Nigga, 90% of this game is a buggy, rushed, unpolished mess. It's just a matter of dredging though heaps of ultra low effort, low budget shit, and then after half an hour suddenly experiencing an inventive, well constructed and original spook, and then repeating again. This is probably the most uneven game i've played in my life.

Yeah. It's definitely not a bad game. In fact there are several levels that are among the best levels you'll see in a Deus Ex game. And the whole Prague Hub is really good too.

The game pissed people off because it's relatively short compared to what people expect from DX game (still around 20-ish hours) and lacks those "wow" moments people learn to anticipate. There is just one hub, only about five or six main story missions, half of which are pretty short, rest is mucking around the hub. It also does not actually introduce any actual significant change to the formula. It still plays like a slightely more polished version of Human Revolution.
Worst of all though, the story is just weak. Outside of the settings being kinda silly, the main story is just a predictable political thriller that goes absolutely nowhere and feels like the game is just kinda flailing around.

None of it actually criminal. If this wasn't a DX game, people would be a lot more kind to it. And the core mechanics, as well as the level and mission design are still great, seriously, it's better than HR for absolute majority of time.

It's just that while it mechanically keeps the standard, it does not go anywhere, change anything, feels like it's stalling the franchise rather than expanding it.

If you'd bought the game full price you'd be pretty reasonable about being mad. But this cheap, if you treat it as a big, content rich expansion for HR, it's actually pretty good. Just expect it to go nowhere.

Dumb question, but I haven't actually bought anything on Steam in almost a year, so it slipped my mind. I have nothing in my wallet, and one thing I want to buy has a really dumb price that doesn't end in .00; is there an option when paying to take the exact amount? Or am I going to need to put up a certain amount and just have some leftover in my wallet?

Are there any good puzzle games? I really enjoyed Talos Principle and even The Witness was a lot better than I expected it to be. I have and love all of the Zachtronics games.

No, vanilla base is good. Just use UI/QOL/cosmetic mods. Gameplay mods are hilariously unbalanced and create ridiculous battles where you kill 15+ enemies in one turn.

Long War 2 shouldn't be used on your first playthrough either.

TW3 expansion pass won't disappoint you at all if you enjoyed the base game

Dogma could go either way. The vast majority of people on /v/ love it but there is a small minority of people who get absolutely butthurt when people enjoy/discuss the game, so I'd say your chances are good for the most part.

No idea about Nex

Divinity could go either way 50/50. You'll either enjoy it a fair bit, or play it for 15 minutes and not pick it up again, not because it's bad, but because you aren't in the mood to commit to a CRPG, especially after not fully understanding some of the character creation aspects.

It's short, but very fun, with challenging but not frustrating platforming and a nice combat system. 14€ are maybe a bit too much, but for 5.50€ is a great deal.

Hollow Knight, Bastion, Transistor, and Sleeping Dogs are what I've decided to snag this summer sale. I've been enjoying them all, honestly. Sleeping Dogs is a lot better than I expected.

And that's basically all I really want too, so my wallet isn't even hurting this time around. Feels good.

Bought EDF 4.1 and fuck me in the ass if the game isn't just pure unadulterated fun.
The price point put me off at first but I've already plugged about 12 hours into the fucking thing and I still haven't even played with any class other than ranger. It is kind of annoying though as it's forced the other games I bought straight into my backlog where hopefully they won't be forgotten.
