Why do people not consider alt pvp to be solo?

Whenever someone says they have a link or a falcon alt when they go roaming people always shout then down saying they aren't practicing “true solo” whatever that means.

I know you're gonna retort “its multiple accounts, its not solo!” If one person is running multiple characters it has to be solo as there's just a single person behind the controls. The number of accounts is irrelevant as its just one player.

To further add an alt player has to manage multiple accounts at the same time so he has more player stress placed on him in order to engage effectively. Having to watch and control multiple accounts at the same time actually requires more skill than only having to watch one account. In addition alt use has more risk involved. Command ships, tech 3 links, and falcons are not cheap. Using those ships requires them to be in space and be exposed to potential loss!

Yea a link alt gives ship bonuses but they are hard earned from the maintenance of a link alt skill queue and the double attentiveness in combat. Other things give bonuses too like drugs and implants. If someone invests in those are they no longer considered solo since they had more than base ship and skill bonuses? Of course not! No one thinks that way except when it comes to links.

You might say that falcon alts can't be considered solo as its more than one ship on the field. Again, there's just one solo player managing it all. In reality though you are just whining about ecm and how 'broken' it is. There are counters to ecm. Use them if you hate ecm so much instead of crying imbalance.

If you complain about alts and say "DATS NOT TRUE SOLO" then you are literally pissing and shitting yourself that someone invested more time, effort, and player skill into combat than you did.

It's plagiarism, and it's pretty scummy to take the bulk of someone else's work, sprinkle low-quality, low-effort details on top of it, and try to sell it, despite the original work being free. It's like taking a a classic novel at a giveaway, highlighting some passages with a marker, drawing a dick on the sides, and selling it to people who've never read it because they haven't heard about the giveaway. Let's be honest, people don't play cave story for the graphics, they play it for the sum of its parts. That sum is already contained in the original. Cave story+ is selling that original (which is supposed to be free) with tweaked content (which arguably isn't even good, just compare the soundtracks and the look of some parts).

I was never involved in any of the vidya affairs listed, or anything similar. These are just opinions I have as someone who likes Cave Story and believes in artistic integrity, and responsible consumer&business practices.

Hey guys. Im on the 1st day of my 21-Day Trial. Have done some research and found a video. Dude is basically saying;

You convert LP to ISK by buying items for LP (you can do it in any station belonging to your FW NPC corporation that has an LP store), then selling those items to players via the usual market.
How to do it exactly depends on what faction you've joined, where you live and what other stuff you have (eg hauling alts, you don't want to be moving expensive shit using your faction warfare character).
A lot of people I knew said they sold datacores. I just manufactured comets. At some point our alliance was buying VNIs, that was fairly convinient.

Plexes close and reopen (in fact, you need to wait for a plex to "complete" before you can get the payout from it), but you can keep coming to the same system if you find a nice one.
I suggest that you actually read a detailed guide on FW mechanics, though, it sounds like you're really confused.

if you aren't trying to plex your trial and just want to make the most money regardless of how long it takes, you should probably join minmatar now and make use of its bonuses (it's ahead) to get LP at the highest rate but don't sell any of it (because it's the easiest to get and has been for months it's the most devalued in ISK ratio). Hold it and sell it later when minmatar goes under to Amarr.

any time someone from an enemy militia enters the plex, the timer stops. that includes player ships and the npc ships that spawn to defend if you're offensive plexing (which you should). To get the timer going your way, you have to kill or force the other ship to leave.

this should help in finding quieter systems. make sure to use the filters to check which ones get more jumps over time and which ones belong to caldari (so you're offensive plexing)

you are day one, so you cannot do offensive plexes yet - you don't have the DPS.

You eventually need DPS because when you are capturing an *enemy* plex (oplexing), enemy npc ships (rats) spawn periodically and stop the timer until you kill them. novice - frig, small - dessie, medium - cruiser, large - battlecruiser.

when you are capturing a plex belonging to your own faction (dplexing) there are rats there but they are in your faction so the timer keeps ticking.

DPLEXING PAYOUTS SUCK!
they scale linearly based on the contest percentage of the system. if the system belongs completely to you already, you get NO LP AT ALL. if the system is like 99% contested (mostly captured by enemy but still barely belongs to you) even then you only get 75% of the payout you WOULD get from capturing an oplex of the same size.

NOTE: contest level has no effect on oplex payouts - oplexing is a flat payout computed from the size of the plex and the current tier of your milia, see pic related.

like i said, the pastebin has a fit that will quickly allow you to kill the destroyers in small oplexes.

Damn guys. Feels too good to be true. Im on my 1st day of my 21-day trial and i've already figured out the basic movement, warp, camera controls, joined faction warfare and made 44k Loyalty Points. It is like 2000isk/LP so i've already made 88mil isk.

Nah, you just use the tool people linked, check market prices to make sure it's right, buy up items, pawn them to buy orders in Amarr or Jita. Just remember not to autopilot with the valuable goodies, and don't fly them in flimsy slow ships.

Also, join /v/ bros and such, and talk to people there as you go. EVE's not hard to play but there are a lot of nuances to things.

Almost everything in the game is "pretty much gank-proof" if you fly it right.
Sure, nothing gives you a 100% guarantee of safety, but you weren't seriously expecting that in eve, right? RIGHT?
But yeah, blockade runners are real simple to use safely.
The drawback is that your cargo space is fairly low compared to even deep space transports (which are still really, really hard to catch if you know how to mwd+cloak warp).

Most dangerous, though? Poorly tanked T1 industrials are easily ganked by the likes of suicide vexors on gates and anything that's on autopilot is bound to die eventually.
I also wouldn't recommend taking freighters through popular trade routes unless you have a webbing alt.

I'm moving around in popular 0.5 sec systems scanning down and jumping into people's missions and salvaging everything.
