>I want to make video games!!
>majors in video game design
>I want to make rap music!!
>majors in salsa dancing
>I want to level in sound design!!
>soundtrack is two drummers
I actually want to open up a LAN center where I live. I would need about 60,000$. Computers are really cheap to build now and I plan on using amd/amd builds and 1080p monitors. Some IPS, some TN 144hz for competitive players. The processors will be overclocked 8320s and the gpus will be 380s. I'd really like to use mech keyboards but something would have to suffer cost wise. All together I want 30 PCs up and running with steams lan license.
What do you guys think?
>doing mobile computing and web development cert in the summer
>First semester lets me choose between graphic design and and game development
I've been using photoshop since like the 6th grade, took 3 graphics classes in high school, and my dad went to school for web development and graphic design and does it daily for work
What should I do, /v/? If I took graphics I can just cheese through it and it'll be piss easy or I can learn to make shitty mobile games
Personally I'm leaning towards shitty mobile games
Let's make this vidya
>faggot goes to college
>takes intro to philosophy
>faggot now thinks he has the answers to all the universe's questions.
Am I the only one who genuinely enjoys the song/music video and doesn't know if everyone else hates it for realsies?
Yea and alcohol costs 10x less at the store then at a bar. Yet bar scenes are fucking huge. People want comradere. People want to play together in the same room. I feel likes it's such a huge untapped money maker, especially since so many people play PC games now.
Toronto, Canada here. I feel like I have to like it even if it is terrible
just like the Leafs
You should quite the program because it sounds like shit and become a welder instead.
>mfw all I have to do is clone whats popular
>majors in video game deisgn
>ends up flipping burgers at mcdicks
I liked it. Throws me in my feels a little and the goofy dancing actually boosted my self confidence since that's how I actually dance when alone in my room
>wants to be part of the year 2016
The United Nations.
Canada was a signatory for like 3 international laws regarding controlled substances. We'd have to drop out of all 3, and face backlash, to legalize it.
DUDE WEED LMAO isn't happening because Trudeau is too much of a bitch to tell the UN that Canada is a sovereign nation and doesn't need their permission.
nah, when everything in a country is running smoothly, people vote for candidates based on who the "good guy" is. (Basically who's the larger peddler of "gibs me dat".)
When shit hits the fan they run back into conservative arms.
What do you mean by experience?
I'd recommend working on /any/ personal projects that you can throw onto a github. You'd be surprised how few people decide to code in their free time. It makes you look like a better candidate when it comes to graduate jobs.
What are you talking about 'feeling like you have to like it'?
Not the song, but the
Leafs?! I'm a big fan simply because it would be empty to cheer for any other team than my home team. But fuck, no one is forcing you to like anything, in fact, hating the Leafs is probably more popular in Toronto than it is in every city aside from Montreal and Boston
Honestly can't tell if that's an attempt at a chirp or not but, try wearing a Leafs jersey in public in Toronto (or any town or city surrounding it), you'll get chirped wayyyy more than cheered.
I fucking hate you.
and everyone who thinks this way. I had a few people tell me this when I said i think Drake is a chode and and i don't like his music.
"Everybody likes him how could you not? it's like you have to"
they were serious.
I wanted to cry.
Its the same with Arkells, (for anybody who knows this fuckin gay band) except they're from my city instead of toronto. It's pathetic.
You are the reason everyone thinks Canada is shit.
When really it's just everyone in toronto that hivemind shitlords who only like things because they are established as popular, or cool and hipster.
Everybody up here in is afraid to have their own opinion and is super concerned with appearances.
I don't know how to not be distressed about it
He did it in a cheesy manner because fuckers like you would not stop talking about Drake
You'll clown him but he'll still be in your minds
>why exactly is a video game designer career bad?
It's not what you'd imagine it to be. You're basically given an impossible workload and have no say in how the game is designed (unless you're the producer, which you aren't unless you're an indie dev). Imagine being told you have to do all the textures for Just Dance 2016 and you have 3 months to do it. You pull overtime hours basically everyday just to get it done and you're paid on the same level as a Flight Attendant or Librarian.
In the end, you worked your ass off to make some shit you don't even care about because you were forced to by your boss. Probably not what most people wanted to do when they decided to "work for vidya"
The liberals were pushing for legalization so damn hard, and they can't do it?
How incompetent can a party be?
All they have to do is say "fuck it" and legalize it. No one will give a shit. And if anyone did, they'd be laughed off.
Dude, you gotta like anyone out of Canada that's popular (except Nickleback or Justin Bieber). There's only so many that make it through. I don't even know who The Weekend are but they're a canadian band that made a popular song, so I therefore like them.
Bound 2 is my fav since it's a mix of TCD Kanye with the arrogance and sound of Yeezus
Hotline Bling is still pretty good since I can't help but sing along at certain parts, especially the EVER SINCE I LEFT THE CITY part
If you like programming, get into software development. Much better field all around. Most people in the game industry actually talk about a brain drain. Where the best people tend to move away from game dev to better jobs elsewhere leaving only the shitty people working on games.
You loved him and called him often as a reminder of that affection
>UUUH MUH DIK BIX NOOD MOOP DA CO MO MUH DIIIIIK
No need to post fake lyrics, the real ones drive the point home fine.
>I know I got a bad reputation
>Walking round always mad reputation
>Leave a pretty girl sad reputation
>Start a Fight Club, Brad reputation
well in that case, most one man army guys don't make really great games. Some do, but they're few and far between. Everyone else either never finishes their game or it's something that just flies under everyone else's radar.
>Art History Majors
>Comptuer Science Majors who have no idea what to do with their degree
If Billboard said it was a number 1 hit they would. Radios just play what's charting. An intentionally bad youtube video got Hotline Bling charting and that's why it was on the radio.
this is what a friend and I are going to do.
>mfw we both can program
>mfw we're both learning UE4
>mfw I can paint and draw and program
sweet mobile shekels here we come
Computer science/software engineering degree.
An elective in 3D graphics (as in, learning about shader algorithms, etc, not babbies first blender) would be useful too.
Why does Hotline Bling start with some chick talking about her foot fetish
You don't understand. These girls are there to talk to lonely man who have lost their lovers who used to call them on their cellphones. They instead call the hotline bling to talk about the stuff they used to with their former lovers, including foot stuff.
>"disorders" literally determined by popular vote of psychologists
>have a financial interest in pathologizing as much as possible
>disorders constantly changing due to political pressure
>homosex and masochism are no longer disorders because gays and battered wives got pissed
between that and hotline bling, he received mainstream acceptance because his music was less about being a thug but more about whatever it is now. (being rich and fucking woman i guess)
male t swift basically, both dropped their original genres to blow up pop music
Majoring in design because I'm a fan of film, animation and vidya. Hope to one day use my toolbelt of talents to become a great storyteller like disney and bring my creative vision to the world.
i dunno what the hell the thread is about
im only here for the drakes
