How the fuck do you get good at this game?
The combat is such a fucking mess.
Too many enemies with completely unpredictable attack patterns and no lock-on.
>no lock on
It has auto lock on. Stand near an enemy and hit an attack button. Or better yet, aim with the stick.
>combat is a fucking mess
No it's not. The combat works fine.
>how the fuck do you get good at this game
Learn to not be a retard.
I'm fighting enemies a hundred times harder alone.
Dragon's Dogma has a pretty good fanbase in my experience
Any questions I ever asked got answered and I understood the game better because of it.
There's a difference between having a legitimate problem with a game and not having sufficient mental ability to play it properly and then complaining that it's the game's fault.
I played this last year on ps3, I liked it but got bored after like 9 hours because of the lack of any sort of convenient fast travel and constantly being over encumbered and having to make long boring treks back to a merchant to sell shit (I loot EVERYTHING in games like this).
I just watched some footage for the PC port and goddamn, that combat in 60fps, instant load times, infinite fast travel orb thing, shit textures but amazing lighting, etc.
I really am in the mood to buy it on PC and start over with it again, but one thing I noticed watching gameplay vids was it seems like the terrible pop-in was still there, not just environment stuff, but there was a group of goblins and if you were standing like 40 feet away you only saw the closest 4 goblins but when you got to 30 feet or so a 5th goblin pops in. Does anyone know how prevelent this enemie pop-in issue is on PC? Or if it's fixable through config tweaks or mods?
>Perfect blocking Grigori's spells while on 21 health
Not today motherfucker
>Shield taunt, divine defense, springboard, Scather/Utilitarian
>Always launching myself/pawns at giant enemies at proper times
>Perfect blocking fucking EVERYTHING or quickly toggling divine defense taking virtually no damage from anything
>Perfect blocking charging enemies mid-attack knocking them flat on their ass
Pawns with anything remotely skill-based is broken.
Shame about those sword skills, though. Maybe if I played some Fighter I could teach him to stop spamming Dragon's Maw.
This. Tons of people here already liked this game when it came for PS3, more people like it now, so it stands to reason lots of /v/ users will be helpful and interested in discussing the game, rather than post bait like OP.
I have learned the combat is only a mess if you have mages in your party. They have those stupid lighting effects and retarded magic that ruins everything.
Since I'm playing with just a warrior, a fighter and a ranger, my enjoyment of the combat improved drastically.
Slow paced action combat = Dark Souls for the mongoloids.
If i had to say it myself, i'd say it's a dodgeless and open world version of MH but with improved Dragon Age Origins allies/pawns. Fuck, even the meme "it takes a shit ton of time for MH to become enjoyable" applies to a lesser extent.
It's not quite as toaster friendly as some people said but it's still pretty good.
I can run the game mostly stable at near minimum graphics. It drops down to 20 if things get busy.
I really need to find a way to not deal with carry weight.
I'm too autistic for this shit.
1. Get a portcrystal
2. When you get fat, place it
3. Teleport to town
5. Teleport back to crystal
6. Take crystal
7. Continue to be a disgusting fag hoarder who hordes everything even though all you need is spring water
The pop in is most noticeable in towns and for pawns/NPCs who just walk the road for some reason (my guess is because they load in slower than other NPCs)
When you are running about fighting monsters you wont notice it as much
They are really, really generous with iframes in this game and the counter windows for everything is fucking huge.
>Mfw read that the "easier just blocking" augment for fighter extends the window by 5 frames
>Check the top pawns in the game
You sick fucks need some jesus
My two pawns are lollis
>griffin flies down the second time
>jump slash the face keeps stunning it
Whats the purpose/strength of a mystic knight?
Vs a bignig it's not so bad since it's easier to set shit up and you can perfect block like a madman, but against more than one enemy you're just sitting there like an asshole, doing little damage and providing little help to your team while getting reamed from every direction.
I'm playing with KB+M.
Friend who had the game on xbox and played the shit out of it is also playing it with KB+M
Don't know how it's with a controller but it works pretty damn good with KB+M
Having they fixed the infinite counter thing with the strider/assassin class. I cant remember which one has it but if you counter, as long as you dont move, you have infinite frames in which to counter any physical attacks be it from small goblins to the damn Ur-Dragon itself. Shit was so damn broken
Level cap is 200 and I was lvl 50 when I completed the game
without Dark Arisen, so you really don't need to worry about it.
Basically just play the class you like to play, or use a mixed class like Magic Knight or Magic Archer if you want str/int or dex/int builds.
What the hell am I supposed to do against Ur-Dragon as sorcerer? My spells do nothing against it.
>pawn perfect blocks
>pawn dodges attacks with Hindsight Sweep i-frames
I love my pawn
>doing little damage
>Ruinous Sigil + Great Cannon
>creates a literal gatling gun of magic bolts
you're doing it wrong anon
You hired a pawn that learnt how to do it from his master and/or your main pawn learned from the other pawn.
Your pawns won't suddenly start picking up barrels and throwing them if none of them hadn't learn that. Same for throwing water/oil flasks on enemies.
Have they fixed the pawn rental? I want my rift shekels and rotten eggs.
The only issue with the KBM controls is that you can't RP walk properly, because they chose the minimum walking speed, instead of the maximum walking speed, for the walk mode.
50% done, started at half nine this morning (Britbong time)
Doing house work / browsing this thread to tide me over.
>the NPCs have more skill than your weeb-addled "human" brain
wait, did the owner of donald trump not get that gold ore I gave it?
I solved that shit by placing a portcrystal on the ledge when you exit the Witchwoods near the cottage. At least now I don't have to deal with that wolf "ambush" every time and I can avoid the spooky goasts at night.
>First Garm spawn in Bitterblack
>Hit it in the head with Arc of Deliverance
>It takes off two bars of health and literally blows it across the room
Warrior best class
>It's shit compared to DS but so is everything else.
Someone on the Steam forum had their pawn return from a rent with RC, has it been fixed?
>Too many enemies with completely unpredictable attack patterns and no lock-on.
sucks to be a casual
Do advanced and hybrid vocations take more to master? My pawn already maxed her strider but I'm still 3 levels away from assassin even though I went straight to Gran Soren after getting her.
Is ruinous/cannon supposed to be great from the get-go? I only just got them and even with 2 cannons it's damage is pretty lackluster compared to how long it all takes to set up.
if you raly cant play a game whitout lock in you realy need to play more games
Why is Mystic Knight so underwhelming? I spent way too long playing other vocations just so my stats would be balanced and to get the augments I want and now that I can safely settle in and play the actual vocation I wanted to play all I can muster is a shallow "meh".
Is Magick Archer fun? The thought of only focusing on one attribute is pretty fucking appealing right now.
Seems they've made some progress at least
This was officially the best 15 minutes I ever had with a video-game. Also fucking hell dat ending all dem feels, I start to see why the game has stealth cult status now.
magick archer is pretty good in confined spaces since you turn it into a laser show, otherwise I usually use daggers since it's more fun than spamming your bow while strafing for 10 minutes
>Too many enemies with completely unpredictable attack patterns
This whole fucking thread is terrible.
>Half the replies to OP are "lol git gud soulbaby casual I beat the game solo on hard xd look at my screenshots"
>Literally no reply to adress OP's complains
God I hate this fanbase so much. It's like the Souls fanbase but x10 with added inferiority complex.
>The combat is such a fucking mess.
May seem like it at first, thanks to all the effects making things hard to read sometimes. But the more you play, the more you'll get the hang of it. Try to not change your equipped skills too much at first, as this will only lengthen the learning of the basics.
>Too many enemies with completely unpredictable attack patterns and no lock-on.
You don't need to know any pattern here. You only need to know if the enemy is about to attack or not, if he is, dodge, block or run away depending on your class. A few enemy have really quick attacks that are hard to avoid but most class have counters for this too. It's a game that demands less precision in predicting hits and attacks but it still has great combat flow especially when facing more than one enemy.
I hope you fuckers didn't give the king back his amulet. Its a -10% cast speed just for having it in your inventory.
What's better - magic archer or ranger? They both seem pretty cool.
Did I do gud with my pawn?
(Toaster pc, upped res for vanity screenshot)
Pawns don't come with items like lanterns in the rift even if you put one on your pawn and rest at an inn, someone else won't get that lantern when they rent your pawn and will have to supply one themselves.
Ranger with 10fold and blast arrows can shred enemies in a heartbeat.. but its expensive..
Magick Archer is fucking fun, has lockon, some crazy abilities and SHREDS Daimon if you got a decent bow.
Play both to vocation rank 9, and see which you prefer to play mainly.
Thats just git gud, son. It's the funnest bow combat in any game ever, also it's not that hard to be consistent either the hit detection is quite forgiving especially with elemental buffs.
Use an armour you'd like but I'd suggest buying that cloak in the beginning that gives more stamina.
I myself leveled fighter till I got xtra carry weight. Also since you are starting over search the entire town and beach outside of town from top to bottom, I got a greathammer out of it.
It's such a well crafted fight really. All the little details when it tries to eat you and you stem open the mouth, or a pawn fails and gets eaten and you see him in there. The animations man the animations. Just ebin.
Ohhh yes... the "no lock on" meme... it has started once again
>Level 40 warrior
>Sneak over to Bitterblack island because why not?
>Death shows up and kills two of my pawns
>Push onward after reviving them
>Meet up with a giant cyclops
>Just ignore it
>Leave the area and start climbing
>Run into a dragon and a wight hanging out together
>Kill the wight as my pawns distract the dragon
>Tough fight ensues
>Dragon has downed my pawns with breath and spells
>Charging arc of deliverance
>Land it just as he says "FACE ME"
>Dragon is kill
Every other vocation is shit tier compared to this.
Guys please give your pawns something to wear in end game, you cant expect anyone to have a healer with zero resists equip in your party. Tired of clothing the pawns that are actually well trained because they are one-shots.
I got back home
Here's my specs senpai
How fucked am I
>Doing the landlord quest
>Have to chase that little shit Pip across the entire town
Couldn't you at least post a picture other than the title from google? Makes you look like a shill, even if that's not your intention.
>I'll ask for like the 20th time and probably still be too stupid to use google and find a very specific answer in under 2 minutes. fuck i'd probably even get graphs and exact framerates under exact settings.
i hate 90% of all pcfags on /v/ but especially the ones who game on toasters, even more the ones who play on toaster laptops.
What are some Rangery tricks to teach my Ranger pawn?
I know I should be teaching her which enemies to use special arrows on, but not sure what else. Oil flask / Blast Arrow combo? Oil arrow is probably better for that because of range.
I've only done a warrior build and I'm level 40
Feels good so far, but all this shit about rolling fighter for a bit or something has me second guessing. Is it really viable to just stick to one class the whole game?
its more about murdering bosses than anything else. Make sure you're weapon buffed before hand as well, and you've got the elemental type right. Or not, it should murder bosses anyway
against normal mobs, just find normally, or use a single great cannon and spam cylinder slash or whatever it is. It hits the cannon like 4 times at once, sending out a fuck ton of shots
Which vocation is the best at lifting Madeleine's bust?
Can i go through the game without hiring some retard's stupid looking loli or shitty casca clone? Can i play the game with only my pawn and not get my shit pushed in?
Also as an aside, fighting that first golem at daybreak while walking back from escorting barnabey to the blood something bay was one of the most epic fights I've ever fucking had. We had just finished cautiously traveling across the area throughout the night, avoiding goblins and sticking near the coastline. I wanted to double back and check out the spires by the cliff since I felt safer doing it in the daylight in case there was a gobbie camp there. Was wandering around looking for treasure when the rock I was near just fucking stands up and starts blasting us with lasers. Leaping on that motherfucking and stabbing his gems out until he went berserk and almost killed us all was so fucking intense holy shit. And making him stagger and fall over after nailing his heart disc with a charged up arrow was so insanely satisfying.
Well the thing is other vocations got different augmentations that could suit your vocation well. Fighter has a strength buff for example.
You don't really need it but why not if its for free you know.
Does my pawn learn from shitty pawns/other players? It started to BREAK EVERYTHING IN SIGHT! even though I almost never break containers myself (though I noticed rented pawns break a lot of shit too). What must I do for it to stop doing this once and for all?
I made a fighter pawn but he seems to be a useless little shit who is only good for getting his face pounded while I climb up the beasty's asshole.
Every time I go to hire a new mage i look for specific skills to complement my party and it always takes 20 minutes to find one just so.
So if I play again, qt healer. Definitely qt healer.
Then I can use all this sexy underwear I have lying around that doesn't look near as good on my amazon elf
Grigori was kinda cool but so many in between loading screens and I pretty much chessed the fight by accident. I was just clinging to his chest the whole time and he couldnt get rid of me. I had to watch the fight on jewtube to see how it would normally go. But still awesome nonetheless.
I'm glad I can play this game on PC now, but this is the first game I've seen where the threads actually go to shit on PC release.
I didn't believe the posts that said PC ruins everything, but christ, as soon as PCfats pick up on console scraps, every thread is just bitching and whining about artificial difficulty or something. OP is a fucking casual.
>inb4 its mechanically flawed
So is Dark Souls, faggot. This game has even less problems and is more fluid than that pile of overrated garbage.
Everfall is pretty good for leveling. There's also a lot of loot and money to be had there but BBI is much better.
You can also do NG+ and switch to hard mode. Try BBI around 60-70
A-ok for 60 fps or will I fall short of that?
I already have the game on PS3 so 60 fps would be my only reason for buying the PC version anyway.
Is there a benchmark or anything of the sort I can try out first just to be sure?
Ahhh, that's probably not enough for me.
>A-ok for 60 fps or will I fall short of that?
Are you kidding you don't even have a graphics card, man. In short your hardware is worse than a PS3 and you expect more from it?
Just fucking pirate it and try it, its all over the interwebs since over a week...
So has anyone figured out how to make more saveslots than the one?
I'm playing the PS3 version of Dark Arisen. I've seen talk on here about an infinite ferrystone at the Gran Soren inn, but I can't find it in the storage. Is it a one time deal? Does it not come with the physical PS3 release?
Of course, but that's so many words to say 'human paddleball'. I'm sure I could find a diamond dozen of them to hire, while building a mage to my specific needs would be a lot more helpful.
The amount of rangers or mages that love rushing in or looting instead of shooting or healing is frankly disturbing. Who raised all those little shits?
And for the love of god, don't get me started on the cute girl pawns in skimpy underwear with no skills whatsoever
>walking around lesbo bandit camp with an all female party
>hired pawn picks up an explosive barrel and throws it for no reason
>entire camp goes completely apeshit and I'm forced to put them all down
Do you know if the rewards are gonna be counted retroactively?
My pawn had a bunch of information I never gave him so I think he's been round the block a few.
I am desperate for validation so I want the ratings and comments more than the physical rewards
>mfw stuck at the pawn creation screen because I have no idea what I should do
There are 20? I think? Floors to the everfall. Each one is like a mini dungeon with a large monster at the end of it. Killing those and looting whatever is in those little dungeons should get you a decent amount of gold and experience.
5000 RC faggot. Better hope that renting fixes up in a few.
And at least it was the tits, not something glaringly obvious on the face.
>I have no idea.
>There's already an idea in the pic he posted.
Don't tell me you don't wanna make her anon. What kinda fag are you?
Fighter pawns will just blow that shit at the worst time. Swap over to Warrior with him & replace all of his charge attacks with nice fast swipes. Then drop a Portcrystal near Hobgoblin/Saurian camps & duo them with him while spamming the "Go!" & "Help Me!"(Left D-Pad version, not faggy right) until he turns into a proper Scathe/Utilitarian tank. Then he'll start doing useful shit for you. Like holding down Saurian so you can chop their tails off, or smacking the helmet off of a cyclops so you can shoot it in the eye.
While some of the everfall dungeons will push your shit in, its the best place to level up at your level. Once you get the level 60+, start trying your hand at the offline UR dragon and keep killing it to build up some wake stones(extremely useful for BBI) and gear for what ever class you want. After you get a decent amount of wake stones and the gear you want from the offline UR dragon, you can start BBI, which you will be 100+ once you beat it the first time.
The game caps at level 200, but the stats you gain hardcap after level 100, so gear becomes extremely important past 100, and BBI level 2 is going to be hard no matter what level you are.
There are quite a few good farming spots if you are looking to dragonforge you weapons after the everfall, its been a long time since I played so I can't remember when I put the port crystals, but I'd place them in key spots where Drakes would spawn and then kill them once they respawn in between fighting the UR dragon.
If you place the port crystals correctly, you can beat the game in around 30 minutes if you really need to dragonforge something.
>fight my first metal golem
>just respecced into warrior
>last amulet is in a tree
>ranger pawn doesn't know to shoot it
>literally fight this dude for four ingame days slapping the amulet by jumping off its head
>suddenly I.get juggled for 1500 damage in two seconds from the laser
Not a single time did it juggle me for for that many hits. I didn't even realise I was fucked until the last boumce
>want to go north of the healing fountain
>there is a fucking dragon blocking the way
I got out of there so fast.
Welcome to Magick Cannon. That thing used to make console versions behave like slideshows.
Get perilous sigil as soon as its available. The description doesn't even begin to do it justice.
High level spells will still hurt him, casting the meteor spell will fuck his shit up hard, especially if you get 2 or more pawns in on the spell.
If you are playing online, then it will seem like you are doing no damage, thats only because its health is likely in the billions. The only chance you have to kill it is in the grace period when someone finally managed to kill it online and it has a pixel of health left.
Allow me to play doubles advocate here for a moment. For all intensive purposes I think you are wrong. In this day on edge where false morals are a diamond dozen, true virtues are a blessing in the skies. We often put our false morality on a petal stool like a bunch of pre-Madonnas, but you all seem to be taking something very valuable for granite. So I ask of you to mustard up all the strength you can because it is a doggy dog world out there. Although there is some merit to what you are saying it seems like you have a huge ship on your shoulder. In your argument you seem to throw everything in but the kids Nsync, and even though you are having a feel day with this I am here to bring you back into reality. I have a sick sense when it comes to these types of things. It is almost spooky, because I cannot turn a blonde eye to these glaring flaws in your rhetoric. I have zero taller ants when it comes to people spouting out hate in the name of moral righteousness. You just need to remember what comes around is all around, and when supply and command fails you will be the first to go.
Make my words, when you get down to brass stacks it doesn't take rocket appliances to get two birds stoned at once. It's clear who makes the pants in this relationship, and sometimes you just have to swallow your prize and accept the facts. You might have to come to this conclusion through denial and error but I swear on my mother's mating name that when you put the petal to the medal you will pass with flying carpets like it’s a peach of cake; disguise the limit.
>played for 17 hours on the weekend
>now can't play for another 3 weeks
>browse dd threads all day reading about other people adventures
>have an even greater urge to play now
The only consolation I have is that by the time I'm back the pawn system will be
I place one in the camp right outside the fortress and the drake, its a great farming spot with a cyclops and several hob goblins. Obviously put a port crystal outside the griffens tower, fuck that place.
Another crystal goes right outside the dragonforged, its a great in the middle spot for many quests.
After that its really up to preferance. I put port crystals outside of key spots in the story for speed running or some port crystals where a lot of enemies or bosses spawn for grinding.
I know this struggle, deciding over wanting a cute mage girl healing and giving fire or an Andre the Giant like fighter with a small mustache and blonde bowlcut.
Tough choices man.
I thought this game was supposed to be hard. I remember people in previous threads not to go out at night.
Maybe I just overleveled, or maybe fighters and warriors are just OP. What level should I be at when doing the Final Battle?
>Get to bandits hideout
>"Have you the mettle ser?"
>2 perilous sigils in the middle of the circle he and his men did.
>Have I the mettle now fornicatingchild?
>attempting to make an anime girl in a 3d game with a western aesthetic
It's F3 for you, but you want to use F1 at least twice as much. And you only want to use them in combat, never out of combat. You can also use the knowledge chairs to make sure your secondary is set to what you want, assuming it's second/third inclination already. One of them is in the basement of the pawn guild right before entering the dungeon.
Also strongly recommend burning through a bunch of cheap healing items while you level with him & keeping a decent stack on him. That way he picks up on the idea & you don't have to deal with retard mages who can't heal right.
The battle with Grigori should be around mid 30's and beating the game the first time around should put you around the 50's. You could also struggle with the everfall and get a lot higher depending on what you fight.
The game isn't hard, but the main games difficultly is level based. The game doesn't level scale, so its very easy to wander into a area with high level bandits or run into a area with a drake. Bitterblack isle is a much harder experience, the first run through BBI will keep you on your toes regardless of your level, but gets much easier once you start getting some amazing gear. Round 2 of BBI will still push your shit in, even with the best gear(though it certainly helps).
Because I'm dumb & mixed it up with "Come".
Top 3 strongest class in BBI, about mid-tier in the main game. The problem with Magic Archer is that the only good stat growth it has is magic defense, which doesn't mean a lot.
While you don't need to min max for DD, I feel like magic archer should be noted for having the worst stat growths out of any class.
Oh shit nigga, Pawn whoring is working now.
>constantly being over encumbered
Make your character bigger and heavier, they can carry more shit. Fighter has an augment that increases your carry weight, and strider has an augment that lets you move around as if you were one rank lighter (If you are at average encumbrance, you'd move as if you were light). You can also freely unload items onto your pawns, because they just teleport to you if they fall too far behind, and if they die their items just get sent to your storage.
Between a huge arisen/pawn with the carrying weight augments / movement augment, you can carry a SHITLOAD of items.
Also, you could buy ferrystones in Dark Arisen anyway, so I don't really get why the unlimited ferrystone is such a selling point for so many people.
Dragon first, BBI is harder then anything in the main game and you want to at least enter with the best gear you can get in the main game, so kill the dragon, complete the everfall. Kill the offline UR dragon a few times till you build up quite a bit of wake stones and it drops the gear thats relevant to your class, dragonforge the gear and then head to BBI. Should be around level 70-80 after all that is done.
>Ranking up mage again to get augments after maxing both Sorcerer and MA
This much anti-fun should be illegal.
>Doing the quest where you have to open the gate in the passage leading to the South (West?)
>mfw trying to kill ogres
I get closer every time but last one I got him to about 5% health then he fucking leaped on me and dealt 500 damage instantly
If you're talking about purification it's all rng but it is affected by you and your pawn's vocation like blue/yellow/red.
Make a checkpoint save by sleeping or going in the rift before purifying.
If you don't like what you get, reload and either change your pawn's vocation or yours and try again.
Don't listen to this guy >>324382616 there are a bunch of stuff that you get from lvl 2 BBI athat you can't get from lvl 3.
>You make a Dorf but it has the carrying capacity of a fucking loli
>Armour + a few curatives and you're already starting to get seriously weighed down
This shits me to no end.
I really wish weight wasn't so relative to height, a simple mod or stat hack could probably fix it.
Start using focus bolts, fire walls, lighting whips. The fire wall description says it doesn't do much damage, but it fucking lies to your face - that shit huts like a truck and knocks most shit on its ass. Holy focus bolts are amazingly OP and I'm pretty sure they can benefit from the jumping attack augment striders get. For maximum debilitation, make out a rusted staff and start packing everything that hits multiple times.
Mage can be a lot of fun, it's just not that flashy.
>#1 seller 4 days in a row
>positive recommendations nearly doubled since yesterday
It keeps happening.
>if you're not playing DS like someone who has never played a souls game before, you're playing it wrong
Switch to it anytime you want, but if you want a decent offensive magic stat, then go with sorcerer for a few levels.
After level 100, stat growths don't mean shit, they are going to be low regardless.
Between the two augments I have never had much of a problem. Did you go maximum fat/bulk? That matters a lot too for your weight.
You can always load your pawns up on spring water, and leave the healing up to them to cut back on your curative weight. The regenration augment from magic archer is slow but helpful if you already have a mage in the party to do the bulk of the healing - the augment will recover your health back to full over time, and works great when you are running about outdoors where packs of enemies aren't as common.
I think the hovering might just make you float over the attack if you're slightly above it.
Whatever it is, I love bailing the fuck out of huge spells with a hover jump when shit's about to hit the fan.
I love greatswords.
But only 3 skills is pain.
It's pure pain.
Even if it's godly damage, I hate it. I just have 3 skills and auto attacks. It gets so fucking boring, so fucking fast.
And I fucking love the weapon.
I just bought the game on Steam but got quite a few hours in on the pirated version.
Any anons willing to help and tell me where the pirated unpack stores saves, so I can switch?
Steam Spy tends to have a few days lag time, but it's jumped from around 25k sales to 100k sales in a day, it will be interesting to see where the sales are at a fortnight after release.
I can't see it going north of 500k, but fuck knows.
>want to stay in post-game because the normal game is piss easy
>post-game is bleak as fuck and misses that comfy charm the normal game has
I know about that bug during the grigori fight, but I don't know if I want to commit to it. It breaks the game and doesn't let you beat it doesn't it? Or did I hear wrong?
How well would my character work as Mystic Knight or Magic Archer now that he has been 12 levels as mage and after that sorcerer to the level 48? He has pretty low HP to be any kind of frontline attacker, but still.
>friend messages me on steam
>got 10k rift crystals and some random gifts
>check at the in
HIRE MY SLUT GODDAMMIT
So, the hard mode is grayed out on the main menu and when choosing a new game I only get easy and normal for options.
What to do? I want to start another hard game now since the pawn rentals work.
>implying other classes have more
You have 3 skills per weapon type. Warrior just don't have any ranged or defensive weapons, meaning they get 3 skills.
I wish you could play stuff like sword/dagger assassin. Man, that would be fun.
>Not playing blind
Why would you ruin that experience for yourself? You never get a second chance to experience a blind play.
Which one of you niggers made this
You ruin once in a lifetime magic of being lost in a fantasy world because you don't want to lose a quest? You can play with a guide the second time and the third and every time after that. You only get one shot at full immersion.
Who is best waifu and why is it the man of this world?
Just farm the guard in post-game. If you stand on the fence, you can just leave the game and your pawns will do the rest. Easily best way to farm discipline points.
You won't even level up that much since the guards only give you like 100 a pop, and that's the sweet spot for discipline gain.
>Rushing > Regular attack
>Regular 3-hit combo
>Regular, pause, 2 hit follow up combo
>Jump > Regular
>Jump > Heavy
And then most of the strongest 2hand skills also have a charged version.
You have twice my RAM and 1/8 of my VRAM.
What the fuck. Why. Even cheap prebuilts from 4 years ago came with twice that VRAM.
Probably has something to do with you being gay, you sick little monkey.
I'm so happy you guys got DD. The game's a fucking gem. I seriously hope they make another in the future that's cross platform.
Pic related. My pawn on my right. Brometheus. I might restart and make a Dorf arisen. McDongus going on manly adventures.
Because DD isn't really the sort of game where immersion or "experiencing the grand story and journey" has any significant impact.
I play actual RPGs blind of course, but DD isn't like that.
Ah right I suppose that makes sense, does the merchant you can help near the quarry help getting more items or was it just bullshit?
Haven't gone near the duke yet since I don't want to fail more quests.
Oh shit, I think I saw this one in my rift as well. Didn't hire though, shitty skills.
Yes, they get the best climb-attack in the game. Also, sword/bow assassins look stylish as fuck.
How does your health work?
There's the green and the white bar behind it.
Obviously the green bar is your health, the white seems to be what magic heals you, but I don't fully understand it.
>Too many enemies with completely unpredictable attack patterns and no lock-on.
Fuck the fucking quest where you are supposed to feed a friendly cyclop with a goblin.
>run out of stamina so put it down, rest for a bit to regain stamina and carry it again
>corpse rots away
Masterful kill > reset and comboing off it. It's like you're Chipp.
>failed the fortress mission with the two Cyclop's
this game is cruel
As you take damage, a portion of your total health becomes unavailable unless using healing items or resting. The white bar is how much health you can recover using magic and stuff.
Mages and Sorcerers are the odd ones out.
All other classes have 3 skills per weapon type, it's that easy.
You can't have 6 dagger skills or 6 sword skills. That's just not happening.
As opposed to mages shoot ball, shoot a few balls, or whack? Melee jobs have a higher focus on base attacks with skills to supplement play. Warrior comes up three shorter than something like assassin because it has abilities & enhancements based around charging up.
I've had mixed experiences with that.
Assassin is fun because of the weapon variety. You can swap on the fly depending on the situation. Also, his stat GAINZ are through the fucking roof.
You ought to try out some of the weirder combos, like sword and bow, or daggers and shield.
It's an open-world game. This is one of the primary advantages. Stop thinking of the game like it's Super Mario.
no i just actually prefer playing the fucking game and not have to resort to cheap tactics to advance a STARTING ZONE
what do I care, I already got my refund. Game is shit and you guys are so fucking blind over your waifushit pawns you don't care.
Also take these threads to fucking /vg/ already fucking faggots
I love how the DD part ignores when you just wait for your spell to charge up, but I suppose that would make the comparison fair and the maker of the vids knew very well that wouldn't do DD any favour.
Have to kill some hueg ass fucker?
Climb it and rape it with your daggers.
Have to kill a smaller fucker? He's guarding and shit?
Doesn't matter, just counter him.
That fucker's flying?
Well who the fuck cares, snipe the fuck out of him.
Basically an assassin feels like it was made for rape, while a strider is more like a multipurpose dude. Which isn't really bad
especially when you become a whirling ball of death
>what do I care, I already got my refund.
Man you could fill the oceans with all this salt
