You know, I just realized that because hasbro jewed the US over with their offset medal tracks, you can't put the medal in the watch upside down and get the "Soujanaiyo!" message, whatever they translated it to in english.

It says "Uh uh uh!" and you can get it.

When taking a medal out, don't take it out all the way. Try to pop it back inside after pulling it down slightly.

Also it'll say it for no reason at all sometimes. Since the medal has no fucking wiggle room, you have to push it in exactly right or you get the error.

Oh yay, new fresh thread. Time to see opinions and stuff on my current team as I am slowly going through late game.
I just got my rank S watch and beat all the item boss yokai(whatever you want to call them) for the items like the hair clip, frost scarf thing, devil gem, ect. and have yet to do anything else with post game outside of that.
Current team:
Cadable lv 57 w/ Cicada Sword
Blizzaria lv 40 w/ Ice Ring
Reversa lv 48 w/ Heavenly Sash
Cruncha lv 34 w/ Thick Specs
Shogunyan lv 39 w/ Tough Bell

So besides needing to level up Goldenyan how is my team looking overall in preparation for whatever else lies in wait for me as far as the rest of the post game?

I guess it depends on what you lose for those equips. Venoct has decent STR so using one that makes him even weaker would be a detriment when he does decide to physically attack.

Most attacking youkai i rank their stat importance as speed first, their primary attacking stat second, followed by their secondary attacking stat. For youkai like Venoct that can be tricky but if you really just want his technique than i'd say go for the Brainy and Speed equip.

So guys, how do I make sure my guys are properly trained? I'm just not sure if doing 100 or so for effective type match ups and stuff is normal at level 45. Or which should use spirit and such.

Type match ups arent really all that crucial in this game, since physical and spirit hurt a lot regardless of type. The only time it makes a difference is in direct weakness or resistances where you get hurt a fuck ton or barely do anything depending.

"Properly trained" isn't really a thing with Yo-kai. This isn't as similar to Pokemon as people keep saying it is. You can't influence them yourself outside of changing their attitude/fighting style and soft-resetting like an autist for base stats.

Besides Hungramps and Komasan, every Yo-kai he's come in contact with has fucked him and then just decided to hang out with him or became his friend. So he doesn't really know how to handle a Yo-kai that isn't trying to bang him or doesn't have something else going on, like Hungramps taking his food.

Finished my team leveling for the day; got Goldenyan to level 36, Cruncha to 35, Shogunyan to 40 and Cadable to 60. I now should probably try to find a good solid way to get money/xp instead of using passwords for orbs and with my next update on any progress I make toward prepping for the next dungeon I will post any note worthy things I get from the crank o kai(I ended up using a few passwords to get an excitement and 5 star coin along with a charm coin).

Yes, but there's a bunch of trees for it to be in so you just save at the entrance to the Abandoned Mine, go up the top-right path, go down the stairs, go back on your bike and go near the stairs that lead to the shrine, then turn around and go up the left side back to the Abandoned Mine. If there's no S rank you quit back to title and reload.

That's how I do every single encounter and rare there that I'm looking for.

Not him, but I was hunting Daiz a couple hours back and it took like two hours to finally get the guy. Half the encounters were the stupid horse thing and thanks to there being only four patches of grass it took forever for the encounter. Doesn't help he's basically impossible to see in the finder and keep up with due to all the foliage.

you have alternate methods to get those souls instead of aiming for rare bugs.
There's some odd currency you can use to exchange for them instead (1600 JP). I'd assume you can sell enough bugs to accumulate said currency.
Fishing is no longer RNG, but is more like actual fishing. Rares/special are identified with a sparkle in the water

I've had to reset the game twice as well since I stopped getting spawns somehow. Haven't caught it yet, and in two of the attempts Signibble tried joining. Is there any better place than past the A rank door? You get double the chances and the only downside is the one behind the wall.

The Nigawarai are an ugly race of long nosed troll-like Yokai that feed off of negative emotions and illness. Their name literally means "Bitter Smile". The Nigawarai was spawned from Urban Legends originating from the Muromachi period.

The Nigawarai's abilities are directly connected to it's diet, their venomous claws cause illness and bearing witness to a Nigawarai's smile will cause you to feel great feelings of spite and bitterness.

Fill up the collectopedia until you get Dandoodle or Elder Bloom for a healer, they're both legendaries. Dandoodle has a 999hp heal soultimate, Elder Bloom has a resurrection soultimate. Certain Souls/equipment help increase the odds as to what kind of attack a yo-kai performs, but that's about it.

A decent number of bosses also use the pin more creatively, along with using the Type Zero Watch to poke loafing/inspirited yo-kai to get goodies or do damage directly.

At the end of the day though yo-kai still fight on their own depending on the AI you set them with.
