So uh... now what?
Also dragons dogma thread I guess
>tfw someone rated my pawn at 3 stars
Is this common for this game?
Now go beat the game again, but make sure you're offline when you fight the seneschal.
>want to help out /v/ by renting some pawns
>all these shitty amazons and gruff mcbeardly dudes
Create some lolis god damn it
>fighting armored cyclops
>holding onto the back of it's neck to get it to knock it's helmet off
>sorcerer pawn keeps hitting it with lightning
>finally, the sorcerer stops casting long enough for it to do something
>it gets knocked down
FUCK YOU I'M TOSSING YOU TO THE LESBIAN BANDITS
Oh boy. I don't even know how you got the idea i was promoting those crack stealing shitters. And they say /pol/ is tinfoil.
Would you hire this ranger? I know she looks kind of generic, but I think the outfit looks pretty good together and her inclinations seem good to me. She wrecks shit as my pawn, I assume she would do the same with someone else.
>encounter helmed cyclops
>"np I read on /v/ you can get the helmet off by climbing on his shoulders and tricking him into pulling it off"
>climb atop cyclops
>"tis weak to magic" shout my pawns as they continually stunlock him with lightning spells
>seriously this guy keeps getting stunned every time and they keep spamming lightning
>spend like 15 minutes hacking cyclops to death because he's too stunned to take off his helmet
Is there another way to get the mask off? Holy shit
>strider is the CUHRAAAAAAZY vocation
Wait, so the initial vocations matter? I figured the other ones were direct upgrades.
Except for sorcerer of course, who can't seem to heal for whatever reason.
>On a cliffside
>"Such a fall would mean instant death" Or some such bullshit
>See an ogre
>AWWW SHIT NIGGA LET'S GO
>Hop on it
>Shakes me off
>Fall down the cliffside headfirst and dies in the most brutal manner possible
>Last save was a half hour ago
I should listen to the pawns more.
it recently came out for PC you dimwitted redditor. fucking underage cancer makes me sick. this is my first and last post in threads of this game as ive played it on ps3 already.
It's just a popular game. The game is nothing like Skyrim. Besides, this isn't even that bad. There's like 1 or 2 threads a day for this game that just had a PC release less than a week ago. Compare that to Fallout 4 or MGSV posting.
came out for pc which means mustard race can finally play a console exclusive.
also framerate improvements and no pop-ins is a huge bonus, i'm jealous, since i have a toaster and currently playin it on xbox360
each vocation has augments special to them most of the time. assassin might seem like an upgrade but you lose some of the striders awesome skills like helm breaker.
different vocations earn more stats than others when you level up. each vocation level itself earns more skills/augments, sometimes they are shared between them
assassin gains like invisibility and other trick abilities but also loses a few skills from strider
striders helm breaker/skull splitter is exclusive to them. which is like virgils little beowulf spinny air move
I made this heat map in excel for /vg/ when the original game came out that made it obvious at a glance where the good/bad stat gains were for each vocation, but now I can't find it. Maybe I'll make another one.
I won't sleep until the creator of this milf posts sliders.
I generally do this too.
Not because I have a hatred for lolis.
But because most people have such horrendously ugly looking ones with deep mature womanly voices that holy shit niggas what are you doing?
i already had it for 360 awhile ago but decided to play it since i like playin games that come out and theres a lot of discussion for it here.
warrior has its appeal but theres other vocations that are fun. honestly strider is probably my favorite
not to say check the wiki/google hurduur but i just open up the different vocation tabs and compare the stat gains per level.
but the whole min/maxin thing doesn't seem worth investing unless its your second character. i dont like havin to settle with a certain vocation for almost 50+ levels.
I wanna progress i nthe story but all I do is hunt big fucks
I personally prefer Challenger/Utilitarian on Ranger pawns so they make use of their bow and skills
Scather isn't bad but I'd prefer scather on strider pawns
Challenger/Mitigator or Utilitarian/Challenger seem to work I guess, I don't really use sorcerer pawns though
that whole kiss scene was amusingly awkward when your 2/3rds her height.
Or Hanna Marin from Pretty Little Liars.
Anything in particular I want to accomplish before killing Daimon for the first time?
My longbow is shit compared with the enemies I'm facing(Dragon's glaze) or my strength is shit(~1200 total), because Great Gamble is the only way I can cause any perceptible damage to most bosses. I want to kill Daimon and grind the BBI weapon LV.3 items until I get a good longbow.
Will this plan backfire? The enemy roster is updated once Daimon is defeated, right? Is there a particular chest with a LV.3 weapon that is easy to reach?
Kind of depends. Challenger is solid, but if you pick Mitigator and have AOE spells on your sorc, they will focus on wiping out groups of weak enemies at once, which can be nice. Utilitarian is nice as well.
>ended up getting cockhungry queen as my love interest
I know this is my own fault for not interacting with other characters enough or whatever, but damn do I worry about all the STDs my character must have now.
I just killed the Ur Dragon
That fight is full of ass, who thought it was a good idea to put weakpoints on the wings?
I'm playing as Magic Archer and he gave me the Daggers I wanted, is it normal?
Also, how good are the rewards on the online version? Should I invest my autism in it?
>having the audacity to complain about a cock hungry queen
nigger I got Fournival
>is it a good role-playing game?
eeew, not in a narrative level
story and characters are shit anyway
>is the game play good?
>does it have T E C H N O L O G Y ?
It does, the AI stuff behind the pawns is quite crazy
Rate my adventurers.
Also, is there a place where I can buy an especially fancy hat for my pawn? He is in dire need of one.
Because it's neat. Telling you what happens would lessen the effect.
When you fight the seneschal in NG+ it's a random arisen & pawn from online. If your pawn access is only set to friends only though, the seneschal is one of your friends and their pawn. If you fight the seneschal while offline, they're your arisen and pawn from the last playthrough.
Personally I think it ruins the entire theme, and that they should've made the NG+ offline Seneschal be a random Capcom arisen/pawn instead of you. The entire point of you playing as this arisen, is that you're the only arisen to realize how pointless all this shit is, and that there's no need to have some being watching over everything just to bring death and destruction unto billions of people.
I'm playing through as a mystik knight, I'm level 32 now I think, and I haven't even touched the staff stuff.
Is it far toooo late for me to start using the spells on the staff? Or am I good to swap over to the staff to try it out, I was thinking of even playing soc for those awesome spells, but only if my stats aren't utter shit.
Would you go adventuring with my magefu?
Is that your pawn? Because I've seen an almost identical Orc walking around my Grand Soren.
R8 my BroQuest tribute pawn m8s.
Alright senpai, i trust in you.
I'll give this sorc shit a go.
After restarting, I think I'm set.
Fighter is really fun and I may stick with it the entire games aside from trying other vocations out for the augmentations.
Which would benefit me the most?
why didnt you tell me there were templar gear /v/?
looks over stats, always
What are the points of no return for sidequests?
I know that once you finish the Everfall stuff, everything in Cassardis is automatically canceled. Same goes for everything else before the final confrontation with Salvation. Are there other instances between those two points where sidequests can be lost forever?
I did, from 4 people.
Got 5 stars and bunch of knowledge from 2 guys, along with 7k RCs each.
Got nothing from the other two and 0 stars, no knowledge gain either. I don't know what happened.
and my pawn hsn't been hired a single fucking time :(
When they ask you to rate the pawns they give every rating an automatic 3/5. most people are too lazy to rate so they just mash through it giving the 3 star ratings. Myself included.
The entire point of you playing as this arisen, is that you're the only arisen to realize how pointless all this shit is, and that there's no need to have some being watching over everything just to bring death and destruction unto billions of people. That's not it, everybody that beat the game also uses godsbane but it doesn't work, which is why the seneschal pulls the godsbane from his heart to hand to you, so that you can kill him and become the next link in the endless chain
Wait, so advancing through ANY of the stages will automatically forfeit any quests you have yet to complete in the previous stage?
Killed the dragon and now the world is 100% safe. I guess my adventure is over. It's true what they say familia, it's not about the destination but the journey.
Guess I'll retire somewhere nice like the Gran Soren slums with my QT 3.14 pawn.
>when a pawn talks back to you
i need serious help because i can't stop
I can't tell if I'm just not getting my rewards yet or if nobody rented my pawn at all.
0x00000013 for HBAO+
Looks a bit overblack on some of the grass, but I think it might be my curves on Reshade causing it and not the AO itself.
Overall, it improves the looks basically everywhere.
Does the seneschal change depending on that? I thought it was really neat when it was revealed to be the guy you played as in the tutorial, I assume online it's a random Arisen? Like an Old Monk deal?
I just started NG+ and want to do every side quest this play through.
The wiki says Stage 1 side quests are all before the hydra quest, but I can't get any of them except search party. Can I do all the stage 1 side quests at stage 2?
> want to smash shit with a bigass sword
> may as well make my guy look as much like Guts as possible
> one of the character presets is him down to the fucked up right eye and scar on the nose
Also, I got the quest to help childhood friend girl after she went to the woods to find herbs to cure my "Dragon ate my fucking heart" problem, and while the lizard men in the well didn't cause me too much trouble, the bandits" the hill to the forest are wrecking my shit in just a couple hits. Should I get to the city and gear up first, or just git gud?
I'll grab an ice oriented Sorcerer pawn then. What really fucks me up is the skeleton mages flinch locking me while I try to get to them. Then when they finally die all my pawns are nearly dead from being down so long. I might just let them die to kill him from the platforms. He of course one shots me.
>"If Reynard is not rescued during the initial encounter from the Goblins en route to The Encampment, he will be removed from the game until New Game+."
>I somehow didn't run into him in the ten times I ran from Cassardis to The Encampment and back
Fuck it, I'll just 100% the game on NG+.
There's not much to compare it to, people always say monhun/dark souls, but it's absolutely nothing like DaS except for the art direction in the DLC area.
I haven't played any monhun game, but people say its not really similar either.
On my third PC playthrough now, am I /fa/?
>tfw all the pawns online are trash
Thanks, I think the thing I'm having problems with is that the feedback you get from taking hits seems off. Some guy shoots me with a bow and sends me flying, and I'll take a small chunk of damage, but those fighter bandits can take off a third of your HP with one swing and my guy doesn't even flinch.
My pawn has brought home 250k rift crystals so far and some good reviews. I consider myself lucky since I apparently managed to make her look fairly appealing on first try.
>Beat Julien in honorable 1 on 1 combat with just pride at stake
>Consider him a worthy adversary and revive him out of mutual respect
>Game then decides that he should be my love interest even though he was locked in a dungeon and we're both straight males
I always gift people rotten fish/meat. I give pawns good ratings though if they actually decent.
Not recently, but i played it for a decent while around launch. Most of the mechanics were translated and it was easy to play. The plot and quests weren't which was a bit of a bummer since they seemed interesting. I dunno how much progress the translations have made since then though
I rent level ~30 pawns just to carry on Ur-Dragon.
My gift to them is the Dragonforged gear from the run.
I guess it's kind of like MonHun with stuff like breaks, and monsters generally dropping 3 parts of their body when killed, and some subspecies-like monsters that show up later on. I guess Grigori can kind of be considered the Elder Dragon of the game. You can craft things like consumables, but not things like weapons and armor, instead you use things you've gathered to upgrade weapons and armor you buy/find.
Really it's more of its own thing, though
>wanting to play this so bad
>having a shitty pc
why should I live
He's the supreme retard who's ultimate goals was to side with a cult that wanted to bring the destruction of the entire world.
If they failed, he would've achieved nothing and earned the hatred of everyone in Gransys, likely being executed.
If they succeeded, they would've summoned a being far beyond his power to stop, and the entire world would've been destroyed.
Fuck Julien, he deserved to die.
it was pretty easily playable at launch, and they might have made progress, but capcom went full remove gaijin mode and made it so you needed a vpn to play so I decided to just wait for dark arisen on pc.
>There are people in this thread right now who didn't get Selene ending, and in worst case even ended up with the Dukes whore
I don't remember Pawn names, sorry. I just rent out random Warriors, Rangers, and Sorcerers that I like the look of. I've done 7 Ur-Dragon kills so far so 14 Pawns would've gotten gear from me.
Depends on what your goal is. Do you want him to kill range first then weaker units whilst using his skills at the right time? Or do you want him to focus more on the weaker units? Utilitarian as a primary though might be iffy, not sure.
You see these guys while waltzing through Gran Soren one day. What's their story?
>fighting Salomet as a melee
>pawn finally downs him
>mfw remembering the cutscene
Minmaxing doesn't matter at all if you're not going to be fighting the Ur-Dragon often.
I'm doing this segment right now.
I forgot how fucking horrible all these god damn bandits were, fuck me, I'm gonna have PTSD by the time I get through this fucking arrow spam hell.
Tall one is legitimately mentally handicapped, which explains why she wears her pants too high.
When she was a child, thanks to her mental retardation, she held her younger brother under the water in the bath tub until he suffocated and died. During the struggle her younger brother scratched at her eye leaving a large scar.
The small one is the ghost of her younger brother that only she can see, who is blue from being suffocated and has followed her around in ghost form ever since, tormenting her for being a retarded asshole.
Wasn't his entire point that they shouldn't be wasting men in gransis when their ruler doesn't even trust them to succeed(hence them sending mercs and the she goat rather than a real army)?
This dude is pretty hard on hard mode.
I agree that the Duke was a fucking idiot who literally only became Duke because he tossed his wife to the dragon, but Julien decided to side with salvation instead of thinking "You know, maybe I CAN'T defeat a massive fucking monster that could obliterate this entire goddamn civilization."
He also didn't think that maybe, just MAYBE, the arisen, which is fated to slay the fucking DRAGON, could kick his ass.
He's an idiot.
Played DD on ps3 back after release, gonna get it on PC eventually. Too many other games and school for me to get it right now.
I'm just curious about something. Roughly how many berserk cosplay pawns have you encountered so far?
I have the gold idol and I'm not sure who to give it to. I'm currently a warrior along with a warrior pawn, but plan to switch to either assassin or mystic knight later in the game. Who would give better weapons?
forge it twice, keep a forgery for yourself, give the real one to Caxton or to Jewtits if you want female gear, they keep their improved inventories which means come NG+ you can give the real idol to the other and have both maxed.
give the other another forgery to complete the quest but a forgery does nothing for their items.
>Playing a class other than the one you want to play ass.
>Grigori groaning softly in your ear every time you press Start at the main menu
I still remember my first Arisen and pawn on ps3.
I made a bulky bearded man with face-paint, I but his stance all the way to the feminine side. I thought it only made him stand funny, didn't know it made him walk like a girl.
I made my pawn a mystical Gary Coleman (who I named brock because of character limits). He was super short and had an afro. I told him to act sassy. Eventually I had to give him a helmet for protection, but it covered his 'fro, so I gave him a magic-soaked long blue beard to make up for it.
I still get fond memories of all the times I chucked him at monsters as a fear tactic. I long to hear what songs the bards must have made to describe our adventures.
Oh, can you have more than one save on PC?
For Magick Archer can you level as assassin and Sorc or should you just go full sorc?
>you can BUY HOUSES
Do i buy it?
Is it worth it? What do you even do in them?
Can i have multiple houses?
MA still uses a bit of physical deeps and it wouldnt go amiss to level some sin levels but the vast majority of your shit is magic so it's a choice in improving your niche weakness or going full ham and one shot shit all day
woah woah woah woah hold the fuck up
I've had this game for so fucking long and have maybe like, 500+ hours of game time.
you can fucking buy houses?
WHAT THE FUCK
THE FUKCING "GLIMMER GLIMMER" SOUND EFFECT PLAYS BUT THERE'S NO FUCKING PINK AURA
HOLY SHIT YOU FUCKING BITCH I MADE YOU MORE DRUNK THAN YOU COULD IMAGINE WHY THE FUCK DON'T YOU WANT TO FUCK ME
as a Scorcerer on the left and my Amazon Pawn on the left
You don't buy the house for yourself, you buy it for jasper and his shitty awful family.
You should totally buy it instead of doing the other end.
They die in the endgame like the useless annoying fucks they are.
I think the this hair suited better then what i had originally
>play hammer stomper Warrior
>have Mage pawn to back me up
>a Golem spawns with two Lichs
>break Golem's floating gems
>the last one is high up
>pawn too dumb to do anything about it
>it's now 2 Cyclops and one normal Golem instead
But that aside can I actually rely on Strider classes pawns to help me get rid of those Golem floating gems or am I out of luck if I play melee classes?
I have thought of maybe jumping off from the Golem's head to reach it but I actually died before I could do anything about it.
It's part of a quest, did you not read what it's about.
>fat guy hates poor people and wants them to leave
>poor cant afford rent anymore
>convince poors to move out or buy their house for them
You don't get the house, you just pay for it for some assholes.
Assassin and Ranger at the moment
>Try to make her buff amazon
>She just looks dumpy as fuck except in heavy armor
>Hate the eye scar I forgot to remove before confirming
Can I alter my appearance anywhere?
check this out and tell me what you think
I can't fucking beat the dragon with my Mystic Knight and since the game only can manage the most recent save at a time, I'm shit out of luck because I didn't bring enough healing items.
How do I check if anyone's used my bitch of a pawn yet, pic related
Not sure if I should change my pawn a bit or not.
Holy fuck I just entered the second area of BBI and I'm getting murdered.
I'm level 57. Is it not good enough or should I go for NG+?
i just fucked up and miss a side quest but everything is fine
>Holga has been used 20 times
thanks baby you the best Amazon Bride a fat wizard can ask for
I don't really understand how to properly use magic yet, so I've just been trying to use my sword on him. Lo and behold, I can't reach the heart with jumping attacks and he always moves before I can try striking his face.
If I revert to last checkpoint, it brings me to the beginning of the fight.
Need I do this goddamn cart quest to get to Gran Soren again on NG+? I'd really like to skip it or find some way to make it go by faster
>tfw 2 stars everything
is this what I get for not using revealing outfits and/or a loli
The lovely game crashing trick with MK is GREAT CANON
Throw down two of those and a ruinous zone and they go off like none of your business.
Plus, the stronger your magick, the stronger the zone, the more shit flies out of your canons and heat-seak what ever's right on them.
Shit man, I've used your pawn before and I gave:
I don't like having lolis in the party and I like relatively fitting pawns. To boot, your pawn kicks ass.
I had trouble with the huge giant thing with chains and then some area with a cockatrice + goblins + random huge dog which appears suddenly and wrecks my shit. I'm doing so little damage to it
Does everfall really drop any good gear? I didn't get much. Only a bunch of wakestones. Magic archer btw.
Or, more specifically (or vaguely?), genuinely thought provoking games with an existentialist theme.
I dont remember much but can you not start NG+ after finishing the main quest now?
I thought once you kill God and you stuck up there until you use Godbane to stab yourself and the pawn become you like Selene
>genuinely thought provoking games with an existentialist theme.
arguably Bastion in a more subtle way.
Strong existentialist themes are also present in Planescape.
I beat the giant in chains with a magick archer at level 40, I kind of killed him in a cheap way by using ice based missile attacks from an unreachable area. It took me like 1 hour to kill him; he has so much health.
If your not a magick archer, I cant really help you, but I can tell you that the giant is venerable to ice.
First playthrough coming, got a sorcerer to 20, it's kinda alright.
Does it pick up at high levels with the insane exploding spells or does it always seem less fun and I should pick up a melee role?
I didnt make that webm, I'm not the one playing but when i did play back on ps3 i didnt use arc either.
I didnt use it because there are other moves that are more agile for the more slow warrior and nice set up and knockdown attacks that make up for the slowness. Thats just my personal reason though.
really wish i could play on pc i cant wait to see if they unlock 6 skills for the warrior
>Does it pick up at high levels with the insane exploding spells
They are odd ones, and their games are extremely innaccesible and flat out flawed. But when it comes to clever storytelling, they are the best ones out there. Pic related, a good-to-know starting tips for Pathologic, as the game is both notoriously intimidating and seriously bad at communicating some of it's core mechanics.
Use my mage loli, shes level 33 and very helpful.
Lyla, white hair loli. Please gift me a wizard hat to complete her look if you are a cheater-san or at end game
Just carry a staff around with you anon, you can set spells to it just fine.
I personally always carry a staff on my Magick Archer because sometimes a good old fireball solves problems that ricocheting homing magic arrows can't.
Also since skills are tied to vocation rank you should be able to use at least high spells.
Also also play sorc/mage for a bit to get the magick damage up augments, they stack.
Like everyone on /v/ and their mom's had some extremely horrible excuse for why they couldn't get into this game, from a gaming perspective
You, anon, you use the map. It's in the menu.
Is there any way to use curatives on your party members?
or do you just give it to them and hope they use it?
obviously this bitch got fucked, such a waste of a good loli mage
>huge three story enemy is hard to kill and has lots of HP
Weak to magic, aim for their eye, crawl on their neck to get them to remove their helmet, grab their legs for them to lose balance. the list goes on, try the wiki.
>Browsing through the wiki seeing what's good to grab on my mystic knight
>Check out section for great cannon
>Paragraphs of theorycrafting for getting the most damage possible for killing ur
>Comments section is the same
Holy fuck people take this game really seriously. Should I not worry at all if I just plan on doing the base game and bbi? I could care less about the online ur dragon shit
mine is similar but I expect that most people who play don't have that mod to remove those awful as fuck chest wrappings that you have when not wearing any shirts or anything
Use your spells. Abyssal anguish is great, demonswrath does a shit ton of damaged when charged, most ripostes are pretty good for free damage , cannon is everything it's hyped up to be.
4 amazing, game breaking times.
Have fun emptying rooms like a hotel with fleas
Weak to fire
slow and poisonable, can make them sleep
head's the weak spot, if he blocks stagger him
if he's enraged you'll never stun him so no lightning
PC sorc is best sorc.
>Have a young looking healer (Male)
>Sleep at an inn to updat my pawn
>3 people have been using him
>Get a total of 127k rift bux from them
>5 stars across the board
Nice. I guess he must have been doing a good job
Well for me, I transfered my pirated save to the steam version, so my levels are a bit higher. Kinda close to 80. Most people aren't there yet i think so my pawn isn't being hired
At least I hope that's the case
I fucking had to. That 1000 yard stare was killing me.
>played a Magick Archer in the PS3 version
>its calling to me again, even though I promised myself I would try a different class this time
Its just so much fucking fun. God help me. Maybe I'll wait until I can easily farm a lot of discipline points before I try other classes.
