Loki's image is supposed to be being unidentifiable/his true form being unknown. His design's one where you can't tell if there's more black or more white in the pattern, giving the feeling that you can't tell which faction he belongs to. His design's motif is based on the dazzle camouflage used by warships in World War I, which was used to make the size and shape of the warships difficult to figure out. The horns sprouting from his eyes are based on parasites snails can get, and meant to stress the feeling that you can't tell how much independency he has/if he has any at all as well as invoking a bad feeling. Including Goro himself, it gives the feeling of "what's the real you?". The image for Laevateinn's grip is that of pliers, because the blade itself is extremely hot, so it can't be held normally.

In SMT4Apoc Satan is the combined form of Lucifer and Merkabah, the figureheads who perpetuate the war between Law and Chaos in order to keep YHVH firmly in power, again making him a servant of YHVH. He has become disillusioned with it all, though.

The problem I have with Revelations based interpretations is that the story itself is basically a hate track about Rome. People have to go to near impossible lengths to disassociate it with the idea of Rome, but no matter what it's dripping in verses that amount to nothing more than "fuck Rome."

It's the same as trying to get rid of how much Dante hated the Vatican and how much he hated the French when talking about the Divine Comedy. The worse hell gets the more French, Popes, and Cardinals you see.

However this is also part of the reason I prefer Kaneko's version of mixing The Divine Comedy and Paradise Lost, to the point where he split up the three faces of the devil between three interpretations of him as well as making ice powers part of his standard arsenal. He even managed to slip in things like having Satan retain the serpent look, have Lucifer resemble the original print drawings included with the Comedy, and Helel be a shining light as if it were pre-fall.

I thought the whole idea of that design was to let YHVH go through everything he's done to the other gods. As in, when Christianity prospered, previous gods were reduced to demons and animals.

It's an okay design, but it is way too gaudy in some places for my tastes.

I would have nixed the gold knuckle caps and made the gloves solid white, and gotten rid of the white trim all over the design. For the trim around the wrists, on the feet, and around the joints, make it silver instead of gold, and darken the silvery purple chest bits, or make them turquoise like his helmet's accents. As for the ankle armor, I'd make it the same shade of turquoise as his helmet. Also, simplify the X Buster, because that was an over-designed mess of lines compared to the usually simple design of previous games.

The Energy Scarf can stay though; that was the sweetest bit from the design, no doubt.

They're typically designed with the character they belong to in mind. This isn't like SMT's demons. Loki isn't an exception to that and he goes hand in hand with Goro.

I can understand feeling that way, but they are DLC, and the harsh truth is that they are more popular than P2. They're there as little fun callbacks, but DLC so they don't undermine the fact they're tied to characters.

I love the design, but I love it for its context in P5. I don't think it'd mesh well with SMT designs either.
I also prefer that P5 doesn't blatantly go SMT, since Persona =/= SMT, and both are better going their own way in my opinion.

I also don't think it's worth the shitposting and riots that'd ensue over "OH MY GOD GET THIS PERSONA SHIT OUT OF MY SMT".

The base Personas were stellar. The ultimates were a bit of a mixed bag. I really like Anne's, Ryuji's, Morgana's, Futaba's (even if it's basic as fuck), and obviously the Protagonist's and Goro's if that counts. On the other hand, Yusuke's is eh, Haru's is weird, but I got used to it so it didn't bother me, but Makoto's is a pure fucking trainwreck.
The enemy design in P5 was great though. Asmodeus looks fantastic, and Sphinx, Leviathan and Samael look great. Azazel and Bael are a bit weird, but they serve their purpose.
I'm very conflicted on Yaldabaoth though. On one hand I absolutely see where his design is coming from; He's the absolute embodiment of everything Law, and I do love me some robot angels, but the proportions are a tad weird so when you just see closeups of his tiny head it looks a bit odd - which they do a fair bit.
P5's character designs and the art in general is fucking top tier though. Soejima did great.

Probably it had something to do with the ideas either Angels could appear as men, there's also one of the forms of Angels that commonly appears in the Christian Tetramorph is a winged man. Also Also a lot of famous Christian art is done by Romaboos but also expressing Christian Mythology so it's altered to fit perceived Roman aesthetics.

Ever play a strategy rpg before?

Now have you played one that abandons every quality of life improvement that games have developed since 1987?

Stuff like you can't see stats on anything until you equip it, can't tell what classes actually do unless you take the permanant change on them, can only change classes mid battle from hitting the class change level, cannot save mid battle, the map you see before battle doesn't give you all the details you'll see once battle starts.

It's an aggravating terrible mess where you are forced to reload after buying equipment after you find out the equipment you just bought was either non-equippable or outright worse than what already had. Also no soft reset, you need to hard close and restart the game as there is no exit to title option either.

Oh and the game looks like complete ass in combat, it's the worst langrisser game in an abyss all it's own, the developer banded together and bought the IP just to develop it and they didn't know anything about making a game.
