Can someone give me a rundown on hackerbux?
- How much can you safely recieve
- How often can you receive hackerbux safely
- Are there any 'undetectable' ways of receiving hackerbux
That function was removed a month after the game came out on ps3/360, way before money hacks were even a thing. Rockcock wanted complete control over the "economy" to protect their shark cards so an actual market was out of the question. Same reason the stock market never came.
>some guy wants to ride hexers with me
>out of nowhere hes like "OMG UR A GIRL"
>i guess he realized through my flight suit that i'm playing a female cahracter
>WOW UR SO HOT
>character is a mix of misty and claude, heavier on claude
>heavy "Junkie" skintype
>dark, reddened eyesockets
>generally looks like a filthy crack addict
>"WOW UR SO HOT"
>so much fucking money to make games
they have adopted the hollywood accounting tradition.
Videogames are incredibly cheap to make, if you are making them because you want to make a good game.
Anyone know if theyre planning on removing christmas content even if you've already claimed it?
I claimed all of it but some stuff isn't in my closet inventory and show up as not purchased at the store.
true. I only wanted to keep a select few things though.
But the stockings ill never forgive them for.
After you've bought every car/gun/etc. that you've wanted, what is there to do?
I'm not going to lie and say that I didn't spend every cent of modder bux that I got in order to do that, but I never modded myself. (Sounds like I'm trying to justify it to me as well, guys.)
I own both insurgents, a hydra, every attack helicopter, the three most expensive apartments (One being one of the new houses,) And pretty much every best-in-class car. (Meaning one car from each class that I feel outclasses the rest)
On top of that, I have one garage just dedicated to owning that cars I bought for fun. (The Thrust, Voltic Coil, etc.)
There's not much left for me to strive for. The only other thing I might want is a yacht, but It's honestly only a matter of time before I get randomly placed in a lobby with another modder and get that kind of money all over again.
What do I do now? I've mostly been just doing freemode events and survival for a while, but that can only keep me going for so long.
I'm honestly really enjoying just staying in Free roam being a VIP while my girlfriend and I get random VIP work done.
So… this just happened
>VIP doing a mission
>I get the bright idea to take him and his body guards out
>They're in a helicopter
>Homing launcher at the ready
>Both bodyguards die, but the VIP is some how still alive after falling from the blown up helicopter
>Realize he's probably hacking
>Get back on my Vindicator and drive off as fast as I can
>He insta-kills me
>Start to type a message in chat
> Was going to say "Really? You have to hack to kill me?"
>All I was able to type was the "R" before he crashed my game.
I didn't even fucking know that hackers could crash my game like that.
I wonder if I could get away with it if I spawned all the money I wanted in a private session and bought the stuff I wanted in a public session. Would that raise any red flags on R*'s end?
I've given myself 100mill multiple times now (different characters), deposited it in full immediately and spent a bunch of it buying warstock, properties (including yachts), vehicles w/ upgrades, and wardrobe. It's been about a week since then I still haven't received any notices (knock on wood). I even ranked up my characters with the menu the day right after they got off their ban. Still not saying I'm in the clear, but it's been a week, like I said, and nothing.
I'm only testing this, so I'm going to keep it around 10 Million. I'll buy a yacht and see if I get banned.
Here's what I'm thinking:
>Download this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZijz7FAZII
>Set it up correctly
>Give self 10 mill in a private session
>DELETE GAME FOLDER
>Now, with a fresh and clean game, go into a public session
>If not banned in a week, RockStar is fucking dumb as hell and their transaction server only pulls red flags on either large sums of money or when in a public session.
We already know they don't track HP and car stats. That's all client side. I'm thinking that there's a lot more they don't track in private sessions.
>Risking a ban for only 10mill
It's not worth it. Just earn it legitimately. You'll probably earn that much in the time it takes to download the game twice.
If you don't care about your first strike, plan it out. Think about everything you want to buy and spend the most you can. Get T20 bonds or whatever is the priciest vehicle now, spread them through both your characters. Use the recovery options if you want tattoos and gun paints. Consider making otherwise impossible outfits you like and saving them, plus enabling events if you can. Also think about any modded vehicle you may want (Sanchez and Enduro with street tires, Banshee without the rollbars, etc). The only thing they'll take from you is your money.
Pretty sure that menu won't work online, by the way.
You don't install menus, you inject them.
To late. Already got the mod running in single player.
All or nothing now.
>You don't install menus, you inject them.
Yeah. Just found that out. It's a lot easier than I thought to mod the fuck out of this game.
>tfw the Social Club name you want is taken by some Brit who obviously hasn't touched his profile in possibly years
Should I dress my character as something understated and reasonable, in garish bright colors like some kind of euro trash club criminal, or make him look like a skeezy drug dealer type? I dunno what theme I wanna do here just yet.
Had to close the game because the money was coming to fast and the transaction server couldn't take my gains.
Up to 1 Million. I set the delay to 995 and that let me turn on the loop and keep it on. I'll cut it off as soon as I hit 10 Million. Then I'll go for the rest of my plan.
Might not even uninstal since we're just injecting the mod and not actually messing with the game files.
Honestly? I think you'll get away with that. 10 Million is a super small amount when considering modding. Plus, you can actually make 10 Million from a single mission in the game. (End of mastermind)
As long as you don't go beyond 10 Million, you should be fine.
Do you think Rockstar even watches transactions like this?
I think the biggest risk for me is the fact that I actually have it on a loop. It's going to tell them I'm getting random amounts of money every X seconds for Y amount of time.
It'll look to uniform. It's giving money at exactly the same interval every time.
>not playing in an actual court
Still. It's always ten days for the first time, right?
I'm going to see this through.
I honestly don't care about the money. I just want to see what happens and if my plan works.
If it does, I think I might know what anti-cheat they're running.
i think its smarter to run the trainer in little times
like run the trainer, get 100k and do it again after two hours
it will take you a few days to get to 10 million but i think it reduces your chances of getting banned by a lot
Half way mark.
No ban in sight.
While I wait:
What exactly is a .dll? What does injecting one do? Does it change the files in any way?
7 Mill mark
I seriously should have been banned by now.
Unless they go through logs manually before ban waves go out, the server should have realized what I'm doing at this point.
No one in their right mind would think a guy getting a money bag ever second for an hour while sitting still is normal gameplay.
Wouldn't be a problem if this game had content instead of low quality prizes for microtransactions/grinding your ass out.
But yes, anyone still playing this game is stupid, myself included.
Honestly kinda upset they can't just automatically detect this shit with some script.
>GTA V announcement trailer was 4 years ago
>Remember the hype and happiness inside of you
>It lived up to expectations, and is still a great game today
Can't say I've ever been more satisfied with a game like this. Thanks, Rockstar.
Bought a Yacht and a T20.
No one's ever added me. I've asked here like five times.
I've posted all of this over on double chan as well. A guy over there told me that reports don't do shit.
I'd like to find out.
Report me if you want. I've actually lost a little faith in R* after I've been able to get away with all of this.
>what is there to do?
its pretty simple, you said "every attack chopper", and im not going to say LOL HELICOPTER EVERYONE TO DEATH! I mean, one of them isn't useable without friends, so get some.
Get friends, hang out with them. I hang out with gtag, they're the reason I play the game, and the amount of bullshit/funshit that happens when I hang out with them warrants me playing this.
Money isn't everything, especially in this game, it sucks the fun out of everything.
>was a bit hyped, but not preorder hyped because im not retarded
>game gets released
>didnt buy it, cousin downloaded it onto my PS3 using his account
>beat SP, was the shittiest SP in any GTA game ever
>MP gets released
>cant even play for along time
>can finally play online
>bought Koenigsegg/Entity first week and everyone always ran for it in missions
>2 months into the game and im bored
>hangout with PS3 gtag and its fun
>1.5 years later, join PC master race
friends make this shit game fun, anyone who says otherwise is a fucking lier.
Howdy /GTAG/, my name is Kenichi Smith.
I'm a 27 year old Japanese Toonaholic (Cartoon fan for you foreigners). I draw cartoons and comics on my tablet, and spend my days perfecting my art and playing superior American games. (Grand Theft Auto, Gears of War, Call of Duty).
I train with my AP Pistol every day, this superior weapon can shoot straight through steel because it kicks ass, and is vastly superior to any other weapon on earth. I earned my gun license two years ago, and I have been getting better every day.
I speak English fluently, both the Midwestern and the East Coast accents, and I write fluently as well. I know everything about American history and their Constitution, which I follow 100%.
When I get my American visa, I am moving to New York to attend a prestigious High School to learn more about their magnificent culture. I hope I can become an animator for Nickelodeon or a game designer for Rockstar Games(TM).
I own several cowboy outfits, which I wear around town. I want to get used to wearing them before I move to America, so I can fit in easier. I keep cool to my elders and seniors and speak English as often as I can, but rarely does anyone manage to respond.
So /gtaog/ do you actually play GTA Online like a GTA game?
How many cars have you stolen today?
Do you just sit waiting for the mechanic?
Anything interesting, at all?
Fair enough. I just accepted the invite to GTAG, so that should be fun.
I just showed off the yacht to a few guys, and drove around in the T20. Never drove one before now. I can understand how people say they're OP in races.
So, when should I expect a ban if it's going to happen? I'm disappointed that it didn't autoban me, but they could still catch it in the logs.
Bans only happen on banwaves, but no one really knows how Rockstar detects who should get banned and why they don't do them earlier.
Banwaves only happen shortly after Cuckstar churns out a new update.
>Kojima wants to make good games
>Sony/Konami just care about money
>Implying that companies can't pull Hollywood big-budget bullshit on developers that just want to make games
90% of the time it's the publishers being fuckwads, and you can guess where the majority of the money goes...
>Shark Cards were Take Two's idea
So we'll say I've got a full month before something happens?
So... let me get this straight.
I just spawned in TEN FUCKING MILLION DOLLARS.
The MOST you can actually buy from R* with REAL LIFE MONEY is 8,000,000.
As they should see it, I just cost them over $100, and they aren't going to do shit about it for over a month?
No wonder why they don't give a shit about things like this happening:
i knew you couldn't store them but this is the first time i hear of that
It happened to me recently, it was fucking ridiculous. I saw a rhapsody on the road, dragged the person out of it and then got in and then immediately got right back out and when i tried to get back in the door was locked.
You had to download them as DLC, then add a decently sized patch back on dedgen. The DLC cars didn't appear on the street until nextgen and PC, sort of like how you don't see Kurumas , Insurgents, and vindicators driven in trafffic by NPCs.
>can't drive on rims
>needs straight-line speed to compensate for his terrible driving
>calls others kids and memers
Do you ever get tired of plowing into NPC cars the first time the mission GPS throws a turn at you?
But it's not more expensive if you would just buy some Shark Cards™. They're a quick and easy way to supplement your ingame bank account while draining your real one, and they have such a good exchange rate for doing so. You should really buy some soon just in case a new update comes out.
>Can't log in to social club
>Try their password reset thing
>It doesn't work, what a surprise
>Send their support an e-mail
>Tells me about some automatic ticket created on their support site
>Go to visit that
>Have to log in using my social club which doesn't work
Who thought this system was a good idea?
So you see absolutely no problem with having the only method for getting in contact with Rockstar's support service being locked behind the problem that's occurring in the first place? Are you legitimately retarded by any chance?
Your problem could be solved by not being stupid. You don't need support to change your password.
Wow, it's almost like I just fucking said that I already tried their shitty password reset function and it didn't work. Thanks though, anon. I never would have thought to try something I already tried. I don't know what I would do without you.
Thanks for answering my question, though. That's most definitely a resounding "yes"
I heard you can unlock the content for returning PS3/X360 players on PC without the social club bullshit, how do you do it? I played GTA V on console offline (can't connect it) so I'm cucked. Any help?
That was patched, you'll need someone to make you a throwaway PSN account.
The only time i had some fun with a mass-crew thing was when we were robbing every store in paleto with insurgents.
>circlejerk indoors, nothing happens
>circlejerk outdoors, random cheater appears and blows everyone up
or on the rare occasion a legit random player starts sniping everyone, then get the gangrape and [passive].
Every single time. Nothing else could happen, there is nothing in this game. At this point, stealing the orange from that shop on the mountain would be more fun than any of the heists.
all they had to do was make it so I could load this shit into freeroam.
what are you retarded? Do you hate fun?
You would only need one loaded in at a time, the server could even vote or submit their own etc.
My bet is gta6 will support something like it.
We're up to two pages now on requests for PC, POST YOUR SC IN THE THREAD WHEN YOU SEND AN INVITE.
I think this whole thing might do me well in the end, it's literally like coming out of addiction for me. I have a new focus on my goals for my certification and am looking out for odd jobs and hustling for dosh with my brother. This held me back for sure.
Maybe this can all blow over some day, but for now I'm going to autistically log in when shirts and hats are on the table then get off and back to real life.Fuck the last few weeks I had a lot of fun before that but it's time to move on.Thx the good times
I put every single weapon besides returning exclusive ones on here.
What's it gonna be.
Should I keep this up?
Why isnt this a thing? You are saying it like if it is a difficult decision or somethin. You should reject them after 2 days to keep things clean. If they havent threw their shit around in these threads to get accepted on day1 they are unlikely to do it later.
And here you have it.
Seriously though, should I keep this up.
Oh yeah each roll is 100 seconds.
You gotta wait for your results.
Or you could just change it in the bottom.
> Take Two have revealed that sales of Grand Theft Auto products since July 1st 2013 through September 30th 2015 have accounted for approximately $2.3 billion in revenue.
> In fact, over the past 6 months ending September 30th 2015, Take Two have generated $400 million from sales of Grand Theft Auto products. This is around 2/3rds of all revenue generated by the company during that 6 month period so it shows that Grand Theft Auto continues to be a money maker for Take Two and this is mainly thanks to the success of Grand Theft Auto Online where more than 8 million play each week and purchase ‘Shark Cards’ in order to gain in game currency.
You actually can do most of that with a menu.
No. I can make a dummy account with a quick email, use the SC info to attach the gamertag after I do the first two SP missions while connected to the internet. Gold is only for playing games multiplayer, not for being connected to the internet.
EVERY. DAMN. SESSION.
I've been hopping sessions all night. Every single one of them had at least someone that was in god mode/spawning shit/making everything on the map explode.
I honestly don't even think R* is tracking people spawning in money anymore. A friend of mine actually tested this by downloading a menu and giving himself 10 mill over the course of an hour. It's been three weeks. No ban. Dude has a yacht at rank 10.
Look, I understand the game is peer-to-peer. Yes, this means things can't be tracked as well when compared to a game with dedicated servers. BUT! That doesn't mean they can't do anything. R* has some of the best game devs in the world. You're telling me they can't do SOMETHING?
>police use batons, only fire guns if players is armed or 2+ stars
>police shoot to kill for a car crash
>never once use batons throughout the entire game, SP or otherwise
I'm sure that's the cue for "JUST LIKE REAL LAPD AMIRITE" jokes but honestly NYPD are just as fucking trigger-happy.
Technically correct, they will not shoot at one star but all it takes to get them shooting is getting into a chase or otherwise delaying the arrest for even the slightest period.
The police is fine IMO, other than the fact they're omnipresent and R* cheesed out on their PIT by simply coding it when a cop rams your butt your wheels automatically turn, so they don't have to actually PIT..
Even then, that's only if they are close enough to be able to drag you out of the car without having to move more than five feet. If they have to advance on the car they'd much rather just fill it with lead.
I only mentioned SP in regard to batons. You'd think there would be a scenario where a mission spawns cops with batons, but no, they're always just shooting at you.
>npc puts bounty on me
>random guy explodes me in the stolen car
>too hot faggot, can't store or modify
>car is gone
For a game called Grand Theft Auto, you really don't get much out of car theft.
Flib, its Desanthian here, if you're still doing returning player benefits, find yourself a modified save so you can copy it onto a new user account each time instead of actually doing that terrible prologue repeatedly.
stolen cars in gta have always been disposable in nature
i never understood why they bothered to put customization features in san andreas when half the cutscenes in the game will make whatever you were driving vanish without a trace
I've always been paranoid about hackerbux but I can tell you my experiences.
>How much can you safely receive
My friend got 10 million and kept it for around 6 months, before spending it on a yacht. I've never held more than 2 million at a time, but always sink most of it into something expensive so I'm not holding onto riches for too long.
>How often can you receive hackerbux safely
I always leave hackers after getting about 2 million from them, and immediately spent it on nice things until I have like 500k left.
I've encountered about 8 generous hackers and have never been detected.
>Are there any 'undetectable' ways of receiving hackerbux
Most likely not, although I've never been touched.
If you're extremely paranoid, you should do what I do - buy an Enus Windsor (or other extremely expensive car) or two/three/four/more and store them in a single garage.
If Rockstar takes your money from you, or you feel like they're not going to, then sell these "moneycars" once an hour. You'll lose maybe 100k a car, but that's a small price to pay for having guaranteed money.
Nobody's ever said that R* took their cars.
>Nobody's ever said that R* took their cars.
R* does take cars, as has been evidenced by the first money glitches as people filled up their garage with Adders to sell and they were replaced by those fake Mini Coopers.
Really? Interesting. I've never seen such posts, but I believe you.
Then I've no idea why my multiple stagnating Windsors haven't been touched after all this time. Perhaps it's just the Adder that's been red-flagged. Or my spending habits.
I reckon if people just do what I do then they'll most likely be safe too.
They remove dupes, they don't remove proceeds of a crime faggot, so if you spend it they can't take it, but your ban chance is higher.
i'll add a few more tips:
Rockstar actually record everything now, every time you pick up money the Transaction Pending process actually saves all the information to rockstar servers, so if they were to look for high amount of moneybags they could catch about 95% of money spawning, but they simply don't, incompetence or lack of effort on their part.
Banking the money gets you a high earner flag on your account, this can get you checked, simply keep it on hand.
money spawning hasn't been safe at all since 1.27 and even more so since
and i'm pretty sure rockstar have detected some form of injection and that's the result of the last few banwaves, that or godmode, both are likely contenders. so using menus at all isn't safe until someone properly looks into the changes of 1.31 and this takes time, people using menus 12 hours after a big patch are absolutely stupid, and the menu creators should know better than to fix addressing and release it as [undetected].
Well yeah, I don't really have any proof because lol 4chan but it certainly does happen. It actually happened pretty recently with someone that glitched 10 Adders on PS3 and then put his character over to PS4. They all became Mini's. I never really did overdo it though, they never "caught" me.
>incompetence or lack of effort
>Oy Mr. Goldstein, should we hire two people to check the logs and ban cheaters?
>How much would that cost us, Schlomo?
>Two seconds worth of ShekelCards, Mr Goldstein.
>Schlomo, you idiot! We are not spending that much for something that only benefits PC players!
I think the main reason I've never been taken action against is that I've always kept my intakes to below 2m per hacker, while most people take as much as they can get.
I forgot to add my second method of slipping under the radar. I have a second character (pic related, Josiah) who I like to go on just in case I find a hacker. I'll bank like 500k and leave the 1.5m on Josiah, then switch characters.
According to my Social Club page, all the data for money intake is only per character, so Josiah's data is effectively hidden (at least from the public) for now.
As well as the cars, my other storage is Josiah's "on hand" money, should I feel like switching to him and banking another menial amount.
What are your thoughts on this?
>can literally pay 10 dollars and get 100mil, any rank, unlocks etc from a transfer service
>I literally give them away for free most days
>People still use menus and get banned instead
baka desu senpai
The hesist with first-time bonus and a couple of missions give you enough money to buy the most expensive house and a couple of nice cars. Anything beyond that is just fluff.
Filling the game with shitters who constantly godmode, blow people up or crash them just so you can buy an overpriced car is not worth it.
Step it up
I know I have a really big one in RDR because I fell of one of those really big cliffs but basically just rolled along the side, but how do you even do that in GTA? I never even noticed I did that
this is a lie
They take all money regardless, I was banned and they left me with exactly 20k, which was nice of them.
However, they don't touch your garage or your pegasus, so go fucking crazy m8. also m p g h
You're trying to upset me and it's not going to work
Just try running down a steep mountainside. You will trip and roll forever.
>host locks camera view at first-person
>gets mad when a bunch of low levels keep dying and complaining about being unable to switch 3rd view
randys are adorable.
can I boost sports cars and muscle cars from NPC then sell them during my online session? does it give some good money and does it decrease if you steal the same car over and over?
I feel like doing some old GTA playstyle right now: getting at the docks with the car, get rich and buy a flamethrower
Some stats are fucked, no way I got that many bounties either.
FOV is too small, you should be able to see a little more
Rear mirror is a joke, can't anticipate cops that way
Limo windows are horrendous if you want to look sideways but it's understandable
Its pretty good but much harder since the game is clearly designed for causal thirdperson.
>using cover is hard as fuck
>mounted weapons are almost impossible to use when offroad
Its fun once in a while.
Yeah I can agree with this, after all first person was just implemented as a feature and wasn't really built with the game, making it feel not as right as it should. Still super comfy though.
If you recently got perm cucked by a banwave (like me) and are returning on a new account or simply aren't a high level/well off, I can provide you with a character transfer to your account and you can do with it as you like.
Generally they're all rank 100-130, and a little under 100mil, most unlocks & a bonus cop outfit, as usual you get a redesign when you first start select the character so you can make them look how you want, and I don't need your account information, you simply link the provided throwaway psn account with your SC and transfer your new character onto it, after that you can unlink or not, I don't care the email wont be used again that is provided, and you do get returning player benefits for it.
you can't have used your transfer though, that's the only catch.
I'd prefer they go to active gtag players but who am I to judge.
currently nobody who has used a character from me since 1.31(when I started this) have been banned, and I can't imagine anyone ever getting banned for it unless you're stupid enough to brag in public lobbies or use a cheat menu
I've currently got a male and a female to give away, after that i'll have to employ a fee or people can simply wait a couple days until I make more spares.
gtagrecovery at gmail
You would be surprised.
people are either desperate and/or too lazy to mod a deadgen console themselves, but then again most don't own deadgen or the game on it and just want the insane amount of cash.
I've been selling a couple away from gtag but making crew pay is a bit too jewish for my tastes, I just don't want anyone to be left out after rockstars cuck waves and stuck with a new character.
it's safer than cheating with a menu anyway, especially with all the recent bans.
the snow may end ingame
but it started to snow here
Never knew this piece could come loose like this.
But that's not Nessi's car.
maybe at certain times, i have not had any problems yet.
Warehouse version is easier to find cheaper, but downloads from Rockstar's craptacular servers, so you might run into trouble when updates hit.
Steam version downloads from the much more reliable Steam servers, but doesn't go on sale as often. It also has M-MUH DRM if you're one of THOSE people.
They're both about the same, really. I went with Steam because of the convenience and reliable downloads.
I kinda feel cheated.
There was a guy in my survival game going full ham with a minimum. Gets like 90% of the kills every round.
Then I realized he was hacking as soon as I died and was able to spectate him.
Fucking god mode. Making people look cool and shit.
>getting 90% of kills
Yeah, only <20 levels and cheaters do that. You burn through ammo like crazy if you want kills, which is way too expensive. Survival is not even remotely profitable.
What is the problem? You don't find the weapon good?
I very recently upgraded into a 1440p screen. Seeing how much I have to scroll to see all of that picture, I now feel slightly cheated.
Then again, doesn't seem like anyone's doing affordable 32" 4K 144hz IPS screens yet anyway.
I did get a 10 day ban after selling moonbeams, but I also did some stupid shit during a pacstan run immediately before I got hit, so it might have been that
don't activate god mode, don't fuck with the wanted level system, don't use hax weapons/ammo and keep the lowest of profiles and you'll be fine
I'm hopeful, but also realistic. VR headsets, while not necessarily based on cutting edge tech, are a brand new type of product, and there's no guarantee yet they'll become commonplace. There's bound to be growing pains. The first iterations probably won't be much to look at (and I'm basing this on the Oculus Rift DK2, which I found pretty neat, but mostly just unimpressive), but if they don't flop entirely, I might consider one around 2019-2020 at earliest.
VR is shite. It's going to flop so hard that it will make the Vita look good.
The amount those morons are investing for nothing in particular is ridiculous, it's nothing more than an arms race because nobody wants to miss out on the slight chance of it succeeding.
Do you think normies are willing to pay 600/800/1000+ dollars for a pair of heavy goggles? Us neets/autists are not a profitable audience by any means.
>implying it's that much for VR goggles
Well, maybe, if you don't play it smart like Samsung. Goggles are $200 or something and you put your Samsung (TM) Galaxy (TM) S6 (TM) Edge (TM) + (TM) in it to make it work. So yeah, same price but plenty of people already buy that kind of expensive shit. And who's to say it will remain that expensive? Blu Ray players also were $1000+ when the PS3 came out.
3D tv's were expected to be a flop before they started selling them. VR looks promising, even with the obvious issues like motionsickness.
They are more in line with the gpu's power than 4k144hz tv's. They are simply not practical and the hardware requirements would give a lot more benefit if you are running a VR setup anyway.
Sure, the first ones will be garbage compared to what comes after, but from the look of things right now, its unlikely that 4k displays will be more common than vr.
At least for gaming, for medical and other biggame things, they are alredy widely used.
nigga, you can get the facebookVR for 300$.
Sony is using PS to push its other garbage. Many soniggers also have a Sony "Smart" TV and a Sony "Smart" Phone.
so then you're paying 200 bucks for a plastic minibox? google makes them out of cardboard even, but it's still just holding your phone close to your face. At least the VR goggles have an extra processor in them or some shit, it's not just putting a different kind of flashy things on a regular screen.
BR players were indeed expensive as fuck but with the rise of netflix like services the need for a dedicated player has almost disappeared now that you can turn any tv into a smart tv for $99. HVD players cannot come out at that pricepoint if the format ever wants to get to the everyday people.
Are you the same retard that claimed I also has a Sony Smart TV when I said I liked PS4 better than PC at the moment? Because you're retarded for assuming that, again.
Actually, it's $99, and I do think they have additional shit in them
>inside my yatch chilling and what not at night
>vip starts that one work where he hides and players need to find him
>dress up tacticol take helicopter and and fly really high on the zone his organization is around
>drop into the point, all black, parachute even, im completly invisible
>drop in top of a bulding, get in the ledge, pop out sniper rifle
>check out the zone, pop out a few kills, no one sees me
>got around ten kills easily, decide to go for the vip
>luckily i dont even have to move, i have visuals inside a garage, dude is running around like a retard
mfw easiest 18,000 of my life
>doing yatch prevention
>dropping proximity mines around the boat
>watch and laugh as people get inside and blow themselves inmediatly
>3D tv's were expected to be a flop before they started selling them
>its unlikely that 4k displays will be more common than vr
how can you not see it
people sit in front the TV to spend time at 0 effort, if 3DTVs flopped because they required some tiny glasses and lacked specific content what do you think is going to happen with a fuckhuge goggle/helmet that also needs even more specific content to be created for it?
4k is the next natural, effortless step
And all of my friends are hardcore Sonyggers, and they all have Samsung non smart TV's :^)
This kind of anecdotal evidence proves nothing, and Europe has a 70-90% PS4 market share so you'd think Sony Smart TV's would be selling shittons too.
Sure, its going to be the next step for tv's, but for gaming its going to be a thing before 4k becomes the standard.
3dtv's were insanely overpriced and the "immersion" was minimal.
vr has a lot of backing from big names and there is alredy plenty of content.
Maybe you are right and it will be a minor niche like hotas controllers, but it seems to have potential.
My soniggers have them, your evidence is as good as mine. I honestly dont give a shit as its offtopic and doesnt involve any topics that interest me.
>vr has a lot of backing from big names and there is alredy plenty of content
please name them
I don't mean this in a bad way, other than FB, HTC, Samsung and Sony I can't name any manufacturers, and other than tech demos I haven't heard from any big games coming out. I genuinely want to know.
looks like a prostitute
dunno about the thing riding her back though
Steam for one. Then you have nvidia, who will use it to push the new cards.
Most games that came out recently can do VR with minimal changes.
Noone is going to create games specifically for VR, that would be insane. Its going to be an optional feature.
I thought the Steam one was made by HTC, the logo is all over their page
and again, even if it works well, the VR aspect is just an afterthought, why would you buy one of these things if you can play the games with the equipment you already have?
also this, from Nvidia themselves: http://www.bbc.com/news/technology-35220974
Yeah, HTC Vive uses Valve's VR research. They were pretty heavy into it at one point and very secretive about it, rumour was that Valve intended to release their own headset at some point. Didn't end up happening.
HTC Vive is the consumer's best bet for high-end VR headsets at the moment. Oculus Rift was acquired by Facebook, and while everything seemed just fine at first, they've since decided to start pushing proprietary limitations on the VR headset market. They're trying to buy exclusive rights to certain games, rig up their own gaming marketplace etc. Turn it into another console war-ish situation. We shouldn't want that.
This is a crapshoot, the game likes to assume rolling down a hillside is an instant kill. I assume it's so players don't get trolled spending half an hour ragdolling down Chilliad, but it's a joke when you consider how often ragdolling fucks up and traps you in other places.
Doesn't ragdolling for too long auto kill? Saw some guy fall of the containers in one of those Sniper vs Stunter maps, but he was caught between two open doors of said containers and he he died for no reason like 10 seconds later
And Steam insists on running in the background, shitting up system resources, so it's a catch-22 situation.
J*'s shitty setup program and servers were totally bricked on PC launch day, so I downloaded a torrent and the setup just recognized the existing files, no problem. Fair point about slow patching, though.
I guess FB has more than enough money to do what they want, and they are betting on having the best platform to push the Oculus to the public.
A console war situation is actually beneficial for the consumer, look at how good the xbone has become after being in the shit for a full year. Feature wise it runs circles about the PS4. And remember last gen when they were toe to toe for the most part, every year each system had a big feature ready for us. What we have to avoid is the behind the scenes propietary code bullshit, that only benefits the FB finances. Also remember that HTC/the rest would do that if they could.
I did hear about HTC pushing it back around 6 months because of a "breakthrough" that was significant enough to justify shitting up the product plan entirely.
They didn't state it, but when the $10M jet dropped everyone loudly assumed it was because of hackerbux, when R* were already planning these bullshit overpriced add-ons anyway. Look at the pre-PC add-ons like the "I'm not a hipster" update. $120-200k for sedans, for fuck's sake.
Yep, exactly that, but the kind of dodgy collisions that can leave you trapped like that can also not trigger the auto-kill, usually because you get stuck in a falling animation. Meanwhile, perfectly legit ragdolling down a hill fucks you over because you stumbled on a steep rock.
Moreso early on when the menus had more options and the hackers were fare more interesting people than just blowing up servers and spawning money, the current menus are cheapo nigger bullshit, just like your average skiddie.
>A console war situation is actually beneficial for the consumer
If it was just simple competition, I'd agree, but Oculus/Facebook are being particularly heavy-handed about it. They're attempting to create arbitrary limitations and divides on consumer choice here. These are PC games that have no reason to not work on a wide range of VR headsets.
It's kind of like monitor manufacturers trying to prevent certain games from running on competitors' screens by tossing money around. Run an Acer screen? You're not playing Tomb Raider any time soon. Asus gets GTA5, Qnix grabs War Thunder and World of Tanks, LG somehow ends up with everything Blizzard etc.
Obviously there's little chance this will stick for long, if at all to begin with, but it's disturbing enough that they're trying. I'd rather support the more open alternative from the start. Lesser of two weevils.
Shit's mine, dogg. I'm pretty sure Nessi's assless vette is blue.
A VR is not just the screen, it comes with its own dedicated hardware behind it, even if it still needs to connect to a PC. I already said that behind the scenes competition is what we should avoid.
How did R* fuck up so badly with character customization?
Page and Amanda are hot as fuck, so why can't my waifu not look like a crack whore?
Paige isn't, but Amanda is qt af for a milf.
Just imagine when she was younger.
Eh... I can see it.
The body model, maybe. But that's just because she has the biggest breasts in the game.
Actual hottest girl is pic related. If I could recreate her face and post sliders here, I would be a happy man.
>The bitch who fucked over my boy Niko
I'm still salty.
I always figured she looked a lot like pic related back in her stripper days, the resemblance is pretty uncanny
>put Niko in contact with ULP which ultimately led him to Darko Brevic
>ruined the plot
Cool story bro.
It's never actually cleared up who cheated first, Michael claims he fucks hookers because Amanda hates him, and Amanda claims she cheats because Michael's so disconnected all the time.
