Marxs team was discussed sort of before. Aegislash obviously representing his fuck you sword. Agron was suggested and I think it would be cool if he had an Umbreon, for his little cat thing. It evolved through being his only friend during g the numerous attempts on his life growing up. I also think all the Nohr royals on horses would have a Ponyta/Rapidash. Maybe a Furfrou as well, since the pokedex says they used to guard the royal family.

No one cares about blades. It's all about the 1-2 range. Even in Awakening, the 1-2 range is good even with the damage nerf. Fates changed things up, but it doesn't matter because Swords get shit on by the stat debuff weapons, which you don't want at all. Plus their accuracy still doesn't matter, on top of having the lowest MT of all weapons. They need a rehaul badly.

They're strictly worse than Paladins and Berserkers now. There's no reason to use them aside from hating a beast weakness because Paladins do what they do with more movement. Berserkers just shit on them offensively, even the skill difference is slight when the strength difference is massive.

I don't mind Berserkers being great at hitting shit. I suppose I just prefer when Berserkers are low skill, high other offenses. 32 skill isn't low at all. I feel like Awakening somewhat balanced them, their low skill seemed a bit overkill, but their offenses were crazy otherwise. For Paladins, you know they're never gonna make them worse. Even in Awakening they're pretty good. They're almost always pretty good, even if they have certain flaws in games due to design, like FE12 or RD.

True, Paladins were fantastic even on FE12, a game where Spd caps were a big deal. Having absurd movement, two useful weapon ranks and being Camus really helps a class shine. Same deal with Dracoknights, even with their shitty Spd cap, they were still amazing due to utility.

You know, looking back I really like the class balance in the DS games. Heroes being shit was the only meh thing about it, but every other class had points where they could really shine at least once.
