About to start my first play through of this game and have a couple questions.
How is the story? Is it one of those RPGs you just play for the combat and stuff or is the story good?
What kind of character is the most fun to play? Im only going to do one play through so I want the best class.
Any early tips or things I should look out for?
I'm not too far into it, but the story seems pretty meh so far. The combat and exploration is really fun, though. It really feels like an adventure every time I go out with my pawn and explore.
The story is mostly weak right up until the end, where it pays off with a pretty cool concept.
It is definitely more about gameplay and there is a significant post game.
Personally I prefer either fighter into Mystic Knight or Strider into Assassin.
You can play every class though, stat progression doesn't matter too much compared to gear.
Play whatever is fun at the time.
As others said, the story is kinda shitty in the good way, it's just enough to keep your adventures and explorations afloat. I get a classic JRPG vibe with a "western" paint-coat, but that must be just me.
20hrs in, game has been great so far, really hooked on it.
Should have played earlier in the 360 mang.
The story is utter rubbish, and the quest system is shit.
But the combat is great. Pick whatever class seems the most fun to you.
Go to http://dragonsdogma.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Sidequests
Some quests have fail states, and some like Lost and Found, Escort duty and Chasing shadows are important for accessing shops/areas.
The common consensus is that Pawns are a much better mechanic than other players. Training your Pawns and seeing their dumb ass shenanigans is actually amusing. With other live players it just becomes another generic hack-n-slash.
arisen is typical waifu bullshit that everyone has, including me.
About to start a game.
What should my Arisen name be?
If it played the end-game straight instead of being generic fantasy story for a good chunk of the game, it could've been so much better.
The lore of Dragon's Dogma is quite good, just poorly implemented into the story.
>How is the story
The story is very good. I mean its not like Mass Effect 2, but it is definitely an attention grabber and provides something to focus on other than combat.
>What kind of character is the most fun to play
I almost play exclusively warrior in every game. Warrior is pretty fub but I cant comment on anything else.
Honestly this game is great to play with a blank slate. There is New Game + so you can do a second playthrough with the same character.
>What kind of character is the most fun to play? Im only going to do one play through so I want the best class.
How are other people supposed to tell you what's the most fun? Fun is subjective. Just because I like waiting for a cast bar to finish so I can bathe my enemies in fire, doesn't mean the next person is going to.
Also, why would you want to know which character is the most fun, when you've stated you only want to play the "best class"? Those things could be polar opposites.
A lot of your questions are silly, and mostly just seek opinions of others. If you were interested enough in the game to buy it, or pirate it, then you should be able to formulate your own opinion.
Some early tips? Enter Dripstone Cave from the back entrance before fully exploring it so your Pawn will get 3 Star knowledge of the location. Goblins are weak to fire and ice both. And wolves hunt in packs.
The story isn't particularly good, but the over exaggeration of the character expressions in the cutscenes makes it pretty worthwhile. Beyond that, gameplay is definitely the main draw.
Thanks a lot you fucking pedophiles.
I played this on PS3 and there was a decent mix of pawns in the system. Now it's nothing but little girls.
You sick fucks ruined the whole pawn system and flooded it with shit.
Fuck all of you.
>Spend far too long on Arisen and Pawn customization
>NPCs are all 100x uglier than anything even the most artistically un-inclined player would make
I actually had to go back and make my Arisen a little uglier because he looked to much like an anime bishounen. My Pawn stays a qt tanned elf though, there's no need to change that.
>Any early tips or things I should look out for?
I definitely recommend selecting your main pawn's class to complement you, for example a fighter/mage combo is very fun since your mage will constantly buff/heal you. Also, deposit all your materials into storage, since you can still enhance items with them stored away. Eternal ferrystone is in your storage by default, along with some excellent gear - the monocle you can actually sell for like 300,000 if I remember correctly, which is godly. Anyway, fast travel works via eternal ferrystone and any portstones (fast travel checkpoints) you have placed down (if you have none, you can still warp to major locations like Grand Soren. Also, always bring extra oil.
TL;DR - Sometimes the game doesn't explain too much so feel free to consult a wiki. Anyway, love you OP, have fun <3
Not OP but is it possible to run the game helmetless and not severely gimp yourself? Most of the early ones all look ugly as shit, and from what I've heard it doesn't get any better.
Coming from Monster Hunter where the life of a an aesthetic hunter literally requires you to git gud or die for fashion. But this is more RPG where it seems stats actually matter.
I totally feel you on that because most helmets are ugly as fuck. Luckily there are those bands/tiaras (not sure if that's the right word) you can use instead of helmets, I believe you get a really nice one in your storage for free.
Remember not to bother with stats on armor for your arisen. It's a waste of time to minmax your armor when you can dodge almost every status effect and attack in the game.
Pawns on the other hand should maximize thier status resistances, particularly sleep, petrification and cursed. Get those up and you should see an increase in survivability and the amount of hires you get from other players.
Or you could just make a riftslut like everyone else ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Yeah I gave my guy the tiara to rock that DQ look. It's not too intrusive so far. Found some dopey-looking cap off a bandit, tried it on for a second, and immediately pitched it to my
femalepawn. They can look dopey and still be cute. For male characters there's no hope.
>Or you could just make a riftslut like everyone else ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
This, holy fuck I was not expecting all the female mage pawns. Luckily there are still some really entertaining pawns, pic related.
My pawn is a cute tomboy warrior because my fetish is unrealistic things that make immersion spergs on /v/ flip out.
Also because Mercedes is shit tier and I need a character to fill the female knight niche in muh jrpg.
This dwarf has been a blast for me but I have no idea what gift to send him with when I finish today.
What do you even give actually good pawns?
>People say pawns are fixed
>They're actually not
>How is the story? Is it one of those RPGs you just play for the combat and stuff or is the story good?
the story is a deep analisys of the meaning of saving the world and the sacrifice of self souls for those you love
I fucking love my brown elf pawn waifu. Also, how does this whole vocation thing work. I'm level 30 sorcerer should I just immediately go to magic archer or does it benefit me leveling up other classes
I hated finding things out late seems to me the in game mechanics are pretty vague. I spent probably like 10 hours restarting my game, walking fucking everywhere and just trying to make sense of quests. I've also died more than any other game. In the begging I felt so weak I died to everything and felt like battles lasted upwards of 30 minutes +
Doing lost and found quest
Head back after hydra fight to starting town with rent a pawns
Get note, talk to cos
Some wolves in packs and bandits but nothing too hard
Make my way through witch wood
Break totems and crap
Get to hut, it's a berserker reference
Talk to lady, blah blah faith blah blah dead grandma
Rent a pawns start trashing the place and stealing everything
What the fuck
>fighting generic bandits
>one of thme one-shots me from full health
>lose 20 minutes of playtime
...did they even playtest this shit? Am I just supposed to manually save before each encounter in case I get 1-hit randomly?
What classes do you guys think are the most fun? So far I'd have to say Mystic Knight. Perfect blocks with burst of magic feels so fucking good.
Warrior is my second, generally really solid moveset, the aerial attack is really solid for chaining together attacks and exodus slash is gold. Plus most greatswords look amazing.
all the vocations generally unlock cool shit. you should just freely experiment with them. they all give out augments that are useful for all classes.
don't worry about min/max shit, it doesn't really matter in Dogma.
I played hundreds of hours of Dogma on PS3.
I never knew I could break the pillars myself as a warrior.
This happened to me a lot. The worst I've had is a shadow tower quest with some giants fuckers. Spent like 1 hour drudging through only to get one shotted off a castle. Save often, save all the fucking time, trust.
Link since image size is too big. But it seems good for people who just refuse to learn perfect block timing I guess?
I think Holy Wall actually gives you a bigger (and maybe stronger) shield, where as the other abilities like Flamecounter are used to deal damage back to enemies with each block (with extra damage via perfect blocks.)
>So far I'd have to say Mystic Knight. Perfect blocks with burst of magic feels so fucking good.
of the 3 classes I've played so far (fighter, mage and mystic knight) this is by far the most fun. It's a shame that the MK real damage lies in great cannon spam, because perfect blocking with shield buffs is a lot more fun
Magic cannon is just OP in my impression, you still do great damage without using it. Having the best defense in the game that also outputs damage still puts it above most other classes.
>play all weekend while Pawns were broken
>finish post game today, start NG+ and go to BBI
>now that rift crystals actually matter so that I can identify gear no one rents my fucking pawn
Ima shoot a nigga
>found 2 level 2 BBI weapons
>and 2 level 3
>they're all greatswords, not a single one-hander
>still running around with Grigori's sword
I do not fucking want to play warrior in BBI, do you get it game?
How the fuck do I enable Vigilance, the fighter augment skill. I have tried every single key and nothing works, playing with KB+M.
you'll have to make do with generic generated pawns instead of meeting memepawns and sluts online
game still generates lolis, amazons, giant niggers and etc so it's not a big loss
I wish someone made a mod that made the skin on characters less splotchy, or removed some of the artifacting at least.
Even the nude mods that are out now look like shit because of it.
Apologize to my waifu or she'll end your laifu.
>know everyone and their dog is going to make qt brown muscle girl pawns
>make a fuccboi instead
meanwhile I am the qt brown muscle girl.
>doing the griffon fight at bluemoon
>doing alright damage but the soldiers are about to die
>suddenly, a cutscene starts playing
>"Time to pay back a favor"
>its fucking steffen
>he pulls out the fucking grimoire
>starts fucking up the griffon
>music picks up
>the griffon is completely stunlocked
>the tide has turned
No game has ever made me feel that much joy before. This is my fucking dream game.
>doing the griffon fight at bluemoon
>all three of my pawns died prior because of that shitty run away from the griffon while it destroys the bridge bollocks
>start fight, NPCs are all dead/dying
>Steffen runs in
>casts that shitty useless firewall ability once
>proceeds to get knocked off a ledge
Yeah, joy, thats how I would describe this feeling.
Do the Sorcerer's augments that effects casting times and stamina consumption from spells also effect the magic stuff for the sword and shield with Mystic Knight?
The story is about what you'd expect from a JRPG, it's more fleshed out than Dark Souls but not as good even so. The combat is genuinely fun, feels like a cross between Mon Hun and DaS combat, casting is a lot more fun in this game than most.
I finds that Mystic Knight is the most fun to play, but by no means the most powerful. Try all the classes, there's no real downside to trying them all out.
As for early tips, don't fret too much if you can't complete a quest, move on to another one and come back to it later. Check out your stash, it should have some valuables worth using/selling. Upgrade your weapons, healer pawns are OP as fuck, make sure to keep them alive cause if you lose them you need to go back to a rift to get them. Climb on monsters by jumping on them and holding to deal damage to weak spots, like an eye or head etc. Also, fire is useful in the beginning. Other than that it's pretty self-explanatory.
Just did this, it was glorious. I'm not even sure what happened and who combo'd what moves with Steffen, but the Griffon health just plummeted right after he arrived and pulled of his spell
>it's more fleshed out than Dark Souls but not as good
dark souls puts it's story in item descriptions. dragon's dogma put it in npc dialog.
certain quests will fail if you don't complete them before progressing in the story. You can generally work it out with a bit of logic, but to play on the safe side, any mission that isn't just "kill x" should be completed before doing the next bunch of story missions
so yeah, go bail Quina out of the woods
Your pawn gets RC based on the amount of EXP their enemies are dropping while they are in another world. I don't remember the exact ratio but you should get some when you rest at an inn.
Although for it to register, the pawn needs to have been dismissed.
WHY DIDN'T ANYONE TELL ME THAT TOME WAS A MASSIVE AOE I USED IT IN THE MIDDLE OF TOWN AND GOT ARRESTED NOW I CAN'T SAVE SCUM TO GET IT BACK FUCK
I've been finding a decent amount of males and females with varying sizes. My own pawn is taller than me.
In fact, I don't think I've even seen more than 10 lolis. It's mostly slightly below average to gigantic.
Damn please share.
OH btw I have a poor person version of the game(I stole it) and is my online functions not working because I'm using a pirated copy or should it be working? I feel like I would have heard more about it if pirated versions couldn't connect online.
>going through witchwood
>wolves all over the fucking place
>they appear so often I just let my pawn deal with them while I loot
>WHAT THE FUCK WHY IS THIS MAGICAL BOOK DOING MAGIC SHIT?!
You can get guard broken even if you perfect block. Makes you stagger, doesn't trigger the effect, and doesn't deplete your stamina. You'll get intimately familiar with that fact once you start seeing eliminators.
I'd suck your dick desu no homo
brb killing self
So what happens when you let the duke
I don't really care much for her and I want to avoid being thrown into the dungeon. I'm wondering if I can just ferry stone out after he does it.
>Beat the dragon
>game crashes after the cutscene
And somehow I got jewtits as my beloved, even though I tried to make sure it was Selene.
I thought it was the last max affinity person you talked to, but I guess I messed something up.
>hear pawn rentals were fixed
>go to check my game
You know all of those unfamiliar foes in their bestiaries? Well, turns out some crazy asshole must have carried my 50-something pawn through post-daimon BBI, because it's only now starting to clear out.
This game just keeps getting better. Playing blind so it's taking me a lot longer than it should, I guess, but man I have to force myself to stop playing. Had a slow start but now that I'm used to it and the importance of pawns, the shit is addicting as hell.
And whoever made this guy gave me a good laugh. One of the higher quality ones though, oddly enough.
The existence of pawns is extremely wasted potential. I didn't feel anything at the end of the game for my beloved or my main pawn. The only explanation about pawns with that they have no emotions made them even worse.
The game fucked really up with the characters.
Sorcerer is a bit boring in the early game but gets fucking awesome in the late game.
Warrior (2 handed vocation, upgrade from fighter) is really fucking awesome in the early game and either stays awesome or completely drops off, depending what kind of person you are.
>using corona slash when surrounded by enemies
damn it feels good to be a warrior
I'm around level 27 and I switched to mystic knight after playing warrior. My pawn has been a strider all the while.
Would I be completely fucked if I changed into an assassin or sorcerer and changed my pawn into a fighter to tank?
>I'm level 12 and tired of having no skills.
Both are really satisfying. There are cool, massive spells and the Warrior class has a charged attack that can knock bosses over easily while dealing a FUCKLOAD of damage if you hit a weakspot.
Warrior is generally more difficult though, because that charged attack is unreliable compared to everything else. It makes you move slow as a slug while charging up, and it takes really long to reach full power, coupled with the fact that you need to release it just as it reaches the peak for maximum damage, which is difficult to do when bosses move around.
All Sorcerer skills:
Compliation of the charged Warrior attack:
>Just finished the battle with the griffin on bluemoon tower
>decide to walk back to Gran Soren
>On my way back, just as the sun starts to set, pic related happend on a natural stone archway on Cutlass cape.
It's moments like this that reminds me why I really like this game.
I'm level 27, just cleared out the crypt and My arisen and pawn just hit max Vocation for Strider and Mage.
What do now?
Ranger? Assassin? Magic archer?
also sure is every female pawn in the nexus is wearing the same armor.
Same here, I'm trying to stay away from these threads but I'm scared I'll miss another questline (totally passed the little girl in the witchwood one).
I've played for 12 hours before fucking realizing I could teleport back to the capital indifferently.
Also just cleared this cult crypt level and my pawn did more impressively than the two pawns I hired, which was dope because she's been super useless up until this point. I have no idea why she did so well all of a sudden...
Too bad she's a low level sorceror so nobody gonna hire her
You'll have to do a bit of grinding to get your vocation rank up. I would just look it up and see if there are any skills that interest you in them.
Pawn is a bit trickier. Not only will you have to level their vocation back up, but it would do you well to change their inclination too. Strider pawns naturally adopt Scather and that is not the best one for a Fighter. Google that shit.
>get blindsided by falling rocks right as I'm nearing the escort quest's end
>go all the way back in Gran Soren
Are there any noteworthy sidequests? I barely did any and just finished up the main quest. I'm now at BBI and just want to beat it to wrap this game up for me. I may look around the world map without doing any quests, it isn't too big. But really, BBI seems to be the highlight of the game anyway.
>traveling with convoy to trap and kill a griffin
>my party consists of qt mage, qt strider and 'shrektumblr" and myself, a warrior
>we knock the faggot griffin's health down to half and the griffin decides to pick me up to drop my shit from 2000 feet.
now let me tell you about shrektumblr. she's a 3 foot pawn who is coal black with a voice that is deep as fuck. also fat as she is tall and is wearing nothing but pink clothing and a princess crown as a helmet. she has been trained by her Arisen to do nothing but talk and talk about harpies. however, shrektumblr is my shield and board.
>shrektumblr sees me in the sky trying to punch a griffin
>griffin releases me
>think im gonna be dead, homie
>shrektumblr CATCHES me, tells me to run towards her, so i did
>i fly in the air because she launches me, i land on the griffin's face, latch on and start punching it again, crash landing into a platoon of goblins. the damage leaves me with sub 50> health but i heal up with dank roots and sour meat. griffin gets scared and flies away
pic related, it's shrektumblr; aka "Dipshit" as her pawn named her.
combat, exploration, and just general physics and movement are all so fun that the game is very worth playing.
I personally liked the story but it's the common Japanese repeating cycle story so it's unoriginal and the pseudo-old-english gets old quickly.
>Is it one of those RPGs you just play for the combat and stuff or is the story good?
you know you look back on this game with fond memories when you think this is a difficult question to answer
I got this game cause it borrows a lot of references and inspiration from berserk and also a filler to prepare myself for das3
kind of disappointed with my purchase, the combat is actually pretty shit, boss fights are basically damage sponges with hectic move sets that make no sense if you are a souls fan
graphically also very unimpressive, very stream lined story telling with mmo style quests
I dont see what people like about it honestly
>go to hire some of the more popular pawns
>they cost 6.5 mil RC
>tfw beta Arisen and alpha as fuck angry QT Pawn
I played 50 levels of Sorc and Mage before I switched to fighter to get my defense up, it was pretty rough going as I'd get one shotted by everything only now I'm in the action instead of chilling in the back casting spells.
>All the pawns in the Rift are lolis and brown muscle girls
>running around the world doing a couple of quests
>easily 40 minutes pass
>slide off a ledge the wrong way and die because I was trying to take a shortcut back to gran soren
>get taken back to the moment I left gran soren, 40 minutes ago
Auto save my ass
>Just spent an hour fighting this big dumb fucking bird
I just switched to MK to had very few skills.
Anyway thats my Arisen in the middle, my old grumpy fighter pawn on the left and Hitler to the right.
If intrested in pawn look for Darian, username Ser Colgate.
If they die the pawn gets sent back with 3 stars and no comment.
Not saying they did die, but it could have happened.
I usually rate any pawn I use 5 stars across the board, unless they turned out to be totally useless.
>start fight morning
>finished by night
Finally. I forgot how hard this motherfucker is.
Why does everyone have nicer armour than me? Running around in a shitty bliaut still. I was expecting nicer armour from the game or maybe I just haven't got far enough in to find any. Figured you'd find more than you buy but apparently that's not even the case.
tl;dr how the fuck do I get my Fashion's Dogma on?
I need help. I figured I wouldn't need to train my fighter/warrior pawn, since I'm a magic user and thought those classes were literally 'swing weapon to win'.
Yes, I know, I was wrong and my pawn is brain dead retarded.
What should I teach her?
What are the best inclinations for her?
I feel bad for the poor souls that have rented her.
>So if you're cool with no translation jump on it
Search and you shall find.
VPN has to be used to download the client from the website/launcher, once you are in the character screen you can turn off the VPN
In general they are. Except the cunt warrior piece of shit faggot that one shots me like the fuckboi bitch I am. How do I bait as a melee. Do I just send out the pawns with the "Go" command?
>in the rift looking for pawns
>choose between 4 pawns with good skillsets and DLC armor, or a retarded thing with shitty armor and 1 skill
>choose the retard
I dont know why but I really hate seeing the DLC armor now
I'm like level 40.
You start unlocking cool armor after the wyrmhunt missions.
Also, always go for what feels the best, i was running a shitty full copper set until i got gryphic armor.
Yea sure i could've bought better armor, but i liked my copper set better.
this nigger was a pain in the ass.
eventually just got lucky and stun locked him to death
how is it fair for him to throw you off so easily or breath fire on you with less that a seconds notice
One on the left looks great, if that's a pawn would hire.
Post more adventuring parties. I like to see what people are running with. Currently using a boring rift slut party but gonna start trying to get a more thematic group.
>made a copy at the Black Cat of that tome and gave him the forgery.
>accidently click it and nuked half of Gran sorens market and get jailed
>Do Tower Griffin, Steffen runs in starts to wave the tome around, nothing happens
You know I'm pretty happy with how she's turned out.
Wish there was a slightly better Kilt but it's surprisingly close.
Don't be a pleb, give your pawn a lantern and some oil.
>doing Lost and Found
>get my shit utterly wrecked by the forest bandits
>my attacks barely scratch them, while some of them can 1-hit kill me
>and you have to fight like 10+ of these guys at once
Am I missing something? Is this supposed to be so stupidly difficult and near impossible? This game's difficulty curve leaves me dumbfounded.
Go get a better longsword and upgrade it
Even your basic attacks should be wrecking everything
Probably because inclinations are a bitch and the entire system is
does the review thing finally work? got this earlier after sleeping
I need some opinions. I bought this game on my 360 a few months ago, very soon before they announced the PC release. I plan on getting my first PC set up petty soon (I have most of the parts now) and I haven't beaten the game yet (I stopped like a month and a half ago because I've only been playing Xenoblade, so I'm only at the Everfall Caves or whatever right now).
So, should I just stop playing completely and get it again for PC or just keep playing on my 360?
Those bandits are there to teach you about running away from fights you can't win.
Absolute easiest way to do it is use throwblasts. One throwblast is usually enough to kill even the bandit leaders.
Are hammers acceptable?
Level up, get better gear, learn how to disable, use tactical smarts. Any of these work. Come on, son. You've been conditioned for hand holding and it's time to break out of this false helplessness.
I plan on romancing one of the guards. The one camping out near the northern manse looks pretty qt.
It's probably in my best interest to romance Fournival because of how convenient it is to have at home, but, nah, I don't feel like it.
At rank 6 you start feeling strong.
At rank 8 you become death for bosses
When you get the BBI ring for Arc you will feel powerful from the animation alone but your hits will start getting weaker as you go deeper.
When you get to Daimon's true form you will wish you had rolled something else.
This armor is the sex
Also, could someone please hire him and kill some stuff just to test? I havnt gotten a single notice.
>How is the story? Is it one of those RPGs you just play for the combat and stuff or is the story good?
everything about the plot happens right at the end of the game
>What kind of character is the most fun to play? Im only going to do one play through so I want the best class.
you can switch classes all the time and you should do it to get the augments from other classes and use them in your favorite one
>Any early tips or things I should look out for?
if anything seems to strong to take on RUN, this aint skyrim with its leveled enemies
also escort subquests are too hard for newcomers and the rewards are mostly shit, you should skip them
So my pawn keeps getting all 3 stars. I'm assuming this means she either keeps dying or is shit.
She's meant to be support. What should I change?
Anyone else hate how sprinting takes stamina outside of battle? So annoying how you need to travel long distances slowing down all the time
Hope someone mods it to act like in town sprinting and consumes it in battle
Go to the profile tab and check her inclinations, make her Utilitarian and Medicant. You might want to swap out some things so she does have damage options, having 3 affinities is a bit much and spellscreen is shit.
>pawn system finally fixed
My main complaint with the base game is that it's piss easy.
Hard mode remedies this to some degree, but it's literal artificial difficulty and it's unbalanced as fuck.
So no, not really.
Upgrading gear that has been Dragon forged. This is a random thing that happens to gear you have equipped whenever you slay a dragon, it becomes stronger than the 3 star version and can be enhanced even further once you get to BBI.
They are also used for buying shit in the Encampment to alter your pawn, some vanity items and for hiring pawns from other players that are not your friends.
Some tips for a fellow warrior bro.
Jump attacks both normal and strong are super useful. Jumping normal is basically a normal attack with no wind up time but no comboing. Considering how quick things die when you level up enough, this is often more useful as a gap closer than trying to wind up a real hit. Jumping strong is powerful and mobile, and mobility is your major weakness.
For skills, I'd say your most indispensable attack skill is the one where you spin and clear an area around you with your weapon. This is your little shitstain blender. For big guys, you want the overhead charge. The last one is free choice, I guess, but personally I like the one that thrusts and then knocks the enemy in to the air. A good combo for some beefier enemies (that knockup still works on) is to knock them in to the air then charge your overhead swing while they are down. Great way of singling out tougher enemies in a pack while killing them quickly.
Once the big dangerous one is dead just go SPIN TO WIN mode.
Those already exist

Turned out to be pretty decent, would appriciate if someone would summon.
It wasn't that bad, just buy one or two every time you go to town and use them to warp back when you're done with whatever quest you're doing.
The real blessing is giving you easier access to portcrystals.
>all these people hating just because of DLC armor
It's tastefully done for once, the guy went out of his way to make a nun pawn.
What level and what's your steam name, I'll give her a whirl if you're within level range.
It costs too much stamina for too little damage and end-lag. Folks recommend it for Iraklis builds VS bosses, though, because of how many times it hits.
was Seneschal really the antagonist in this story? the retards in the black hoodies tried to call him in, but the dragon had little care when it came to the actual kingdom, it was the arisins foolish view of being a hero that basically unleashed hell and destroyed the kingdom in the end only for his satisfaction of getting his sole life back.
Does Grigori have the same voice actor as the english dub of kenpachi? It just hit me how similar they sound.
Garbage game. Played it for less than 5 minutes.
It's seriously fuzzy. Hugeeee letterbox on the screen takes away the whole experience. Very hard to see
Oh and every character looks like yu-gi-oh.
Go back to gamestop and return it
also forgot to mention
you fuck the dukes bitch behind their back only to ""rescue"" them and massacre an entire squad of innocent solders working a guard post just to get one bitch out.
Not lunge. You want the LASH line. You won't hit normal enemies with it, but that's not the point. It's for bosses, or for things that are already grounded but still alive. Which is pretty often. Upward Strike and it's upgrades will fling things in to the air. Which is rather important bit of battlefield control you need.
Spark Slash is the spinning one, I think? All three together give you a move for every situation you'll find yourself in.
Is there any redeeming factors for the Westron Labrys Bandits? Should I even bother having my Arisen dress up like a girl to do their quests? Because they all sound like a bunch of cunts to me.
No clue. The male bandits wanted me to kill them, but I figured I'd scope them out first. I went with an all female party, but I got attacked for having a man in the party for some reason. So I ended up murdering every last one.
>oh hey destroy this metal golem fucboi
>goes well, 1 disk left
>its on a fucking tree
>well guess I'll hit it with spells
>spells dont lock on
>hmm maybe I can jump on the tree
>you just fall through it
>or I could just manually aim spells
>hit it for like 1% of its hp with each spell
>pawns all busy being fucked by golem
fuck this shit, had to reload and change to assassin
Anyone else still on the 360 version? Are the servers still down, or am I just shit out of luck? Anytime I try to connect to the rift or sleep at an inn, a prompt comes up and says the Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen service is unavailable, please try again later or some shit.
Did they shut down the 360 servers or something? pls help
>Only one person hired my pawn
It doesn't look that bad, does it?
>Play for 10 hours straight
>Fuck it's time to let self restraint kick in and stop for today
>Sit there looking at Grigori's sexy dragon ass while contemplating today's adventure
>Suddenly nipples get hard
>It's chilly as fuck in here
>There's a draft in my room
>The wind is pushing me
>INTO THE CLOUDS AGAIN
>I FEEL THE BLOOD IN MY VEINS
I wish I could become just like the Dangan and let time run free. But I have work tomorrow.
So /v/, tell me
what do you give other people's pawns as a present?
I went with strider I've got the best armor and enhanced most of it as far as I can, but I keep running into enemies like that cyclops(?) in the etherfall that I just couldn't beat. eventually I just ran away and it fell off an edge and killed itself.
you can do that? thanks anon.
This game needs fewer mobs on the roads and fucking horses.
Also secondary skills for warrior.
There is a difference between endgame and bullshit.
3 Garms, 2 Gorecyclops, and an assload of succubi and corrupted pawns who tornado spam and heal spam in a small room is just a fucking nightmare.
>find better armor along the way
>just keep wearing the circlet
It's not like stats matter. Just a good augment set, and a decent armor/clothing set is enough to do anything and still maintain aesthetics.
I didn't expect this game to take hold of me like it has. Skyrim, The Witcher 3, hell even Dark Souls didn't grip me like this. It incredibly fun, addictive, and hits a perfect ratio of cozy exploration and grim discovery. One helluva game and no amount of picking it apart can diminish its pure thrill.
The game missed out by not gifting a fish if your pawn gets thrown into the brine.
Personally didn't have any trouble until Dark Bishop, or the first Cursed Dragon. After that it feels like everything is just really power enemies in super small spaces, or just a fucking overload of enemies.
Warrior doesnt need anything but arc of Deliverance anyway, the two other skills are kinda pointless really when you can just charge up and oneshot all the monsters in the game.
>go to BBI
>this isn't so ba-
>Death is hovering above some fountain/statue thing in one of the earliest rooms you can reach
>one shots pawn who then disappears
>in all the chaos and fuckery he just disappears
I feel like that encounter is randomized, because I went back later and he didn't show up. Shit was fucked up though.
Feels good that you can now see the rents. The rift crystals and good reviews you get make the time designing your pawn feel less of a waste.
I thought my pawn was a qt when I finished her in character creator, but then when I saw her in the world didnt like it that much, though not nearly as bad as my arisen, hopefully her modest looks can attract enough people to hire her so that we can get the secret of metamorphosis we so desperately need.
>the seneschal maintains the world because of his or her extreme power of will
>without the seneschal the world will atrophy and die
>the cycle is needed because it ensures that only Arisen with strong will will make it to the seneschal and take over when the old seneschal is sick of playing god
>your characters decides it would be a good idea to end this cycle that sustains the world because he's a retard and decides to kill himself
My arisen looked like shit too when I first made her, but I had some good luck making my pawn and have gotten a good number of rents.
Thanks, I tried.
how do i deal with enemies having 20 million HP?
Runs fine for me
though I'm on a 960
