Literally either gets a top player to write the script for him or does one of his LP-tier videos on FG/Tournament mode
Y'all ready for this? Only one more month, senpaitachi.
Or else nothing, but theres no point in friendlies or in serious matches. Its just a waste of time for the person killing themselves on purpose. You learn from making mistakes, no one learns anything from 'muh honor'.
reflexes tier list: "Part experience, part results, part perceived potential"
Looks about right at the top. Might move Rosa up above Ryu. Certainly I'd move Pikachu above Ryu just because I think Pikachu has an advantageous matchup against Ryu specifically.
Also, Wario higher than C-Falks, Yoshi and Cloud? Dumb. Also I'd probably move Dark Pit up into C.
Do not let Nana die ever. Practice your SoPo anyway. Stay grounded when you can during the neutral, aerial mobility isn't that great but if you need to fight air2air, up air beats nearly everything above you and bair is pretty cool. wavedash jab grab still catches people in the year 2016. Or just wavedash down smash. On fast fallers, everything that pops the opponent up could be grabbed a from at low percent. Hitting with a desync blizzard is free. If you can't wobble, dthrow and let nana dair unless you want to kill in which case let nana up smash. In general though, figure out how to setup wobbles because those are free stocks.
Optimize your missile spam, your missile should come our right before you hit the ground. You can approach with them. Don't forget to CC down smash/down tilt because that always works for some reason. Keep a charge shot ready when against spacies for when you get an up throw. (if they DI behind use bair) Against most other characters you could use down throw too. Always up B OoS. Poke with wavedash foward or backwards ftilt. Punish bad smash attacks on shield with grabs.
Literally down smash.
Throw turnips for fun. Chaingrab spacies. Dash attack fast fallers. Use another down smash. Float cancel your aerials. Low bairs are good. Gimp bad recoveries. Down smash again. idk i suck with peach

Fair question. I dunno it just feels like Yoshi has the potential. His movement is weird and janky, he's got armor, good damage, a powerful spike, can kill with upair, I THINK grab setups. (I'm not a Yoshi player) I dunno. I'm going on personal instinct.
I was looking through old Nsider posts when I found one of these. Did any of you guys have stuff like this?
I'm kekking at how different your opinions are from mine.
Here, have some of my shit opinions.
It's funny because you've got high level players like Hbox, PewPewU and Wobbles having fun with Smash 4 and keeping an open mind but the streamboars who don't play will endlessly talk shit.
Is there a single smash character that can defeat Mario? And I'm not talking about fire flower Mario or metal Mario, I'm talking about SM64 Mario with enough accumulated speed to travel through parallel universes.
Good games, Lamato. Really fun, I always appreciate the toon link practice. There were a few intense games there, but I gotta get ready for my day in a moment.
Also this is for you
I don't think she's bad and neither is puff as they both have things they can do to beat any character, but other characters just have more options. Palu can't do much against rush down once someone gets in because her moves are pretty slow, DI'ing her dthrow properly and not airdodging like a moron already makes her kills hell to get, and while bair is great to beat other aerials it can be blocked and punished fairly easy. I don't know how ledge cancel is that relevant in making her better against the rest of the cast other than a surprise during a set if they didn't know you could do that.
And to add, you are the first person to ever instantly grab Pac's fruits and instantly throw them back, I guess I shouldnt expect differently from someone who mains a character that specializes in pickupable items.
I dont want to think about how much id struggle if everyone could do that reliably.
Had a lot of fun myself. Your Pacman is still overwhelming as shit.
>Getting hit by DDDs non-threatening bair every time
YOU CAN'T KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH THIS
nice memeapp btw
oh i will
just so i can win again
Shield damage modifiers are not calculated in shield stun or else marth's uncharged shield breaker would be 19 frames of shieldstun, but you can test yourself and see that it's only 7 frames.
those wavedash games people announced they started development
nothing to show for, just stated that they're doing things
>TX and MDVA in first round of crews
>winner has to play Tristate
Man I want my region to do well but even if they beat MDVA they don't stand a chance of making it any further.
Trela is Trela and Karna did pretty well at TBH5. I haven't seen much of The Wall but he did manage to piss off Denti that one time. Other than that it's pretty much nothing, RIP Texas.
Favorite vidya OST is the original Animal Crossing
Half the roster
This whole soundtrack https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ugo6ASPVu9g
aren't these the guys who piss on DFW occasionally? They're all pretty good but Trela's gonna carry the team.
Ryu, Alph, Pac-Man
Bowser, Shulk and Little Mac
Diddy/Peach/everyone that isn't FE or a plumber or Cloud
I wouldn't say it's my favorite ever but I'm feeling nostalgic.
I've always thought that one sounded like a Tales game song. Still great.
X's aren't as good for sure but it's been growing on me pretty strong lately. Running around the jungle yelling "ONE BY OOOOOONEEEEEE SEE THE SUUUUUNNNNN" and shit.
Is it bad my mindset is slowing becoming "You're in my way" when I play competitively.
It's gonna be Corrin
Little Mac, Kirby
Any opponent. I usually play for fun and stuff, but I'm becoming so jaded that I see most opponents as just someone in my way rather than a fun challenge.
I think I need a break.
Are you a competitive person? Is your goal to win regardless of the opponent? Do you want to be a better player? Do you not have fun when playing seriously? You decide if you need a break.
When I play in bracket or something i'm aiming to win and I have fun by playing with that mindset, win or lose. If that's not fun to you, don't do it. If you enjoy playing like that, go for it.
mains are yellow
secondaries are red
for fun are green
this text isnt.
It's way to hard to point a favorite song from videogames when it is the only thing I listen too but have this one
Maybe. it's the same game but with slightly nerfed controls. I kick everyone of my friends who are into competitive here using my 3ds as controller so its not impossible
Walk towards him, shield the lasers and grab the gyro. Once you have the gyro, smash throw it straight up and get up close to deal damage.
I'm not sure what Monado arts you should use but I would say either Buster or Speed would be your friend. Especially speed as this allows you to bypass the projectiles much easier while also poking him at range.
So I started maining Pacman a while back.
But I'm kinda realizing that, while I'm okay at setups using the hydrant and fruit and shit effectively, I'm not good with him otherwise.
Any tips? Setups, good melee/close moves/chains/whatever?
Wish his grab wasn't so slow...
>Especially speed as this allows you to bypass the projectiles much easier while also poking him at range.
Speed art lowers your jump height and ROB's projectiles are good at covering ground. His laser gets some vertical but mostly at a distance. Jump art lets you short hop over his zoning and approaching ROB from above, particularly with nair since it combos and the hitbox starts below you. Also Jump art does not lower your knockback or damage so nair stays -4 vs OoS options. Just be careful when ROB has gyro in hand
Try to stay very evasive in jump art though since you can take damage much easier. If you've got ROB cornered without his gyro, I'd recommend going buster since ROB lacks other good options for escaping pressure and you can rack up damage just by covering his options with the manado.
All this said, speed is good for pushing ROB into the corner with nair planes as well as covering large distances before he can start to setup a projectile wall.
This is all very good but a close combat ROB totally obliterates me. His attacks go very fast out of shield and with all my end lag, it futile. Not to mention that fucking hoo haa it now has
>Tink, Pittoo, Junior, random button
If you know how to incorporate fair, bair, hydrant and power pellet into your fruit setups, then you you're doing well enough. The rest of your moveset should be used to get you space for those setups. You can use fair and nair to jab lock if you pay attention. Nair is frame 3 so you can use that as a get off me, jab and down tilt can stuff approaches pretty well. Up b, particular OoS is how you dip when you don't like your position. (trampoline at ledge with melon in hand is stupid amount of option coverage btw)
Just pick something you want to go by.
Sounds like it's Void.
Anyway, I just don't know what to go with, Void was a tag I used when I dabbled in graffiti and sticker art for a while and I feel like if I stick to it it would be like someone who used the same tag as Zero or Mango.
Just plain weird, you know?
Or am I just being a bitch boy over nothing?
OoS ROB's fastest option is grab. You have the aerial mobility in both jump and speed to cross him up so I'd recommend that. In buster you can trade with his grab by using jab. (which is really strong in buster) The other OoS options are Gyro throw which you can't really do anything about, be careful when he has it in hand, and up smash which is a bit too slow, if he tries it when you land in front of him you can actually jab him first. And a MALLC bair, or late dair/up air on shield is a free grab.
When you approach a character shielding, you have to be smart about what you do. Either frame advantage or range. You can poke with down tilt at a range and he can't do anything about it. Or even a pivot ftilt if you're in speed. Just be careful about ROB's gyro, that thing fucks up any kinda pressure.
If you pulled the name Void out of thin air with no real reason behind it, why not do that again? Do you need /ssbg/'s meme recommendations cause we can do that.
also there is another player named Zero who plays 64, a Zero who plays Ness in melee, also a Xero somewhere I think
I get it, it would be less of a problem if you didn't also main sheik because that makes it more confusing. You could try adding something to void if you don't want to change it completely like void followed by numbers or another word something like that.
I usually use
Meta Knight, Dedede, Olimar, and Lucas, but I was thinking of trying out Peach. How do you use her effectively? Any tips? Do I have to master her float?
I noticed that I could short-hop and kinda float just above the ground and perform aerials. That seemed pretty cool. I'm sure that's got some potential to it.
Yes you have to master her float. Float heights, jump cancel fast fall, etc. Low floats let you apply pressure with aerials which peach excels at. To be effective with Peach you have to optimize her movement and combos. Find the guides by DrkPch and EOE on youtube for that.
Somewhat but moreso that peach mains are a meme here.
Nah, there was a reason behind Void.
Also, I came to ask you because you guys are
I really don't like the numbers..
GraffitiVoid sounds like a a kid who struggled to think of a forum username, lol.
I was thinking of something like "TX_Void" or even going with "VxID", but I was thinking that no one would get the pronunciation right.
If you decide to git gud, you will need a more unique name. There will come a point where you'll fight the other Void and it will be about who gets to keep the name.
I wouldn't ask here, though. I'd go to /v/ or somewhere with a larger population and ask about what inspired people to pick their usernames.
You can do what I did: [Middle name] [Random Letter]. It's done well enough so far.
Once you git gud and have results people learn how to pronounce your name, even if it is VxID. Some people used to call ANTi "ant-ee"
If you really want a new name you can follow similar reasoning that led you to pick Void and find something new, or if Void has to stay in, use that reasoning to find something additional to add to it.
Any 3DS anons up for some doubles?
While learning, I would say that you should try and use retreating forward air out of your float instead of down air until you truly know what you're doing and even more importantly, what you're up against.
Also your up B beats out Bowser's down B, just info.
Doesn't matter how he feels about it. You literally would have the same name, which makes it hard for people to find/watch your matches, hard for commentators to pull up useful stats, and hard for organizers to put you both in bracket. Imagine if your name was Jake, and there was another Jake in your class, and neither of you have a last name. Every time Jake is said, everyone has to think about which Jake anyone is talking about.
And I said 'Talk to /v/.' How are you so good at Smash and so bad at following directions?
That's fine. Worst case I'll have an earlier night than planned. Two more for 3ds Dubs needed.

I don't really use his fAir or bAir nearly enough. Love his nAir, although I whiff with that shit a lot.
It might just be the playstyle between friends, but I honestly never get an opportunity to hit with dTilt. Its really hard to hit with...
I need to start trying to play online. Never bothered yet but I feel like I need to expand my experience.
If I can handle the lag, hoogh.
Why did Blintendo make this god damn console wifi-only?
Its silly as hell that you need a usb-to-ethernet dongle for wired connection.
this isnt for glory, just some friendlies
he used his double jump, got hit with the gyro and probably was mashing jump before trying to up+b
>le kill you in 3 hits man
it's the panchito school of dubs-fu
MK's full U-air staircase only works at a certain % range on each character. Just make sure you're jumping as soon as possible after each U-air, and the next U-air should happen while still rising from your last multi-jump.
Basically, just do it really fast, like a link combo in SF.
Greninja is mostly fine except that he has a 35:65 versus Sheik.
Greninja got nerfed forever ago and never fully recovered. Plus people figured him out.
His best aerial is frame 12 and very low range. His standing/shield grab is frame 14 which is ridiculous for non-tether. He can start combos from his up and down tilt but neither are safe on block and up tilt cancels momentum from perfect pivots and sliding pivots. His projectile still has like 20 frames of startup and noticeable cooldown. Greninja's got few good approach options, no good defensive options, mediocre zoning, etc.
You up air, jump up air, rinse and repeat. Follow DI.

how do I git gud with cloud? his attacks are all so wonky, rangewise.
i just don't really have fun with wifi tournaments anymore. plus, half the fun of tournaments is gauging yourself against other people. i already know where i stand with 99% of /ssbg/
It means "viable" as in actually viable. Not "if you work hard enough then your shit character has potential!" viable. It means any of those characters at the top have a serious, realistic chance of winning MLG or Apex. Now think about that and try again.

Pikachu is S tier, and there are valid reasons that many top players at least used to consider him the best in the game.
While at work, your monado gives you a vision (tm) and you win the powerball, becoming an instant billionaire. What do you do with the money?
This captain falcon circlejerk needs to end. All he does is his jab combo and grab. He's not hard, but he's tedious as fuck to fight.
Why is Lucario so low, he's easy as fuck to beat.
i love you

probably gonna be ages though, i feel like i dsmash far too much and don't use enough fireballs
also dunking whirling fortress is difficult because of the constant hitboxes
Guys, what are your pet peeves?
Mine is when I'm playing FG against someone and they win the first match, not even bodied me, just barely won. But instead of using the same character, they switch to another and stick with them. No matter how many times they lose, they never switch back to their main.
My infinite hatred.
>Practically the whole roster bar Mario, Sheik, Ness and Cloud
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PWN-Emn7-Q8 I don't have a favorite one, but this is part of my rotated top 5
If the game didn't go to hell, im pretty sure I'd still be playing it.
don't play for glory you won't learn much. Play people here or anthers instead, watch videos of people who get comboes with cloud, which honestly aren't that hard.
Cloud has crazy range for the speed he attacks at too, so use that.
>friend is a really nice guy

>he's really good with DHD and understands advanced tech and knows combos with them
I don't want to break his heart, but how do I tell him that he's going to get a bunch of immature manchildren yelling at him because of the character that he is going to use? I really don't want his smash experience being fucked silly because the Smash community is full of shitters.
Because you need to get fucking good, scrub.
>i get bean burritos sometimes
It's pretty pathetic how chazo ignores his shitty life problems by obsessing over smash all day in order to brag about winning over the casuals in /ssbg/
lol he isn't even that good competitively.
Poor vegans that can't taste this delicious food

Yeah, I checked the site and just saw that.
>draft crews and wiiu crews finals at the same time
>2-4 streams of stage 2 pools at the same time
>top 12/top 8 doubles at the same time
>4 different streams of top 64 at once
this one's gonna be a bitch to watch.
I have no fucking clue. If had a few tvs I could take in 3 or 4 streams at once but I only have 2 monitors and some headphones and I can barely watch two at the same time and process all the info especially the audio
Also I got Peach on random while playing on FG and this retarded campy cloud just let me sit there and pluck turnips every time until I got stiches
The fuck is a "Smash Battle"
I think my best bet is to use my two monitors for smash.gg and all the streams. smash.gg tells what going on one each stream so I can switch to the best match of the moment. Crews will be hard tho.
the cropping of the webm is because vine.
Smash Battle is their name for the Melee Draft Crew battle.
Prince Abu boutta take some stocks
Chazo is a big fish in a small pond. Anyone who actually becomes decent at Smash 4 ends up leaving.
That and a couple of people here who are really good and do better in their locals than Chazo does don't bother signing up.
Because chazo is the only autist still obsessing over /ssbg/. All the other good players left to better themselves since /ssbg/ is full of shit players. And people here are "shit" because, unlike chazo, they are not so obsessed with smash and play other video games instead and have a life. I think chazo now posts and lurks here the most out of all the regular nows. I think he's a coward who likes to self-inflate his ego by beating up people here, rather than try to fight people better than him
Honestly, he only obsesses over /ssbg/ so he can keep shilling his twitch and delude himself into thinking he has an audience to prove his mom wrong that smash isn't a big waste of time. Really it's just madoka's money saving his ass every week. No one would care otherwise.
>Chazo is a big fish in a small pond.
This. /ssbg/ has become "for glory" for chazo yet he refuses to try to fight better competition
>tfw here forever
At least I will always show Chris who is the boss of this gym
Kami isnt here to protect us any more
Chazo loves himself, so of course he loves playing here because this place makes him feel good about his smash skills.
Sorry anon, it's just that /ssbg/ isn't great competition, it's a slight step up from FG. Most people serious about getting better at Smash 4 end up playing more locally or on smashladder, grinding their rank so platinums won't think they're a waste of time.
It's all about fighting better competition consistently and measuring yourself up against them. Messing around in dubs or memeing with Sakuyadorf might be fun, and there's nothing wrong with playing for fun, however it doesn't help you get any better.
i l;ove posting this thanks for reminding me!
ardon the childish rant that is about to come, but I need to vent. boy do i hate my mom.
Ive been a borderline neet for the past X months, making money off silly odd jobs like hosting smash tournaments, buying and selling things, using my unique set of skills on craigslist, and just generally being a monk by secluding myself from most people until I get my nonsense together.
It took me ages and a lot of unfun shenanigans to finally find the courage, knowledge, and most importantly motivation to solidify exactly my gameplan for life. Many of the details further down the road are still hazy(better than blank), but for the first time in my life I know where/how I want to begin and where I want to be in X amount of time. This is sort of a big deal for me.
That being said, I still somehow maintain my various hobbies and stuff through sheer willpower alone. And by willpower I mean giving up my worldly possessions to the money gods. But most of those things arent important to me. But that basically means I have been broke 24/7 to pay for utilities and whatnot, with only small amounts leftover for fun. I honestly dont even deserve to do the things I do like conventions and video games. It actually makes me very sad to think about.
Anyways, I do want to do fun stuff like go to more conventions and stuff. But I also want to accomplish things like getting a car and stuff. I am incapable of doing either without consistent income. Its been pretty unfun and tough these days. I currently have one major job opportunity in the making at some school somewhere, but that wont follow through for another two months minimum.
He protected us from that stupid laggy ganon spic
>>ever being here
You cant erase history
Should I let you believe I'm moxy? Moxy always posts with cropped porn and titty monsters.
I guess moxy will be fine with me bullying you.
Ive been doing a lot of research into that whole bartending nonsense, and while I dont particularly think Id be a good one, I like to prove myself wrong. I am wrong about a lot of things, especially about what I am. Its likely this is another one of those things. After a long of reasearch I found a place to train under the masters, but surprise surprise, theres another money barrier that I need to cross.
Which brings me back to the beginning. My mom is pretty unable to be reasoned with and has a 2 inch fuse. I dont enjoy interacting with her ever, which is why I dont for many reasons. But this is one of those things that I sort of require her support to accomplish my goals. Basically, she said no for a lot of garbage reasons that amounted to “I dont think youd be good at it”. Which isnt as heartbreaking as you think since opinions like those dont phase me. However, now I need to generate money myself, which is incredibly difficult. I might just have to fall back on a good friend of mine. Someone who offered help in a time of need such as this. This could be the first time Ive ever asked to borrow money from someone directly, and would be the first time in my life Id be in significant debt. I mean, 400ish dollars isnt really THAT much, but still trying to generate that money on my own with my current methods would be tough.
Anyways, Im a little upset at my mom for making my already difficult life more difficult by making me jump over unnessecary hoops. I just want a job that isnt wal-mart tier. Is that so much to ask? Like every nay sayer and pity party pusher, Ill prove them wrong with my own two hands.
dont let anyone tell you money isnt important. If I had money I wouldnt be as sad and angry at the world as I am today. But I have confidence that knowing this anger will make me into a better person in the long run.
Brawler is the best out of all of them, but even he is top 14 at best. Gunner is a little under him, a solid character but without many quick options to keep people off of him.
Swordsman is still too slow to be useful. but even he isnt all bad.
Keep in mind these are all based on the assumption 1111 is being played in tournament.
I was going to say that maybe he is in a shit country and there isn't an scene for him to challenge. That he doesn't have the resourses to keep a twitch and such to make something out of smash.
That would be me if I didn't have such bad internet and could play with the 3ds people here
But after the second paragraph you are right,he sounds like a faggot
Brawler is usually seen as the best one, however tournaments don't typically allow their best setups to be used, forcing players to use 1111 for all of them. This setup isn't optimal for any of the Mii's, though, so most people who want to main just don't bother using them.
I believe Xanadu right now is allowing them to use setups aside from 1111, but it's unknown if other tournaments will follow.
Pacman alone can handle the gunner and brawler very easily. Bowser might have trouble with the gunner, but would do surprisingly well against the brawler.
Despite the brawler having great frame data, he is very small and cant actually reach you unless you let him. Bowser has literally 3.5 times the range on a lot of his attacks than the brawler does. And is very prone to being gimped off stage.
If youre curious to play one of them, I highly recommend you do, they are both very legit threats despite a few of their personal flaws, the Brawler's poor recover/range and the gunner's lack of 'truly* strong kill options I actually reccomend people learn the brawler, he will literally teach you how to play the game properly, and is very fun to use. True fluidity..
Kami is a good player, but I still think it's funny that he had to counterpick Panchito with Ganon's worst matchup in the game instead of beating him with his main.
I wouldn't classify him as someone from /ssbg/, no. But honestly any decent player wouldn't want to be associated with this place anyways.
I know you're memeing but he actually is pretty decent, he should actually go to tournaments instead of beating up on scrubs here, though. He kept up with someone who finished top 32 at a major(Kami) with fucking Ganon of all characters.
Mexican food is gay
But Chris is an innocent person that needs no bullying
>making a webm out of that
If you're forced to record with your camera, at least make it something watchable.
Only two were lolis. Stop being such a normie.
I just lack shit taste, unlike yourself.
My tastes are great, you can't have good taste if you are a fucking normie.
Your definition of a normie must be off, I'm far from it.
Nobody in japan actually plays Duck Hunt. They often have 4 stage list total so it's no surprise that Pon didn't know he couldn't reach that platform.
And Japanese tournaments have less on the line than american ones. Pon just wants to play ganon and he's the best in the country.
Cool. Will camp.
You'd know, huh? Give me a heads up when you get access to wii u so I can kick your shit in.
Two more for dubs.
