Of course your 9.2 downgrades don't work as expected. This is the same issue that happened in the past with sysUpdater and updating your shit when using CFWs that weren't pasta/rxTools devmode.

Process9 checks NATIVE_FIRM versioning differently from all other titles. AM:DeleteTitle may delete the files for NATIVE_FIRM, but that's not where Process9 looks for NATIVE_FIRM. Process9 looks at the currently running NATIVE_FIRM -- at the time of the downgrade: 10.2 (10.3 didn't have a new one).

Process9 sees that your NATIVE_FIRM is newer than the 9.2 one (which is actually just 9.0). The reason why the installation of a NATIVE_FIRM "works" is because the InstallNativeFIRM call doesn't error for some reason and because there's no older title data in the way.

They can upgrade them back, I guess. There's a chance that half-downgrading further down and using a cart to update back to something below 9.3 would fix the NATIVE_FIRM. There may be more magic that only Nintendo knows and does with their mset updater, which is why your emuNAND breaks with sysUpdater but doesn't when using the official updater in mset. No guarantees, though.

There might be something to it, using an emunand to construct a pure nand that just werks might be viable if you could get away with overwriting the sysnand with it.
This reminds me of the business with the ps3 where you would need to install an OFW to purify something i forget the name of, ideally this would be a 3.55 -> 3.55 OFW install.

So you take an emunand, downgrade it to 9.0 then have it search for updates on a proxy imitating nintendo update servers and let it update itself to 9.2.
For viability tests you could forget the proxy and let it feed on 10.3, it's an emunand so who gives a shit.
Purpose being to see if it fixes whatever the downgrade is fucking up.
If it does, the next step is to proxy the downgraded 9.0 3ds into installing 9.2, forgetting the emunand altogether.

about 6 hours ago we noticed someone released an alpha build of memchunkhax2+sysupdater on github. many anons rushed to use it and most if not all were successful in downgrading to 9.2. Great news right? Wrong. Basically the updater we used wasnt finished so we dont have proper access to kernel shit. You cant install CFW as NONE of the entrypoint work(the browser, homebrew) but you can install legit CIA's through FBI.3dsx(which is the a very small selection of only popular 1st party nintendo stuff that were sold in console bundles)

6)run homebrew launcher
