Dongslonger has some pretty neat shit. At least more than just shooting.

Some of his cool shit includes Gate, which is an instant teleport that displaces whoever you hit with it on your starting location, and Void Slip, which is pretty much his "get out of jail free" card as a skill. Stalkers can get the same thing, but as an AMP instead of a skill.

Apart from that, most of his things include shooting, shooting more, and Spellsplurging to shoot better.

Gaming is more popular, and your "average" person doesn't have time to spend doing shit in an MMO. So more MMOs are adding more quality of life things. The biggest impact is that you can't make or invite people to a guild, can't make an arena or warparty team, and can't make or invite to circles, though you can only join one instead of five. Apart from that, you get just about everything, albeit in limited quantities, such as only having three buy and sell orders on markets and whatnot.

Early on it doesn't matter much, use it to boost damage or charge spells faster. Later on when you surge will be an important part of your rotation (if you DPS, as a healer you pretty much always have it on).

Personally, Medic's a bit more complicated, but definitely more fun. Warrior is the simplest of classes, and if you want fun quickly, that's there for you.

Yes. If you're not one of those people that stacks XP buffs and rushes through as fast as possible. Though there two tiers of quests, where one advances the story, and one is for tasks in a given area. I did everything I came across and enjoyed it quite a bit. However I used to read a lot of trashy sci-fi novels when I was a kid, so I may have a lower bar for 'okayish' than you do.

I still haven't dropped a single quest in Wildstar. Including one that I was supposed to do prior to becoming neutral with a faction, and refuse to complete because I don't kill neutral humanoids.

Though it's an MMO, so there are still going to be a fair share of "kill/collect X things for me" quests.

At level 15 you get the first story instance and there's a few more as you level up. Different zones also gave quests that tie into the main story.

I'd say the middle of the questing experience feels a little less relevant to the endgame. But the overarching goal of figuring out the history/purpose of the planet and the Eldan is always present. And there's always a story, even if it's just an NPC with a couple side quests.

Protogames Academy is intended to be a tutorial dungeon.

There's a mini-instance when you leave the starting zone that should show you the basics of your class and interrupts. Though it's optional, and yes, some people are retarded.

Professions and Paths are separate.

Professions are either gathering or crafting, and work like you'd expect in an MMO.

Paths have their own XP bar that is leveled independently of your character's XP. Though there are useful rewards mixed in with the cosmetic stuff you get for leveling your path. You don't have to do everything. But you'll probably come back and do a mission later if you skip it.

Eh, the Explorer jetpack is nice. Path really, really doesn't matter - The summon is nice to have, the vendbot is nice to have, the titles are nice to have, but in the end you will use it all maybe zero times in endgame content because someone else will have it.

If you're an explorer Warrior has the best mobility skill for getting places you shouldn't since it's the only one with appreciable lift, though engineers can go further. That with explorer does give you two leaps.

Warrior's Leap is definitely an advantage.
Not only does he quickly move forward, he also leaps upwards a little.
With just that and the mount I managed to get up to the tall spire in Bloodfire Village. Took me over 30 minutes though.
