How's that gaming channel coming along /v/?
You did finally start it, right?
My low/no budget review show:
i am gay
I do fighting games. Combo videos, breakdown videos of characters, updates on certain games or DLC, play online with randoms or offline with friends. Basically like Max but not a faggot.
I need to find a medium. I find myself quite boring yet I don't want to go to Pewdiepie's level sperging on the mic. What do, /v/?
Be intelligent instead of loud and show well edited footage. You can work on your "acting" skills a bit but I don't think pretending to be someone your not will get you anywhere. Or maybe that's just me and the reason I haven o subs.
I mean, I want to be funny but not forced or retarded. Don't feel too terrible, anon. I've been sitting at 100 subs for a long while and 6 of those are IRL friends.
Honestly the best thing to do is network. Find other people with similar view counts, collab a project and hope some of their people like you and want more. Keep doing this, while keeping a steady stream of regular stuff on your channel and you'll make it over 5k in no time.
my video card recently died but i finally got a new one. i've been thinking of playing some of my favorite games to get more views for my music and then eventually start doing cooking videos too. the only other person i saw who played games and did cooking videos did stupid things like put gummy bears in salad or some other candy in a taco, and the only other gamer i saw making music did it just to sell it to people on twitch.
I'm having trouble deciding what material to make.
I make three kinds of videos, and they all seem to be liked by three different kinds of people. But rarely the same person likes the three types.
Texas, and yeah, of course.
I feel my channel will get over saturated with SFV but honestly, I do not care. Going to have fun with that game.
>make dumb youtube videos as a teenager
>rack up a couple thousand subscribers
>forget about it for years
>find out that some of them have reached a million views
>feel bad since I didn't take it anywhere or make any money
>start making new videos just to see what happens
>people are happy that I'm back, but I'm only getting like 3000 views per video
>recently posted a new video
>suddenly 100K views in a week coming in from reddit, tumblr, twitter, etc. because apparently someone famous liked it
>subscriber count is rising
oh fuck, what do I do
here you go f a m
Is that really worth it though? Wouldn't it alienate some of my viewers and be seen as a scummy thing after a decade of doing it for free? I doubt I'll be able to consistently pull in viewer numbers to make a significant amount of money just through youtube ads.
If they don't already have adblock then they probably don't even think about those types of things
adblock is so easy to access nowadays that the only people who don't use it are the type that are either too stupid or enjoy watching ads because they think it makes a difference for creators
and if they do have adblock then they wont notice you started monetizing
True, then maybe keep up the content for a couple of months and see how people react. If it's steady, then you can think about moving on to making some money.
I envy you man, I wish I had that many views on my stuff.
Good luck there.
I am from Brazil and have a game/anime/movie review channel.
I Make some let's plays here and there.
It's easy and i think i am kinda funny sometimes.
I've been trying to Get a movie to review tho....been thinking of Jason X since i hated it a lot.
The bad thing is.....I was kinda inspired by JonTron, Nostalgia Critic and the AVGN.
So it's kinda Hard to be totally original.
Don't the pleb retards on 4Chan nowadays get tired of every thread being opened with the same baitwords every single day?
I mainly do stuff like cities skylines, but I also enjoy branching out with other stuff too.
I was lucky enough to get on the ground floor with an Anno 2205 LP, so that jacked up my subscriber count by about 200 people or so. Here's hoping it continues.
7,141 subscribers and counting
It's goin pretty well, familia
30 seconds in. I laughed.
Bravo, anon. Wish I could create content like you.
I dont think its worth the effort.
I am playing the game blind, to see how it is. The music is nice at least, but god damn this fag really forces some stuff in. Maybe I will review the game if I ever end it.
I started my channel to upload my shmup 1CCs. Don't really bother to subscribe to my channel because it may take a long time to upload a video.
The video may be shit, but at least I enjoyed making it.
My channel is not growing much, I'd like some advice if anybody is willing to give some.
Everyone asked me to make more, so I did. Just uploaded my latest installment
and I think it turned out alright
You make these fucking threads daily don't you?
>It Ain't Me starts playing
How many times does calling samefag actually work anon. Im guessing not many.
>actually spent the time in MS paint copying a block of the blue background and passing it over the other "(you)"status.
anon status: NOIDED
Well, it was my first time attempting to call out a samefag.
good shit my dude
gonna start watching the LISA playthrough
I want to make educational videos but I have no fucking idea of making videos except with Movie Maker. Should I just stick with it? I want to make Spanish etymology videos with some pics at the background and shit and maybe record some game sometimes.
To be honest I think streaming is the best way to play videogames, it's funnier and viewers make it cool
I have a legit question.
What do you do?
Review, lets plays, funny clips
New games, flavor of the month, whatever is in your backlog?
And if stuff works out, how does making money out of it works?
What do I do if I want to stream PS2 & Xbox Hueg games but only want to spend $30 at most? Those Easycap devices seem too good to be true, they probably record at like 240p at best.
Not bad, I never upload though, I've got all these half-baked ideas and projects started, but nothing is finished. Never enough time in the day, and when there is, I do other shit.
Here's the video I like the most.
please gimme some feedback /v/
Coward. Reminder that Notch and Pewdiepie came from /v/ and become millionaries cause they werent afraid of self promoting.
Well, i dont remember PDP, but people say he did. Notch is 100% sure though
If /v/ want filled with assholes, this place could be a money making machine. anons make youtube channels, and each month some lucky anon get shilled to hell and back and make people rich.
kid, i like your style
[coolspoiler4u] I would pet you if you wanted [/coolspoiler4u]
What kind of channel? Reviews? LP?
If reviews, I want to be able to get the actual short end of your review first, not at the end as a summary.
LPs I generally dislike so I can't comment too much, all I can say is that as someone who dislikes them I've found direwolf20's actually rather decent to watch, might be his voice.
I see this shilled in every thread
Along with a bunch of replies saying "omg this is great, subbed"
This is a samefag isn't it
i think i know what my problem is....
im trying to make meme videos that are only 1min long
how do people find the inspiration and motivation to make 20 min videos?
I want to record no commentary gameplay but the only games I want to play right now my computer can't record. How can I motivate myself to play games that aren't my favorites so I can record them?
