All the way back in 2012 Capcom said it wanted to reduce the development time on subsequent titles in the DMC series to 2.5 years. At the end, the article
speculates that according to this objective the next one would be released in the summer of 2015. That's exactly what happened. Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition was released in June 2015. So... when we add to this analysis the facts that:-

It's utterly idiotic to NOT expect an announcement this E3. I have personally placed Devil May Cry 5 to be squarely in Jan 2018. Haters, shitposters and pussies will deny all the evidence but have faith Devil bros.
