Not at all. I'm just speaking from the experience I have with the kids I know. Most of them would rather play Minecraft than this. All of them recognize certain Disney characters like Mickey and stuff but they still don't care about Infinity. I can't really blame them since it's been fucking forever since classic Disney characters have had a relevant TV show. Plus I know kids who describe Star Wars as "the worst movie ever made", so those figures probably do nothing to bring kids over. Don't know about Marvel characters, though.

Do you not know what "engaging" means? Minecraft makes them think, constantly. It's a never ending game and really captures never ending possibilities while playing. It's easily the most engaging game developed in the past decade; which doesn't mean it's action packed or a constant thriller. This is my biggest complaint with Dinsey Infinity. The intrinsic appeal about it is having all these characters in a big toybox where I can mix them all up. That's especially annoying for all the characters who don't have their own playsets, Those characters are effectively locked out of one of the biggest features since each playset is basically a full game. If I want to have Rapunzel fight in the Clone Wars or have Elsa join the avengers I should be able to. And yet for some reason, Disney has no problem with me doing that in the toybox levels, but those kind of have the Mario Maker problem of suffering from Sturgeon's Law.

My second biggest complaint is that playsets are not cross-version compatible, for whatever inexplicable reason. I need to boot up 1.0 if I want to play Pirates, The Incredibles, Monsters Inc., Toy Story, etc. (and 1.0 doesn't have skill tree perks which is kind of bullshit), 2.0 if I want Marvel, and 3.0 if I want Star Wars. I should just be able to play whatever I want in the latest version and have all the latest features to go with it.

I still love the game. Poking through community-made levels is kind of fun, although they tend to be a bit buggy and even the official toy boxes lack the polish and presentation of the play sets. If Disney really wants to hit it out of the park with 4.0 they need to have full compatibility for all toys and playsets, and hopefully, *maybe* let us use toys across different playsets without restriction. That was always the promise of the Infinity ecosystem at a glance, and It's time they delivered.

Here's what I've got so far. I'm torn between whether to get Captain America and Thor next, or the Frozen pack. I'll definitely play with Cap and Thor more but I like Elsa and Anna. There's also Zootopia coming out and I'm probably going to buy Nick and Judy.

I'm planning to get the Spider-Man pack at some point, however I don't really care about GOTG that much so if I get it, I'll probably trade / sell Nova and get Nick Fury instead.
