Slowly making my way through the game and finally beat this boss. But before then for the last few chapters I have been feeling like the game reminded me of another game but as I was going through the dungeon before getting to said boss it finally hit me on what game yo-kai watch really reminds me of(well more of a series of games). But the game really reminds me of the dragon warrior/dragon quest monster games if anyone has played them. From the "2 teams" of three, to the good amount of humor and even the inconsistent capture rates the earlier games in the dragon warrior/quest monsters games are known for.

Also I spent like 20 minutes chucking candy apples at Frostinas until finally getting one. Totally worth the time spent.

I realized that in the Insomni story, she gave the MC her medal and a Type Zero watch. I wrote the medal as being gray. Insomni never had a Z medal in the anime, and I've never seen an actual toy Z medal for her.

After realizing that she gave him a chunk of plastic that does nothing, MC gets pissed off and Insomni goes to get her medal renewed, with special art just for MC. It's very lewd.

The Kanashibari is a rather scary Yokai that causes sleep paralysis and is known to stare down her victims while their helpless to do anything sometimes even until sunrise. They are typically female and their name means "Bounded by Iron". it's said that by reciting certain Buddist prayers, you can make the Kanashibari your personal slave.

It's my first time going through the game so I know nothing about the side quests. Guess I just have bad luck with my yokai choices, the same thing happened with my Rattelle and another 10 minutes was spent trying to find them when I kept finding trees with the evolved forms of cadins to then take another 5 minutes throwing burgers at it. But it was also totally worth it and it was even quite useful for the previous boss battle.

Who's the very best healing yokai, if you could have anyone? I'm looking for a potential replacement for betterfly for the inferno.

Are all the S-rank crank-a-kai yokai actually superior to their "regular" counterparts? I noticed in the prima guide in many cases they have higher base stats. Which seems very weird and not-Japanese to me, as far as game design goes.

I dunno, I always got the feeling that Japanese prefer to earn their strength in games through mastery of the systems (i.e. Befriending rhynoggin, farming fish/bugs to get soul, finally fusing rhinormous) over just getting rare shit randomly and bypassing all that (getting hornaplenty from crankakai).

Kinda like how MH4U got a lot of flak over there for having the strongest weapons in the game come from RNG in the guild quests instead of actual craftable ones.

not really. Blizzaria is a straight up technique user, while her rare recolor, Damona, is more of a mixed attacker with balanced offense skills.
There are other notable differences in some of the other rare recolors, but I think only a few are downright upgrades

The Yo-kai World? 40-45. 50+ for postgame quests, though they can still be difficult if you can't outspeed them.

The best I found was that little path area to the right of the fusion temple, because you could check the map to see if Noko spawns. Just walk to the right a bit and if there's no little flame standing perfectly still at the top of the room, turn around and run back out, then back in.

Probably rare. Accidently ended up grinding nokos to get the item and had to restart to avoid leveling up too much.

Be sure to pop those wisps though. There's no telling if they give you the drop of joy.

Guess I should elaborate. Around that chapter, the yo-kai in the museum have their levels vary between 20-25, with the boss being the highest level. If you want to prolong the fight or give yourself a challenge, try swapping some of your stronger yo-kai out for the ones you befriend inside the dungeon.

Drinks in YW are really weak, but buying from the vending machines has a chance to give you the Bolt Xtreme drink, the strongest drink in the game. Said chance is pretty small though.

What do you mean not waste the coins? As far as i know you just give them to the Crank a Kai and hope your save file isnt cursed with bad luck.

Personalities basically determine how your youkai battle. The first one determines how often they loaf around and the second determines their fight AI. Siro is a physical attacker i believe so you'd want him to be either Grouchy or Rough.

So I've just gotten past recruiting Jibanyan and did a few quests, but I'm having an absolute hell of a time recruiting anything else. In about three hours I've gotten a single Coughkoff, that's with feeding anything else I encounter food(The Oni is the only one that seems to like anything I have right now), any recommendations? The grinding for this recruiting is killing me, I want that damn delinquent and the Dharuma. These are just E ranks for crying out loud, and I don't have anything that seems to stop characters from befriending me.

Roughraff should be easy if you save and quit attempts by giving him ramen, which is his favorite. But i even got him with just plain riceballs. These beginning of the game youkai shouldnt be all that hard to befriend. Noway is usually one that can take a while in my experience anyway.

At the start save quit attempts is usually a good idea since money is scarce, and so are certain food types.

You can also try to stall the fight out and pop wisps in the chance that they may have extra friendship inside them that will increase your chances of befriending even more. Other than that, just hang in there. The RNG in this game is rough.

There's definitely a rank hierarchy going on with the yokais, so it can be nice to see an old bro pop up later who can handle their own.

I don't know the true reasoning behind them but their descriptions and personalities are too similar to the original ones they're recolored from to be considered a whole different yo-kai I guess

Yeah, having an extra turn or so to revive or heal someone else on your team while a tank takes the hits can be a real saver. I used Goldnyan and used her as a attacker/tank combo.

There are different kinds of Tough Yokai, just like any other class.

Some are beefy physical attackers, others are walls that redirect damage towards themselves.
