I CAN'T STOP PLAYING THIS FUCKING GAME
>try game a while back
>thought it was ok
>come back after 6 month
>make a new character
>took the class with the dagger instead of sword and shield class
>made a better looking character
Its defenitly more fun right now.
also I found a pawn thats level 6 and got a whole set of cursed armor.
I have a couple question tho
I forgot how you unlock skill, is it vocation level? I thought you bought them with RC but its been too long
also is it possible my level 5 pawn got used and got me about 20k rc? Cause I got like 26k and I have no idea where it came from
I spent at least 2-3 hours in the first town breaking shit and finding chests. It filled me with a sense of joy.
You unlock the skills by gaining Vocation rank. I don't know how you do it, my pawn has a few classes that he just won't rank up in.
After they are unlocked you need to buy them at an inn.
I'm having kinda a rough time, going through the woods and finding a couple of ogres together, finding my first humonculous in an ambush. I'm level 22 but feel like I'm undergeared and do very little damage as a fighter.
>shit reach, getting blown away by wind, can't walk in the gorge, and getting picked off by everything that flies
now if you could order pawns to pick you up, or use those fucking throwing skills on you, I'd think about it.
IS THERE ANY ACCESSORY OR SKILL THAT CUTS DOWN THE CAST TIME OF MAGIC
I JUST WANT THE STAT BUFFS FROM SORCERER BUT I DON'T KNOW HOW MUCH LONGER I CAN HANDLE THIS
yeah there are augments you can unlock in sorcerer and/or mage, can't remember. That cuts down casting time. I'm pretty sure it's sorcerer around vocation rank 8 or something. maybe 9.
It's 20% iirc.
It's similar only in that there are big monsters with parts you can break to get mats to use to upgrade your weapons and armor. And admittedly, big monsters are scares until the post game. It definitely takes inspiration from MonHun, but don't go into it expecting MonHun.
I would say it mixes elements of MonHun, Souls, and open world RPGs to create something pretty unique. You can see the influences of those games in it, but it's incorrect to say it is actually like those games.
this game has me triggered like no other. Who the playtested hard mode? Everything ohk's you which makes it so you don't even know where the to go to progress. I've played this game for like 7 hours and have accomplished jack because I'm used to an open world game where you can kind of explore and do side quests instead of sticking directly to the main quests. I figure after killing the hydra and going back to the capital, the sidequest with lizard people would be doable, but after an hour of getting ohk'd and the dumb pawns making it so I have to fight like 3 at a time after killing the first two, I'm just at a loss for words. Again, who playtested this on hard?
So I leave that area and go find some bandits which are cake besides the most ridiculous guy ever who has a shield and longsword and can teleport/charge ohk from 25 feet away and kill all 4 of your party with ease. The guy never stops attacking and when he does, he instantly starts up again. I've also been killed by him when he's attacking my other party members. Dank hit boxes, capcom....
Did they just test the magic builds where you have to kite everything without taking a single blow? Again, I'm ing baffled at how poorly done it is. I know I should just play normal mode after this, but I'm a stubborn and competitive person so maybe blatantly broken and unfair mechanics aren't for me nor is this game. Dark Souls is hard, but can be overcome with skill. This game is just moronic at times and requires you to game the system to make any progress. sorry for the rant, but wtf? in 4 thought provoking replies such as "mad cuz bad," "git gud," and "just play normal, scrub."
edit: to the idiots fighting with me about hard mode, experienced players have said it is meant as ng+ once you have completed normal so all of you saying it's balanced for a new playthrough are smoking crack and need to stop.
I saw a Mystic Knight using the magic cannon, except he wasn't striking it, it was just auto-shooting magic projectiles like some auto turret.
how the heck do you do that?
>where you can use abilities from all of the classes whenever.
So this.... this is the power.... of the PC
>get the quest to rescue the ditchess from the Northern Manse
>quest immediately fails
>Google to find out why
>Spoil that Grigori kidnapped her because the game considers her my main romance candidate
Cool but I wanted to do the Northern Manse
Like many other anons I made my character schierke, the best underaged character
>tfw guts protects you
>that look on a saurian's face when he knows he's about to get held down and stuffed with thick futa warrior cock
So, here's the thing. I'm doing the Watergod's Alter quest and when I step on the pressure plate the water doesn't drain. I've reloaded several times and left and re-entered, how fucked am I?
Yes, I realize I could just do the Duke's request and skip it, but I REALLY don't want to if I can manage without.
If you throw down a shockwave sigil underneath a magic cannon it will trigger anytime an enemy enters the circle. If that's not how it was then it was likely some kind of cheat.
Hard is supposed to be hard, dumbass.
But seriously, I know your pain. I always do NG on HM, so I'm used to that feeling of EVERYTHING one-hitting. My only advice is bearing with it and learning your limits, as well as perseverance.
Always go for the ranged/weak bandits to start and don't worry about your pawns, they can take care of themselves and you just need to rez them occasionally. For that first Well mission, don't even bother till you're 10-ish, if you're a fighter/strider, or 20ish if you're a mage. Do not try killing any of them, just run behind them and cut off their tail, should take 3-5 hits if you've a decent weapon. Once their tail is off, they don't attack anymore, drop their spear and run around like idiots. Do this for every saurian in the game you meet, then clean them up after all the tails are gone.
If you're also new-er to the game, I'd strongly suggest Magick Archer, Strider, or Ranger for your vocation. Climbing up monsters works and is fun, but be aware that if they so much as clip you, you're dead. Ranger and Magick Archer especially put out absurd damage, while keeping you way the fuck away from the fighting.
Otherwise, git gud or just play normal, scrub.
>tfw I forgot all Casardis quests are canceled the instant you decide to carry a snakehead to Gran Soren
I played mage and sorcerer in my previous two plays and loved the hell out of it. Started as a strider this time with a strider pawn to try and teach it how to play, and it sucks. Getting my lunch handed to me constantly with two striders, a fighter, and a mage. So I'm going back to mage, keeping my pawn a strider, and then two fighters. I might actually make my pawn a fighter because I think he got hired more last time like that, no one has hired him now.
>Chinks best try at copying superior WRPGS
>it's shitty just like everything they make
Just like I expected, even when the chinks try to copy WRPGS it ends up being shit like everything they make.
Actually incorrect. I'd suggest you keep a window up with the "Dragons Dogma Dark Arisen Sidequest Progression" table. Going to Grand Soren with the snake head DOESN'T cancel all the Stage 1 quests like flower-gathering, finding the prayer book, etc.
HOWEVER, completing the Everfall/that shit beneath the pawn guild, DOES. MOST people rush straight into that after arriving at Gran Soren, which leads to the confusion. You are perfectly able to go to Gran Soren, get a better vocation, upgrade your armor, etc, then go back to Cassardis. PROVIDED you don't complete the Everfall while you're there.
hiring isn't working right on PC, the only way you can tell is if you check your pawn's bestiary and see a bunch of 'unfamiliar foe' slots
>tfw there's a ton unfamiliar foes in mine
What are Rift Crystals and how important are they? I need to know so I can know if I'll be forced to make a loli pawn for people to constantly use her or if I can make whatever pawn I want.
Fairly important for end-game, but you find plenty of them by that point on your own. They're used to 'cleanse' the raid-tier gear you find on Bitterback Isle, and to purchase cosmetics from the vendor in The Encampment. However they drop from enemies/bosses in BBI with pretty good frequency, you only need 8000 to cleanse an item if I remember, and doing the Seeker/Treasure-hunt quests (of which there are 100) will get you 1600 per quest.
So 'not incredibly important' if you're asking whether or not to make a loli pawn.
The soundtrack is the best part of this fucking game.
Anyone who says otherwise should be put to death.
No anon, I want to be the
shotabecause my pawn is an Amazon.
THAT WAS THE LAST FUCKING THING I DID YESTERDAY TOO
I GUESS THERE'S ALWAYS A FOURTH TOTAL PLAYTHROUGH ON NG+ JUST TO GET THAT 100% ACHIEVEMENT
>Unfamiliar foe all over the place, some 3 stars
Damn it feels good. You faggots must love having a tall aryan protector watching over you as much as I do.
>DA2 is rated higher than DD
Is anyone using ENB just for the superior AA? The one put out on /vg/ is pretty good for keeping the same look of the game. I noticed that there's an unchangeable option for available VRAM in the menus. Was there an ini that had the option to change it, or does it do nothing in this game?
Also I found my Dogma comic in my 2013 folder.
>make a cute loli strider
>2 days pass
>check status, see 20 unfamiliar quests
>tfw when your loli is being used by others while you sleep/work
>cucking yourself. can never marry your loli main.
WHY DOES THIS PIECE OF SHIT FUCKING DRAKE KEEP FUCKING FLYING AWAY REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
this game is fucking shit. what the fuck am im doing in this game? I reach the city and then what? what the fuck am i even doing? doing endless random side quests? beating the same ogre, lion, and griffin over and over again? what the fuck is this shit? is there even a main quest and story? fucking pure garbage.
The only flaw that this game has is that it attracts weeb trash. Seen so many shitty waifu pawns I lost count, even in these threads.
I guess the subhumans just stick like glue to any game made in Japan.
There's the obvious make the game look better mods. Also mods that "remove" the weight limit, and make sprinting not waste stamina. Game has only been out for 3 days though, so expect more mods in the future.
HE IS NOT FLYING BACK TO HIS FUCKING SPAWN
HE IS FLYING OFF THE FUCKING MAP
HE IS GLITCHING OUT AND DISAPPEARING EVERY GODDAMN FUCKING TIME
>No, I'll go play WoW if I want to play an actual good MMO.
Your bait isn't even worth biting at. Step it up man. Wildstar would be less obvious, but equally untrue. Go with that next time.
>that roar the drake does that kills all pawns and locks your skills out
What items cure that because if drakes start hanging out everywhere in post game then I'm gonna need to stock up on them
How did they realize to nerf assassin but forgot to buff Warrior?
>does shit damage besides super charged moves when enemy is already stunned
>supposed to have the most health but still dies to shit in one hit
>supposed to have high stagger but doesn't work on larger enemies
>Enter riftstone area to summon pawns
>Flood of lolis appear
>Have to dismiss ten or more before I find normal pawns
Look, I get you guys are having fun with that but having such short pawns actually is a disadvantage sometimes. Trying to fight any dragonkin with short pawns getting thrown a mile away by the enemy slightly fluttering its wings is ridiculous.
Still, this port is fantastic. Just got into Gran Soren and I'm doing some sidequests before meeting the duke. My PC is a toaster so I can't do 60fps completely, but just having a consistent 30 when multiple pawns are using spells is amazing. What class is everyone doing currently? I'm going Assassin for the end game so I'm working on some augments from the Fighter/Ranger/Warrior vocations.
either underage or retarded
I got too used to blitzing through Dragon's Dogma after my save got corrupted the first time through. I feel foolish.
>I'm going Assassin for the end game so I'm working on some augments from the Fighter/Ranger/Warrior vocations.
Same here, finished Fighter and Warrior and working on Strider soon to be Ranger, after which I'll go Assassin.
Not summoning lolis, not having 60fps, or being an Assassin? Because lolis are not very useful when fighting dragonkin, my PC is a toaster so anything above sub 20fps is better since that was what is was on the console, and Assassin is fun.
>oh shit I dont have a comeback......uh....YEAH WELL YOU GUYS SUCK
Monsters don't drop RC in hard mode (unless youre in BBI). In, normal mode I believe it's a rare drop. You also get RC for completing quests and the Notice Board in the basement of the Pawn Guild has treasure hunting quests that reward about a thousand RC each.
So what do I do in the quest Maximilian gives you to translate the ancient text or some shit? I appreciate when games don't outright tell you how to complete a quest but the guy just says "ask around". Who the fuck do I ask?
Rather not do lowest honestly. I know 60fps is objectively better, but I'd rather have somewhat decent looking environments. I only get slight drops from 60 occasionally anyway, so it's nothing too bad. No matter what it's better than the console, god that was a mess.
>play full loli squad
>all of them have aggressive personality and high looting
>we roll into a new village/hamlet/dungeon
>all my lolis go to work stripping everything while insulting everyone
None of the game's AA's are good and ENBs is the most subtle thing and you only notice it in motion, forget screenshots. Both smaa and fxaa from sweetfx are better at everything.
ask the people around town stupid. jesus fuck didnt you learn about this in the beginning town? it was like the 1st question about finding out where the flowers grow. ASK PEOPLE
I played that fucking game for a decade, starting in college. It's shit, only back then it felt like less shit than it actually was.
Besides, these games aren't even comparable in combat. A hotkey MMO compared to a ARPG? You need to at least try to use games with comparable styles of play. Is this your first time trolling?
What are your settings though?
Could probably turn something down a notch for little to no changes and get that extra stability.
But yeah never touching my 360 copy again, can't image how much worse the ps3 one is.
I know about the notice board, was only wondering why I wasn't getting shit, because of hard mode, RC or lotsamoney, decision.
>36 hours played over the weekend alone
>yfw all the lolis die
What the fuck? The wyvern between gran soren and that north fort (where the traitor rebellion with mercedes takes place) flew away off the cliff towards the ocean between the cliff and gran soren and just keeps dropping down into the water then flying straight up then doing it again. What the christ.
I think everything is around medium or high since some options don't have a middle ground. I could mess with some stuff, but it is annoying how most settings can't be changed within the game itself.
I'll probably change some stuff eventually, but right now I'm just happy being able to play it without a sorcerer pawn dropping my fps down to like 15fps.
>Get to gran soren for first time
>Explore around and pick up the quest on notice boards
>Take an escort quest for reynard
>This shouldn't be too bad right
>Female bandits fucking everything
>Run into 2 orges blocking the trails
>Fucking Chimera out of nowhere
>Running my fucking ass off
>Night time now
>Fucking lighting spirit things every where
>Finally make it
>Just save and quit
Well that was a fucking ordeal. Why is this shit available so early in the game
>tfw my vacation ended this weekend and now I can't play all day
I've been playing this non-stop since it came out, it's one of those games where you can just take your time and explore without feeling like you're being forced down a path. I love it
Escort quests are ass. Most of the time I just go to the site of where most of them tell you to go and then place one of the portcrystals down. For example, I have a portcrystal set at Bloodwater Beach so now whenever a quest pops up for that I just teleport and I'm done.
Otherwise traveling that far with an escort is infuriating.
How do I recreate my old character?
am i the only one who plays with just my mandatory pawn
it worked well while i left her as a fighter so she aggro'd everything, then i turned her into a warrior and since i'm a sorceror shit hitting me interrupts my casts, should i just leave her as fighter forever so she can tank for me?
>playing hard mode since the beginning
>random goblins jumping out of a bush offscreen or a wolf jump off screen can kill me in 1 hit even at level 18
what the hell have i done
Only do the escort quest of the character you want to fug.
Shit I didn't know your port crystal ports the one you're guarding too, going to do it that way from now on. Too bad selene died on the way to the spring already though. Eh, she was a minor character.
I like having other pawns for carrying shit and being distractions for difficult enemies. It's nice to have an ogre's attention split between four people as an example.
And I'd keep your pawns as a Warrior or whatever class you want for a bit just to get important augments. Then switch them back. It's what I did for my healer pawn. I made her into a sorcerer for a bit to get some augments then switched her back. Thinking about making her a fighter for a bit too to get some health augments.
Go to black cat, then you have to find a messenger that runs around town (make the quest your active one to see him marked on the map) he usually stops at caxtons around noon. Once you have met with the messenger you can go to the hill north of gran soren where you will find a cave, at cut scene will let you know you've come to the right place.
Hey guys I need your advice for a melee mystic knight build (hard mode).
Are these stats ok?
I see the benefit but I just prefer managing less things at once, and having multiple of them talking annoys me.
Anyway, is there another vocation with a taunt skill? if not i'll just do like you said and get some augments and change back to fighter
Why does Dragon's Dogma have such fucking good sound direction? Every single sound in this game just feels good to listen to through headphones, be it mining ore, walking on sand, or navigating menus. It's just so fucking satisfying to hear.
Save game editing/transferring(even from console DA):
That's fair, but I'd almost recommend going solo at that point since there are some augments that make you do more damage going solo. It's rough, and I don't know if it works as a magic user, but it could be neat.
And I don't believe there is. Some of the ranged classes have skills that somewhat distract or stun enemies, but nothing that taunts them to my knowledge.
Capcom is pretty good about sound design in general. Look at Resident Evil with its obsessive footstep noise accuracy. That or the thousands of well known sound effects that come from their games.
Just one of their more unnoticed skills.
I did the Cassardis mayor's escort quest. He wanted to go the the shadowfort. My adventure was very much similar to yours except I encounter a dragon along the way and I ended up hunkered down in a magic fountain trying to wait out the night as goblins and ghosts attacked me the whole time. It was pretty awesome in retrospect.
>I had to go back to work after a week of being sick at home and pretty much non stop playing dragons dogma.
>Last thing my pawn says before I exit.
"I'll ill miss this dank place."
Dank indeed nigga, but I will miss it indeed, aught.
how do you take screenshots with Seyter version?
Gransys goes to hell after you kill Grigori, but are most quests still available at that time? I mean, it just feels weird that they introduce a whole bunch of new creatures, but the game is pretty much over.
Pro tip for new players, go northwest of Gran Soren to the healing fountain and bring some empty flasks. You can fill them as much as you want and they heal a decent amount for your whole party. It's pretty nice if you blow through greenwarish often and you're still early in the game.
Also, keep some skeleton keys on you. You can buy one every once in awhile from the forger in Gran Soren and find one in a chest above the staircase to the duke's castle. Very few doors will need one, but having some on hand is always a good idea.
One big weird thing in PC version that almost made me quit before I began was that I changed my mind on my characters name. Went to backspace it and blam! Back button is backspace, so to delete name had to hit backspace, then go back into edit basic deets, then change name. Then press button to select that box for some reason, then backspace to delete one letter, then repeat. For a 10 letter name.
rate my slut
but the game is pretty much over.
>ENBs, retexture and simple value adjustments
KBM has some cool AHK scripts some dude in /vg/ made. Press 1 button to cast a skill, no modifiers etc.
I like gamepad though.
Like anyone gives a shit about what ign thinks
Which vocation has stamina-enhancing augments, like stamina regain up or stamina reduction down?
Mystic Knights are best with a 40/60 split (phy/mag), as most of the most useful skills are magic based. If you want go physical you are probably better off choosing Assassin or Fighter instead.
Stab them in the face, use staggering attacks to their legs, jump and grab them when they run, swing, miss, and do the long winded "I'm out of balance!!" animation
Fire rapes them silly, they have Saurian-tier armor everywhere else in their body.
Aim for the face and don't bring women. Otherwise they're a bit tanky. Unlike cyclops they don't have gigantic obvious weak spots or parts that can be cut off. Once you get to a higher level they become trivial.
But then you run into Elder Ogres.
>About to return to the city
>Suddenly A FUCKING GRIFFON WHAT THE FUCK descends upon my party
>Get it to half health, after which it decides to fuck off into the sky
>See it circling and angling for a dive-bomb
>"oh hey, i think i saw a .webm of this shit once!"
>Begin charging the senator armstrong strike with the intention of whacking the bird in its head just as its about to hit me
>Blunder the timing miserably
>The bird pummels me, then snatches me up in the air
>Drops me down to my death
>Last save was 30mins ago
Post-Dragon. Honestly though it's gonna push your shit in until you get gear from there anyway. Just don't go in under like level 45-50.
Strider/Ranger. Just check the wiki for augments.
this guy says he wants to be my bff. is he legit?
Mage is more fun by far. Fighter is basic sword and board. Not that that's bad, but casting giant spells is naturally going to be more interesting.
I still prefer Strider though to start. Shooting a bow in DD is fun.
If I understand the vocation changing correctly, I could potentially play every vocation, unlock all the skills in each vocation until I get the best ones I need, mix and match until I build an ultimate character?
>mfw my pawn has a bunch of Unfamiliar Foes in their bestiary
>mfw people have actually been using my pawn
Throwing skulls and oil vials doesn't seem to bother them while the have their back to you. Get them cursed and tarred up and begin the fight with a dragon Spit and and just keep throwing the throw blasts until its dead.
Who the fuck are you? I married Madeline or whatever her name was, who's this schmo?
Yes, but keep in mind stats are effected by what vocation you are at the time of leveling up. So if you spend 90% of the game in physical damage dealing vocations your magick stat may be shitty. Not to the point of being useless, but not the strongest it could be.
Best thing to do is pick either magick or strength as your focus. That way your doing vocations that support that no matter what since there aren't really many augments that support one style in another vocation that supports the other. Example being there aren't many useful augments in the mage vocation for someone who is doing strength stuff, so not much reason to max that vocation out.
A lot of skills can't be used by more than one vocation and most can only be used with a certain type of item equipped, which is limited by your vocation (Mystic Knights are the only vocation that can use Magick Shields and therefore are the only one that can use Magick Shield skills). There are however augments, which are unlocked by attaining rank with a particular vocation. Once they're bought they can equipped even when you switch vocations, but you can only have 6.
Hard is a crapfest not because it's too hard, but because it's too hard in the beginning, but once you finally break through and get some levels, the game is even EASIER than normal because you get more XP faster.
It really isn't worth it. The game isn't ever gonna be hard in a meaningful way, at least not until BBI and even then it's just some of the encounters. It's more about the journey, playing around with different classes, having a fun adventure.
Just play on normal, Arisen. You can't go wrong.
COULD YOU PEOPLE PLEASE STOP USING MY HEALSLUT MAGE IN YOUR PARTIES!
SHE'S MY PURE MAIDEN WAIFU, ONLY MINE!
Then the ogre will get excited and become more active.
But on BBI it's the reverse, if you're male they'll get excited which is arguably much worse since Elder Ogres are a fucking pain.
Do you like crawling all over shit or shooting out thousands of energy orbs? Assassin can crawl on stuff and stab it in the face incredibly fast or deep, while Mystic Knight can shoot out hundreds of magic orbs.
Master perfect blocking. Do it at the right time and you'll set of an enchantments effects. That or use the magic orb stuff.
No. unfamiliar foes are the subspecies of enemies you've found but haven't encountered yet. Kill a goblin and you'll gain knowledge of hobgoblins, grim goblins, greater goblins and goblin shamans but they'll be unfamiliar foes until you actually encounter them.
Yes and No
Leveling as a certain vocation affects your characters base stat growth. Say if you played as a Fighter ur whole carreer, but then later unlocked all the augments and went sorcerer, your stats would still be allocated as if you levels fighter, as opposed to someone who leveled as a sorcerer and unlocked all the augments.
Anons, it was someone bitching on the steam forums about it. You really didn't need to write a paragraph telling me to gitgud, I even forgot the edit he left in my post.
>reach Gran Soren
>head to the inn
>"oh, neat, a quest board!"
>~*~*~fabulous~*~*~ Reynard escort quest
>"what could go wrong?"
>he wants to go to a fucking encampment all the way to the north
>decide to make preparations
>make my way there
>get bombarded by wolves and bandits
>reach the abbey in spookywoods
>approach river, ambushed by saurians, barely manage to kill them
>running low on curatives
>keep on trucking on with Reynard in tow
>having a fun time even though he can't run for shit
>go up mountain path, get assailed by nasty misandrist bandits
>reach their fortress by nightfall
>"Their leader is an infamous misandrist."
>go inside anyway
>they don't attack me
>confident as hell, almost there
>mfw that entire path to the encampment
>skeleton mages and ghosts fucking everywhere
>chimera swiping at me from the darkness
>constantly have to restart because it keeps killing Reynard
>decide to carry him and run to the encampment
>almost there, Reynard is low on health
>reach the entrance
>ghost passes through Reynard right as I put him down
>suddenly want to smash my controller
>do it again, finally reach the encampment
fuck escort quests
Yes, level vocations for augs you want. For assassin and warrior some shit like improved damage, stamina, or stamina use when clinging to enemies is incredibly useful but can only be found in other vocations.
Just check the wiki for augments. I believe the ranger and fighter at least have some you'll want.
>controller arrows don't work
>have to use the stick
>buying things is super fucking annoying
no. kick that nut stealing faggot to the curb.
>Go into the Rift with the intention of getting a beefy Fighter Pawn for my group
>Nothing but ~50kg lolis everywhere
>played dark arisen so many times on my 360
>know by heart where each destination is before hand
>place as many portcrystals as I can at each destination
>when it's time for the escort quests, all I simply do is ferrystone my way instantly to the end locations, takes 15 secs max
Portcrystals are the real MVP
>tfw charging stone forest right infront of an chimera
>strider pawn buddy pounces on his eyes like a fucking cat before he stops my charge
>finish the cast and take it from near full to dead
This is what happens when you put utilitarian on your warriors.
That or a very neat coincidence.
I just found out escorts teleport with you when you use a ferrystone. This would have saved me so much trouble when I played it on console.
>pick up reynard escort quest
>immediately remember it from the console version
>say fuck that and head to the everfall with reynard in tow
>that ogre knocks him off the cliff
He probably did me a favor.
>full party of warriors
I should've thought of this sooner
Serious question ive been looking but never got any answer, is there any multiplayer in this game?
>go into aelinore's chambers
>she's all over me
>duke comes in and does his thing
>"OH ARREST THAT VILLAIN, SHE STOLE INTO MY ROOM"
>get my ass beat in jail
>she feels "so sad ;-;" and gives me keys
>talk to her afterward
Fuck that bitch. At least I can pay Madeleine to not fuck me over.
So whats the appeal of the combat?
I tried the demo and it feels like im just spamming arrows or spells or climbing up and spamming stabs. I'm never really in danger, just mindlessly mashing attack. Players and pawns never really seem to get hit in youtube vids either.
If you don't walk out, he chokes her to death and you leave.
I just love that, if you step out, the duke has a look on his face the whole time of not believing her shit, and he then sends her away to be killed at another manse.
will you be my hero and escort me half way across the world?
Not really. You can summon other pawns players make, including friends, but outside of that you can't play together or with people.
There's an MMO of DD, but it hasn't been localized.
It's so unbelievably fun
At first, it just said the Healing Springs, then more markers started showing up that were ten minutes walks away but nowhere near anything else.
Fuck, I dread getting the achievements in this game.
>That guy with a pawn with 1 skill and no augs
You can be a fighter, but it's recommended to switch to some other vocations to get augments that will help you. Check the wiki. Vocations like Strider and Warrior might have some augments you want when you're a fighter.
Anyone else have a crash to the desktop when zoning into a town or entering a loading screen for anything?
You can be whatever for as long as you want
However, you might wanna invest some levels into Warrior to unlock a passive that increases your strength by 20% (multiplicative) and he also has the aug that reduces stamina cost.
But tl;dr, play with whatever class you want
If you don't care about other people's pawns or if others see your pawn then the only other online event is the Ur-dragon. There is only one online Ur-dragon and whatever damage you deal it during your encounter is added on with everyone else's. When the Ur-dragon finally dies you get experience and rewards based on the amount of damage you were able to add and you can read a monument of everyone that helped defeat it. The offline Ur-dragon is much easier to kill, you get a set amount of experience and a single random reward.
I really just love how many really awesome moments there are that are so perfect they seem scripted but aren't. Like this just happened
>Doing the quest with the ancient text that takes you to the hill with the weird guys in the rocks in the hills
>on the way back run into a swarm of harpies
>no big deal
>harpies won't stop fucking coming
>out of nowhere one of those huge ass lions with a goat and a snake leap the fuck out at me
>realize there's no way I can win this fight
>see the city in the distance, the river is about half way between me and it, decide if I get into/across the river the lion fucker can't follow me
>start hauling ass frantically towards the river mashing F3 so my character will keep yelling "Come!" at my pawns so they don't get left behind and follow me
>look back after a few seconds, nearing the river, wonder why my pawns have fallen back
>look forward, realize I'm about to fall off a giant cliff
>too late fall off anyway, lose half of my health in the fall
>a billion fucking lizard niggers start poking me with their dicks
>desperately fight off the lizard men on my way to the castle
>barely survive but made it back
>realize I left the oven on
TY BASED CAPCOM
what skills/augs should I add to my loli mage slave so she's popular?
>Read on wiki about all the cons of warriors
>Decide to say fuck it and play it anyways since I like big tanky motherfuckers
>Running with a party of Sorcs
>They blast shit while I cleave fuckers in half with a flaming great sword
Holy shit this much fun should be illegal
>Destroy Saurian's Nest
>Killing their eggs
>Giant Saurian Boss appears with 2 generic Saurian bodyguards
>oh boy this is going to be fun
>Saurian Boss dies just as fast as the generic ones
My one big disappointment with this quest, taught it's gonna be as epic as fighting against cyclops/chimeras/orges
>huge ass lions with a goat and a snake
hue hue hue
Which torso armor is this anyway? All fucking torso armor hide the silver chest.
Somebody should rent my girlfriend.
Is anybody else not getting RC? I haven't gotten a single thing, even though I know my friends have rented her.
>Actively hunting for Big Monsters to kill
>See pic related
>its roar ohko my pawns and seal my skills
>proceed to get raped anally by it
Well that was fun
>Get sent to jail
>Literally can't get out because NPCs don't even respawn apparently
>Last checkpoint is 6 hours behind when I rested at some inn
So who else modded Into Free back into the game as the intro song?
I missed this shit
What level should I be doing BBI at?
Level 21 and I was able to get to the first part(?) pretty easily. Big open thing with many doors, and a weird guy that trades stuff. Too afraid to go on any further
>can't find material to upgrade armor
>finally just look it up on the wiki
>can be found in the cave under the chief's house in cassardis
>cave under the chief's house
hundreds of hours and 3 years later, still finding new stuff
>in one of the locked cell, there is a partially destroyed wall; this leads to a secret route out of the dungeon that is required for a handful of quests, namely Arousing Suspicion and An Innocent Man. During these quests, this secret route must be used, otherwise the player will be placed back in their cell again. Like other cells in the Dungeon, it also requires a Skeleton Key to unlock.
>it also requires a Skeleton Key to unlock.
>it also requires a Skeleton Key to unlock.
>it also requires a Skeleton Key to unlock.
>it also requires a Skeleton Key to unlock.
>it also requires a Skeleton Key to unlock.
So wait, I just did Everfall. Got to the bottom, investigated the light then these Tentacle things came up. All my pawns were shouting "We must escape master! we can't win!" so I just went back up the stairs at sanic speed and returned to Barnaby
C-can I go back down and kill whatever was down there or what?
>Doing an escort quest.
>Hear a roar.
>Wyvern sitting right in the middle of the path up ahead.
>Try to sneak my way past it.
>Looking good, I can the path narrow into a ravine. If I can just make it past I'll be safe.
>Goblin horde right in front of the entrance to the ravine
>Okay, fuck. If I can just deal with them right here and not attract attention I'll be fine.
>Things seem to be going well, but fuck there's a lot of goblins.
>Fucking Wyvern through the trees, fire glowing from the black of his throat.
>Shit shit shit.
>One of my pawns gets lit the fuck up, flaming and flailing. She drops to the ground. My healer, and the one keeping our escort alive.
>Wyvern slams into the ground ontop of her, I sprint in dodging it's swipes and try to get her up.
>I make it just in time and get her up.
>Suddenly everything goes black.
>Start panicking, running around like a maniac. No items on me to deal with this.
>Trying to navigate my way to the ravine, avoiding the sounds of the Wyvern and Goblins.
>Calling out to my pawns to follow.
I'm amazed I made it out of that. I gave both the pawns that helped me through it 5 stars and gifts, even if they never get them.
The house you wake up in at the start of the game you can take a left over the railing (instead of going right down the stairs) and there is a room with three chests, and beneath that room on the cliff face there is a cave with a single grave stone. That's probably the cave he is talking about.
Yeah good luck with that. Just remember every 3-5 days to check the regular spots. Also the northern way castle may provide a few. Pretty much where you see guards you may find one.
