Daily Reminder that Adventure 3 is Happening
>Adventure event in Runners
>"Classic Sonic Heritage"
>Crush 40 slight involvement with the new game
It's clearly Sonic '16, guys.
Explain why the speed stages in the Adventure games are garbage, because every time I play them, I have a great time. Is it because bashing the living fuck out of those games is the cool, trendy thing to do right now?
looks like two kiddies have different definitions of fun
time to get the popcorn
on one note, Sega said that they realize they have been fucking up and want to make a good Sonic game, but on the other hand the features that this Adventure 3 rumor has are just too good to be true.
>Sticks will be in a mainline Sonic game before Sally
>I missed the other senpai
Damn it all. Nice to see him here tho
Shit, I woke up and saw the last thread on page 10 and thought Bump had fallen asleep at the wheel before realizing it was over bump limit.
Now I want to Bump something regardless.
Honestly, I'm not convinced SA3 is a good way to go, and given that the Adventure games aren't all that well received today I don't know if they'd want to touch them.
Having said that, a Sonic Adventure game with Unleashed-like production values would be... interesting to see (though I'd prefer something else).
Just in case any faggot on here thinks that the "leak" is real I want to clarify something that all employees of game development companies have to sign off on when we sign the employment contract and that is we cannot leak and/or give insight upon a game in development until (at the very least) a launch date is stated.
The guy is lying his ass off. A gaming company like SEGA would enforce this contract until the bitter end and would more likely than not pursue legal action.
>He leaked it on an anonymous board.
If he quit then SEGA has records of when he quit and also what builds he's played/tested. He even specified which build he was playing which would basically be suicide if this was a real leak because all management would need to do is line the dates up and they have their leaker.
>They wouldn't pursue legal action they don't care.
Remember how much of an example Nintendo made of that guy who gave an interview without consent. The guy didn't even bad-mouth Nintendo he just went to an interview that Nintendo didn't know about and because of that they made sure he would never find a job like that ever again. Japs are hard on this kind of shit.
This is of course ignoring the fact that he probably had to sign a contract promising (again) that he wouldn't leak information out to the public because he apparently quit AFTER play testing.
TL:DR Don't believe this bullshit.
At the very best/least: A mandatory marking where if he has an interview as a playtester or any game development department he must state that he has leaked game info before otherwise face a possible fine and/or lawsuit.
At the worst/most: He's living in a box for the rest of his life.
Like I said. Japanese corporations have a very strict culture and they will relentlessly fuck you over if you don't follow it.
(I used to work for NoA in the localization department. I ended up quitting and moving over to
NA companies are a lot less...aggressive about that stuff.
AND on one last note:
The supposed screenshots he's using is a Generations mod made by a fan called Zoney.
The ID card he posted also has the exact same scratches and line-up of a previous SEGA employee.
>Inb4 why are you doing this faggot?
Because I don't want retards on this thread trying to hype up a failure of a leak just because they're too hopeful/stupid/delusioned to be bothered to google search images.
this theme is god tier https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zpHuG2hHmEo&list=PLB723FA23FFF047FF
Not happening this century. Going even beyond the bad publicity of the game itself after Pendershit tried to sue us SEGA decided it would just be better to go our seperate ways.
Sad too. A few of us were interested in making a Nights game.
A better question for me would be: "What's EAs new plan for Bioware this year to fuck us in the ass harder?"
I'm guessing that was a typo.
I guess I should somewhat explain my reasoning...even though this is a Sonic general.
>Be in NoA localization team.
>Want to actually help develope games, not just translate shit.
>Be a corporate pawn through-through. Literally nothing I say has any warrant or weight.
>Can't do any fun shit. It's all business all day.
>Nothing what I thought about working for NoA was what I thought.
>Start finding other companies to work for.
>Bioware is offering me a job with more respect, more freedom and actual hands-on game development.
>Get a better wage than I got at NoA.
This was right before we were bought by EA of course.
Had I known that was going to happen I might have just gritted my teeth and hope to get a raise and promotion. Which is almost never in Nintendo since it's literally just a bunch of oldfags promoting other oldfags.
The only real way to be a developer there is to be directly under the wing of the other ones and most of the time you have to deal with them taking credit for the game. It's honestly nothing like how you'd imagine it to be.
I have zero knowledge about how big companies work but, in my opinion, you should have searched for a job application in a development studio (ie Retro studios, Next Level,...) rather than for a publisher.
>Implying I didn't apply for Retro Studios.
That was actually going to be my first job in the industry if NoA didn't respond to me.
>inb4 why didn't you accept the Retro Studio invite?
I was young and I was a huge fan of Nintendo since I was a little boy. Also, Lay down on the table a job interview for Retro Studios and Nintendo and tell me which one sounds more promising/fun/more profitable.
They'd think I was a giant fucking nerd.
Then again, I have this in my basement so it's not like I'm *too* worried.
Amy plz go before people start posting lewds of you.
Well personally the first thing I would ask is how big their lewd folder is.
>only 229 files
You're lucky I'm away from my PC right now. This is only the beginning.
I kinda wish the writers for that game would give a hint as to what the script of the second game was going to be, since all we got was a cliffhanger and no second season.
>inb4 Knux & Shade lewdz
>A few of us were interested in making a Nights game.
We ended up putting a lot of the ideas that we were gonna use for the Echidna tribes in the Krogan tribes.
That's all I'm gonna say.
No, I'm not providing proof.
No, I'm not going to give my name or position away.
Just know that if you ever thought that the Krogan were very similar to the Echidna's in Chronicles then there was a definite reason for that.
I hope that gives you some closure.
I can never remember release dates. How big of a gap between ME1 and Chronicles are we talking here? I've only played ME1 so no idea what the other games and stuff did with the Krogan or anything else other than the ending.
I got a nostalgic feeling from this game for some reason. Also, this is up there with Solaris and Dark Gia.
Holy shit, someone get Mike Pollock on the line. I absolutely need to hear him sing this as Eggman.
That was just my lewd folder.
My *actual* Sonic folder is a little more...extensive.
Other than the Tails folder and Nicole folder I have no rhyme or reason to get the others.
I might grab the Rouge one just for fap purposes...maybe.
Hell, the Tails folder has femtails on it and a lot of the art is pretty fucking trashy anyway. You faggots must have horrible taste.
Do we really need to go down that road, again?
>Like Sonic with Amy and Sally, he is caught in a love triangle between Cream and Cosmo
>he is caught in a love triangle between Cream and Cosmo
>love triangle between Cream and Cosmo
>Cream and Cosmo
Now don't get me wrong.
I'm a Tailsfag all the way and I've shipped CreamxTails for a while...but there is literally no source or canon to prove or confirm this ship.
That's not even horribly obscure, apart from a Nu252 character, which haven't gotten a ton of fanart yet. I'm sure there's something out there.
Unless you're talking non-lewd.
>I don't think that one anon who commissioned JenHen will ever get their drawing of her.
The worst part is I probably won't be able to get a refund at this point
Well that's pretty fucking dodgy. I'm sorry, Anon.
I don't know, man. I just don't know...
How do all y'all organize your Sonic folders? I've broken mine up into some vague organization, mostly by characters or groups, and I'm trying to decide how to make it easiest to find specific images.
I liked Chronicles.
Except for the gameplay gimmicks. And the music. And the crappy cliffhanger ending. But seriously, I thought the plot was interesting; Nocturnus were interesting and filled a few holes in the established game canon. Certainly better than any of Penders' bile, though that isn't saying much. Total wasted opportunity to see Gemerl again, though.
Honestly 4chan is the worst place for Sonic leaks just because Unleashed and Gens got leaked here, now everyone wants to pretend they know about the newest game.
>Colors leak on /v/
>claims its a sequel to Heroes with chao garden
>Lost World leak on /v/
>claims its just like the Adventure games
>Runners leak on /v/
>claims its literally Unleashed on mobile but with a better framerate than PS360
With all these fake leaks we might become Neogaf soon.
Honestly the Boom leaks could easily be passed off as good guesses since most of the writing was on the wall based on the trailers.
The runners leaks were funnier because people got the hopes up for an unleashed game on mobile and then went into a semi damage control mode after it was revealed to be shit.
>AT LEAST ITS FAST
btw heres a leaked screenshot of the new sonic game
If they're a gamer or you otherwise think they can tolerate older games, start with the classics. If they want a rounded experience they should then play the Adventure era, though I'd say they could skip Shadow if they don't want to invest a lot of time, as well as 06 unless they like messing with broken games. I'd say play all the main games from Unleashed to Lost World, and if you want to just get someone to where the games are now then skip to Unleashed.
For the full experience they should play all the "major" console games, but that might not always be possible.
Don't forget about the Advance games and Rush duology. While they're not absolute must plays, they're still overall solid games and have more overall consistent quality than Sonic's 3D outings
1, 2, CD, 3&K, Adventure 1, Adventure 2, Heroes, Unleashed, Colors, Generations, Lost World
Triple Trouble, Tails Adventure, Advance 1-3, Rush, Rush Adventure, Colors, Generations, Boom
The best artists are the ones who don't do any business with anyone and just draw fucking whatever. Saves everybody from disappointment because you have absolutely no expectations of them whatsoever. Unfortunately, Sonic artists are all trying to carve their own niche into the bottom of the exact same niche barrel, and that means underhanded and dodgy bullshit happens left and right in order for them to make money over each other.
InCase is a good example of an normal artist who's found a niche that isn't "I only draw things from _____ series." Guy gets 4k+ a month just to draw, and hasn't taken commissions in like a year or something.
I'm not going to defend me or my company about the piss poor quality of the game. All I'm gonna ask is that you not direct that at me because I literally just joined the company when it was almost finished.
The only explanation I can give to why it was so crappy was because the design team didnt' know where to take the game. Seriously, making a Sonic RPG is confusing.
RPGs (especially in Bioware's eyes) should be taken slowly and deliberately.
Sonic is anything but that.
As far as the music goes...from what I heard that was because we literally hired some wanna-be game tune artist to make the music.
I would have done so much with Gemerl if we got that sequel licensing.
In other news I guess you guys are lucky because one of the guys on the story wanted to
kill off Tails for a section of the game and make him come back as a glorified deus-ex machina.
This is why I hate /sthg/ and Sonic in general. The second I start talking about crap I just keep running my mouth.
Yes and no. Lost World simply took him out of the plot temporarily.
This guy wanted to actually make it look like Tails died as a sacrifice and to later show up and beat the shit out of a boss.
Honestly, I don't think we would have let that gone through and even if we did I know SEGA wouldn't.
That's honestly the only bad part of the story wall we had that I can remember.
Well that and this annoying women who kept on trying to ship Sonic and Amy every chance she could.
I thinks she's part of the reason that it had multiple dialogue options though. So she wasn't all bad.
Was there ever an explanation for that? That gun worked and those implants looked legitimate.
I assumed the machine just kind of slap parts around him and not actually replaced anything. So they're more like an incomplete Badnik that he's controlling, which explains how he took it off without any ado.
Did someone order a fresh batch of fucking stupid
Because I've got a nice steaming batch of fucking stupid
>editor of licensed comic goes against will of licensor
>laying down the law
You know shit's bad when I would have prefered SONIC UNDERGROUND OF ALL THINGS instead of the trainwreck we got for the following decade. UGGGH
Have some cute to compensate.
He is just on a fucking ROLL today
Nigga literally embezzled from the company and left them with three years of bad inventory stories. It doesn't matter how much Penders liked him or for what reasons, he was objectively bad at his job and should be thankful Archie is too small to be able to bother pursuing legal action on his ass.
And instead we got the meganic crossover, which will forever be tainted by penders' bullshit.
I still cannot enjoy it properly given the loss it eventually led to.
I just wanted knuckles to have his god damned happy ending before it all happened, Just wanted some closure.
Ladies and gentlemen, the living advertisement for legal human neutering !
IT KEEPS GOING
>Princess Sally might have actually had a fucking chance of getting at least a cameo in the mainline games and being a character.
>But then Penders made the side-series and made it look like she was unliked.
Even if he's lying and it's not real the sheer idea of this makes my blood boil.
To be fair, the blame for the Sally miniseries failing isn't all on Penders. The logo they used for the mini series made it look like it was for girls, and stuff like that drives off their main demographic (young boys) But yeah, everything besides that and the art can be blamed on Penders and that really fucking stupid story he decided to use for it
This man is like a clogged toilet ; the deeper you go, the shittier it gets, and no amount of shower can gets the stain off your arm.
That was actually funny.
Penders is the kind of person that thinks adding tons and tons of backstory to things automatically makes it better, when it really just makes it more inacessible to new fans. Even then, most of the time the backstory is superfluous at best (How many stories of his were spent on talking about the Great War and echidna lore? And how much of that really did matter?)
>Tfw no Eurobeat in the games
I warned you about memes bro
I told you dawg
Edited slightly because that bit of paper was bugging me.
Alright /sthg/, riddle me this: How would you incorporate existing Sonic characters into the Boom canon?
Building off that idea
>A good part of Sticks' crazy theories about the government are true, but nobody believes her
>All of her attempts to try and show them the truth are foiled by complete accident
You know what, this could go places
Big is a local fisherman and hunter that occasionally stops into town to trade his game for supplies. He lives in a cottage high up in the mountains by a river with his pet frog, Froggy, who can sense natural disasters(which could be used to introduce him by warning the town of a tornado or something)
Cream and Vanilla run a local Chao nursery and sell raised Chao like pets.
Vanilla is a massive flirt who enjoys teasing the boys
The Chaotix act as a vigilante police force for the town. Their law enforcement goes about as far as heckling people for littering, and are largely comedic.
Never mind that, it wasn't terribly good or interesting and he constantly contradicted it. When he started all his Knuckles bullshit, the point was supposed to be Knuckles using what he knew of his people's history to deal with a problem in the present. The history he knew was that Angel Island became a thing, Dimitri went bad and was stopped by fucking bugs, the people overreacted like hell and said "no more tech" and blew up their own fucking city to go back to simpler ways.
Then it just keeps turning into a constant puke-stream of revelations as to how all that wasn't actually true or what happened, because apparently Knuckles was supposed to learn about not repeating past mistakes through a fake version of history or some shit.
The city was never blown up (this lie is never even addressed) and the whole "we gave up our tech" thing remained a driving force even though the people were still shown living in a goddamn high tech society.
Sally and her two yesmen Antoine and Bunnie act like tourists around Sonic, but in truth they're agents deployed to keep wouldbe conquerors like >>127574013 from taking over the island.
>Blaze kingdom tries to take over
>they have to convenience her that ruling and conquering people is complete bullshit and she should open up and actually make friends
And here's the image he claims is wrong is that "Logic and copyright according to Ken Penders" thing comparing Shade to Julie Su
Blaze is accompanied by her two guards Silver and Marine.
Then suddenly figures come crashing down from the sky, claiming the island was theirs by birthright.
The Babylon Rogues.
>Boom Sonic's face when he has to deal with all these pain in the necks
He's even said in the past that he was the reason she was popular. (Sadly that's one of the tweets I lost when my last computer died) And that his characters could exist outside of Sonic (Which really says volumes about how generic his writing and characters are)
>There are people on /co/ who have St John as their husbando
We now return to "The Life and Times of my Master Plan."
Today, Eggman takes us on a tour through his new, extended basement. As Momma Robotnik has claimed much of the above-ground fortress for herself, Ivo will be spending the next few days down here to prepare for his latest scheme.
No doubt we're all familiar with the humble cryogenic refrigeration room. This is where Shadow spent years silently staring out into a grim corridor as the memory of Maria's death replayed in his mind, over and over and again.
Perfect for storing clones, badniks and estranged relatives!
Next stop, the Generator Room! This is where Robotnik would store all his Chaos Emeralds...if he had them, that is.
The Sims 3 w/ all expansions.
>Sonic Adventure 3
>Knuckles is treasure hunting, but
Even if it were true, it would prove that Knuckles is an unnecessary character from a gameplay standpoint if all they can have him do is collect shit.
Shadow returns as a grouchy rival/frenemy that takes everything, no matter how silly or pointless, with absurd seriousness. His backstory is so convoluted, contradictory, and probably false that only Sticks can make sense of it. Essentially the Walter Sobchak (pictured) to Sonic's Dude.
>Am I the only one around here who gives a $#!7 about the rules? Mark it zero!
Here we have the Lab. Not nearly as accommodating as his upstairs workshop, it still contains all the basic necessities for the aspiring mad scientist and evil overlord.
Where do you think the colonel gets his chicken from? "Bwa-ha ka-ha!"
Does anyone else question some of the Sonic videos that they watched years ago and tries to remember what they liked about them?
Who is the best Universe villain and why is it Enerjak?
I just figure that I was desperate to find something to entertain myself with, and since I had yet to discover 4chan, I would have inevitably found myself to be watching garbage and liking it
That's an odd way of spelling Finitevus
If you care about powerlevels, I guess.
Dark Enerjak's one-note while Eclipse is a decently fleshed out villain with an unorthodox situation. Pretty much every other SU arc doesn't really have a central villain (or stars them).
Breezie is a well renown actress from a distant, unknown land. Nobody knows her actual background, but doesn't care. She's talented, wealthy and charismatic! Sticks finds her incredibly suspicious.
There was also a rumor about some vintage robots Eggman built going missing a long time ago. The doc didn't really pay much mind to it.
Fini alone turned that arc from a 5/10 to an 8/10
Next stop: Retention!
This is where Eggman sends all of his troublesome subordinates whose personalities are in need of *ahem* "slight readjustments." Today, Scratch serves as our willing volunteer.
It's also perfect for implanting memories and skills into unwilling clones.
I get where Ian was coming from, but everything with the Dingoes, Mighty, Julie, and the DUFF was hella boring. Shoulda just started from the end of part 2 with "WHY IS MY ISLAND CHAINED TO AUSTRALIA?!"
Yeah, the first 2 parts were pretty meh on my reread. Honestly the climax (And everything involving Fini) made that arc. I get he was trying to make the DUFF interesting, but it just didn't work. (Honestly none of the offshoot FF groups except the Secret FFs and the Sandblasters were interesting anyways)
As for Julie Su, she's just shit no matter what so I don't hold it against anyone writing her (Except Penders, because he fucking made her)
>That last page with Thrash
In hindsight that page is pretty fucked up
I think a lot of it was still in clean up mode from Penders' nonsense and all the other half baked stuff. Like trying to establish what was up with the echidnas and dingoes after RTAI changed things up so much and then Penders did his damndest to sweep it under the rug and go back to his old boring directionless status quo. So it was all a bit confusing with a lot of loose ends.
Starting the story from the point where Angel Island is chained to Downunda wouldn't have changed that in the slightest. The first parts are structured as a response to and recreation of multiple older Knuckles stories. It was a neat idea, but it accomplished nothing and just made the arc unfocused and bland.
I dunno. If you assumed things were moving forward and not that Penders would rise from the ashes of his failed projects to scuttle everything, I can see trying to set up and re-establish characters who were unaccounted for since their last appearances (like the general, since he was supposed to be in RTAI until Penders threw a fit and so they redrew him to be his cyborg son) might have been part of a long term plan.
We may never know. But even then, the arc itself was sitll kind of meh.The latter half was enjoyable, don't get me wrong. But the first 2 parts were kinda dull
You know, as much as Finitevus was fun, this really just makes me feel relieved and thankful for what we have now. It's fucking weird to remember that Knuckles was tied to an estranged father and a teleporting ant mentor and evil god-cyborg uncles and a fucking baby half-brother and while dealing with numerous confusing factors and being a literal religious figure who walked on water and came back from the dead.
The Knuckles who beats down Bark and awkwardly interacts with Relic and gets in a stubborn fight with Shadow and accidentally clobbers Amy in a competition feels like something that escaped a crushing weight.
He made her the cousin AND girlfriend AND commonlaw wife of an established SEGA character whose design can be recreated by literally tacking some details onto said SEGA character's design. Who's not capable of reason here?
This to the nth degree. He's a lot more fun now that all his baggage has been lifted.
I can't wait for more awkward interactions with Relic the Spaghetti Spiller
Accounting for the Dingoes and DUFF is fine and dandy. I'm saying the narrative structure is flawed because the story doesn't start until the third issue and the first two don't do a good job setting the scene (M30YL has the exact same problem). If you begin at a point where the core of the arc is established, you get to make things more cohesive.
A large chunk of 1 and 2 are about Knuckles and Julie and Mighty going to ruins Knux explored in one of Ken's first stories to find Finitevus. There's no good reason besides "lol, references" to bother. The story would have been better off opening with Harry transporting them to Stryker and giving Mighty the spiel, Stryker telling them about Fini scheming in the ruins of Downunda below them, the island being snagged, and Knuckles confronting Fini, who plays fool so they work together. The DUFF don't even figure in until issue 3 anyway.
This way the stage is set with the first issue and Fini is persistent through the whole arc instead of just over half of it. More time can be spent actually getting something meaningful out of Thrash and the DUFF and there's more breathing room in general.
I can't wait for more Obliterate-it Omega and Fix-it Felix interactions.
The final stop on Robotnik's magical basement tour is the time vault, which houses a mysterious gate the doctor acquired under remarkable circumstances (read:
"bought from the local neighborhood Consignment Store").
Who created this machine? What purpose does, or will serve? What are the good doctor's plans for it? Only time will tell....
>There's no good reason besides "lol, references" to bother.
I remember it more about it exploring the mysteries about the echidna history, which tied into Fini's attempts to bribe Knuckles.
Both Flynn's greatest strength and weakness is his tendency to lay down threads to be explored later. The DUFF are no exception. I agree that Fini needed more involvement and that it drags its feet a little, but the DUFF interacting with Knuckles gives the story the time it needed to build up. Don't forget that the first two issues lay down the current status of the Dingoes and give us some really good scenes with the Chaotix as well.
Which was entirely redundant since they ended up in a bunch of ruins that shouldn't be in Downunda anyway. Good pacing matters more than "Do you get what I'm saying audience let me spend over a dozen pages showing this thing so you'll get it."
>the DUFF interacting with Knuckles gives the story the time it needed to build up.
Except they don't even show up until issue 3. Expediting their appearance would do wonders for the arc.
>Don't forget that the first two issues lay down the current status of the Dingoes and give us some really good scenes with the Chaotix as well.
...Both of which are entirely segregated from the parts I said should be cut.
I agree with you entirely, so I don't get why you're acting like I'm saying any of these things should be cut. There's about 15 pages of Knux in the ruins, and they're pretty much exclusively the cause for the story's pacing problems. Switching the order of Stryker and Harry's scenes and jamming issues 1 and 2 together would make for a far better laced story, if only because there wouldn't be FIFTEEN boring pages of Mighty, Julie and Knuckles doing fucking nothing of importance.
Nah, I just wanted to talk about the arc in general. I agree that the first two issues should be filed down, but at the same time the character interaction in the ruins scenes really fleshes out Knuckles' relationship with Mighty and Su. It's a bit of a gray area, honestly, and while SOMETHING needs to be cut, it's all pretty good. I can't pick any one part that should be cut.
>immediately after she tried to shut down her dA
Shit, this sucks. I actually never thought it could come to this from someone that actually draws for the comics.
I'd agree if Julie wasn't a sack of wet newspaper and the "my people/civilization/history" facet of Archie!Knux wasn't pretty dull back then.
Or if the entire sequence wasn't padded as fuck and most of it amounts to "There's secrets why are there secrets this is bullshit why are they keeping secrets from me." and an extremely drawn out homage to the trash compactor scene from A New Hope.
Honestly, I would've loved some focus on just how broken of a person Julie Su is due to how fucked her past was. Maybe it would've given her more of a character, and kind of made her like her sister (Both were one more horrible tragedy away from completely breaking)
As far as I'm concerned, though, it's the weakest link and takes up the most page real-estate. They could easily work in a similar scene later if they wanted to (and it'd be pretty easy, as not a lot is actually said for all the pages it takes up), but for the overall story it'd be better to keep those moments for deeper into the arc. It'd also allow for more substance in their interaction, as they'd be able to both react to each other AND the unfolding events.
You make it sound a lot more dramatic than it actually is. If shouting at something and then crying a little bit counted for anything on its own, Dark Ages Sally would be considered a well rounded, dynamic character.
Jennifer Hernandez, who is one of the artists for the comic. Half a year ago, she opened up commissions, and I decided to commission some Bump. She accepted my request, I paid up, and then nothing. Then she had a mental breakdown a couple months ago and decided to close her dA (Or so she said)
skimmed trough her journals a bit. it seems to be stress combined with not being able to support herself by doing what she loves (drawing), topped off by having an unsupportive family
>So if you follow my Twitter (@chibijenhen) you'll know I got a new day job. After a back and fourth with my family about my "poor life choices" I decided it was better to get something with a more steady income, so I can move out. It's way past time for me to have my own place anyway.
>Sonic without gloves
That'll never stop looking weird
Not him, but maybe...you got me there because I have no idea. Maybe give Julie Su some actual personality, but that's a bit much for 15 pages
I honestly wouldn't mind a Gens 2. Disappointed that it's not something original but not entirely let down
God dammit, we were having so much fun.
I think that was supposed to remain a mystery until much later, but yes, it could've been elaborated on a tiny bit more. But I think what we got in regards to that point was satisfactory
Basically bitching about "More OCs" and autism. That's about it, but it tore the thread apart
Goddamn I never took the time to look at her model. Those tats are pretty big. Also is it me or are her wings bigger than usual?
>a bunch of ruins that shouldn't be in Downunda anyway
Why shouldn't they be if they were on the edge of the island to begin with? Why would they be there when echidnas were SUPER advanced and had a fucking magic space metropolis since ancient times?
Now in delicious 4K at a silky smooth 20fps!
Amen to that
>"There's no way Katella's tits were this big
>yes they were
Who deserves a super form and why is it Eggman?
Holy shit, I hate when people use images of the balloon but in the text there's no news about it
>this is the last we ever see of Shard
Would it be easier to accept that he sacrificed himself instead of being pendered?
>He never got to finish that sentence
>we will never get Super Sonic vs Super Eggman
What do you think was he going to say?
>loses to a hedgehog
You must be Einstein.
I remember an old fangame called Eggman Hates Furries. It's pretty much a glorified boss rush with generic robots (although it does have a decent Tails Doll fight), but the last fight is Super Sonic vs. Super Eggman, and he looks almost exactly like >>127600759.
>30 fucking minutes
It's going to be alright I can make it, I'll just have to dial in back a decade and pretend I'm a middle schooler watching this on Newgrounds.
That's not the issue I'm having.
It's that it's been so long, I am now older and things change. Young me would be ecstatic for a long episode over the 12 minute ones but now? Fuck dude It's harder to sit through fan stuff like this for longer than 8 minutes.
Yo, that's the giant Caltoy Sonic! Only a handful of those were made. Put on display at Best Buy around when Sonic 3 came out and then raffled off. I'm surprised to see one in such good shape.
Good luck, man. The giant Caltoy ones are nearly impossible to find nowadays.
I'd kill to have one.
Luigi protecting the BTFO Mario before Bowser almost burn them alive
Made it to the half way point, so far alright
>Finally get to see Wario and Waluigi fight
>Detailed close ups
>Smash instead of Mario Kart
>The Mario vs Bowser is more dynamic and not just powered up Mario throwing Bowser around the screen to old dance club music
Someone on Sonic Stadium said it was Rafa Knight, but didn't give a link because it was based on a private conversation that someone posted on a Sonic fan page. So, yeah, that's all I got.
>someone has to fix shard
>but they're short on time and can't make original parts for him
>shard ends up with mix matching parts from different metal sonic models, badniks, etc
>one leg being longer than the other, an arm that can't do anything other than shoot, etc
>shard's just a frankenstein's monster of parts
>He goes evil not because he thinks it's morally right, but because that's the only way he'll finally die for good and be rid of the monstrous husk of a once great individual he was.
this makes Bump sad
Also, need sad Bump art, I have none!
>He tries to die but he keeps being rebuilt by Eggman/Chuck/whoever
>The more times he's rebuilt, the more grotesque and makeshift his body gets
>At some point, all that's left of his original form is his power gem and conscience
>He begs for death but can never be free
>Classic is cuter but Modern is hotter
Is that so?
cute/amy same thing. But yes, by all means, post more amy!
What's the maximum and optimum amounts of time you think a stage should last? How would you arrange to make a Sonic game that is of average length compared to what's normal in other games (~10hs?) without recurring to bullshit tactics like collecting stuff to advance, having to replay the same levels several times, padding with minigames, and so on?
For some reason I imagine the Shard/Nicole situation to play out in a manner similar to this, with a situation where Shard can't get out and is facing FINAL DEATH for whatever reason.
yeah I know torchwood is a piece of shit up until parts of children of earth
The ass is
It's staffed by Big The Cat, who is always hungry.
They don't even speak about blue hedgehogs, or any hedgehogs for that matter
>What's the maximum and optimum amounts of time you think a stage should last?
An average skilled player taking the normal path in a level in the middle of the game should take about 5-7 minutes. There should be at least two branching paths: one that's harder but faster and one that's easier but slower. Additionally, levels near the beginning should be shorter and easier while levels near the end should be longer and harder.
I don't think a Sonic game should ever be 10 hours in a single run without stuff like collecting, force replaying, minigames, different gameplay, etc. Each level should be designed under the assumption that players will replay it multiple times in order to get a better time, like in previous games. Branching paths, and maybe limited collectables in the form of red star rings.
although I'll deny it in public
I can actually see a fairly reasonable chance of it happening. Due to Sonic Boom being dominated by the Status Quo 200%, though, I doubt it'll happen unless it makes like Reboot and suddenly drops a million drama bombs.
Oh fug, it's really happening huh?
I wonder why they're getting Big's adventure era voice actor back.
Hopefully we see some more cast changes
>New SEGA Bass Fishing: Big Edition confirmed
What a time to be alive.
Never. I actually think Boom would have more fun having it ALMOST happen a bunch of times to fuck with shippers and then actually have him hook up with sticks if anything just to fucking rile up the fanbase.
There are some ways you could have him and Amy almost be a thing and have it be funny though. I'm glad they're being really subtle about establishing Amy as into him, because too many times her personality has just been big blue rabid fangirl. Especially in the Japanese stories.
It'd be pretty rad if Boom ends it's last episode with them actually going on a date though, which of course we'd never see.

You wanna know how to take it a step further?
Build up a romance for Sonic and Amy, hints out the fucking ass. Then introduce a Boom version of Sally and immediately hook her up with Sonic and have it stay that way
Why exactly is voicing Sonic not worth much to Sega in the west? Especially when he's iconic here?
I bet Junichi gets paid a huge amount in Japan, and Charles Martinet gets around 50-200k per Mario game.
Why does Roger do the role for low pay?
HOLY SHIT THAT IS EVIL I LOVE IT
and I'm a sonamy fag. not into NTR I promiseBut you know what is the logical progression? it is 2016, so you know Boom!Sally will show up and hook up with Amy and Sonic will be stuck with Knux. Right at the end of the last episode out of fucking nowhere, like that nickelodeon show...And the critics would love it and praise it as show of the year 10/10 S+ all round! strong female character done right!
Their voice directors have been pretty good lately. The only thing I'm worried about is the plot.
It would be nuts if he becomes the defacto voice of Sonic again. S2 of Boom will certainly be weird if that happens
>Why does Roger do the role for low pay?
Because he has a million other roles and Sonic is pretty low-effort relative to most of his other roles (aside from the cartoon) so it's basically easy money, even if it's just "coffee and donuts money" as Drummond put it.
>The main series isn't too good, honestly.
The main problem is that nobody is allowed to emote. It's either mild smugness or mild annoyance. Scenes where characters should be really pissed don't register because they sound annoyed
