Strat was to have Red XIII alternate between Attacking Greg and Magic Breakdown with an Armor Breakdown at the beginning to get things going. Vivi was to use Ruinga as a charger for the eventual magic boosted waterja. Tidus was there for the initial boost of damage to get to 50% asap and reta attacking greg, Lunatic High used asap. Lenna was to use Shellga immedietly and curaga mostly every turn unless Exdeath missed or used doom, she would then use the candle sb when shit was going down. Greg was Tauntulate until morphing time. Used Sentinal RW and used at 90% and 40%, Shellga reapplied during a (hopeful) break from healing around 45%-50%, if Dispell or Counter-Dispell was used it was an s/l.

RNG blessed me with lots of initial misses, lots of attacks to greg, and a couple of doom uses (twice on Lenna). Vivi's Magic boost ended and had a Lunatic High near 15% but decided to go for broke and instead continued waterjas and used attack on greg. As you can see, just barely made it, any AOE Magic and it would have been over.

Concentration and Mana Spring have a I and II version, as does stuff like Gore Stained Blade, implying that there are two versions to obtain.

She is strictly worse than Faris. The fact that she can't use Breakdowns is a huge minus for a support character. The dancer AOE debuff abilities are solid for multi-target boss fights, but Faris is better at that also. She's stuck being a dedicated fluffer until Machinist skills get released, which won't be for a few months.

It is quite possible to have stocked up mythril for a while and not get anything that works for the battle.

Arguably the go-to strategy (and one that should be default for anyone who doesn't have the best of SBs) though is just running a full party of mages. I'm just saying it's kind of deceiving that someone says "fully F2P :D" and then proceeds to use a strategy that is pretty much meant to be used by people who were lucky enough to draw, say, a group heal.

Dark Knight is probably one of the better initial DPS classes off the top of my head, then there's Samurai which you can unlock by beating Odin required by the game's progression.

Paladin is the most boring job in the game. It gets slightly less boring after 50 but it fits the hole of braindead easy tank. If you want a more fun tank try Warrior or Dark Knight. Warrior is the favorite for a lot of people because of it's high damage potential as well.

For DPS if you want to pull off high numbers, Black Mage is good I think when you're pulling off Fire 4's. Bard is alright but just remember you lose some DPS because of your support skills.

For the past 3 events, I received multiple 5 star unique record for each event. Hell, I think Santa gave me luck for those 2 months. I gotten both Cecil and clouds SSB, Lulu's hairpin, Fenis' bow and a second Runeblade for Ashe. I've only spent 10 dollars my whole time playing this game and I payed back when first started for more equipment space. I didn't pay anything after that.

The timer is a complete non-issue. By day 5 I had completed all the main quests and had less than ten sidequests and a handful of canvas of prayers requests left to do and I'd also killed about half of all the Last Ones in the game. Just fight whatever enemies you come across and you have more than enough Chronostasis to do whatever you want.

Also I just unlocked elite trials that say they are level 35 or so and my team is around 15-17 and I have a few tasks to do these. Are they too hard right now?

Do quests. Going out to the fields can be good as well. If you can do the elite trials, go for it. Type-0's combat system means if you know what you're doing you can take down enemies much stronger than you.

Also, don't sweat too much about using your time poorly. There's a ton of NG+ stuff that the game expects you to do.

Do not underestimate the importance of physical mitigation. One unmitigated Vacuum Wave can easily instagib your casters. That being said, I don't have a wall relic, but protectga/shellga/SG RW was enough to survive and get Mastery. If you have R2 Carbuncle, use it. If not, Reflect + Magic Lure. Blitz him down with whatever your biggest damage sources are, whether it be Retaliate or whatever, and push him into Phase 2 as quickly as possible. Have your Reflect/Carbuncle up, and pray to RNGesus that he mostly just casts single target nukes and kills himself. If you feel like gambling, stop using Magic Breakdown and put a Faith on Exdeath to make him kill himself that much harder.

The second half of the fight will either be a cakewalk or impossible depending on RNG.

So I got the FFX/X-2 remastered edition for Vita this Christmas. Haven't even gotten to X-2 (not looking forward to it) but holy shit I forgot what a clusterfuck the Sphere Grid system is in X. It's great, in theory, but without levels it's almost impossible to tell if you're leveling up characters evenly. Which is terrible if you have OCD and want everyone leveled up perfectly.

I missed Rikku like all fuck, though. No regrets.

Nope. If they aren't currently in events (Auron is, though, he's in the 6th classic dungeon of the Rikku event), they're either in a Bonus Quest for a dungeon down the line or just plain not available.

Vivi is, I think, a first-time reward for Evil Forest (IX) in the 4th (?) set of dungeons, and the first few sets were glacial and pretty fucking long so that might take a while. Zidane just isn't available right now.

He's good in the sense that he can use any equipment and ability. His stats are atrocious but he is the only character that can fill literally any role, where you might need some obscure ability combination.

Not sure what you mean about the crystals though, they just automatically give you a permanent stamina increase when you get 5.

Tyro's stats are perfectly mediocre, there's nothing other characters can't do better. But he can use every piece of equipment and every skill in the game, so he has his uses if you want to use some combination of skills no other character can use.
Right now you can still use your stamina on the holiday festival, it's very easy and gives good XP and money. Once that is over, do the event of the week as far as you can then do the story dungeons, dailies on Sundays for the XP and otherwise when you need specific orbs. Don't waste Mythril on stamina refreshes, it's rarely worth it and certainly not while your stamina pool is still that small.

The "main character's" main niche is being able to equip anything, so the Keeper can fit in any role. Stats are sub-par, though- without the special banner unique tomes, most game characters are always going to be stronger.

While you're early in the story missions, you can get stamina shards easily - every 5 you collect refills your stamina and adds 1 to the max. So you want to time it if you can so you'll be around empty by the time you finish a dungeon with a stamina shard reward that will bring you to 5 shards - you can always see how much stamina a dungeon will cost, so you can do some event dungeons or something to bring your total down.

You've got some time still, so even if your team is low level now, you should probably be able to get the characters in the Final Fantasy V event. The classic dungeons are always geared more towards newer players - the highest difficulty is like 35, and the rewards are characters to build your roster. I'd say that you should try to grab them all, but balance that with boosting your stamina cap this early on.

As a note: synergy bonuses are when you take a character into a game realm they're from, and/or use equipment from a game realm. The characters get an effective +10 level boost (so even a base level 1 will be 11 in their realm), and the equipment becomes turbo-charged (variable depending on their item level).

Mythril should be spent on relic pulls and nothing else. Not stamina refreshes, not in dungeon heals and at least in the beginning not inventory expansions either. Saving 50 for the beginners banner might be a good idea, you'll get a guaranteed 5* item out of that one. After that save up to 50 then check http://ffrk.kongbakpao.com/events/ to see which items are up now and in the near future. Pull on the ones you like most. In the beginning you'll struggle just to get one 5* weapon for every character so you'll pull pretty regularly, once you have a solid collection you can start saving for longer periods.

Why does Sleep even exist in FFRK? I just did the ++ battle of the Lenna event, intended to cheese it with Sleep and an all mages team. Had one character dedicated to casting Sleep then Berserk. He died before Sleep hit even once. So I missed Mastery. Split Berserk and Sleep to different characters. Berserk hit, Sleep did not, for another entire battle. Is the official probability known? 5%? 10%?
