Life moves too fast
>mfw ACDCGAMER left a comment calling my video good and then subscribed to me

>You know, those saying that what Serenity did was a good thing are probably the same people saying it's amazing that Al-Quaeda (read US goverment) decided to fly two planes in WTC. It's also cool that two jihadists decided to do some world PVP and storm Charlie Hebdo headquarters.
>mfw it took him 25 hours and the ability to go through multiple dimensions to beat the level and I beat it in 8 minutes
This guy is NOT autistic. He does have a focus disorder (OCD spectrum) but it is not autism.
It's not autism. Autism is defined by a communication disorder. This guy does not have a communication disorder. I'm not just speaking about the fact that he outright elects to make commentary for videos, but he
organizes his thoughts well
is concise, though descriptive
understands his viewers' probably boredom with the topic at hand and address it well
has a spectrum of friends he gives shout-outs to, and makes them feel appreciated as well
And that's just during his commentary on this one video. His commentary on other videos is easily as impeccable and, my real point, his response to people in his comments are extremely revealing that he's VERY aware of people and is funny, sarcastic, topical, relevant and expresses himself well.
Dedication to something trivial is not the big sign of autism. It's inability to relate to others. This guy is FANTASTIC at relating to others. So much so, he can even make a 25 minute long explanation of "how not to press A" seem interesting. He's very much the opposite of an autistic person.
>getting triggered by cartoon frogs
>using nigger speak
Why do people spend countless hours to find bugs on such an old game?
>We will never be able to have a normal Mario 64 thread without pu-fags shitting up the thread
It wasn't even that amazing, he was holding A throughout the whole level so it's not like he never pressed it.
>his response to people in his comments are extremely revealing that he's VERY aware of people and is funny, sarcastic, topical, relevant and expresses himself well.
I noticed this, too. Dude is witty.
I am incapable of looking away....
Oh I'm losin it m8
>mario can run into walls for 25 hours and travel universes
>you will always be stuck in this universe
He half-pressed it.
He pressed it before the level and held it throughout.
He labeled it as 0.5x A Presses.
Don't act like he said it was done without pressing the A button at all.
He really is. Especially in the comments about him offering $1,000 to anyone who can replicate and properly record the data of a glitch that has only be done once. He's got humor in addressing people he recognizes as idiots or trolls. Hell, he even chuckles in the beginning of the linked video when he speaks about people asking, every time, about "what a half press is." He's aware that no one fucking reads his video descriptions, which are explicitly designed to explain wtf he's doing, and finds it amusing other people are too lazy or inept to just scroll through and read.
He's actually quite masterful about communicating what he's doing. Very very very few people would understand just what game mechanics he's abusing if he weren't SO GOOD at describing, using visuals (charts, replays, graphs, data), showing calculations and explaining abstract concepts. I will say it's extremely odd to spend this much time to even do this stuff in the first place, I constantly find myself asking "WHY?" during all this, but it's really just an interest of his and frankly, he made something as banal as getting a star in Mario 64 without jumping seem interesting. Something that would make me say "no, wtf, I don't care about that" actually turn around and say "huh, well shit, that was...pretty cool. And enlightening."
I've been here since 2015, and even I don't get this meme. Could someone kindly explain? Thanks!
>you will never be a professional scuttlebug herder
>Still up after all these years
Jesus how long has it been since I last watched this?
As a case worker for autistic kids the number one thing that I see is a lack of clear organization and over looking small details. Autistic people don't seem to care about the little things and will only focus on things that are big, abstracts are definitely out of the picture for them to focus on. So the very concept of taking all this time to sit and complete one portion of a multi-layered plan is not autistic, autistic is sitting and pressing a button on a Clicker game for thirteen hours straight with no upgrades, or doing something painfully mundane for hours at a time with no concept of what time is.
He explains it, very well, multiple times. Watch the video. I can easily tell you, but in a way I feel that is a disservice to this guy since he details EXACTLY what the scuttlebug is being used for.
Long version: he needs the scuttlebug to jump, freeze, jump, freeze over and over to gain height right next to the platform that houses the start he's trying to get. He has to build up shittons of speed so he breaks the boundaries of math the game set for Mario to move around in so that, by angling him, he travels the level to key spots in the map that raise him higher and higher. Eventually, after going up slopes, riding an elevator and hopping onto another star platform, he can launch himself at the scuttlebug. When he hits the scuttlebug, he bounces just a few centimeters higher, does a ground pound for just a few more centimeters, and lands on the platform near the star he wants and stops his momentum. Short: he needed the scuttle bug to bounce off of since he wasn't high enough to get to the platform.
>tfw someone copied my joke from the last thread
This keeps getting posted as "LOL AUTISMS" but it's actually nothing like autism, at all, and is actually pretty fucking cool.
Anons just mad that they didn't know about parallel universes like the mad scrubs they are.
To everyone thinking this guy
...you're meme-spouting idiots. These guys have it right:
This guy is not autistic in the least. He's pretty much the opposite. He's the used car-salesman, the charismatic James Bond of Mario. He can make big, huge, bizarre abstract concepts and show everyone how it works and is fucking good at it. Nevermind the application of the idea, he revels in the idea itself. This is not autism. Just a man who likes Mario and math.
yeah its a pretty niche thing to care about but at least the guy has passion
you have to admire it in a weird way, i just hope that he's doing all that weird shit in his free time and not "for a living"
The thing is, that's what most of /v/ actually thinks autism really is: focusing on something longer than they would.
And honestly, at this point, it's like jocks in the 80s calling other students "nerds" because they "focus on that dumb nerd shit" like drawing, reading, or doing anything for a long period of time.
Fuck man, according to /v/ any wad maker for Doom is autistic as fuck since you have to spend so much time to make one decent level; let alone a whole wad.
this entire thread turned into a flood of nostalgia into autism general
good job /v/
>Obsessively lists every poster he disagrees with
>insists on an anally strict definitions
Low on the scale, but still registering
>being surprised that /v/ is crawling with self unaware autists
You guys know emulation can be sped up right? Even if he didn't all he had to do was just queue the inputs and just ignore it for a while then come back to it. It's not like he just sat at his computer staring at the emulator for 12 fucking hours.
Clones don't send or recieve signals. SO if you clone e.g. a coin then for the moment the corresponding real coin will disappear, BUT if you now go a bit away and come back so the coins reappear it will be there again! So you got a coin out of nothing. Rinse and repeat.
There's this speedunner who's just as bad. Literally sits there and hunts the same old games for glitches. For hours on end. All day, every day.
>And then there are his words. When asked about the fact that in his city, the average life of a citizen lasted only 50 years, he stated: "Health of the Sims was not a priority, relative to the main objective."
Fuck you guys for making me remember this shit
mfw the first time i watchet that was when it came in cd that came with a Magazine about computers that always had the dankest memes of the month on it
They are not really parallel universes though. He is just outside of the walls of the map, the "universe" he is in is just much bigger.
If he tried to leave it either he would be teleported back inside or, what is more likely, the game would crash.
People from /v/ calling someone autistic for having an attention span makes sense though, seeing how most of you guys are fucking casuals that want everything in a game handed to you.
>he just shitposts on YouTube and likes touhou vids
He plays everything on a emulator and has access to all kinds of tools and cheats, he hacked in the game the coin value just before getting the second star, do you really think he'd waste 12 hours to get the necessary speed or 4 whole days collecting coins, you fucking retard?
is there another channel with videos like this other than ulillillia? i love this kind of autistic bullshit
also i really wish people would stop posting this, it's getting old fast
The next thing I can think of is zeixpe:
He's not quite on the level of pannenkoek or ulillillia but he really knows how to abuse the soldiers in the Metal Gear Solid games.
>mario kart wii wasn't out when this video got uploaded
>4chan will never be this good again
when did it all go wrong?
why do i still come here?
>blocked in my country
>proxtube just plays it without music at some parts
Bring Back Snacks.
Just kidding that meme was terrible
It's a shame it went so downhill from there, even then there was some meme offshoot shit, but it's steadily gotten worse over the years., some years have gotten slightly better but only with lots of mod presence and only at certain times of day even then.
>Are you enjoying this delicious cake I made? I wrote out the recipe but I hired someone else to make it. BUT IT STILL COUNTS AS MINE IM TAKING ALL THE CREDIT FOR IT
This is how fucking retarded you sound.
Kill yourself you goddamn motherfucking cocksucker
stuff like this, old ytps, early smosh, people actually making content with their shite cameras without caring about e-fame, sponsors and revenue, the golden age that shall never return. The internet has been normified to the extreme.
i miss late 2000s /v/
>This is gonna be 10 fucking years old next year
This. Really, the "parallel universes" are the least interesting part of the video. All it is is abusing the fact that the game uses shorts to determine mario's collision with the level
