Movesets feel very limited and the game does an absolutely piss-poor job of teaching you how to play it.
It feels very shallow and clunky. Not "nice and heavy" clunky, but "slow and imprecise" clunky.
Really wish the tutorial was worth a damn. As is, it doesn't come even remotely close to preparing you for actual matches.

Overall, I'm finding it to be entirely mediocre. Not terrible, but definitely not worth full price. Maybe like 20-30 bucks.

I'm just saying that the game does a terrible job of teaching you what you can actually do. Sure, you can figure it out for yourself just fine, but it's still a major flaw.
Let me give you some examples.

Combat:

1. I don't recommend to anyone without a gamepad.Its unplayable with mouse to the degree that even if you do a practice match vs Bot and do nothing but block you end up a) still getting hit b) wild mouse movement like I seen in no game before

2. with a Controller its better but : they force you to hold down left fire during the whole fight which is what? a stalinistic method to offset advantage to k&m players or what?

3. Via both interfaces it still feels clunky and the delays from command to execution seem unintuitive.


The other things like game concept etc you have to like or not and be ok with the monetisation strategy and ubiplay etc but that you already know and i think its pointless to cry how the game has no meaningfull coop or even interesting pvp missions, perhaps even map progression during the fight like in BF1.

I belive it could be a rlly funny game if they can manage to make the controlls more snappy.

1. The servers are colossal dogshìt, more or less expected from the incompetent company that is Ubisoft.

2. The game's core combat mechanic is solely rock-paper-scissor. You don't even need to time your blocks or anything because parrying is rendered EXTREMELY useless due to three factors:

A) Everyone regenerates stamina like they're on steroids

B) Slower attacking classes are left out in the dust because they're simply too slow to do any serious follow-ups and

C) Having someone run COMPLETELY out of stamina doesn't make them helpless.

They can still block your attacks repeatedly and effortlessly WHILST recovering. Parrying may be useful against heavy swings but because of the game's inherent nature of pushing everyone to be as cheesy as possible, no one ends up using them in any serious fights (unless they're behind someone) as It's more safe just spamming fast swings instead. This system MAY have required some skill if it involved a fourth direction like the game was inspired from (Mount & Blade) but instead It's been casualized down to 3.

3. Every single even remotely "experienced" player you come across will (and you in due time) cheese, cheese and cheese even more because that's what win matches in this game. Fair fights in the middle of the map? Fùck that, I'm gonna sprint across the map with my dedicated running gear, capping points, recovering endless HP in the process from the few skirmishes i was forced to partake in and only actually attack when It's at least 1v3 and when I'm behind a guy.

4. The controls are surprisingly unresponsive. I've found myself literally ramming my mouse wildly to sides just to have my character repeatedly fail to block in those directions (whilst not doing anything else) and your character will also have an INCREDIBLY annoying tendency to swing his weapon 1-2 seconds after you clicked M1 if you did 'anything' else prior to it running/walking included. Dodging or rolling is also as fast and effective like taking a 300 kilo dump in your XXL sized adult diaper and then trying to spontaneously jump out of them with both of your ankles chained down to the ground to giant cinderblocks. My mouse would also just spontaneously stop working in the menus as well which could be the thing happening in-game as well. So far two friends of mine and a few other in the forums has had the same issue.

5. The game is STRICTLY Peer-2-Peer, meaning your personal gaming experience will flow in the wind every single time you decide to play. Dial-up, broken connections, ragequits.. You're forced to suffer through all of them in the form of giant 10+ second pauses (that also warp your characters around at the end of it) on a regular basis because Ubisoft was too greedy to get actual servers! <3

6. The way every match end is basically having one guy left on the enemy team lead you and your teammates on a 10 minute goose-chase around the map in endless circles as there's literally no chase mechanic or other implemented means to STOP them from doing this. The ONLY way you're gonna be able to catch someone running frantically away like a chicken with It's head cut off is doing SWAT levels of coordination with your team (which no one does) to block him off or just keep chasing and hope he does a mistake, taking a wrong turn etc.

7. The game has literally no multiplayer content. You got two modes which is team deathmatch and 1v1 duels and then another where you capture 3 points on maps with identical layouts. That's it.
