>Hey cool the Pawn System, can't wait to see what PC players have done with pawns
>All wearing the free content armour or the full outfits like the dress or that faggy armour
Step up, fags. I've seen cool looking Pawns based on characters, I've seen pawns like "Big McRiptear" or "Punished Paz" and entertainment aside they're good pawns.
What's your pawn like?
Original character doughnut steal.
Need a witch hat and some black robes.
The early mage gear looks like peasant clothing while other classes have some flashy shit even early on.
So when can I start hiring hybrid vocations? I want a magick archer in my squad.
not a very good screenshot of my pawn (the white one)
im very undecisive so her appearance will change a lot, but i rarely base it on another character
I was using those armours because I was super bad at the game and they let me live a couple more hits.
They don't look that great compared to some of the stuff I've found now so I'm using the newer stuff now.
apart from the tiara and gown they look great with clothing that gives you just underwear.
I want my friend to make a generic human man so I can rent his pawn to go with my female elf sorcerer and male dwarf warrior
but he'll never shout YIU FACE A DUNEDAIN NOW so why bother
>the only pawns people use that have ratings have 5000 strength at level 30
Just kill me. Idk why I bothered working on my pawn and making it act right if I don't hack so someone else will hire it.
Old Man Gideon and Helmut the fucking idiot dwarf.
I think it's aite.
Only a sorcerer so I can get my a good mixed mag and str so I can play whatever class I want later.
I don't have a shot of them in game yet but be honest with me, would you hire this pawn at the bottom of this picture? She's Mage w/ Utilitarian/Medicant. I feel like she's not as good as the pawn I made on PS3 but that was just a Casca ripoff. Top of pic is just original the character Buff McManly Arisen.
Will you hire the cheeky monkey, /v/? He's trained with bows, long and short.
>accidentally go overboard with the eyebrows
>decide to just wait until I can find one of those makeover thingies instead of restarting
>mfw gotten attached to them
>But the general public looks for tits first
I guess I do that too, unless the man looks interesting in some way.
Found a short fat midget man with a sqeaky voice who was the damn MVP in every fight.
apparantly people were cheating there too
I don't care though, people will remain awful, at least I get to enjoy this game with a good framerate and resolution. I never thought it would happen.
>everyone's pawn is set to loot everything and then fight
Why do they do this?
generic guts like arisen and hermoine-like pawn
You buy a potion in the Encampment that resets inclinations to 0, then you buy potions for the inclinations you want. I believe they each give 250 inclination, so you need 4 of the secondary inclination and 5 of the primary inclination to get the desired effect.
lol you don't need to buy those expensive ass potions for that, you can literally tell your pawn in the chair to prioritize combat
you can acquire 5000RC (seems hard to do at the moment) to buy a thing that lets you fully recreate your pawn once. Or use cheat engine to get it ASAP
you can buy an "art of metamorphosis" for 5,000 RC at the encampment. It's a 1 time purchase and allows a redesign for your MC and pawn. Once you beat the dragon, you can purchase an infinite version of it.
>tfw I tried to influence my pawn but she's picking up bad habits and ignoring when I try to fix them
Please let someone hire my pawn so I can buy some potions with the riftbucks
Is there a reason I can't get An Uninvited Guest to pop up? It says the requirements are Cutting the Hydra's head but it's not activating. Does this quest disappear when I get to Gran Soren?
>game's been out for years but no doujins where a Pawn gets called to another world and "taught" lewd things and comes back to her master as a slut, with tattoos and body piercings as a gift
What the fuck japan.
>standing around with rook
>he starts smashing shit
>get irritated because he keeps doing it
>an item drops out of the debris
>both of us begin smashing everything ever
>find a cart full of red barrels
>wonder if they are exactly what they say on the tin
>before I can react Rook runs up and smashes the cart
>half a dozen barrels detonate at once sending us flying
>land and recover faster (does size and weight affect that?)
>immediately scoop rook up off the ground and toss him off the conveniently nearby cliff
sprinkled a little david bowie in her
It's like Kyle Hyde starred in Berserk.
Why do I feel like a pimp making my pawn pretty and giving her the best gear everytime I sleep at an inn. I even tell her to be nice and dont talk back to the customer. What has this game done to me
karsa orlong and samar dev, poorly recreated in dragons dogma
Where do pawns get the "SMASH EVERYTHING" behaviour from? Even the fucking default Rooke ass just smashed everything, which my char never did.
Nah dude don't change her she looks good!
My pawn is a warrior, his strength only matched by the power of his heart.
Just started it up.
Should I make a Triss pawn or a Yennefer pawn?
Help me decide /v/.
If I swap out save data files so I can have multiple files can my pawns still be hired online? Having only one file is stupid. I want to try out all the classes but this game has character builds so you can't effectively do that without multiple save files.
Planning on going Magick archer.
Something like 1-10 mage 20ish levels ranger and the rest sorceror.
How does discipline work? Should I not buy skills as I level or can i buy them and have enough for when I switch to MA? Do any of the skills I get on mage/ranger stay available as MA?
Looks like I'm not the only one. That's just...come ooon.
I sold all my pawn's clothes except for that because I changed to Warrior and I can't afford the sword. Shit, I still can't.
I was moreso wondering whos pawn it was I picked up.
Any tips on how to get like 5k gold when I dont even have a weapon to swing
Yep! Here's someone else's pawn that I hired to be my qt Orc Amazonian bodyguard.
Do I have to bribe to get out, or can I break out ?
I have been here for the past 15 minutes trying to figure a way out without wasting money on a bribe.
Friendly reminder to avoid hiring pawns that wear the free armor sets.
My pawn is a delicious arrogant loli.
Here she is wearing her pajamas.
This actually looks like a loli, and not a midget with retardedly wide hips.
Good job, would give headpats/10.
>make a loli
>give it a huge ass for memes
>make it a mage because I need a buff slut
>it just looks fucking stupid in mage gowns
>accidentally chose the wrong voice so its pitch is incredibly high
>refuses to shut the fuck up even on timid
>NO ONE would ever summon this faggot thing
>can't change it until I get 5000FC
F U C K .
What I do with pawns is this
>just search for gender and skill combo I like
>hire them as long as they look vaguely properly proportioned
>be it either regular humans, or dwarfs or orcs, but no le maymay le sliders xD trololo characters
>if the pawn I've hired is dressed skimpy I buy them a cheap shirt or pants
That's what happened with the lady in white behind me, she was only wearing a bra and I bought her a shirt.
Hope her master is thankful for it. I mean apart from her getting cold, it's also indecent the be so naked around this kid I adopted.
>Walk near barrels
>They smash them
>Climbing on boxes
>lol smash them
>Visiting the loli witch
>They smash her jars
>Visiting my own house
>They don't smash anything
Weird but annoying overall
Anyone got DSR working?
I heard it wasn't supported, some faggot on steam discussions spurged out and convinced me it was supported so I purchased and lo and behold it is not supported.
I've seen this only once before.
>Do the witch loli escort quest
>Immediately set upon by a griffin, but we survive even if the bitch just loves running between the thing's legs.
>Finally arrive to our destination, dat pretty spring
>Take off all my pawn and my clothes and just frolick in the water a while, picking them up and throwing them in it.
It was kinda fun but tfw can't romance your pawn ;_;
>tfw play a disgusting old man
>hire female waifu pawns
>pick them up and molest them
>throw them off a cliff
What's wrong with warriors?
so i made an elf knight but i'm worried that the fighter class will get boring, if the tutorial was any indication, what can it do except mediocre shield slam and taunt? there aren't any polearms and such right?
also i'm probably make a grizzled older man pawn
that looks like my dad because i love him
Most PC players haven't even beaten the game yet, don't fault them for wearing the only decent armor they can get until midgame. I'm on my way to fight Grigori with my amazon qt3.14.
Made her a musclegrill, but afterward realised her lips gave her kind of a manface
Starting to grow on me desu
SHould I make my pawn the same vocation as me so it learns more?
My problem with fighter is that the shield feels so useless. I never really use any of the shield skills except maybe the aggro thing if they pile up on the mages.
Can you equip sword+bow on assassin? Is it any fun to do so?
>not a single hire for my muscle wizard
I hope you people choke on all those lolis.
I mean, you can perfect block most attacks with a shield, not to mention you can block guaranteed knock-downs like the Chimera Roar with your shield too. Launching Strider/Assassin pawns with your shield is pretty awesome too.
Otherwise yes, you can do Sword + Bow Assassin and it's ok, the issue is that you'll almost never really be using the bow outside of some niche situations.
I've been playing strider for at least 25 or so levels but i feel like i need to change before i sprout long ears. Damn fun vocation though.
based mine on ff9 Beatrice when it was on ps3 i havent played that game in years..i wonder how much RC i might have..
Some of us like to mix things, OP.
Been wondering something.
I might be wrong but wasn't the player allowed to use Strider skills as an Assassin after meeting certain criteria?
Also, shileds + daggers?
HOLY SHIT FUCK THESE FUCKING FIREWOLVES
I try to fight them but they blast me with a fireball, and 1 microsecond after getting up I get blasted by another fireball. How do I fight these fucks?
that's a nice brown girl you got there
Is it better to have your pawn be the same or a different vocation from you?
Inspired by would at least try to match the look in the game's limits
It's like me saying I'm inspired by Luke Skywalker and I make a white guy that doesn't even slightly resemble Mark Hamill, and doesn't have any of the kinds of clothing he wore in the movies
Jaw, cheek bones, lips and nose are also very similar, yours has freckles though.
It wasn't meant as an insult Ronda is pretty fucking hot, in and can kill me while fucking and there's nothing I could do about it kind of way.
Im playing as a strider then magick archer, what vocation should my pawn be?
pic related, its my pawn im making
I pretty much unintentionally made my pawn look like my arisen's dad.
some one should do a arrow version
My pawn is Sir Friendly
He just wants to defend you and hold down things so you can kill them, and help you get fit
The game already has enough options to make what you'd like. The only thing it would truly affect would be making retard size busts (which already deform to the verge of unattractiveness at max default). The only problem with the character edit is a lack of an ass slider, which cheat engine isn't going to magically implement.
>never cared much for DD
>one day after playing some japanese MMO decide to also try DDO
>game is actually pretty good
>fall in love with my pawn
>DD gets announced on PC
>put off buying a PS3
>pre-order on day 1
>actually get to play the game
>combat is slightly better than MMO version but
>character editor is a lot shittier than the DDO one
>also doesn't have the cute japanese voice from it
>will never have my pawnfu again unless I return to cash shop pay2quest game
"Bitch, how many times do we have to go through this sit down before you give me the option to shut your mouth again?"
Seriously guys... why won't it trigger.
I sometimes for the heck of it, throw enemies at my pawn, now instinctively when I do it she says "I got it!" and slashes it in mid air. Its not at all efficient but it sure is fun.
Also rate my Strider Arisen.
Id post my pawn but I'm not at home and it's based off my
If you're level 20 post picture/name of your pawn if you want it used
like the whore she is
I've seen a Zangief posted by some guy yesterday so I used him despite having only 1 skill and starter clothes.
>really cute looking pawn with pretty clothes
>absolutely no skills whatsoever
Is this a waifu trap?
>that feel when no one truly appreciates your perfectly chiseled features
Smug Wolverine. Currently rolling Strider for dat dere Arm/Leg-Strength. Going to be making the rounds for Warrior and Ranger as well, but he's mainly a Fighter.
>do Come to Court after like 50 hours of fucking around and doing other things
>finally see my love Mercedes
>"Yes this is what I saved all this Cloudwine for!"
>talk to her directly after the cutscene and shower her in Cloudwine
>she LOVES it
>accidently press X outside the dialogue menu and attack her
>guards run up to us and jail me
>mercedes hates me now
>walk back to court after bribing the guard still in prisoner rags
>some fat guy won't stop talking about Dragon's or sum shit while I just want to apologize to my brown waifu
>find out I missed out on the cute princess quest line because of this
>it auto-saved everything
If this isn't suffering nothing is.
Hes that generic old white guy from the body selection.
His name is snoop.
He heals people and shoots lightning (he hangs with "the hardest wizzads, yo" so hes mad strong apparently)
I also gave him the deepest voice in the game
A large majority of the time I dont even know what hes saying.
Making a male pawn that people will want is pretty difficult
what does /v/ think of my Nathan Explosion pawn?
Here is my blue love pawn from way back when
>not hiring GabeN to protect you with his burly fighter arms.
That's a pretty good reason
I didn't post in another thread
he's a lot more bulkier than marilyn manson
I'm not super happy with how my pawn turned out, but I like my edgy shonen protag arisen.
Slowly getting rid of that shitty DLC gear.
Seems I also managed to overlook Reynard being gangraped by goblins when I started.
Nothing is really difficult, the tougher bosses just have 6-11 health bars so its tedious.
There is fast travel with ferrystones and portcrystals though.
There is no co-op, the online functionality is only for hiring other player's pawns.
Nobody has ever really said this game was difficult.
Almost every thread had people saying there's some difficulty early on, but the rest is easy mode regardless of difficulty.
Left is my Arisen, right is my pawn.
I've named them Funk Jones and The Hustle.
They're out to get the band back together.
Damn it /v/, you're literally playing with dolls now
Is it safe to put your items to other peoples pawns inventory?
The shit in their inventory automatically goes into storage?
>made a huge black afro muscle wizard pawn on the PS3
>was hired maybe 5 times
well at least I had fun with him
Going to make a big burly max height pawn who will throw me on top of monsters and shit.
I made my pawn look like an old transexual, so I'm assuming the opposite would be true.
Despite the lack of full, complete fine tuning, I'm kind of amazed at how many different characters you can successfully make in this game, in terms of appearance.
nice fuck boy but he could stand to look a little more feminine
I want him to look very androgynous, but with a face and hair leaning more on the feminine side. Skinny body, but no boobs or wide hips. He has to be passable, but not look TOO feminine, you know what I mean?
Higher level shields have higher stability, and getting most to 3-star upgrade also improves it a lot. Getting the core skill Deflect also makes perfect blocking (blocking at the last moment) never break your guard and deals heavy knockback to the enemy in return.
Generally you don't want to just hold block trying to tank hits. You block in situations where having your guard broken but not getting hit is preferable to getting hit (large slow enemies), or you learn to time perfect guards which function more like a parry.
>I made my pawn look like an old transexual, so I'm assuming the opposite would be true.
Nah, it's always easier to make something look uglier. Making something that could
be passed as a girl in these threads without anyone noticing is probably impossible.
>Game has free armour DLC which negates 90% of the game's actual armour.
>download has been stuck on 13.9gb for almost an hour
What happens to other people's pawns if they die on your travels? Do the items they took go to your item box?
I was doing the quest to find the lost research team, and my entire AI party ended up falling in the pools of water before the Cyclops.
I sized it down in paint.net because I didn't want it to be native.
Thanks for the honest. I'm considering completely remaking my Arisen+Pawn with a theme I think is pretty neat.
They go home and yes.
Yes but remember you only have one. You have to finish the game to get an unlimited use one or use CE.
>Do the items they took go to your item box?
>I miss my new game + character from Xbox
>My lantern disappeared
>A bronze statue from my inventory disappeared
WHERE IS MY FUCKING LANTERN CAPCOM I CAN'T SEE SHIT
You know what would be a completely useless but fun feature that'd work well with this AI learning system?
Pawn tournaments where you team your pawn with other 3 from your friends and pit them against monsters/maybe other pawns.
Matches are spectated and players can bet RC on who will win.(And owners receive prizes)
where can I get clothes like this
I'm sorry I couldn't make a worldwide census of all the computers that ever tried to play Dragon's Dogma anon, but it's late and I'd rather fap. You'll have to do with my experience with the game for now.
I really like this armor, it wasn't in Vanilla
No, i just have a shit monitor
Vanilla being DD, not DD:DA
Black Cat, super fucking expensive though.
I fucking hated the game until I got to the point where I had to fight that huge stone golem with the gloomy areas that I had to hit. That was a pretty damn cool fight. Got a nice sword for my pawn afterwards too.
I'm really digging Strider so far but I don't use the dagger skills all that much. Is Archer pretty much like a Strider but just with bows? Is my movement speed and the likes not going to get fucked up?
