I'd Nuke That Ass Edition
>Tips for new players
You can change vocations at level 10 at the Gran Soren inn or BBI.
Character appearance can be changed later on.
You don't need pawns, but they help.

>all these newfags who ask too many questions and don't play the game
So this....is the top rated pawn.....on PC.....
Is this the oldfag meme thread?
It seems for all their hardware boasts, they're just as degenerate as consoleplayers.
because its from the pirate version, and it doesnt make any sense for her to be on top because she most cost so much RC that only other people coming from the pirate version may have hired her.
Also stats / bestiary / level probably has something to do with the overall rating.
Does anyone have sliders for that one buff pawn with the white hair, eye patch and is a ranger? She's posted often and I really like her, I need to copy her like the filthy no originality pleb I am.
>Playing game since 12:30
>Take a break to cook dinner
>Wait a second, no achievements
>Achievements are now active
>I'm doing the wyrmhunt quests
>Everything from leaving Cassardis to that point isn't marked as completed
>Will have to restart the game to get them, or hopefully get them in NG+
Not a huge thing, just a bit irritating.
started a new game
how'm I doin
Reminder for newfriends who don't know how to read wikis:
>why is guardian/nexus terrible
>what do inclinations do
>what inclinations should my pawn have
Guardian has the pawn stand next to you and only really attacks when you get attacked then goes back to doing nothing, Nexus is basically the same but for other pawns. That's why they're bad, they conflict with each other and even on their own they don't do anything useful.
Scather promotes targeting the strongest enemy first, increases likelyhood of climbing and close range fighting.
Medicant is obvious, focuses on healing and avoiding direct combat.
Mitigator targets weak enemies first, spellcasters will use spells with bigger AoEs more often. Basically crowd control.
Challenger focuses on troublesome enemies like ranged attackers or magick users first, prioritizes ranged attacks if you have them.
Pioneer is also obvious, has your pawn move ahead of you and scout.
Acquisitor is useless as pawns grab shit anyways when out of combat, this just makes them disengage to grab loot they see instantly.
Utilitarian is a sort of wildcard, it prioritizes the pawn's known tactics and enemy knowledge, skills, etc. Also encourages grappling as a fighter/warrior, buffing as a Mage and spell synching as a sorcerer.
Holy shit people are actually playing.
>game was working fine earlier
>try to transfer my save
>suddenly the game crashes every time I try to open it
Why the fuck is this happening
facepaint does alright to draw attention away from horrible expressions
also r8 my arisen/how i do/etc
which one's best?
why do you hate my pawn?
why are pantsu retarded?
Decided to check it out. Lots of strong goblins and wolves. Apparently the grim reaper spawned and 1 shot one of my pawns and then vanished
Think I'm gonna go ahead and leave now
So the 'trick' to having a succesful pawn, aside from inclinations, is to have the fewest skills equipped ?
I have a mage pawn like everyone else ( I imagine ) and I already equipped all 6 slots.
The problem is that all of them seem useful.
But I know if she gets rented maybe she wont be very useful.
she has : high ingle, high levin, fire buff
heal , halidom, grapnel
she does use everything, but for example when fighting a cyclop she will use both ingle and levin even though she already acknowledged multiple times that lightning was efficient against them.
Sounds aughtistic I know but I'm having a hard time relaxxing and playing the game, too worried about pawn's stuff.
>Getting to Gran Soren at level 11.
Fuck. That's a restart. Can I change my vocation at level 10 at BBI? I feel like it'd be easier to just grind to level 10 then do the hydra head quest.
but that will make her guardian anon
>added 300 people from the pawn thread on steam
>no one has rented my pawn yet
It's just poorly described.
Mount the process
Tick the box in CE
Tab into the game
Go to the main menu, as in the start menu, not the esc menu ingame
Hover over any menu option
Hold down shift and control
Press enter, don't click
Worked for me
tfw when you try to create a delicious brown elf pawn but fail miserably... Kill me
Damn, apparently the checkpoint I made at the inn before I set out on the hydra escort gets overwritten once your arrive at Gran Soren and get quest completion exp.
Well I guess I either live with my entire build being ruined by this 1 extra level of fighter or restart the entire game. FML.
I dunno how to mess with google docs.
But, here's her sliders. I think her brow color is marked incorrectly, but it should be obvious what the right color is (her hair color)
better resolution and higher FPS but I've played the game so fucking much that even that wouldn't make me return it. I just bought it to support the team and to see how my pawnfu looks in 4K
Will you hire her? Challenger/Uti Sorceress?
I managed to remove the watermark from screenshots, enjoy.
I think that might be because it's one of the shorter / rounder faces available instead of the long faces.
Now that you mention it, she does look like she could come straight out of How to train your Dragon or whatever.
sorry if this is a stupid question but how can you see how many times your pawn has been hired?
It does exactly what the designers set out to do: reward people who want to put in the effort, while making them good enough for lazy faggots who don't. You have the inclination potions, verbal commands and the tactics chair as alternatives. Quit your whining or quit the game.
Would you rent?
If no, how do I improve this?
So how do I whore out my generic bleach blonde pawn with 0 skills? Is she just automatically available to all friends or literally everyone in the world?
they really expect me to go ALL THE WAY over there for 3000 exp?
How about with this paint?
Gonna be a strider.
>Arisen looks like a monkey
just fuck my shit up
Does anybody else have this bug? The 4th row from the eye color menu has no colors at all.
which all these cool vocations, what is the relevancy of the basic vocations?
fighter: tanky guy
strider: agile guy who does good melee damage and can switch to ranged if needed
mage: support who can heal and buff
that about right? why else would I say in these vocations?
That's probably about right. Striders can put out shit loads of damage with the right skills
The other classes focus on different stuff
Warrior is based around crowd control and knocking people around
Ranger is range focused, not so good in melee
Sorceror is insane with damage and big spells. Definitely better than mage in every way
Jaws are overrated on women.
She looks like a qt m8. A bit generic tho as I literally have the samish character here >>128697572
How much make up is she wearing? Perhaps go for a lighter tone of lipstick?
Whoever made these two pawns, thank you for making me laugh.
>all these Guts pawns that are like 7 and a half feet tall
Guts is like 6 foot 3, isn't he?
One of those pigments is multi-purpose and does eyes as well, I forget which one (though it will tell you in-game)
They're super unnatural colors so only for edgelords and snowflakes or if you're cosplaying something.
Are Mage pawns any good or should I depend solely on potions/herbs for cure?
You have curatives for that. Mage healing doesn't scale well at all. Sorc is pretty much a direct upgrade the further into the game you go.
And pawns can't be assassins, mystic knights or Magick Archers
I'm rolling a Fighter for my pawn and need a little help with the build.
That's what I have right now, I was mainly focusing on getting her defenses up? Am I on the right track? Any tips?
Get the Prescience aug from Fighter, the +20% Str aug from Warrior and the +20% mag aug from Sorcerer, would be considered the essentials. Otherwise just read up on all the augments and see which others you like. Don't focus too much on blue or red stats, go balanced.
There will eventually be a mod that allows Warriors to have 6 skills like everyone else
This makes me the happiest. A roll or even a way to block with our giants swords would make the Warrior class in my eyes a 10/10
I don't know what it is with character creation, I always end up making an angry potato-quality lesbian.
>mfw game runs silky smooth on a 2500k
Anyone have issues playing fullscreen?
My game stutters badly in fullscreen but perfectly fine in windowed, wondering if there is a way to fix, or hide the border of the window since i don't normally play bordered.
They're good. Weapon buffs rack up nearly as much damage as Sorc nukes over longer periods and carrying around a goddamn pharmacy is a pain in the ass. Ignore the autists thinking they need to "streamline" their teams in a relatively easy game.
My shitty PS3 character hit 2.2k attack with sub-500 STR and had no problem with Death. People really overestimate how much base stats contribute in endgame.
Mage isn't really a class for Arisens to play as, since its more focused on support stuff. If you want to play some magic user and do damage, you should just play sorcerer. Warrior is a bit weaker because they only have 3 skills and they have problems with flying enemies, but I've heard they're still fun. Magick Archer wrecks BBI pretty hardcore.
>haven't gotten a single steam achievement yet
it's gonna be great
>Rank 4 fighter
>Go all the way through the pass killing everything, save rowland, kill this helmet ogre? still not fucking rank 5 fighter
what do you want from me game
I don't even care if its generic, dark elf sluts are just too qt to pass up
Still not a very pretty game, but it sure as hell looks a lot better on PC.
60fps is pretty nice too.
Utilitarian/Medicant will be a good way to go with her. Stick with Mage for a while to get good augments before switching to Sorcerer, and watch her behaviour as you're levelling mage until your content with it.
You'll need good Fighter tanks from the rift to keep aggro off you. Scather/Utilitarian is best set for Fighters... Scathers get out in front of you and fight shit, Utilitarians are better about using aggro management abilities. If you find a smart tank, stick with him even if he's a bit underleveled. A few levels don't make that much difference.
check the wiki
going to the pawn guild i think
When you get Hundred Kisses/Skull Splitter. Kisses can be extended by spamming the button and can be used while climbing, so get on top of an enemy's weakspot and spam the fuck out of it.
TO EVERYONE JUST STARTING MAKE SURE AFTER YOU KILL THE HYDRA YOU GO BACK TO CASSARDIS AND SPEAK TO THE CHIEF OTHERWISE YOU MISS A WHOLE QUEST LINE.
i already missed it on my xbawks NG+ so have to complete the whole game again.....
Who the fuck told me that I can play with just me and my main pawn? One of the first fucking quests in the game and we got gang raped by 6 lizards with spears. These encounters are obviously tuned for a full party, fuck you guys.
Does character sex change any interactions?
Out of the three starter vocations, which is the most engaging/active? I've picked mage but it seems really dull in the beginning.
This character creator is pretty good for such an old game. Shame about the animations though.
When do I get to make a pawn waifu?
anyone else getting doubled inputs using a ps4 controller? i'm not using ds4windows or anything, just the controller plugged in.
if i push up on the left analog stick i get right and up combined 90% of the time. didn't have this issue in the pirated version, lol. settings are identical.
you gotta use ds4windows desu and enable the "hide ds4 controller" setting
Dark elves were made for loving and monogamous relationships.
Sorry the game's making you so angry anon. Try some Penaten for that posterior. Like I said, there are three other quicker methods provided for the Halo kiddies that will get you good enough results. If that still isn't good enough, have you tried Dragon Age Cisquisition?
You know it brother
So I want to make a MA, but I keep hearing that their stat gains are garbage. I realize that minmaxing isn't necessary, especially since it'll be my first time playing the game and I won't be on hard mode, but is there anything in particular I should be doing to make sure I have non-garbage stats at least?
And fuck playing 100+ levels of another class just to make a good MA, I'd sooner just use cheat engine if it came to that.
ds4windows fucked up my control scheme in the pirated version, L1, R1, and R2 seemed to have randomly crossed inputs. just plugging in the controller worked flawlessly in the pirate version, weird that the legit game has problems.
i'll try ds4windows again though.
>Tfw 2 perseverance rings+asura armor
Rolling in DCP
All NPCs are bisexual so it doesn't affect romance. Ogres want to rape women and get extra swole the more grills in your party. Later there are gay ogres that are otherwise the same. There's a Strong Independent Lesbians Don't Need No Man bandit camp that will attack you if you're not a woman or in drag.
the pc version got all the DLC quests right?
also pls see >>128699952
Posting nsfw brown elf
Do not click this image
Mage is the worst possible starting vocation and is solely the realm of min-maxers or masochists. If you want to be a super wizard just play fighter until like level 20 or until you get good augments then swap to sorc.
if youre on win10 there is an issue where ds4windows cant get exclusive control of the controller and you gotta look through the settings for a the setting that lets you gain exclusive control again
that might be the issue
Related question: Do noticeboards spawn different quests? I went there and grabbed a quest to kill rabbits but when I reloaded the save and went back, the rabbit quest wasn't there.
Is there anywhere else I can still get that rabbit quest?
would anyone rent my ralph if i made one?
imp voice or ogre?
caster dressed in motley? or shirtless warrior?
I've been sitting on this fucking game all day because I can't think of anyone to make into my pawn because I don't have any friends or a girlfriend or anything.
Does anyone have any suggestions that are not a person you know in real life or just making a waifu? I won't start playing until I have a good pawn idea.
As a general rule you probably want Articulacy from the Sorcerer class, and stuff like Leg-Strength and Sinew from other classes as a general aid. What's more, equipment for MAs is really lacking early on.
So basically with the class system you should learn other vocations with the mind of eventually settling on MA and being better equipped when you get there.
As for stats, MA is fine all the way to 100, has perfectly decent Magick even if it's not "the best" and any shortcomings in stats are very much overshadowed by the stuff you're wearing.
Play how you want, but be smart about it. No point diving into MA and being really shitty early on when you can spend that time learning Sorceror stuff.
So, when is the six skill slot warrior mod coming out?
I have no idea what I'm doing, so I need someone who also has no idea what he is doing to share his shit pawn with me so me, Rook and my main pawn can have some company.
what do i do then? hold ctrl+shift, and then what? enter the item id from this list http://pastey.org/view/1ad51ad0 ? it does nothing at all...
also do i just paste the script file in the game's directory? is that enough?
Get Attunement from Mage and Acuity+Articulacy from Sorcerer, keep the Wyrmking's Ring when you find it. Sinew from Fighter is good if you want to be lighter and carry more stuff, Vehemence from Fighter and Clout from Warrior if you plan on using your daggers often outside of buffing. Resistance from Magick Archer gives shitloads of resistance/immunity to status effects like poison, blind, etc. Pick and choose what you want based on your play style.
I've googled reviews but very few are talking about PC optimization. I played this game for over 400 hours on my PS3 and I just wanna know before I buy this up on steam: does it actually run well on PC? Is this real?
How long does summoning a pawn take? Christ.
Is it just me or is the game's audio a tad low? I had to crank up my headphones whereas every other game i've had to turn my volume down to around 30%.
even at 100% the volume is only passable
>No you won't get the achievements you missed.
I shouldn't care but I do.
>Just wanted some opinions on my sliderfu.
Then say that. Although I think you realize it looks fine and were probably fishing for backpats. This is 4chan nigga, not somewhere friendly.
I asked on /v/ but no one responded. Can someone please try to clearly explain to me how weight and height affects characters and if it makes a big difference? Can I have a tiny warrior that weighs the same as a feather, for example? Or an assassin fatboy?
Is there sliders for this character? I can't find the right face and such. If not, can anyone tell what face shape it is?
Rate my Mononoke Pawn, fucked up the hair color tho
Oh god PLEASE tell me I can change the voice of my pawn at some point in the game
I made a
lolipawn and quickly scrolled through the voices and picked one that sounded childish without really listening to it, and in game my pawn sounds like fucking garbage.
They literally took a female voice and raised the pitch a fuckton in a cheap audio editing program and it's extremely bad
Man I'm so glad I can change my vocation later without any problems
after always playing strider/archer on PS3 I tried out caster on PC and god damn I suck so much at targeting while casting
Only newfags use newfag. There's really no reason to be this fucking salty that your general isn't up to your standards and you're already complaining. Just calm down, you probably think you're helping.
How'd you fix the warrior vocation, /ddg/?
>bump up attack power and knockdown+stagger capabilities of all longswords and warhammers
I wouldn't even care about the three skills limitation as long as a serious buff were to happen to the weapons. I mean, a fully GF'd Virge of Madness is almost as strong as a Bitter End of the same upgrade level, and that's fucking ridiculous. It's a fun vocation, one of my favourites in fact, but the warrior's got next to nothing going for him in the endgame.
So where would the game tell me if my fully equiped lvl 15 buff/healer mage was used?
Confirmed for having shit taste
You can tell what their Arisens get up to
how the hell do i get this things to work ingame? pressing ctrl+shift in the main menu does jack shit.
what am i missing?
>can run ds2 fine
>have to play on 800x600 res and everything else on low to have a ALMOST solid 30fps
>level 150 pawns with some late-game equipment outside of the pawn guild
Oh well, guess no one wants to use my dispelling, healing mage with tripple weapon buff then ;_;
>tfw no pawn hires
I got the inclinations right and everything
If you hadn't jumped/got hit off that's a shortcut to the bottom, you don't take fall damage while climbing enemies
>was going to do that
>heading down the stairs toward the ogre
>he turns and runs off the edge before I can climb on
Cheeky fucking ape
Can confirm it works better than using the DS4. I got weird input issues with the DS4, which I didn't get using the DS3. So get that PS button layout from the OP and get Arisenin'
It's early. Lots of people are still figuring things out. Can you imagine randoms even figuring out pawns?
Use /ddg/ as a steady source of hires, treat extras as a bonus.
>Are you fucking retarded? Nvidia has built-in downsampling
I am in fact retarded.
My current card is pretty old and this built-in downsampling was never something I got to use, so...
Anyways, have you tried that, then? Does it behave well with DD?
holy shieeeet just killed my first golem, after a long fight i thought it was over when i finally broke the last crystal, i start walking away and suddenly hear a roar, its still alive, red and steaming, it rushes me and grabs me almost instantly killing me, but i pop all my strongest potions just because im not doing that shit again hell naw niggu, its shooting lasers like a gatling gun but i manage to survive but holy hell that was unexpected, i love it.
>go to get a new mage pawn
>bring up the first five on the list
>hired some warrior guy on level 7
>he's with me for 13 levels already
>baits and holds enemies constantly, reliably tanks while i'm shitting thunder and spooky skulls from behind
Is there even a need to hire higher-level pawns if you find one with such a good AI?
>he doesn't know that old fags would already be at end game after 12 hours
we did this shit on ps3 countless time I wouldn't doubt shitters would cheat but it isn't impossible considering 90% of the bugs are still in the game
Gee I dunno you tell me
No, honestly. If you find a good pawn, keep it until the pawn is too underleveled to contribute. It's more important overall.
That or challenger/utilitarian or challenger/mitigator.
The Secret of Metamorphosis in the cheat engine table won't work for me.
I load the table, then open the .exe, then activate the Secret of Metamorphism, then hold ctrl and shift and click an option on the main menu, but it just does what it would normally do.
What am I doing wrong?
