out of charges when im killing packs of blues.
Ingeom is great, just hold down leap and mash threatening shout, I wouldnt even use furnace until youre pushing higher grifts.
Yea it's just annoying when you don't find another pack before buff wears off. If I lose track of if I'm on a real leap or lutsox leap proc then the cooldown refund from fury spender is wasted
I'm using the Vyr set, so I'm using the Arcane Torrent with Static Discharge along with a cubed Zodiac.
The thing is, I don't see my Archon CD going down faster at all, even though it's the only thing on CD. What am I doing wrong?
>anything breathing at my direction kills me
>one shot elites
>either clear 35 grifts in 5 minutes without getting hit or get stuck in ranged/caster mobs
Is this normal 6/6 Jade Harvester Witch Doctor gameplay? What's my next step? I'd love to have more toughness, but it's not like I have any options.
You need Lakumbas Ornament (bracer) and Sacred Harvester (one-hand weapon)
Lakumba gives you 6% damage reduction per stack of soul harvest. Sacred Harvester lets soul harvest stack to 10. Boom, 60% damage reduction at full stack across the board.
Crusader or Demon Hunter
It still doesn't work. The damage should be comparable to the Unhallowed Essence (Multishot build) set if the ancient bonuses were active, but I do less than 10% of the damage I should be doing with this gear.
Gee I wonder when reforging a lego takes 50 souls and 5 of each bounty mat, whereas you can farm key fucking fast and do the piss easy bosses on t10 for 1-2 mats/kill with friends.
I never actually commit so basically just fantasising what I could be
Just like life ;_;
All my toons are inventory sluts carrying legendaries from an era before seasons came out. Should I just salvage?
Get a hellfire amulet with jungle fortitude passive roll
and also this.
But even if you equip it as a cube weapon power, you will still need to equip locust swarm on your action bar no? Does that rune change the weapon's passive locust behaviour?
I have the disintegrate-twister+slowtime combo build and it'S pretty fucking amazing but how am I supposed to play quickly? I cast the bubble, pop one or two tornadoes on my own to lower the slow time cooldown and then shoot disintegrate until I'm done but it feels pretty slow when you're confined to your bubbles.
I also just have 100 arcane power so it's empty pretty fast if I cast nadoes.
>literally never get good conduit pylons like they were purposefully coded to be in shitty places with shitty layouts with shitty monster packs
>finally get a semi decent one
>instant grift record
nice balanced gameplay
So /vg/, what was the first Legendary Kadala gave you that wasn't shit?
>5 extra stash tabs
>1 unlocked from the start, 4 unlocked for completing those sets of challenges after the season journey
>4 tabs to unlock, 4 sets of challenges
>completed the first one, did not get a stash tab
Do you seriously have to complete the fourth set to receive 4 stash tabs?
The one that requires playing hardshit and getting 3 conquests done?
Instead of getting one tab for each set?
Mastering 8 set dungeons seems easy enough I guess but you need at least four full sets for two classes
I'm almost out of stash space and I don't even have all the sets for the only class I play
Blizzard give me my fucking stash space please
>not joining the reddit chat
>not joining their "good only" T 10 normal rifts
>not putting on sages set
>not getting 3 reddit cucks working for you while you get 3
or was it 4?deaths breaths for every elite
It's like you don't even want those ancient weapons desu
You give up the Endless Walk set.
That's 100% damage boost. I'm pretty sure it stacks multiplicatively with Akkans so that's a 900% damage multiplier you have to beat. And that's without mentioning CoE if you use that.
Farming t40 on my monk, but starting to finally feel dead endy without getting just the right pieces out of a million.
Gonna roll a new character to fuck around with for now. Wizard or DH?
>Managed to find two Ramalandi's Gifts so far this season
>Still no Hack
>Still no Akkarat's Awakening
>10k blood shards and I don't even want to know how many deaths breath
Desire to reroll is rising. Is Leapquake fun/viable? Haven't looked into it too much.
DMO for grifts, Tal's for speedfarming T10
LoN bombardment is good, but holy shit is it boring.
>ride around looking for elites
>have to time your nuke with physical convention
>ride around waiting for cds
LoN blessed shield is more >fun but not as good
You can still switch to pure waifu!
Jesus fucking Christ get flawless royal gems holy shit each one will give you like 200 str over your current setup
>almost as high paragon as me
>only 500 mil gold while I'm around 3 bil
How do you accomplish that, do you empower grifts before getting all the important things gold can buy?
Barb and WD only for group support, Monk is dead
Shadow set DH is so much fun. Tumble all over the fucking place and 1 shotting elites, Rares, riftbosses, and Bosses.
Sub-Par Items still but dem 12 billion crits on bosses.
I'll sill move over to UE later with proper ancient gear. I can't see Shadow Set being a high end Grifting build maybe in groups, but not solo.
does the trick of splitting damage with your follow who has the trinket to prevent death still work?
did someone manage to beat the stupid multishot set dungeon?
the groups are always just 13-15 enemies large and if i try to kite them into another one theyll just stop following at some point or i have to be so slow that id never make it in time
Oh you can play any class you want. Most groups will accept anyone as long as you have a high enough paragon level and fill the role they need.
On an unrelated note, rating inviting/kicking people based on their paragon level is pretty dumb.
i just saw someone looking for p450+ people only to split bounties. Holy shit I didn't know bounties were so difficult.
Monks were nerfed a bit this patch and everyone else fixed/buffed.
Play what you want to play though. Everyone is within a few gr's of each other now and at the end of the ptr run (when everyone was topping out at the low 80's)
Because all the top tier picks currently gained a lot of useful items, and a whole new set that's REALLY strong with damage, and suriviability built in. Like look at Shadow Set
%40,000 Weapon Damage bruh, Pull of Earth, and Invoker and tell me those aren't good sets.
WD, and Monk Both had some skils interactions taken away form them. or down right nerfs. Like how they took away how Sun Wuko's interaction with Inna's.
I'm just being whiny desu.
Bounties are serious business. Better set up teamspeak and break out the diagrams to discuss strategy for 15 minutes.
People are fucking retarded this season.
Also DH's item that got along with the Shadow set SHITS OUT DAMAGE. Like one the popular Daggers 'Increases Fan of Knives damage by 100% ever 1 second. Stacks up to 30' Just vault into a rare group and it disappears.
Did something change with Firebirds in the last hour or so? Suddenly went from trailing behind my DMO friend to leading in grifts. Buff seems far more consistent as well.
Maybe just because I finally hit a point where I can apply the perma burn instantly.
is it possible to overwrite augment ancient item?
friend said i could use emeralds and still get my main stat now i have 150 dex on my str weapon
Got this Tri just now. Will do wonders once I have DMO.
yeah, I was thinking of going for the DH set but the lack of aoe makes me not want to do it as a first character (I've also never played DH so I'd have no idea what I'd be doing)
Kind of wanted to go wizard instead but it seemed like their good build was annoying to do in practice (safety bubble spam)
So I decided to go for leapquake, I just saw the guy post barb was support duty and I'm like "what that's bullshit if so" and didn't want to regret my barb choice.
>read about firebird's disgrace
Also, i am a bit retarded and usually stop playing after collect 6pc but since free set...what's the usuall build?
Before i just ran 2buffs+blink+hydra+fire blizzard+black hole. But how i see twister with +15 and wonder if its any good.
Also wanted to create lightning ball wizz, is that possible even?
lack of aoe only matters with HUGE packs and after you fuse yourself dagger then there is no problems at all.
Really, grab set and you can clear t6 with yellow wepon. Then get dagger and 2 items for cube and 38% cdr and you're set
For some reason crusader never appealed to me all that much, feels slow. But I've only tried leveling one, didn't get it to 70.
You'd probably need to tell me a bit about DH since I have never actually played one (wasn't too big on how edgy they made him). I had a friend tell me it hurt their fingers and that stutter stepping was annoying though.
And is that fan of knives thing how DH clears mobs at all? Wondering if it would be any good in solo grift.
Isn't that the definition of the average HC player?
I can only help with SC DH because that's how i like to play them. And i just started so i didn't go high level GR and just gearing.
Im gonna assume you know the gear but if not i can write it.
For build i use http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/demon-hunter#WZTOfd!cijf!ZY.YaZ
Could even do T10 right away with yellow weapon but take too much damage and too slow, lol.
Can't tell you how to be on high level GR but right now i just open rift, cast Vengeance for 100% uptime and run around the level. If i find huge pack - i fan it, elite - dagger it or fan, all this time just run and throw daggers left and right because i can. Bola is only for bracers(and later focus&restraint) basically.
>And is that fan of knives thing how DH clears mobs at all? Wondering if it would be any good in solo grift.
Im talking about this "free" set. FoN is the only group clear here, yes.
whats the most fun with a new build you guys have had this season?
Did thorns crusader and had fun. Thorny horse was great.
Rolled barb and got a set for leapquake and raekors. Both pretty fun.
Split between DH and wiz for my next class.
>find the same ring with higher main stats
>keep rolling it for a higher att speed/crit damage/crit than my old one
>get perfect att speed
>still lower dps
>look at the stats
>it rolled Dex instead of Int for my WD for whatever reason
>spent nearly all my imperial rubies
Paragon 400ish. Did thorns sader for first character. Once I got the flail/shield set, farming for bloodshards is stupid easy with 2min t8 rifts.
Just dump them into your alt and you'll have full sets before you know it.
I don't know if I understand it 100%, but from what I know the 6 piece doesn't take effect until the enemy has hit the 3000% burn rate even though it reads as though it should take effect once they start burning. because of that you won't get the 6 piece on normal trash mobs, only elites.
Hate how some procs work in this game.
>Item has chance to proc X
>Procs the first thing you hit
>Is now on a hidden CD
Who the fuck came up with that retarded shit
It's stupidly hard to test thanks to the 10% proc rate. You'll have to rig a stunlock build test it. Mimmic mirror + stun blizzard + crystallize armor/halo + frost nova.
I tried making a build with it but the proc rate was so low the damage couldn't carry.
It does now. It did not show it a few years ago.
Since the proc's percentage based and not "sometimes" based I!m pretty sure it doesn't. Now that you mention that weapon, I wonder whether it is viable in some cases like LoN for example.
I played D3 on release and I had fun but only clocked like 30 hours all things considered
What am I missing? Seems like it would get boring rather fast.
I was debating whether to get the expansion too.
I can pretty much stunlock (freeze) with a monk even without the Frostburn gloves. That goes for goblins as well as bosses. Just got the gloves today so I'm going to have to try the build with Rimeheart. 10% might be a little low though.
I'm here again. Anyone got an idea? I enchanted some of the gear so I'm just over 1M damage.
Here's the very strange part: Changing out one of the LoN rings only reduces my damage by a couple of thousand. There definitely is no "100% more damage per Ancient item" calculated in there. I should literally be doing 1000% more damage but I'm not.
Does it just not work on Demon Hunters or something?
It's the build from the OP. I'm not really that squishy yet and wormwood is necessary for the build. Sacred Harvester+Lakumba's combo is 60% all damage taken reduced. I could possibly use the cat instead of Vile Hive, if I ever find one. The next lowest build in the guide is 6/6 Helltooth for 70+ Grifts, so I guess I'm supposed to use this until then.
Doesn't wormwood just save a locust swarm cast every now and then? Hardly seems necessary, especially since you have the pestilence rune from the off hand, so the spreading isn't the problem.
One combo is basically all your mana and you don't have any mana regeneration. You literally cannot support self-casting Locust Swarm in that build. With Wormwood you never have to cast it.
Iunno mate, you get a fair share of mana with soul harvest and grave injustice, I'm currently hard casting it and while it is somewhat bad at times, I'm farm from good gear or high paragons for resource cost reduction.
>tfw creating a barb was a mistake
Fuuuuuuck, I should have gone wizard or dh like I initially planned. Now I'm stuck with a BiS Geared Character/Build I no longer enjoy after 35ish hours of gameplay.
Grifts are fine and all but for the love of god I cant do normal rifts not nearly as fast as I'd like. You fuck up your Charges and just stand there.
>tfw sader released
>set for life
why the fuck do you faggots always race for shrines even when i explicitly put [Nemesis Braces] in chat all the fucking time
get the fuck out of my games and let me have my damn deaths breaths. fuck.
Here is the kind doctor that gave me a fever and some Morphine
it works and it's fucking retarded
>whites die from horsing through them on t10
>blues die on the second barrel
200k thorns, 54% cdr with some more rolls i can do but scared to mess up an ancient and very bad items all around
will have to drop 20% phys on neck to get a socket
so is seismic slam viable? i fucking hate WW and raekor so its a toss up between hota and seismic slam. I know hota is probably miles better but eh. i saw people pushing high as fuck GR's with it in 2.3
Alright, stupid question time.
I've heard that Pig Sticker plus Hack cubed is the way to go for thorns crusader build since the attack speed is ridiculous, but I just found myself an ancient Hack that rolled rather well and has higher attack speed than the Pig Sticker I've been holding on to. Have I misunderstood something?
you want to cube blood brother and if you can choose between a perfect pig sticker and a perfect hack you take the pig sticker
but since your hack seems to be better than your pig sticker you use the hack
atk speed is the most important thing
T10 is doable with Condemn. The sword and shield got nice chunks of condemn damage boost. The only problem is the toughness and even that's only when doing GRs above 50. Though I have shit unoptimized gear for it.
Clears T10 really nice though. Don't even have an ancient BoP.
I think there's also a new Bowmen Phalanx build around but I don't have the gear to test it out yet.
Yeah I just tried that build. I had the gear for it, but it lacks survivability even when running a blood brother in the weapon slot. Not sure what to do about that, I'm already coming close to death in t10 often. Guess it's neat for nephalem rift farming cause it's so fast
some faggot exactly same as you joined us and kept whining why are we keeping popping shrines. what the fuck are you thinking? we're not going to wait for five minutes until some faggot sheathes that fucking shrine in his shitter
It's a bit on the squishy side. I have something like 40m toughness with Akarat's on. You need to stay moving and use Vacuum for cc to stay alive. Akkhan's Addendum is pretty great in the cube, that way you can pick an additional rune for Akarat's Champion.
Once you get the hang of it you shouldn't die on T10.
>tfw thought it had 9 cdr
what do i do with it now
i have shit gear and im sure that sweeping winds is like 90% of my damage right now, im doing ok on torment 2 so far though
question is whether I swap for the set neck bonus or keep my current neck for the +dmg
Firebird is such shit
I've managed to solo up to 50 and I think I could push at least 55 but I'm still missing traveller's pledge
at this point I'm kind of torn
I can spend mats to cube up an In Geom and Wand of Woh for some speed farming
or I can keep trying to cube up a traveller's pledge
what do /vg/?
im getting really shit drops soloing stuff on my monk but i managed to come across a bunch of % cold dmg so I did a build focused on cold damage and freezing and its ridiculously fun even though im still a pleb
are there are any viable cold dmg builds for monk end game?
Some guy I know just told me that removing the auction house was the worst thing that could have happened to d3 and it's the reason everyone gave up on it.
He went on to say a game needs some way for people to make a profit off of it (whether that's selling shit in game for cash or like in esports where you get tournament cash) for it to truly be great. He said look at all the great games like "lol" or "csgo" or "WoW" to see why you'll never get a big population without money.
your friend is an idiot
the point he is poorly trying to make is that an in-game economy based on player interaction can keep a playerbase active
but none of those games he gave as an example are actually thriving because of the economy, those are just meta things inside of them. The majority of people in CSGO play the fucking game, not the steam market.
the auction house was an attempt to do that (and to pocket the money people would spend on those old sites like d2legit), but not a good one.
i think player trading coming back in some form could be a good thing, but not anything like what it was before
a cosmetic-only trading thing could be neat. all of steam's F2P games have meta markets where players find and sell cosmetics which I guess you could workshop to fit into diablo
or a way to buy/sell DBs for gold. Or buy/sell grift keys for gold. especially now with empowered grifts and ancient stat boosting these could be pretty cool
i'd like a way to buy cube essences of stuff. like if someone had a furnace they could sell it to another player, but not the actual weapon only the cubed essence of it. could be a neat way to get things like that faster for your builds without actually giving you raw power.
>the point he is poorly trying to make is that an in-game economy based on player interaction can keep a playerbase active
No see I thought he was talking specifically about in game economies at first ( and I think he was).
But then he started talking about how all great multiplayer games (again his words not mine) like starcraft or even fighting games have things like tournies with prize pools with bring in population and (again his words) a population is what makes a game great.
Like I thought he was talking about purely in game economies at first but he literally means you have to be able to make real money off of a game or else nobody will play it.
but the reason that people play and still play WoW/CSGO/League is how easy it is to get into those games, their replayability and how long they've been out
no one has ever played WoW for the money lmao
making real money is something you can do when a trading economy exists
but he's still comparing the wrong kind of games. that shit doesn't translate well to this genre.
tell him to look at path of exile
having frequent events/challenges where people compete to find the most efficient builds reinvigorates interest
the only money to be had in D3 as it is now with all this account bound stuff is streaming
or pick the one that doesn't suck ass
it's the wizard
monk is complete ass and unless you like being the little bitch of the group, running around like a fairy healing people, don't play that shit class
>punches things to death
>several days later
>lol why arent u paragon 2k with everything ancient kanaid git gut scrub LMOA
most of the serious trading was done on d2jsp.
i agree, d2's implementation of trading was not an example of a good trade system.
the strength of d2's trading was in the itemization and from that itemization, the community was able to make an attractive trade game around it
d3's itemization is piss poor and the gameplay mechanics wouldn't support it if even it weren't meaning that part of the reason why trading in d2 was so good is because of how the itemization uniquely applied to various game mechanics such as various pvp mechanics, uber gearing, mf'ing and general end game gearing.
not only is d3's itemization overly simplistic and thus wouldn't make up a very good trade game but the scope of the gameplay mechanics are extremely limiting, that being, grifting and nothing else.
If I am for some reason hunting for a specific lego, is Hope of Cain worth it?
I haven't been playing long but there strikes me as only two real avenues to pursue equipment beyond grifts. Those are Kadala and Cube crafting. If I'm wrong please let me know so I don't waste any more effort than I have to.
You embrace the fact that crusader has like 4 or 5 builds in top10 on standard solo. On top of that there's a gazillion viable builds.
If only they had buffed Akkhan's survivability a bit it could be up there with the others pushing 75+.
I guess I was also asking which one also moves around the fastest, but it sounds like Monk is just too reliant on the party to make it worth it. Wizard it is.
>Kadala and Cube crafting
You listed the two reasonable ways to gain a specific item. Still quite a bit of RNG involved. Just try to enjoy the game and you'll eventually get the drops you're looking for.
If wow is pvp then d3 is pvp as well. Not in the sense of players fighting and killing each other but in the sense of a competitive spirit of "who can clear X faster
Nobody gives a fuck about wow's pvp pvp except for cod kids.
I say we bring not only trading back, but also the auction house. Crafting mats are still account bound so you can't bot farm them and sell but items aren't bound. The catch is that only applies to non ancient items. Ancients are bound and you can't trade them. That way you can have people spend money if they really want to get some item(s) for their builds, but they don't get to buy their way into best in slot gear. Maybe even disable the leaderboards for people for the duration of the season they bought their items in.
d2 did not have amazing itemization
though a lot of new fun builds for gimmicky fun became possible with some of those new runewords
in d2, your character was the source of your power. a naked character could still navigate around maps
in d3, your items are the source of your power. and to make things worth, you have no power at all in increasing your character's power in a meaningful way outside of like paragon 600+
d2 didn't require you have amazing gear to beat the game. d2 knew it was a game based on grinding and had so many great options for various grinds. d3 tried to pretend it was something else and failed.
still, I'm glad a friend convinced me to buy RoS last season (for $20). way better than vanilla d3 was. the new seasons get my friends playing again for 2-3 weeks then we get bored and move on to other things again.
If they were to bring trading back they'd have to reset the gold on all accounts and nerf droprates to like 5% of what they are currently.
The current design works. There's no need for trading because you can get everything you need with a few hours of investment.
This is as far as I'm gonna go for the night, time to hit the sack.
Can't believe how fast this season is going even for casuals like me.
>d2 did not have amazing itemization
amazing as it pertains to having the best trade in the genre? you bet it was. tell me what game has amazing itemization then. go on, we'll wait.
Sup faggots and bitches, I've got a somewhat interesting snowflake sader build cooking using the legacy of nightmares set.
The shit in pic related is mostly random ancient legos because I'm a poorfag but the itea is to proc heaven's fury a shitload with Ivory Tower in the cube. Using judgement and justice/blessed hammer with the belt to stun shit for the increased damage from the bracers of fury. the sheild increases heaven's fury damage the more it hits enemies, so when ivory tower procs everything dies.
Needs shitloads of CDR and block/defenses so I'm sorting that out. Probably aquila's cuirass on chest and justice lantern in cube.
I just literally threw this shit together from trash and I seem to melt t6 pretty alright, if a bit slow. Probably not a high grift pushing build, but it's pretty damn fun. I was wondering if you lot had any ideas to make it better/more interesting.
I couldn't tell you because D2 is the only one I played more than a few hours
But most of the items were garbage/useless compared to the top options
but it definitely had good itemization, as in you could achieve the same effect a variety of ways. you could just use a shaco or you could keep rolling for a +2/+3 FCR circlet. and while you're working on getting either, a peasant crown (or whatever that runeword +skill hat was) could take you really far into the game
I guess I'm just complaining that there were too many uniques which looked great but were useless to equip
D2 really was an amazing game and the synergy/runeword updates were fucking great
>literally nobody is talking about the Arachyr set
>must still be worthless
How the fuck do they create a new set thats awful and not even fix it in the following major patch?
Why even fucking bother?
Can this be saved? Is it still better for leapquake even with lower dmg roll?
red or green i have no idea which is better my crit chance is only like 28.5%
Reroll vit to damage %
You lucky cunt I've gotten 25 of these blades and none of them have been ancient
Sorry to hear that. I hope you get it soon.
I had similar luck with BK weapons last season. One of the fuckers took me a really long time to get. The other took several times longer.
