The reason low pop servers suck is mostly because they don't get very many new players and cliques just settle into their core without caring to invite more people into them.

Medium pops usually have a steady influx of new players enough such that there are plenty of new people to interact with.

High pops are just like low pops, except there are TOO MANY people and cliques just don't want to invite anyone they don't already know/trust.

Well, Beast Tribe quests you can get from the Grand Company Headquarters of each of the three major factions. They mostly give negligible exp these days because they were designed for people levelling from something like level 43 to 50. One's for leveling crafting (Ixal) and has no involvement in this.

There's also the Vanu beast tribe questline that unlocks when you hit level 60 and is useful for levelling alts since it level synchs.

When they brought out Anima they made it so that four of the original Beast Tribes at max rank also gave out tokens. I'm not sure why, I guess it was to help people at lower levels get help on the FATEs or to give people something else to do?

Anyway the Sylphs, Kobolds, Sahagin and Amal'jaa Beast Tribes give out tokens. 13 tokens will let you buy an unidentifiable items, which is Seed, Ore, Shell and Bone, respectively. The Vanu also give out tokens but you need 18 but can take your pick of the four options. For the Anima weapon's final form you need 20 of each of those things along with some other stuff. It's a big grind and I'm about to finish it after just over a month of doing Beast Tribe quests, Roulettes and Maps.

Worth mentioning is when you get the original five Beast Tribes to their highest ranks (4 for the original four, 7 for the Ixal) you get a cool quest that will boost them all to Rank 8, gives you a dorky mask, the title "The Negotiator" and alternate versions of their minions.

The quest itself is pretty awesome, especially at its climax. Well worth the effort put into it I say.

There are, and there aren't.

Mouseover macros exist, but they are worse than just not using a macro at all because they can't queue, so you lose fractions of a second on your casts, literally gaining less from spell speed stat, and losing globals over a fights duration.

And the only way to get a self cast modifier working is to put skills on a hidden bar and bind them to your modifier button, so like heal on E then put heal ona separate hidden UI bar and bind that skill to Alt+E to mimick the effect.

It's pretty shit desu.

The main storyline makes it feel more like a real final fantasy RPG rather than an MMO.

But the game in general fits into pretty much any generic mmo trope out there.

That was one of my biggest complaints about it in beta and turned me off from the game entirely.

It's hard but to really get into it, you gotta push through those early levels enough to give it a chance. It starts to become pretty good eventually, but it's easy for the early content to just turn someone off entirely.

In the end, it's still an MMO. But the storyline stuff is pretty cool.

Question about DoT mechanics.

How do buffs and debuffs work with their damage? Does each tick calculate individually or is the damage determined at the time the DoT is applied?

When more than one DoT is active it seems as though both stack and tick at the same time rather than having two different timers(though the debuffs themselves are still on individual timers.) Am I seeing that correctly?

I didn't realize how spoiled I was on tera as a healer until I started playing the healer classes on this game.

A good tank can carry an entire dungeon if he knows know to best keep himself alive, he can even carry the dps too if he's bretty good.

A good healer can also carry by doing tons of dps while also not letting bad tanks and bag dps die. Worth their weight in gold, great white mages and scholars.

And a good dps can carry a bad one since there are always more than one.

It all depends on your skill level for the job you're playing.

Aurum Vale isn't really hard per se. It's just pretty arduous and feels like much more of a slog.

I had a hell of a time doing SV the first time. Our tank was so shit, I don't think he knew what a cooldown was. Spam healing could barely keep him alive on trash pulls, and if anyone else needed a heal, they could forget about it because trying to literally causes tank death.

My best or favorite was when leveling arcanist going through Sastasha, when we got to first boss tank said "My finger smells REALLY bad!" then left the party.
